Belegar Ironhammer

Keidivh

Warrior with the Silver Eyes
Name: Belegar Ironhammer

Race: Dawi (Dwarf)

Gender: Male

Age: 647

Class: Lord

Personality: Belegar is a grim man, even by Dwarven standards. There is good reason for this however, as he was the son of the last king of Karak Eight-Peaks, the greatest of the Dwarf holds next to Everpeak itself. However his inheritance was not this magnificent hold, but rather a bloody grudge, to avenge the fall of this powerful Karak. Yet he was taken to it with a grim determination, making an oath to reclaim the entirety of Karak Eight-Peaks for the glory of Karaz-Ankor. Belegar is a furious commander, yet cunning and patient.

Biography: Belegar was born into a clan with no hold to call his own, and a great grudge that hung over his brow. Before he even knew how to speak he was told by clan of the fall of the Eight Peaks, of the shame they carried with them, and the grudge that was theirs to bear. He took these lessons to heart, and watched as his clan tried repeatedly to retake their homeland. Each time they failed, and each time another grudge was added. His father was the last to make this attempt, and was cut down at the very gates of the Citadel.

When his body was returned to the Everpeak, Belegar took up a bloody oath. He would reclaim the entirety of the Eight Peaks, cleanse every darkened corner of its depth of Rat-men and Grobi. Yet Belegar wouldn’t follow the path of his fore-fathers, blindly charging to their demise at the slopes. Instead he would lead his clan throughout the realm of Karaz Ankor, offering their service to any Hold in need of aid, particularly if their problem was with Grobi or Rat-men.

Clan Angrund became renowned for its service to the Dwarf disparate Dwarf holds. Led by their indomitable leader they turned the tide of many a battle, turning back tides of Greenskins and purging Rat-men in the deep.

All of this helped to build support for the self-proclaimed rightful king of Karak Eight-Peaks as many offered supplies in terms of gold, runes, and Dawi. However it wasn’t until he won the support of High King Grudgebearer that his claim became legitimate, and Belegar, now known as the Ironhammer, had the power to make good on his oath.

Summoning the entirety of his Throng, Belegar Ironhammer assaulted the massive Karak, and after butchering his way into the heart of the city managed to take the top of the Citadel, right in the heart of the peaks, reaching out to the very skies. However his small hold was immediately put to the test as tens of thousands of Night Goblins swarmed their position, held back only by the sheer tenacity of Clan Angrund. However this was but a probing assault by Warlord Snarsnik, said to be the most ingenious and cunning Goblin to have existed, and Skaven spies of Warlord Queek Headtaker watched in the dark places of the mountains, preparing to unleash their own horrors on the Dawi.

Yet despite it all, despite the many horrors inflicted upon the Dawi, they have held. All the while the three lords of the Eight-Peaks are locked in and endless battle of wits, will, and determination. Still the Dwarfs have made gains, now holding one of the Peaks, Karag Lhune, the Crescent Mountain. The Ironhammer isn’t content with this however, and even now makes his final plans to take the remaining peaks, along with the heads of his hated foes.

Abilities/Strengths: The Ironhammer was given this name for a reason. He is considered to be one of the finest warriors amongst the Dawi, said to be second only to the Slayer King and the Grudgebearer. He is also a cunning, inspiring, and patient leader, traits that have been invaluable in the clans efforts to retake the Eight Peaks.

Weakness: Belegar’s desire to retake his ancestral homeland borders on obsession, and there is no price he’s not willing to pay to retake it. He will not retreat, and he will not take a step back. And while cunning and patient, this can change greatly in the heat of battle. His hate against the Grobi and Rat-men is terrifying, and it is well known the king can lose himself to a berserker fury.
