Pyro sighed as he walked around the forest. "I wonder how that bird suddenly dropped from the sky." he said to himself. It was funny how the tiny avian had suddenly fallen from the sky. As he walked however, he was not smelling for other wolves and he crossed a border unaware.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A heavily pregnant Wolf padded out of the nursery, and into the alpha's den. All she said was "It's time."

Enki Griffin

Deep within the forest that Bloodmoon Summit claimed as their territory, it being the northern half above the city of York, a small adolescent werewolf patrolled the territory. Sticks crunched underfoot as dark brown fur that hung on a small frame ruffled in the morning breeze as the patrolled the territory. Turning back towards the pack house, the adolescent made his way back to...well he wouldn't call it home...more like safe haven. Yes safe haven was the perfect word for this house of misfit and rejected werewolves who had been bitten and been thrown out of their human families' homes. Nothing had occurred all night while he had been on watch. He was probably the youngest member in the pack that he knew of but then the adolescent male didn't make a point of getting to know his pack mates. The only werewolf he had respected was the elder who had taken care of him and nursed him back to health after being savagely mauled and left to die as a child when he had been eight years old.

The wind ruffled the dark brown fur that clung to the skinny werewolf. Three years of malnutrition and it was taking him a lot of time to fill up. He weighed only eighty pounds in his human form although about his weight in wolf form he wasn't sure as he had never weighed himself. Enki could still taste the hot blood and hear the human's screams who had killed the elder he'd seen as a grandfather and captured the young wolf when he had broken free of his chains and slaughtered the human. That had been his first human kill and to be honest he didn't regret it one bit. His fur bristled as he thought of the humans, not liking them one bit. He had never met the werewolf who had attacked him all those years ago. The attack had been too quick and sudden that it had taken the child by surprise. He shook his head, an unknown emotion flickering in his almond-shaped cobalt gray orbs.

Pausing on a hill, the wind wafted towards him as he looked around, bringing with it the scent of a loner within the area. Frowning, the wolf made his way towards the border to see who had decided to cross into the territory as he picked up his pace to cover more ground.

Pyro noted somewolf heading his way and he cracked his neck. "He seems small so he shouldn't bother me too much." Pyro grinned, his red highlighted hair shaking as his head went from side to side. @eclipsehowls

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Dakota." The woman said. "I'm not gonna-" She winced as a contraction hit her. "I won't make it to the hospital!" She growled in pain.

@eclipsehowls

Enki Griffin

Enki slowed his pace as the scent of the wolf got stronger and tilted his head. Emerging from the foliage he spotted an older teen. He'd never seen a teen with black and orange, or maybe it was red, hair before. "Who are you and why are you here?" he growled at the larger wolf, baring his fangs at the larger and possibly older wolf in front of him.

Dakota Knight

Dakota paused on the stair he was on as the woman spoke when she said she wasn't going to end up making it to the hospital. Slipping his keys into his pocket, one to the cabin mansion, one to the other mansion, one to his car and one to his restaurant he owned; he growled under his breath. "Alright I fucked up." Well there was nothing for it so he made his way back to his room and shouted for Rook to come upstairs. "We'll just deliver you here," he said. The raven-haired subordinate liked healing and he knew she would be more useful for this than himself.

Rook Hemlock

Hearing the alpha's shout, Rook set her bowl of cereal down and ran up the three flights of stairs towards the alpha's room where she'd heard Dakota. The door was open and she walked in to see the alpha. Dipping her head respectfully to him she waited to see what he wanted. "Help her," Dakota said as he gestured towards the pregnant woman. "She's in labor and can't make it to the hospital."

"Yes sir," said Rook as she went into the bathroom to wash her hands. Coming back out with a few towels to help with the baby, she watched as Dakota left the room to keep the pack from coming into his room. Rolling up her sleeves, she set a towel down in front of the female and put a cool washcloth on her forehead. Checking she could see the baby's head. "Okay push," she said to the woman. @GoldenChari

Pyro yawned. "I heard you take in others am i wrong?" Pyro lied.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Woman screamed as she tried to push. Walking up the stairs had drained her of any energy she had. Even if rook saw the baby's head, it took hours longer for her to finally push the child out, blood following the extremely tiny baby out. It had a pitiful whine. It was barley audible and the child's Mother Was beaten. Her breathing started to become shallow and her eyelids drooped. "Thank you..." The lady said. "Please keep my child safe..." She drawled.

(You can say she's dead in Rook's P.O.V. @eclipsehowls. And Pyro is in human form atm xD )

Out trying to fulfill her job as hunter, Deryn was on the trail of a young buck. She needed to get it for the pregnant woman back home who needed the extra nutrition, and the extra food, and Deryn had failed to be any real help as of late. She had been on a hunting block; unable to catch anything at all for the past week. It was frustrating, and it was irritating, and it had her emotions on edge. But she wasn't going to give up; especially not when she actually had a trail for her prey.

Claws digging into the Earth and propelling her forward, Deryn allowed her instincts to rule her reactions. She would be successful today; she could feel it deep in her bones. But she needed to be quick it had been apparent that the mother was going to birth anytime in the next few weeks. She had to get her the fresh nutrition before then, before the baby came.

Excitement flooded her as she spotted the buck, and the chase began. Dirt sprayed from the feet of the predator and the prey as they tore through the forest. This is where hunting as a pack would be nice, especially when Deryn didn't have the mind to sneak up on it... but she also had learned this forest well and began leading the deer toward a trap. Apparently the deer knew the forest as well, though, and tried to escape where Deryn was trying to lead him. When they hit the cliff wall the Deer didn't slow, knowing if it stopped now it's life would end... and it made a leap towards the rock, seeking footholds in the old stone. It's attempt was in vain, though, and it fell back to the Earth a few feet from Deryn. Victory was sweet in her mouth, as was the warm blood as she finished the deer's life and began to drag it back towards home. Back towards the awaiting mother and her adopted family.

(No interaction but here, here's my post xD @GoldenChari @eclipsehowls )

Enki Griffin

(Okay). Enki nodded. "Bitten or born. A werewolf is a werewolf," he said. "Are you looking to join a pack? If so then you've come to Bloodmoon Summit. But the alpha doesn't tolerate us acting like humans." He kept his eyes on the other, watching his movements, his ears twitching as he listened to the sounds of the forest.

Rook Hemlock

Despite the Subordinate's best efforts to deliver the child, hours passed before the child was delivered. The cub was tiny and the mother just had time to tell her to keep the child safe before the woman passed away. Running her bloody hands through her hair in frustration, Rook wrapped the infant up in a warm towel and left the alpha's room. She saw Dakota standing by the doorway as she walked out into the hallway. "She's gone alpha. She survived long enough to give birth but walking up three flights of stairs apparently did her in," she said. "I don't know whether the child will survive. He's tiny." She held the child out to the alpha.

Dakota looked down at the infant, the infant's face barely visible due to the towel wrapped around it. "It's a runt. Perhaps it will live and perhaps it will die but either way we'll try to give it a good life no matter the outcome. Is the mother still inside?"

Rook nodded. "Tell the omegas to bind up the mother and bury her outside of the territory. Go make a bottle or see if one of the mothers can offer up breastmilk for the infant."

"Alright," said Rook and walked downstairs. Dakota sighed and walked further down the hallway, rubbing at his temples tiredly. @GoldenChari

Pyro sighed. "I act like them? They look at me like a punk cause of my hair. It's not my god damn fault it's got red in it." Pyro huffed. "bloodmoon summit? Lead the way kid." @eclipsehowls

Deryn yipped excitedly, feeling that she had every right to boast of her capture as she made it back to base. Blood still as fresh as can be without a wolf being there to tear into it right after the creature was killed. She left it outside of the den and bounded inside, seeking out her friend excitedly. She hadn't meant to let her down so many times in the past week... but she had made up for it now! She had the buck and as she made her way inside, she immediately sought out the place the mother had last been resting. But... no one was there. There was an awful hustling bustle going around as omegas ran this way and that. Concern flooded Deryn and she pushed away her fear as she began to roam in search of the mother, ears pricked as she moved. Finding Rook, she bounded up and changed mid leap.

"Have you seen her?"
Deryn had barely left the woman's side, except to hunt, and it was just general knowledge who she was talking about. "I brought back food for her, to help! Finally caught a strong buck, so that both she and her pup will be strong." In her excitement, a childlike glee had entered her voice and her eyes as she all but frolicked around the subordinate.

Enki Griffin

The twelve-year-old narrowed his cobalt gray eyes in displeasure before turning and making his way back to the cabin mansion. "We have ranks here. Three beta spots open, Medics, Hunters, Guards, Warriors, Subordinates and Omegas. You're obviously too old for Cub rank." He didn't pay attention to the male's response former response about people thinking he was a punk because of his hair. Trotting along at a quick pace over the ground, he stayed in view of the loner as he led the way home. "We have two homes here though the second one is only used if there's an emergency and it's only where the weak wolves go too," he said. @GoldenChari

Rook Hemlock

Rook was making a bottle, one of the other Subordinates had found some preemie clothing and diapers for the tiny male cub. He was in the nursery at the moment with a few other cubs and some Subordinates watching over them. As one of the hunters, Deryn, bounded up to her and transformed, asking where the mother was. Rook sighed and shook her head. "The labor took hours. She survived long enough to deliver the baby before passing on," Rook said. "I think climbing up three flights of stairs to the alpha's room did her in." Checking the bottle on her arm, she began walking towards the nursery. "She had a boy but he's really tiny. The alpha and I are not sure if he'll make it or not." @RubyRose

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_01/tumblr_mpshnvSjEM1sa9fk3o1_1280.jpg.4b8cf427311e0e4083475e823e681a49.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="102385" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_01/tumblr_mpshnvSjEM1sa9fk3o1_1280.jpg.4b8cf427311e0e4083475e823e681a49.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Deryn froze, horror lancing through her and showing clearly on her face before she was able to reign her emotions back in. Dead and gone, just like that. She knew she had been out hunting for awhile but she had been determined to bring something back. She... she couldn't understand. How had this happened? Why? She pushed away the troublesome emotions and focused on the here and the now. Letting her emotions rule her would help with nothing... it wouldn't bring the mother back, for one. She followed after Rook, expression impassive while inside she fought emotional turmoil. Just because she felt like she was in charge of them didn't mean she actually was.

"Why would she be dumb enough to climb three flights of stairs?"
She asked no one in particular, merely voicing her thoughts as she followed after Rook. She released a huff through her nose at the sight of the cub. It was just as ugly as any other baby she had seen, though exceptionally tiny. Then again, from what Deryn understood he was premature... he hadn't been meant to come into the world yet. "Did she give the child a name?" Deryn asked as she watched Rook, her tone flat as she kept herself calm. She didn't care. They lost wolves here and there all the time. This was like any other death... though it really wasn't. Deryn had begun to form a bond with the mother... and now the bond had been broken and Deryn was just left feeling empty. Like when her mother had passed away... emotions flooding her and then slowly draining away until she felt like she was nothing more than a shell.

Pyro suddenly smelt other wolves ahead and paid no attention to the child who he ran past. "C ya!" he said as he vaulted over some brambles and dissapeared into the camp.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pine squeaked out as some of the other pups prodded him with a paw, knocking him all around. He was hungry and he couldn't smell his mother so he tried to crawl around in search of her while the others flipped him over and pushed him backwards.

Rook Hemlock

Rook shrugged as she walked into the nursery with the bottle. "I don't know why she did so," said Rook sadly. "No there was no name given to the pup. She just said to keep the child safe." Walking over to the crib where she had set the cub along with some others, snarling at the other pups as they pawed at the tiny one, she watched him trying to move around before picking him up and carrying over to a rocker with the bottle in her hand. Sitting down, she held the child carefully against her before beginning to feed him the bottle of formula. "The food you caught though can be left outside and some of the other subordinates will take it to the deep freezer for the deer," she said. @RubyRose @GoldenChari

Enki watched the wolf go in confusion before heading into the cabin mansion, shifting into his human form as he went. Once the transformation was complete he walked into the cabin and went looking for Dakota to inform him of the loner who wished to join the pack.

Pyro Looked around and gave a 'not bad' look. "Now what i like is organization." He told himself.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pine drank the most he could which was not much at all. Soon, after he wriggled around a bit, he fell asleep, making almost inaudible adorable snoring sounds.

@eclipsehowls @RubyRose

Enki Griffin

Enki saw the hustle and bustle of the omegas as they ran throughout the cabin and frowned. He followed an omega upstairs where an omega was in the alpha's room, taking out the sheets and towels that smelled of rich metallic iron. "What happened?"

"One of the pregnant women died," said an omega before walking into the alpha's room.

Shaking his head, Enki made his way along the hallway, following the alpha's scent. "Alpha," he said when he spotted Dakota staring out one of the windows on the third floor.

Dakota turned towards the scout. "What is it Enki?"

"There's a loner here who wants to join the pack. But he ran off as soon as he scented other wolves."

Dakota brushed past the pre-teen without a word as he went downstairs to see what the loner wanted.

Rook Hemlock

When the cub was done with the formula, Rook frowned. "We may need to shove a tube down his throat to get him to eat," she said mostly to herself. She put the bottle down and holding the kid stared down at it. "How about we name you Pine? You smell of pine needles thanks to the alpha having the window open in his room."

Dakota Knight

Dakota ran down the three flights of stairs and outside before tracking the smell of the loner. "One of my scouts says you wish to join Bloodmoon Summit," Dakota said as he found Pyro. "Don't have a pack of your own then?" He leaned against a tree. It was usually that way if a bitten wolf came here. They were either a hunter turned werewolf, or an innocent bitten by a rogue or family member. @GoldenChari

Pyro looked at the guy. "Not really sir. No one wants me because they think i'm straight up human because i won't turn into a wolf." Pyro says. "I would love to join you if i could though."

When pine was given his name, he smiled, looking super adorable. Too bad he didn't know his father was a human and how many others hated humans at his birthplace.

Dakota Knight

Dakota studied the teen. "Well you'll transform unwilling or not on the full moon," he said. "I'm Dakota Knight and your new alpha. The kid you met is Enki Griffin, a Scout. Then we have Rook Hemlock who is a Subordinate, Deryn Alluta who is a Hunter, Avalynn Collins who is my mate, and Anat Darkbrook who is a Warrior. Plus others," he said, almost offhandedly. "We don't like humans or werewolves who try to be humans. Any human you see on the territory is to be driven off. Try not to kill them or bring the hunters on us. Never reveal that you are a werewolf to the humans and you'll fit in fine here if you can follow those rules."

Rook Hemlock

Rook grinned at the kid and set him in a separate crib since the older infant cubs seemed to think he was a toy. She took the bottle back to the fridge and put it on the top shelf in the door before closing it, grabbed an apple and made her way back to the nursery to watch the kids. @GoldenChari

Anat walked through the doors and looked around at the chaos that was going on. She sniffed the air and smelled a mixture of blood and amniotic fluid. "Thought she wasn't due for another week?" She commented to herself, one of the many Omegas hearing her. "Nah, she went into labor about an hour before you got here, died after birth. Not worth it in my opinion, the kids a runt." One of the omegas- Amara, said in a low voice. Anat nodded in understanding. "Well anything else anyone wanna surprise me with before I crash?"

Amara spoke up immediately. "We have a new guy, he has fire colored hair. The rest of the Omegas have been talking about him because he mainly stays in human form. Some of us think he's trouble."

Anat liked her, she had all the answers in an appropriate time span. Nodding, she raised her eyebrow. "I mainly stay in human form, whats the big deal? Other than the Alf hating humans of course."

"No one says anything to you because you're crazy."

Anat had to hand it to her. The girl had guts.

"Im not crazy, im chaotic neutral."

Pine awoke and he whined out trying to call to his mother or someone as he felt boxed in and very alone. It didn't help that he was already hungry again.

@TheRebelAngel @eclipsehowls

Avalynn

The pastel purple haired girl watched as her mate ran out of the door, followed by others, including a very pregnant female. As soon as Ava saw the woman's pale, sunken in face, she knew the mother would not survive this ordeal. She should've followed, but decided to listen to Dakotas orders and stay put. There wasn't much to do,since half the pack was with the dying she wolf. Eventually,Ava found herself outside, walking slowly as her feet softly kicked up dirt. She continued on her way until she came across patches of flowers. Reaching down, she picked up one and resumed walking, all while plucking the defenseless petals off of the flower. Soon,a sad feeling washed over the alpha female. At that exact moment, she knew the pregnant woman had passed away. As soon as the bad feeling came,a good one came. One which brought new life. She dropped the flower and took off running towards the others. Time to meet the new pup.

Anat finished receiving the rest of the news when she heard a distant low whine. Curious, she got up and followed the noise, leading to the Nursery where she saw a very small pup, laying down with a slightly distressed facial expression. "I dont know if it'd be rude to laugh at your face but that expression is gold." She mumbled to herself/Pine? While laughing. She picked the pup up and looked at him. "You must be our newborn killer ive heard about. I dont know why im talking to you, you cant respond and you must be hungry. I know there must be some type of nursing bottle around here or something." She murmured, holding him and looking around the room, finally eyeing a drawer that smelled of milk. "Refrigerated drawers? Wow, technology is getting out of hand." She said chuckling and grabbing a bottle, sitting in a rocking chair.

"Alright alright im hurrying." She mumbled when Pine began to wave his hands around aggressively. Fitting the top of the bottle into his mouth she watched to see if he would be able to drink it. "Ya know. You are one expressive pup." She said, watching him do a little happy dance when he tasted the milk.

Marian would start her day at the organization in just a few weeks since she took a leave of absences to take care of her grandfather who fell terribly ill. Marian knew what was destined to happen with him but she didn't think about too much since it brought tears to her eyes every time. Marian heard about Dr. Perry Auburn getting ill and even though she knew he had a strong dislike for her she went to the hospital later that day when she was doing errands for her grandmother to make a soup later on. Marian knew of him when they were back in college together and she had a friend who worked as a nurse there and was telling her about it. Marian walked in through the front doors of the hospital and she looked for Alice who was her long time friend that worked there as a nurse.

"Hey Alice, I came to see Perry. Is he around?" Marian said as she finally found her behind the front desk giving a girl information on some medications. She had bought him a few goodies from the store and had put it in a gift bag. Marian didn't know why she was doing this for the man who disliked her but she just knew it felt right to give him a little something.

Alice raised an eyebrow and looked up at Marian when she had finished talking to the girl, "Uh..hi to you too, and yeah he is upstairs I think in his office but I'm not sure." She said as she let out a chuckle. "Why are you doing this for the guy who was envious of you?" Alice asked as she shook her head a bit.

"I think, it's the nice thing to do. I did it for you when you were sick Alice,"

"Yes I know but I think it's something else that has to do with the word 'love' Marian," Alice whispered to her and before Alice looked up at her she was half way into the elevator, "Uh don't say something like that Alice, it's not true" She exclaimed and blushed and the elevator closed as she pressed the second button to the second floor. @RubyRose

Rook Hemlock

Rook sighed as she heard the baby, Pine, begin crying again but Anat came into the nursery and began taking care of the cub. She nodded in thanks to the other female and went to check on the other cubs who had been in the crib with Pine before she had moved him for his own safety, attempting to mentally tell herself not to get attached to the kid. The preemies often didn't last, yet since it was the Subordinates who helped watch them if their parents died or their parents were in the hospital, she couldn't help getting attached. Scenting the alpha's mate coming, she walked to the door, with a two-week old cub in her arms. "Avalynn," she said. "Are you here to see the new pack member?" she asked. @Taylor152

Avalynn

She grinned, seeing Rook with one of the pups in her arms. "That's exactly why I'm here...I'm excited to see the new pup." She said to her. Avalynn stepped inside and made her, looking at Rook. "Boy or girl?" She asked, her hands falling in front of her, nervously playing with her fingers. For some reason, she would always get nervous around newborn pups. Perhaps it was because they were so small and breakable,or maybe just because the thought of something being in such a helpless state, could eventually grow up to be someone powerful, like Dakota.
