ALL characters will be beginning on the homeworld of Raq'tak. Below is a quick summary of what you should know to help create your character.
The galaxy is much different from the milky way. It doe's not have a singular name, because there are far too many names for it to begin with. Species of various planets call it many things, but the one that has stuck in most, if not all their heads, is The Dorogan Galactic Empire. hundreds of star systems make up the Dorogan Empire, and have for longer than many can remember. The Dorogan are about as close to humans as you can get. They are bipedal, with two arms, with a variety of complexions and colors. They make up the majority of the controlling forces of the Empire, with species of different planets creating councils, governing bodies, and soldiers for its armies.
Currently, the Galaxy is in a state of civil war. For the first time in a thousand years the planets have begun to turn on their imperial overlords who have been imposing higher taxes, tighter laws, and restricting their citizens rights beyond their liking. Several of the planets have begun to break off from the empire, forcing its peacekeepers and ships off the planets and enforcing their own laws. This has made sections of the galaxy much more dangerous for those who fly under the Imperial flag. Luckily, your characters won't have to worry about that.
The group for this RP will be composed of Mercenaries, Vigilantes, Rebels, and Bounty hunters. For some reason or another, you are working outside the laws of the Empire and have made a name for yourself in the galaxy as one of the best. Weather its drug trafficking, slave transportation, hired gun, or assassin; you make your living doing whatever job you can find.
Thats where everyone will begin, you have received word that there is a job waiting on the planet of Raq'tak. The transmission you received was a bit garbled, but it was clear that the pay was very much worth your time.
So this pretty much summarizes, common knowledge of the galaxy. Between this and the summary of the story, you should have a clear idea of how this galaxy works. Once characters have been created, I may contact you with a small amount of knowledge that the others might not be privy to for storytelling purposes. The last thing, you need to delete everything below the star when you post your CS.
