SETTING​

Axeryn City.
Only on the brink of chaos mere years ago this big city has made a massive comeback. Businesses are booming yet again and recovery from the disaster has been in full forward motion.
A massive crater lies near the center of the city. Serving as both a grim reminder of a disastrous day and the growth it has been experiencing since. The New Town Hall lies near it's edge. Overlooking the efforts to rebuild and all of the city around with it's watch towers littered along the sides of the crater. Not so much to monitor what still lies within but keep the general populace out. For various reasons of course. All for their safety and to bring order to this fine city. Setting an example for the world!

Social rank

In this city rank in society and job positions depends highly on money and cybernetics.
The more or higher tech cybernetics you have the more wealthy you are assumed to be and more likely to be treated far better by high ranking public officials and the more opportunities there are available.
The simple way to put this ranks are:

Unaltered: people with absolutely no cybernetics and either not enough money or no desire to change.
Unproven: the middle class of Axerin City, neither subjugated nor showered in Axerin's love, they are known called the Unproven for they have not yet shown Axerin their devotion by replacing parts of their minds with cybernetics. Still, even people who have done so may choose to stay at this social level.
Uncouth: Very low end cybernetics or seeking to purchase them. Most of the general public of late falls into this category. They are often looked down upon by the higher society. But greatly sought after by the government. All seeking cybernetics and to improve upon themselves are a great commodity.
Unfazed: High society people. They almost always have extremely high tech or many enhancements and lots of money. they also tend to serve in very high positions in town and have a great influence on political decisions there.



The mayor is the representative of the city. Often making appearances and announcing new laws, acts and such things. They only have a say in decision making though.
All decisions are made by a council. They meet often to discuss matters of all sorts, particularly what to do with the general population, for their best interest of course. Must keep the people safe and happy.
However, all decisions can be overruled by one major figurehead who watches over all happenings in the city and often has the final say in all.
