Personality: Jake Park may come off as a loner, but that only seems to be towards those he doesn't know well. While he treated Meg, Dwight, and Claudette with suspicion at first, he slowly grew to trust them as they seemed bring a unique skill to the table and had been, for quite awhile, the only companions he'd had in the black fog, working together to survive. When Nea came along, he first treated her with skepticism, noting her personality seemed to lean towards working alone before noting that he had done the same when he first entered the fog. And much like himself, he figured she'd come around eventually. He viewed Laurie as similar to Claudette in their mannerisms, but noted key differences and, as much as he wanted to say otherwise, Ace's attitude seemed to view this more like a high-stakes poker game than a life-or-death situation. While he may come off as quiet and aloof, Jake is just as determined to leave the black fog as anyone else, but isn't willing to leave others behind because, as far as he can tell, he has the least to return to when he gets out.
