Nation Building Beyond the Wall Faction sheets

General Deth Glitch

Two Thousand Club
Hello everyone if you could post your faction sheets below partly because they have been sent to me in like 3 different places and it will be hard to keep track of. You can copy and paste your answers to the first two questions or write something new but we will be using this to keep track of some things as we go forward. Just gotta find everyone so I can do the intro post and get this ball rolling!

Sysyje Chiore is a famous humanitarian artificer of the Matrizian Empire known as much for his quality craftsmanship so much as his mastery over the magitechnological. Spoken of in the social circles of the nobility as an eccentric reclusive genius, he permanently closed his workshop to payroll this journey so he and his village can start a new life. Orphaned from an early age, his talent landed an apprenticeship, and he adopted the last name of the orphanage matron dearest to him. His followers are peasants of various trades from his village located deep in the boonies of the central Matrizian Empire. Their community has fallen on hard times due to cheap imports, and a failure to industrialize.

Race: Goblin. These Goblins are intelligent and prefer to use their cunning smarts and inventions to win the day, however, they can fight dirty if they need to and always can find a way of making things explode if necessary.

Grem Firebrand likes to create technological marvels to aid in every day life. A happy and jovial young man, he prefers to solve his problems with diplomacy and hard work. If that fails, and the bribes fail, he won't hesitate to protect his interests and the interests of his people at all costs and prove just how dangerous a cunning mind can be.

Odo Meriadoc (Meriadoc being his dynasty/surname). The Meriadoc family is a patrician family whose rising power has put them on the political landscape. Odo specifically, has profitted from his family's rise. Given an elite upbringing and tutorship, he was raised to eventually take over his father's business enterprise in the import/export industry. But as a way to further the family's prestige and name, Odo was given a commision as a Commodore in the navy to serve in the Empire's distant territories and colonies where he could get some experience as the CO of a frigate. Not to mention it would give Odo the chance to learn the difficulties and risks of long distance sailing/trading and to network with other officers and aristocrats in the area. He now sets sail to the New World to expand his family's business and by extension, political influence.

Alezentra Nigaurd is an an ambitious and bright eyed woman in the shadow syndicate, she wants to succeed as she has eyes to become the 'Queen of Thieves' and cement her and the syndicate into the annals of history.

The Shadow Stndicate is a group of figures who operate from the shadows, a seedy criminal underbelly to some towns and cities within the Matrizian Empire, they were often in the past and in the present left alone due to their ability to regulate the criminal world and the authorities unwillingness to want a power vacuum in the empire. They discourage killing but not blackmail, and often make agreements with the peoples of power in the given regions whether they want to or not. They function off of blackmail, robbing, extortion, and black market trade... They have taken upon the current journey in secret the current sect are people from the faction who volunteered upon the journey in hopes to give the faction a more permanent and stable place of residence as partially a back up and moreso to help with their expanding ambitions. They almost embody the phrase of honor among thieves if thieving were honorable.

The Kingdom of Felland is a parliamentary monarchy, and a protectorate of the Matrizian Empire. It's composed of almost entirely of gnomes and imps.

The gnomes of Felland are stout, child-sized humanoids with golden-brown skin and rough-featured faces. Although hairless they possess most all the same parts as a human, with their pointed ears and large swollen-looking noses being the biggest signifiers of their alien heritage. They have a cultural appreciation of the life-giving properties of the soil, and the vast majority strive to work in agriculture, or, at the very least, forestry. They are a people lacking in ambition, and will only engage in conflicts if their way of life is outright threatened.

When it comes to the imps, nothing defines them as much as their lack of definition. Highly mutative, their common characteristics are less a law than a rule of thumb, one which is dictated by the dominant variant of the century. The flavour of this century is one of scaled, long-toothed monsters with rainbow accents. Imps come in all shapes and sizes, but you can expect most to be the size of a large human. Due to the nature of their mutations, imps are rarely symmetric. Many even elicit sympathy from those who are less familiar with them, due to the various frighteningly large, but benign tumours all over their bodies. Most imps die in infancy, a fact of life to the imps which has been countered through each mother laying hundreds of small eggs, from which only a handful of life-capable individuals are expected to hatch. The process is very food intensive however, and without the hospitality of the gnomes, imps would have gone extinct long ago. Something the imps repay through protecting the gnomes from those who would seek to disturb their peace.

The chosen agent of Felland is Marcell Lund. Marcell Lund is a rare thing in that he's a gnome with some semblance of ambition. While perhaps paling in comparison to other leaders, more his ambition than anything else has allowed him to stand out in gnome society. A calm, even-tempered person, Marcell is typical in the way he desires to make allies whenever possible, often pursuing peace when others would war.

Longbao is an island city state that the Matrizian Empire controlled to use as a staging area for operations in distant lands. Because Longbao was the empire’s only colony to the “East” as it was called. It became the center for many of the Empire’s possessions and foreign lands to trade with Longbao leading to its development of an export oriented economy. Slowly the Colonial government lost influence and the local businesses run by the local Longbaoese as they’re called gained economical and political influence in the colony.

The expedition for Longbao is named Longbao Enterprise Company, a private commission of financiers and bankers who want to commercialize any valuable resources outside of the Empire. Financially supported by the Longbao Commerce Board. An office where Longbao’s biggest companies meet and decide on future financial goals for Longbao and their companies.

The man leading the expedition is Sun Yusen, a young up and coming financier who has seen a lot of success and notoriety in Longbao and made a few financial achievements in the Empire. He’s very coy and witty which some of the members of the Board despise but the young members of the Company look up to. Yusen’s goal is to see that LEC makes profit from these expeditions and he’ll do that though any mean necessary.
