Name: Caroline Beth Allen / Glaive
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: "Well... you know... two..."
Race: Human
Appearance:
Glaive is 5' 3" tall.
History: Caroline has suffered from Aspergers Disorder for as long as she can remember; it's just what's normal for her. From age three, she always had trouble understanding other kids and grasping emotion. Her parents worried about her constantly around other children, and eventually took to sheltering her to prevent her from getting into altercations with other children, even going so far as to have her homeschooled. Unfortunately, this hardly helped her social skills, and she's been indoorsy ever since.
When her psychiatrist suggested the new VRMMO coming out as a social development aid, where Caroline could experiment with social situations with minimal consequences, Caroline was skeptical at first. However, she planned on going to college, but she knew she'd never make it if she couldn't stand to be around people, so she eventually decided to take to it and even prepare in advance.
Personality: Caroline has extreme difficulty in social situations, going so far as flat out refusing to talk to a person, even when addressed, unless she is either forced to respond or knows the person extremely well. Talking, crowds, noise (especially music), and basically anything else that can be associated with people and/or parties makes her extremely uncomfortable. Glaive will often avoid population centers, even at night, only visiting such places for materials for new gear or to pick up a few odd jobs. Even NPCs make her uncomfortable, despite their obvious artificial nature and robotic dialogue chains.
While she has next to nothing in terms of social skills, she thrives in mathematics, logic puzzles, and (of course) gaming, especially RPGs, which is convenient, considering the relevance they all have to one another. She greatly enjoys playing RPGsto crunch numbers and find the most efficient way from point A to point B because of the elaborate analysis that goes into the process of determining such a thing, enough so that even the presence of other people in this game doesn't dissuade her.
