WHITE PRINCESS

It was the perfect getaway. The entire scheme was planned out from head to toe, detail to detail. The whole procedure had to be thought up to perfection—any flaw could deter the White Princess from her goal. For nineteen years, Allana Marmoeal had been locked up in her castle. For nineteen years, she tirelessly dreamed of stepping foot out of the suffocating prison that she called a home. The White Queen and King had been fearful of the dangers that the world held. Paranoid that those dangers were solely after their daughter. They hadn't allowed Allana to go past the garden, and everyone in the the kingdom was informed of Allana's restrictions. Though apart from that, Allana's parents gave her everything she wanted. Of course, what she wanted most was not given to her, and so the girl sought it out for herself.

With her bag hanging over her shoulders, Allana slowly stepped out of her room. She put her palm out flat on the doorknob, using her special ability to manifest ice onto it and making it hard for the door to open. In less than five seconds, the knob changed from rusty gold to a glossy white covered in frost and mini icicles. Allana figured that it'd delay the maids and her parents from barging into her room just to realize that she wasn't there.

With a smirk, Allana made her way down the hall and tiptoed quickly down the marbled staircase. It was Thursday, which meant that the servants were usually gardening out in the main garden. There was no way that she'd be able to sneak past them and the front guards. Everyone knew of her restrictions and lying would be a waste of time. But Allana was not determined to give up. Fortunately for her, there were two gardens. The one in the front, and the one the maidens used to cook. Behind that garden was another gate separating her and her only access to freedom.

She crept towards the hallway leading to the kitchen. She could hear voices conversing from the inside. The cooks. After all, what did she expect? I'll wait them out. Hopefully they'll come out, the Princess thought. And so she did. Allana crouched behind her mother's statue—very careful not to move or make a noise. A few minutes passed by which felt like hours, and the more time went on, the more the cooks talked. Allana grew impatient. Screw it. It's not the only statue she has. With one swift move, Allana pushed the statue out in front of her, running behind the flowerpot nearest to the kitchen door. As If it was a cue, the three cooks in the kitchen ran out to the sound of the falling statue. Confused and bewildered, they questioned the broken statue with one another, their backs turned to the kitchen door. Allana saw that it was her signal to go and so she did.

The Princess cheered once she reached the other side of the door. She cursed herself silently, remembering that she had something to do and celebrating would have to come after she safely escaped. The door to the back garden was hard to miss. Plus, Allana had been inside of the kitchen millions of times, more often the past few months when she had been planning out her escape. She pushed the door leading outdoors. A whole new world of mystery and in that moment, all of it was hers to explore.

- location: dark woods; status: entering wonderland; with: echo ( tsuneni tsuneni )
What minutes that passed seemed like hours to Macin, the long, stretching, anxious ones. Without knowing it, his grip on Echo tightened, but it loosened almost as soon as it grew stronger. He didn't want to hurt Echo, especially since he knew the voices must be attacking her right now. They were both scared, he knew it, but he didn't need to admit it. The forest were only part of his fear. There was no aperture between the overbearing trees that loomed ahead of them for light to pass through. They were walking through, blind and unsure of where they were. The other part of his fear was that he would lose Echo. If he lost her, he'd be alone in this dark forest. Coughing loudly, he broke the silence.

"Sorry." After a moment's thought, he took her hand in his. (Not that he was scared, he just needed to assure himself that it was really her.) "You need the comfort," he told her. He could feel the softness of her skin, the callouses and cracks of her palm. Being this close made him uncomfortable, and on instinct, he let go of her hand. What had he been thinking?

Macin could feel how near the exit of the forest was, but no matter how far they walked, they never reached the exit. In fact, Macin felt as though he had seen that stump before. But there were dark stumps littered everywhere in this forest, and he couldn't tell the difference between any of them. They could be walking in circles for all Macin knew.

"We're in this together?" he stated, but even as he said it, it turned into a question.

location: the outskirts of the dark forest;; mentions: renata

everything was in circles for him. for long hours, he felt as if he was walking in circles through the dark forest that marked the entrance of wonderland. as his feet pitter-pattered in circles, his mind whirled in a similar formation, tossing between two thoughts: his cruel father, and his delicate sister.

renata was primarily the only reason why he disobeyed his father, and barreled down the hole that had become a wonder of the world as of now. everyone wanted to go in wonderland and "explore" it's treasures. at some point, people had to pay just to even get within five feet of the hole.

no.
"yes." the answer came small, and almost weak. she felt powerless, having to fight against the voices. she could never be at peace, unless she was satisfying them. them, her inner demons. the ones that made her life a living hell.

echo's feet ached, and her toes curled in the pair of shoes that were two sizes small, but they were all she could afford. she hadn't eaten since earlier that morning (was it morning? she couldn't tell. the treetops seemed nonexistent in the forest, and they concealed the sunlight. or stars. whatever time it was) and her stomach was rallying up a storm, though she dare not show any sign of discomfort.

this was how it was with macin. she was afraid to drive him away, so she had to conceal herself, and make it seem like she was strong, when really, the voices made her feel like she was two years old again, screaming for her mother that didn't show up until late at night, with the smallest of paychecks.

echo had become a master in reaching for macin's hand in the short time they knew each other, so when she grabbed his hand again after he let go, she didn't glance at him, keeping her focus on the trails and trees ahead. "i won't leave you," she adds quietly, knowing that even with the one-worded answer from before, he needed the reassurance.

Anneliese Tallulah Mosley
"Twinkle, twinkle, little bat! How I wonder what you're at! Up above the world you fly, Like a tea tray in the sky"
location: anywhere, everywhere
scenario: "dreams are better than reality"
mood: sleepy
mentions: [estelle] @kairos ali , [albie] @lorde , [aleks] @A U R U M

'lay down your head and i'll sing you a lullaby. back to the years of loo-li, loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay. and i'll sing you to sleep. and i'll sing you tomorrow.'

slowly. . . slowly. . . but surely, her eyes closed as her eyelashes fluttered for one last time before she drifted off into her dreamworld. a soft yet incoherent sound could be heard as she slept. her chest slowly heaved up and down while she inhaled and exhaled, the only sign that would allow others to know if she was dead or alive. currently, she had found shade from the bright, warm sun, using the leaves and the trees as her own shelter from the beaming light. nevertheless, the young girl found herself feeling care-free and quite frankly a little bored as nothing new ever happened in wonderland. however, she always enjoyed the company of those she have grown accustomed to, especially her most precious friends: estelle and aleks.

tilly had awoken from her slumber this morning at the crack of dawn, perhaps even earlier than estelle and albie. she really didn't know why she had suddenly jolted awake when she was merely peacefully sleeping. tilly didn't want to wake up the sleeping girls, so she had gone off on her own journey, looking for a place to rest and catch up on her sleep. though, it wasn't like she needed to go to sleep again. she just loved sleeping. afterall, her dreams were much better than her reality. if she had to choose whether to stay awake forever or to sleep forever, she would most likely choose to sleep forever.

as tilly slept, a song repeated over and over again in her subconscious. the voice came from a woman with a haunting yet beautiful tone. she honestly couldn't remember where she had heard the lullaby from, but she was too tired or rather, fast asleep to think of where the voice was coming from. tilly felt as if she had heard the voice before, yet the voice was a voice she hadn't heard in wonderland. but, tilly didn't dwell on the matter unconsciously and just found herself dreaming of a life away from wonderland. a far, far off place. but, maybe, one day, when she awakes, there would be something that she looked forward to or even better yet, she would be found
