♚. Appearance: Alexei is a fairly handsome young man with dark hair and equally dark yet warm eyes that draw people in should that meet his gaze. His features are often calm and placid and often, he is found staring out into the distance as if in a daydream. Though, there are those rare times when his face melts into a warm smile, his eyes brighten with glittering amusement or his usual silence breaks into a gentle, heart fluttering laugh.
Alexei is tall and rather thin for his age due to his bad health, but some physical training that he started a few years back has helped him shape up a bit more and keep himself fit. Though he rarely goes out, the prince is lightly tanned from those few days he spends basking in the warm light of the summer sun.
He is a poised man who often only wears full Avalonian royal attire as Alexei believes that no matter where he is or who he is with, he must uphold the image of Crown Prince and the pride and glory of their nation. Especially due to the instability in the Kingdom and the growing uncertainty of the people in the Rosenberg family, it will soon be Alexei's job to reinstate the population's trust and belief in their Rulers.

♚. Personality: If anyone were to meet Alexei for the first time, they would describe him as kind. He gives off the kind of warmth that is not radiant and strong like the sun, but comforting and gentle like the moon. Though often a rather quiet young man, he gets along well with others and is great at making fiends or having casually socializing with others. He would gratefully accept company prefers to be on his own or with one or two close companions instead of among the people. This is due to having grown up used to being independent to an extent, living his own life and not as bound by royal duties. At first, he lived life to the fullest, thinking he would die soon anyway, but as the years passed and he grew stronger and the notion faded away. Soon, he lived life because he could see a brighter future for him as long as he worked just a little harder.

Despite his freedom as a child, Alexei is a hardworking young man and his heart is with his family, his kingdom and his people, living and pushing through each day not for himself, but for Avalonia. He never let his weak body bring him down nor ever used it as an excuse to push responsibility over to his younger siblings. Though his weaknesses made it so that he had to work harder than most, they also made him stronger as a person as well as more compassionate towards those who suffered from disadvantages or endured much pain and sadness in their life. After all, his travels and his own faults had educated him well on the lives of the poor, the sick and homeless. He'd seen much of life, the good and the bad and such memories he gained on his journeys would forever be imprinted in his mind.

Alexei is a worry wart, and being crown prince with the weight of the country on his shoulders does nothing to ease the pressure. Though often he is cool and composed, there are times his mind seems to drift away to anxiously worry about situations or things that have to be done, the biggest worry on his mind being Avalonia and his mother Queen Anastazie. He is quick to doubt himself upon being given reason to and refrains from taking big risks for fear of failure and consequences, often taking time to weigh the pros and cons. Despite his hesitation in his own actions, he tends to give encouragement easily and has confidence in individuals who have proven themselves so.

♚. Quirks: When he is deep in thought, Alexei often furrows his brows and stares at a certain point while his forehead creases ever so slightly. When reading or idly occupied, he tends to chew on his bottom life and have a rather concentrated expression despite not meaning to.

♚. History: Alexei was the first born of King Johannes Konrad Eugen Rosenberg and Queen Anastazie and would soon be followed by Princess Renata Miroslava Iva Rosenberg and young Prince Petr Johannes Stepan Rosenberg.

As a child, Alexei had a very weak body and bad health which he inherited from his father. Often, the young boy would be bedridden for weeks on end due to a common flu or cold, which hindered his studies. He was often forbidden to train in the art of swordsmanship for fear of getting badly injured in practice. Unlearned and untrained in anything and constantly sick, Alexei caused much pain for his parents and the royal family worried for his future and that of Avalonia.

In the hopes of finding a way to help cure the young prince, royal physicians suggested that he travel south for the winter that brought along with it freezing temperatures, endless snow and biting cold. Many believed that a warmer climate would lessen the chances of illness and give Alexei time to recover. Thus, a letter was sent to the royal family of Valorem (previous Italy) in the hopes that they would let Alexei stay in Italy over winter. A reply came in the following weeks and brought great joy and sadness to the Royal Family. Their son would indeed be safer in Italy, but that meant not seeing him for over half of the year.

And thus began Alexei's annual trip south to Valorem. As the years passed, the warm weather greatly helped him recover and strengthen his body. His studies continued without a break and he was able to manage physical training which began when he hit 10 years old. Without the royal duties that he would've had in Avalonia, the Prince had much time to do whatever he wanted. Due to previously being bedridden often, Alexei took up reading and enjoyed the warm sun. He took advantage of being by the ocean and spent much of his time by the sea. He loved breathing in the salty air, feeling the soft sand on his toes, exploring great sail boats or making friends with lively sailors.

Alexei learnt much in those years where he spent free, though obviously closely watched by his poor, anxious bodyguards and his hand maiden Sophie. Walking and exploring the towns and villages had given him great insight into the lives of the people, both good and bad. He'd seen the great communities of friendly townspeople, the luxurious nobles of the upper class as well as the poor men and women in the slums who had nothing but the clothes on their bodies. He'd seen it all, and it made him all the more wiser.

A few years later, when he was 19, news reached Italy that King Johannes had passed from illness. The throne was to be handed down to Queen Anastazie to rule in place of Alexei as he was still not ready to be King. Nevertheless, he was called back to Avalonia and hadn't left since, putting all of his focus into his studies and training while closely watching his mother as she ruled.

Avalonia entered into an age of depression due to Queen Anastazie's ill management of the kingdom and her inexperience in ruling it. The people of their country were upset with the royal family and started losing faith in their Ruler, but any conflict was calmed by the hopes that Alexei would soon succeed the throne and return Avalonia to its previous glory.

♚. Why does your candidate want to be King of Kings?:

Alexei does not have an incredible and insatiable drive for the role of King of Kings, after all his main priority is Avalonia. Though, he is the only eligible Rosenberg currently and is simply respecting and upholding the 40 year tradition and selection process. If he were to become King of Kings, it would be good exposure for his country and he would learn much as a leader and grow as a person, further benefiting his home land if he were to return and rule as King Alexei.

As King of Kings, he would apply the wisdom and knowledge he'd gained as a child from his far travels in the hopes of giving hope to those with none. Working from small to big, he'd work to unite communities under their leaders. He'd find ways to give those at the bottom second chance at redemption, at picking up the pieces of their lives and living as a human being again.

Eventually he hopes to unite the multiple countries in the hopes of a prosperous future, but the chances of such being achieved in his life time are slim. At the most, he would hope to change the lives of the people.


♚. What do they think of the Selection process of choosing a King of Kings?: The selection process gives all a chance to the throne of the King of Kings, regardless of what country they are from. They are responsible for showing their potential as a leader and the best will be voted up by the citizens.

Though good a process, there is much potential for corruption or unfairness if not well managed. For example, many people, especially the uneducated, will merely vote for the person they most favor regardless of their potential as a true leader. The popular figures will gain an advantage over their contestants.

People of larger countries may also have an advantage as they are known best by their own citizens. A large population will most likely vote for their own ruler due to the knowledge and trust they would already have in him/her. Though the selection process is a year long and leaves much time for the contestants to show their colours to the people, not necessarily everything can be learned.

Though over all, the selection process is one of the best as of now.

Alexei is notably knowledgeable in terms of country affairs due to his travels. He has had a hand in politics and has also seen the many sides of a country, the good and the bad. He understands the inner makings of a country and, due to his relationships, learnt copious amounts from the various royal families he'd stayed with.
He is an upcoming swordsman but due to his health and late training, he is still far from being able to win a fight.
He has taken a liking to reading and the arts, with much influence from his mother, and has a talent for such. Many of his hobbies and talents learnt over the years he spent back and forth between Avalonia and Valorem have taught him much.
At the age of 11, he chose his own horse, a rich brown stallion by the name Basile ("brave and valiant") and has become an accomplished horseman.

♚. Likes: Values - Honor, integrity, unity and loyalty. Enjoys the arts and personal quiet time. Find peace in nature though is quite comfortable in most places. Has a soft spot for animals especially horses, dogs, cats and birds (though sometimes furry creatures give him allergies).​

♚. Dislikes: Winter - it's a love hate relationship - he loves winter, almost the most out of all the seasons funnily enough, but that's when his body is at its worst and he might catch his death just stepping out of shelter.

♚. Secret: When he was a child, Alexei had not wanted to be a Rosenberg Prince, hated the role in fact, because he was at his best ad found solace in the freedom of a simple and carefree life. His wishes died though once he'd seen the troubles of the simple people, and devoted his life to be a prince and king capable of granting his people their own freedom and life.

Alexei's birthstone, moonstone with his name and the royal insignia, are always on his person. It is set in a thing, white-gold ring but he never wears it. It is hung on a thin chain around his neck.
