Ranks of Black Skulls:

Alphas- (1 minimum, 2 max)
The leaders of the pack, they are first in command and their word is final. They are the most dominate wolves in the pack and reproduce only with each other, sometimes, but always, a mated pair. They take an interest in what goes on in their pack and if they have been away for any length of time look to the Beta to learn of what goes on in the pack. Alphas cannot challenged except in the case of a bad alpha for Black Skulls. This rank can be heredity via the alpha either having a pup and choosing it to become the next leader, or if they have no heir then they can choose an adopted pup to inherit. If they don't have either a heir or an adopted child, then the beta can become the next alpha when the alpha dies or retires.

Betas- (1 minimum, 2 max)
This rank must be earned.
Betas step in if the alphas cannot do their work or die. They are the bodyguards and advisers to the alphas and in charge of the warriors. They work to maintain peace and order in the pack as well as have solid say in important matters. Considered enforcers of the pack laws and will not hesitate to put others in their place. Backup the alphas in superior conflict.

Deltas- (minimum 1, max 7)
This rank must be earned.
They are the messengers of the pack, the go between among the allies and sometimes even the axis. They risk their own lives by doing so, but it is their duty and must make sure that those who need to know are told. Those who seek this position must be agile, patient and have an even temperament while speaking with other packs. They back up the superiors in times of conflict. They work to maintain peace and order in the pack as well as have solid say in important matters. The Deltas may go with the alpha or betas to negotiate treaties with other packs. They handle a lot of the smaller issues and serve as backup for the superiors in times of conflict. Delta are responsible for keeping the lower ranks in order. They are the lead hunters in the pack. They lead the packs hunts when the Alpha or the Beta when substituting tell them to as well as overseeing the warriors. They make sure that the entire pack is well fed and will not starve. They oversee as well, that the pack will have a well-balanced diet. They excel in combat and often do assassinations that the alpha asks.

Gammas- (minimum 1, max 5)
This rank must be earned.
They are the peacekeepers of the pack, using mediation between those who are angry with one another. The Alpha may take them with them to speak with another pack over starting a treaty. They make sure that no serious fights break out within their own pack. They may at times also work with the Delta. The Gammas are the voice of the pack and in charge of the main body of the pack. They are the friendliest of the higher rank wolves and have training in every rank and will help out within the lower ranks as needed, considered the 'subordinates' of the higher ranks, backup superiors in times of conflict, pass stories down to the rest of the pack and are valued advisers of the alphas. The gammas give orders to Upsilon and issue orders on where to patrol. Their job is to ward off intruders and are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the pack. Though they should only resort to violence should peaceful persuasion fail.

Shaman- (5 maximum)
This rank must be earned.
These are the most skilled wolves in healing. They give orders to the Iota. They oversee the history of the pack, ceremonies and funerals, messengers and have the most healing knowledge. They are the medics of the pack, knowledgeable in herbology. They have vast knowledge upon what plants and other natural resources will help cure and heal others. These members oversee caring for the sick and injured of the pack as well as raising orphaned pups and caring for the mothers in the nursery. These wolves have a special understanding and knowledge of herbs and plants. They also help keep peace in the pack, helping with the deduction of fights among its members. They delight in telling stories to pups though sometimes what they tell is just legend, but still each story usually has some sort of moral to it and they are in charge of raising the orphans.

Shaman Apprentice- (5 maximum)
These members must be chosen by a Shaman.
Each Shaman takes an apprentice that they choose upon their ninth birthday. They learn the ways of healing from their mentor and the other healers but do not have much say within politics, however they can attend meetings and go to negotiations to learn. They help the Shaman care for the orphans and help within the nursery. If a Shaman has a child, one of their children must take over the parent's rank.

Xi (unlimited number)
They are the warriors of the pack. Those who hold this position are loyal and quick to follow orders. The Xi's main job is to serve and protect. Life as a wolf is fast paced and at times brutal, meaning one has to be physically ready to face anything and with this in mind they often receive additional training. Guardians often accompany patrols and hunts to serve as extra muscle along with guarding the den especially when there is cargo as precious as pups within it to help put the pack's minds at ease. While others are by no means helpless, Guardians are typically better equipped to handle large scale attacks such as a fight with another pack. They observe for danger and keep an eye on the higher ranks. Trained and given this position by their skills, they are the ones who protect the pack from any other canines and threats, roaming alongside with the Scout(s) to ensure its safety. Some Warrior(s) will stay with Scout(s) and watch in one of the shifts for no one knows for sure when a threat will appear, always being ready. Suggested when taking this rank, Warrior(s) must be quick thinkers but also have common sense as well as being able to remain calm in any given situation. They may at times even assist the Lambda and escort the Upsilon. Should an unwelcome visitor infiltrate the packs territory they are able to call upon the Deltas or Betas.

Lambda (unlimited)
They are the hunters of the pack. They follow the Alpha or the Deltas in the hunts. Those who hold this position are loyal and quick to follow orders. They have stealth and agility on their side and together can take down larger prey. These wolves are responsible for providing for the nourishment of the pack. They hunt and forage for food. Their main duty is to keep an eye on their resources such as water supplies and potential den areas. he hunters of the pack are the main ones to provide fresh kills and they work day and night to find enough to satisfy the growing pack. Their patrols may vary in size depending on the terrain and prey they are targeting; from chasing hares and deer in the forest using only a pair to five and up for larger take downs ranging from elk to moose and bison in the open plains. They must be athletic and able to follow orders efficiently and without question as well as bounce back from injuries that frequent their profession from kicks to wounds from horns. Overall a key staple and back bone to the pack, for where would they be without these selfless providers. They may at times even assist the hunters. Should an unwelcome visitor infiltrate the packs territory they are able to call upon the Deltas or Betas.

Psi (unlimited)
The guards are divided into two different ranks. There are pack guards which help the warriors in defending the pack and escort the Lambda and then there are the den guards that guard the mothers and their pups, provide food for them, etc. They are responsible for leading the pack into a hunt. Their duty is to keep track of natural resources, finding dens and areas of abundant food for the pack. They also must keep watch of the pack, making sure to call the Gammas, Deltas, or Betas.

Upsilon (unlimited)
These members may have been a Lambda at some point but are generally lean in build and quick minded. They might be natural loners who prefer being on their own. The scouts and spies main job are to collect information, be it from other packs, humans or others that pose a threat and assassinate anyone as needed or asked by the higher ranks. Constantly at the border of the territories, Upsilon are sent out to guard and report anything suspicious or that would threaten the packs wellbeing. The canines who are sent out to investigate other packs, including rivalry packs and from time to time allies. Acting like news, they bring any news of all types. Dangers, betrayals, alliances, and packs becoming rivals. Not any wolf is chosen for this task, for if they are ever figured out by the others, it could lead them to their death. Part of daily life as an Upsilon is going on patrols as it is vital for the pack's safety. The size of the patrol may vary and in the pack's early stages may even include non scout ranked individuals to prevent others from taking on this task alone. There is no specific time line, they may be sent in the morning, afternoon, or evening, and occasionally in times of crisis more than once per day. The life of an Upsilon is a difficult one, while it certainly can be filled with adventures it isn't all sunshine and often times the lifestyle drives many into a lonesome depressive state or forces them to embrace their inner assassin. Tasked with the darker side of ensuring the pack's safety, they may be sent on secret missions to enter opposing packs for many reasons; mostly ranging from intelligence gathering to sabotaging to assassinations of high ranking or simply unlucky wolves. They must be intense actors, willing to play any part, and yet remain loyal at their heart to themselves and their pack despite the many faces they may wear. They must be agile enough to take on canines of equal or greater abilities without hesitation. They often are the background workers who clean up messes the pack is best left unaware of but are vital none the less.


Subordinates (unlimited)
The main body of the pack, these members have training in every rank but often help the guards guard the mothers and omegas. They help as needed within the other ranks. These are adolescents (10-17) and newcomers to the pack and must prove themselves before they are given a better ranking or can be wolves who don’t fit into the other ranks. However, they need to be careful and achieve a higher ranking least they become the Omega. They know much about each thing. They often work with the Shamen to teach the pups as well as the adolescent subordinates and others who might need a bit more knowledge within the pack.

Etas (unlimited)
Less dominant members of the pack, not timid enough to be omegas. They help the Shamen and their apprentices in the nursery and patrol/hunt as needed. They are the peacekeepers of the pack, using mediation between those who are angry with one another. The Alpha may take them with them to speak with another pack over starting a treaty. They make sure that no serious fights break out within their own pack. They may at times also work with the Delta or Upsilon. Often the other members will come to them to confide in, because it is the duty of the Eta to keep such confidences confidential and try and help those who come to them by giving them advice and advising them on what might be best for them. Although they are not always right but should be able to help and be a good listener. It is also advised that they themselves do not make judgements of others.

Omegas (unlimited)
At the bottom of the system, Omegas are the wolves with little to no power. The omegas are the pups from newborn to nine years, timid members or members who fail their training, and elders. They do all the chores around the pack. They help to make others laugh when things get stressful and are the scapegoats of the pack.

He was always timid and bullied as a pup, resulting in failing his training to take on a rank. When he was captured, he became mute as a result of being beaten yet tried to hold onto his cheerful nature. He’s shy and frightened of anyone that isn’t an omega but is fiercely protective of his daughter. Gradually he grew to being the wolf he is today, protective and caring for his pack members as he sees them as a family. He doesn't want anyone, not even the omegas and eta to suffer like he did.

History:​

Bio: Born into a different pack, he was the runt of his litter and often bullied by his siblings pack mates his age. He was always too timid to rise very far into the ranks of the pack, actually failing in his training when a teenager so was made an omega where his bullying continued. When he was fifteen he was captured by another pack where he was kept as a slave to one of the higher ranking wolves but when his master died was made a prisoner of the pack. When he was eighteen, he made friends with a sickly female and mated her during a full moon, the result being their daughter Eleanor. The couple tried caring for their daughter but having been sick while pregnant and giving what food they got to their pup they hid from the pack resulted in the female getting weaker. Seeing her getting weaker, they took the chance one evening and fled, making their way to not his birth pack but finding themselves lost. She unfortunately died during the journey, leaving him with his daughter to raise on his own.

Personality: Quiet, hard working and gentle would be the best 3 words to describe Adamina. Ever since she was young Adamina had always been a it of a strange girl, she preferred to spend days alone adventuring the forest by herself and this worried her parents horrendously as they were afraid that their daughter did not feel the call of the pack that almost every other wolf felt but her parents didn't need to worry. Upon her 9th birthday Adamina was chosen to become a shaman apprentice and this is where she truly flourished into the beautiful young women she is today. Like all other shaman Adamina has a passion for healing, caring and loving her pack deeply but she doesn't express this love through words instead she does the odd little jobs that people rarely think off to keep the pack as harmonious as possible. Her loyalty to her pack and her alpha is unwavering, it's essential part of her being. Underneath Adamina's quiet exterior lies quite a sensitive, nurturing and funny young women who loves taking care of all pack members but she takes great pleasure in teaching all the young pups about the history of their pack, the legends of the pack and of course the odd horror story to make them behave. Adamina lives a simple life full of laughter and love which she's extremely lucky to have but recently Adamina's been subconsciously searching for her mate.

History: Born in the Summer to Hope and Isaac Larson, Adamina shocked her parents upon their first meeting because of her striking red hair. The Shaman who delivered Adamina was also surprised but eased her parents minds telling them that having such red hair much be a good omen. In the first few years of her life Adamina was a extremely curious child who wouldn't stop wandering off into forests and climbing tree's, paddling in the stream and observing all the different types of plants. Sometimes Adamina would forget that her parents would be expecting her at home and would stay out way past curfew causing her parents and Caspian to go out rushing to find her thinking the worst had happened. Her parents used to worry endlessly about their only daughters role in the pack, they didn't want her to end up an omega but they did also not want her to become a warrior however, their prayers seemed to be answered as upon Adamina's ninth birthday they were visited by the Shaman who delivered Adamina and she was taken as his apprentice. Her training to become a Shaman had now begun and Adamina finally got to learn about all the plants she'd observed in the forest, all the talents of being a shaman came easily to Adamina and upon her 15th birthday she become a true Shaman herself. Her 15th year of life was the best and worst year in her entire life for 2 reasons the good reason was they the family welcomed Nico into the world and the bad reason was that 3 months after Nico's birth both her mother and father went missing during a routine territory check, both are presumed to be dead but no bodies were ever found. Adamina didn't have time to mourn her parents as she became the soul caregiver for Nico, her brother Caspian being a xi was always on the go and so Adamina took on the responsibility of raising her brother, parenting is hard but Adamina wouldn't change it for the world.

Personality: Quietness must run in the Larson genetics as Caspian is a rather stoic man who prefers to act rather than talk. His impulsiveness has gotten him in some sticky situations before with both his family and with the pack, he doesn't think about the consequences of his actions which had led to multiple fights and squabbles among the pack. While he is stoic and rarely shows outward affection he is extremely loyal to his family, he'd do anything to protect them from harm especially in the case of Adamina who spent a lot of her childhood going missing from the family home causing lots stress for him as he would have to go searching for her almost everyday. His is extremely proud of his family as well, he likes to brag that his sister is one of the five shamans of their pack as it had also gained Caspian some social standing where he is allowed to make minor decisions but all major decisions are made by those who outrank him. HIs position in the pack takes him away from the family home a lot of the time leaving Adamina too look after their little brother, he does feel slightly guilty about Adamina having to take all the responsibility for Nico but he knows that his role is also essential in protecting his family and pack, he tells himself this almost everyday when he leaves early in the morning and comes home late a night. Being a young man of his age as well his inner wolf has been desperately searching for their mate as the urge to reproduce becomes stronger during every single heat he experiences but just like his father he will only have children with his mate and no one else.

History: The eldest of the Larson family had a few peaceful years being an only child being doted on endlessly before his red headed little sister came into the world and caused a lot of worry for the family. Due to his parents worrying about Adamina for so long and about what her future social standing in the pack would be Caspian felt like he was brushed to the side a lot during his childhood but he still enjoyed the occasional peaceful moment with his entire family during holidays. At the age of 9 Caspian started training to become a warrior and this is where his natural talent shone through as the young man breezed through the course but still gave it his all. Caspian was out on patrol when he got the news that both his parents had gone missing, he remembers sprinting around the territory trying to catch any scent of his parents but they seemed to have vanished without a trace or their had been foul play involved. Upon returning to the family home late at night he saw his little sister cradling their newborn baby brother who was sleeping peacefully in her arms and in that moment Caspian realised that he was the head of their household, he was the one who'd have to keep both his family and pack from now on and he takes that responsibility extremely seriously and won't hesitate to take action if someone dares try to hurt his family or pack.

Personality: Nico is a typical kid, he's loud, funny and loves running around and playing with his friends. He accompanies Adamina to work most days where he plays with the orphans who are in her care, he spends the majority of his days playing with them and rarely slows down except for the occasional nap time or when Adamina scolds him for something. The young wolf is extremely close with his older sister and considers her to be his mother more than his sister as Nico cannot remember his actual mother and father. He loves his older brother Caspian very much and always wants to show him all the new and cool things he can do. Not knowing his parents was probaly one of the best things that happened to Nico as it has allowed him to live a childhood without pain or grief compared to his older siblings who he occasionally finds crying or just needing some alone time. Nico has become to light of the Larson family as he always has so much love to give and doesn't expect anything in return, his favourite thing to do currently is to play cops and robbers with all his friends and also have Adamina tell him stories of the pack when he's about to go to sleep.

History: His parents went missing a week after his birth, he considers Adamina to be his mother as she has been his main caretaker his whole life. He loves to spend time with his family and friends and is always seen with a smile on his face.
