Inquisitor Ordo Hereticus

NAME: Captain Alan Croesus

AGE: 26

WEIGHT: 175 lbs

HEIGHT: 5'6"

PERSONAL QUOTES:

  • "Make me an offer, and I'll think about it."
  • "Military grade weapons? This is a cargo ship, Officer!"
  • "You got it all wrong, I'm here to help. Yep, she sent me..." Not really.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Alan Croesus is a man of middling (short middling) height, brown hair and eyes, and a deceptively young face that looks more like that of a teenager of 16-18. Given his profession, Alan dresses in subdued colors and everyday, mass-consumer clothing - with a focus towards the more durable.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE: Alan generally is casual, snarky, and more than willing to talk his way around trouble if possible - or talk up beautiful women. Yet that belies the calm, cold willingness to engage in violence if he has to, or wants to - Alan considers himself to have standards above human trafficking, rapists, pirates and the like - particularly if he feels someone has seriously transgressed against him: see the case of Skalton.

RECORDED HISTORY: Captain Alan Croesus is a man of hazy origins, but for those in the know he is a perfectly legitimate ship captain in the business of transportation. Just very flexible about the goods he transports. Though he tries to stay under the radar, a spike of attention occurred after the noted con-man Skalton stole Croesus' ship and a shipment of 'crops' that may or may not have gone through official dues and fees and approval. Croesus chased Skalton down over several ports and planets and recovered his ship. Skalton disappeared, rumor said with gunshots involved. Not too long after, some contacts the Captain had paid back favors and got him an entry into the prestigious ship-event on Cydonia. More business opportunities and ship intel than you could lift with your arms along with turning up your nose.

DEFECTS

Nemesis: Agent Barrett Sogan, Confederate Marshals Customs Service [-1 point]

  • Agent Barrett Sogan is a full Deputy Marshal of the Customs Service bureau of the Confederate Marshals. He's also a very dedicated veteran and fully committed to the principles of law and justice. Which put a gink-fly (something like a bee in that it's a pollinating insect for Gallilean plants) up his rear when he encountered Captain Alan Croesus during a posting on Venus. That man was as obviously engaging in the wrong kind of trafficking, but Croesus proceeded to cover for his associates on planet - exculpating them of any wrongdoing, and had all the papers (fake to be sure) to shield him. Sogan vowed to nail Croesus, and wants to do it himself, rather than rely on questionable Bonded Marshals. Unfortunately, he's bound by his responsibilities and shifting duties, which limits his freedom to pursue.

Skeleton in the Closet: Smuggler [-4 points]

  • Captain Croesus is a career criminal after all, and though he has covered his tracks generally well, there have been close calls. He has committed killings, generally in self-defense, but there has been at least one murder (that of Skalton).
