Name: Cameron Thunderleigh

Ethnicity: Kelene - subvassal of the Leuwaardens, Fief Delat.

Path: Inquisitor

Personality:

Cameron Thunderleigh - second son of House Thunderleigh, now last remaining dependant to carry its dark, lightning-filled emblem. A giant of a man, but rather emaciated - most fights are won by knowledge and preparation, not by strength. That said, he has proven to not hold back if efforts are needed. When evil spreads, you have to burn it out at the root, or it will rise again once you turn away.

Cameron shows grim dedication to the churches causes, only ever smiling when he talks about Degra Veen, or those following the Earth Father - and he does that a lot. He can admire a good deed, and speak about it months after - but his eyes are always watching for signs of corruption, since when evil becomes visible to common people, it is already too late.

Hopes:

To enter the halls of Degra Veen - after guiding as many people as possible into the right way and shattering those trying to corrupt them.

Fears:

There is no fear for those guided by the Earth Father.

Regrets:

He studied too long - as useful as knowledge is, it doesn't matter if it never gets put to use. He missed the right moment to leave the dusty libraries behind, and good men were corrupted because of it.

Connections:

The church, House Leuwaarden, and those living around Thunderleigh Manor.

Familiarity - clerical bookworm

Cameron spent more than half of his life in the church, more precisely in its libraries. He knows the organisation and its books and history by heart.

Bonus on Mingling-Clergy, Subterfuge-Ciphers and Persuasion-Rhetoric when dealing with members of the church.

Knowledge - Knowledge of the Forbidden

It is a fine line between understanding your enemy and getting corrupted by its evilness. As an inquisitor, however, you have to know the signs you are looking for.

Bonus on Investigation, Lore and Academics when dealing with those creatures condemned by the church

Training - basic weapon training

Although not a fighter, Cameron received a basic training to stand his ground against those he is hunting - to recognize the occuring danger, to never fall back a single step, and to shatter the evil in the name of his God.

1st Rank:

A Sigillium Sanguis. The Sigillium is a small amulet composed of a wooden ring studded with eleven tiny gemstones, and suspended in the centre a glass cylinder with a needle protruding from the bottom.

By taking a sample of blood, the Sigillium will glow and indicate if the subject is a Magus or Demonically tainted.

2nd Rank:

Robe of Warding, +1 Dodge. Compatible with armour

Zakha Maleficarum: Lion Brass Gauntlet Blade, stats as per a standard Longsword with bonus damage to Demons.

Command 3

An Inquisitor has access to resources far beyond the bulk of Slayers. By order of the Inquisition, an Inquisitor can demand lodgings, a stipend, reinforcements, and the support of local authorities. Furthermore, an Inquisitor will always have a support staff of some kind - primarily trainee Inquisitors.

Each Rank in this Perk grants a stipend of 1 Silver per week. This may need to be collected, but can be demanded from any Church or Noble as long as a receipt is provided by which they can be reimbursed (though you are encouraged to thank the Nobles for their generous donation and make no reference to repayment). It entitles you to a tithe of five able bodied fighting men per Rank, but the equipment and quality of these men will vary by location. It entitles you to secure lodgings and grants you leave to detain any person suspected of heresy.

Your bodyguards are also covered by this Perk, and you get one bodyguard per Rank.

Assign each bodyguard a field: Lore, Larceny, Medicine, Craft, Ranging. These bodyguards can be commanded to assist the Inquisitor or a fellow Slayer, giving them a +2 die bonus on appropriate rolls. In the event the roll fails, the bodyguard will suffer the consequences rather than the player character.

Bodyguards can also be sacrificed to spare the Inquisitor a fatal blow. They can also be sacrificed to guarantee a success on one roll during an extended confrontation, heist, infiltration, kidnapping, or assassination. However, bodyguards who participate without dying receive 1 Skill Point. Sacrificing them too much will also lead to inquiries by the High Inquisitors

You get Rank 2 of artifacts - the Sigillium, the robe, and the gauntlet blade.

And Rank 3 of Command. Enjoy your hired goons.

Does the Sigillium still work for both magic and demons, or just for demons? Do I start with the three bodyguards at hand, or will they join me somewhere in the beginning?

Edit: Also, any restrictions on armor etc?

It works for both, but you'd be more inclined to use it for one than the other (it's not uncommon for demon hunters to pretend they don't know a companion is a Magus because that kind of firepower is very useful against the denizens of Hell).

You were assigned your three henchmen before you even left the holy city.  You can detail 'em if you like, or I can do it.
