Music character playlists (?)

i don't know if other people do this, but when i have a character that i use in a lot of roleplays, i tend to make a playlist to listen to when i write them and as they develop in the plot i add more songs.

I will listen to certain kinds of music to capture a mood, but I've never thought of this. Character specific playlists sound like a great idea. Quite creative. *thumbs up.*

Boy do I love playlists. I try to make one for each of my characters!

Generally speaking, I tend to have the one song for each of my characters; most times, it's the song I listen to on repeat while I'm creating them, so it's practically stuck in my head by the time I start posting for them~ I've never made a character playlist as such, but I probably have informal ones that float around. Though most of it's probably from my current pool of favourite songs xD

I do this too, I also have playlists for world building and creating. I think it is inspiring and sometimes through music just the right touch can be added through tone, emotion and other parts of the songs.


I also like to write stories off handedly and playlists for characters and such is a nice and easy way to keep the idea with me. For practice it is good to try and imagine a character OE more in simple situations and just he really everyday mundane tasks.


Music also helps me in my general life and bringing up new perspectives.
