• first stage of life

  Elina Fox was born on the 15th of December. Her family was very low class, only barely earning enough to pay for the necessities. She never lived a life of luxury and she could never afford too. Ever since she was a child, she was determined to excel in everything she did, to be smarter so she could climb up in the world. Her parents were never home, honestly they barely even cared about her. That was where she picked her love for cooking, since her parents were never home, she learned how to cook for herself, even with the little ingredients she had available to her. She learned first aid, how to do laundry, basically everything she needed to know to take care of herself and other people. She had picked this up fairly quickly, her intelligence was always remarkable to most people. Her teachers always regarded her as smart, usually being ahead of the class and answering tests and assignments with ease.

  second stage of life

  She had big dreams, to get into an Ivy League school and get a well-paying job. Sure her parents might be able to afford the tuition of an Ivy League school, but if she worked hard enough, she could get in on a scholarship. From then on, she decided to work 10 times harder, get her grades higher. She didn’t have the luxury of being able to pay her way into college, she’d have to rely on her smarts to get her through her life. It eventually took up most of her time, she would study on breaks and sometimes even late through the night, despite being an early riser. Yet she always looked calm, composed, and ready to help others. But overtime, it also became part of her routine, she came to like doing it, but that didn’t make it any less tiring.

  third stage of life

  She got in to all the schools she applied for, but she ended up going for Harvard and she got in on a scholarship as planned. Choosing her major as law, it didn't take anytime for her to rise through the ranks of her peers and ultimately graduate early. Although this took up most of her time, studying for mock trials, memorising cases like the back of her hand, and so much more, that she didn't maintain any social connections at all. She lost touch with her high school friends and didn't make any college ones, hell she had never been in a relationship before and even now. After graduating early and top of her class, she decided to go on an take a Masters degree in Harvard Law as well, and that's where she is today. That was until she heard about the death of one of her high school friends. She flew down to her hometown for the funeral, she knew about their will and testament, but she didn't want to miss any schoolwork, since it was the only thing that was stable to her. She made arrangements with the school director and they allowed her to take classes and answer assignments online.

Matteo is, in a lot of ways, seen as a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreary family. Outgoing and boisterous, he's always one to crack jokes and keep things bright. Of course, he wears his heart on his sleeve, which comes with a good amount of outbursts; But these are always shortlived, and for the most part he wears a bright smile and has a laid back attitude. He believes that the universe has his back, in one way or another, though he pretends to avoid all things metaphysical like the plague. He's sure, though, that things will work themselves out eventually. While he was raised to be logical, Matteo has always been more on the emotional side of things, and doesn't see the point of holding back one's feelings. With this comes the urge to make art; Matteo has always been drawn to all things musical, and particularly loves writing lyrics. It's his own form of poetry, though he will always feel the need to back it up with a guitar track.

Matteo was raised by his uncle, Biagio Bianchi, a somewhat well-known web designer and programmer. He and his cousins were expected to follow in his footsteps, but Matteo was never particularly interested in technology. While his uncle didn't exactly understand Matteo's artistic urges, he supported him to the best of his abilities. Matteo has been deadset on becoming a famous musician since he was young, and his dream has never wavered, though he knows how difficult it may be to make it.

In high school, Matteo was given the option to study abroad in America for a year, and he immediately agreed. He met the group in his senior year, and while he was a late addition, he found himself growing close enough that it felt he had known them for years. Of course, there was always a time limit on this friendship, but Matteo didn't bother to keep his distance and make their ties easy to sever. Needless to say, their separation at the end of the year was a painful one. Years later, when he heard about the death of his old friend, Matteo dropped everything to return to America and give them a good sendoff.

Appearance: The first thing people usually noticed about Nina was that she looked warm and kind. Everything about her is soft, from the roundness of her cheeks to her pale green doe eyes. She has bronze skin that’s dotted with freckles. Her hair is a bed of soft dark brown coils that reach her mid back and are dark brown in color. Nina has a soft jawline and a small button nose. She has plump lips, usually covered in some sort of gloss and her freckles cluster more around her cheeks and nose than the rest of her face and body. Nina stands at an impressive 5’2, and has a soft figure, her hips are wider than her torso and chest. Which gives her a bit of a pear shape, and she’s a little chubby. Overall, the perfect package for a hug.


Personality: Nina comes off as a sweet, curious girl who can be a bit dim. And while there is some truth to that kind and unknowing persona, it’s mostly a lie. Nina pretends to be a lot more naive than she actually is. She wants people to like her. She wants to be the kind of person who people seem to trust at a first glance. Reliable, kind, and genuine. She’s terrified that she wouldn’t be liked by others if she was herself.

For the most part, Nina is a genuinely kind person, acting the way she does so others feel comfortable and safe around her. She wants to make people happy. She thinks doing that might make her a happier person. On the other hand, Nina is a very insecure person, she knows it and she hides it as much as she can. She gets jealous of other people’s fortune and immediately hates herself for feeling that way. She’s manipulative and willing to use other people if she thinks that’s what’s best and she lies a lot. Most of her lies are her leaving out the truth, and playing dumb if she’s ever called out on it. She’s extremely self-critical, and saves none of the patience she has for others for herself. She thinks she’s a terrible person, who has given up on trying to feel good about herself. She’s decided that her self-worth should be entirely based on how useful and how happy she can make others. She’s a hypocrite who wants others to trust her, but never truly trusts anyone else.

Backstory: Nina had a pretty rough childhood. Things weren’t always horrible, she was born to a wealthy influential family. Who were “settling down” in a quiet little neighborhood. Her parents appeared to care about her to the public and even made somewhat of an effort in private. An autism diagnosis was all it took to change that. Her father completely neglected her unless she attempted to talk to him, which always ended in his screaming at her. And her mother was obsessed with teaching her to mask or “cure” her autism. Electroshock therapy, medications, you name it. She had two siblings, an older sister named Natasha, who hated her. And a twin brother named Markus Lee. Natasha was jealous of the attention Nina received from their mother, even though it was negative attention, it was more than what Natasha got. Markus Lee was the only person who was kind to his sister.

As Nina got older, she started to grow an obsession for beauty. It was hard not to when your own mother would tell you that the only thing you had to offer the world was a pretty face. And Nina wanted to keep her face pretty, that way she still had worth. She knew her friends would become worried about this new interest of hers if they knew about it, so she kept it subtle. Nina cared a great deal for all her friends, worrying them was the last thing she’d ever want to do.

Nina graduated from High School with relatively above average grades and a newly acquired fear. Things were changing. She was changing, and the people around her were changing. She was free to move out of her old home, as a matter of fact, her parents were kicking her out. She had a month to get herself together and get out of their house. It only took Nina a week. She had collected a lot of evidence of the abuse her parents put her through over the years into a nice little compilation and showed it to them. She convinced them that this was more than enough evidence to get them a 12-14 year prison sentence and ruin their entire reputation, tarnishing the business that made them so rich in the first place. She basically told them “Consistently send me enough money to live on my own, and the court won’t ever see this.” And they agreed.

And then Nina went on her merry way and moved out, most of her friends were leaving the town they lived in. So she did the same and moved to a pretty far out city. About a 14 hour drive. And that’s where she is now, she picked up a casual job at a greenhouse and has not gone to therapy! Her mental health is still declining, probably thanks to the fact that she attracts toxic men like a magnet.
