Name: Tanner Mannerheim

Appearance: 178 cm. Pale, usually smells of grease, cordite, and metal. When he activates his aura, it’s a neon green shimmer that tends towards ‘angular’ sparkles. Calloused, deft hands are usually fiddling with one device or another. A toolbelt lined with many, many pockets and tools goes around his waist, under his customary leather jacket.

Personality: Tanner has this rare knack to stay cool and collected under pressure. During a fire at school he quite calmly ‘built’ a fireproof path to safety by smashing several walls with a fireaxe, then guided classmates along it. It got him a recommendation. He actually went for a snooze when an airship he rode went in for an emergency landing. He had no time or tools, so his fate was in the hands of the pilots either way. As if yelling like the other passengers would make things better. He can and does get excited, angry and scared, but he just never loses it completely.

Stubborn as a mule, detail oriented and nearly inexhaustible, Tanner can occasionally spend all night at work on any one of his projects or training.

Taciturn and dedicated, it can be difficult to get a read on Tanner. He's obsessed with guns and explosives, to the point he actively disdains fighting bare handed.

History: Tanner is the 3rd son of a freighter pilot duo. This life started calm, and insofar as was possible, decent. His father would helm the ship, while his mother handled the self defense guns. Tanner himself felt most at home on the engineering section of their small ship, where he often fiddled with odds and ends of various firearms, engine parts and whatever else he could get his hands on. School at the time was an unwelcome distraction, but one that Tanner excelled at the most out of all of his siblings. He much preferred the freedom of the open skies and road, but he took what he could get.

Then came the crash.

A fault in the engines sent the entire ship slowly spiraling down to the cold hard ground. Despite not even so much as raising a fuss, Tanner did walk away from the crash with a now active aura. He then performed quick first aid on both his parents, fashioning a crutch and splint for his mother and an improvised gurney for his father. He then proceeded to set up a temporary camp, fortified it to hell and back, and waited for a rescue mission. Three days later, said rescue mission finally deigned to show up, much to the relief of the now nearly out of ammunition Tanner. Impressed by his calm demeanor, the rescue team recommended Tanner become a huntsman.

He notably lacks any other great deal of family drama. There's no great legacy he needs to live up to, no secret uncle who is also an evil overlord, not even one lost sibling. The whole reason he wants to become a huntsman in the first place is because he has a pleasant home to protect. Tanner’s got three sisters and a brother, genuinely enjoys his old neighbourhood mates, and has a stable relationship with his parents and extended family. They get him involved in shenanigans from time to time, whether he wants to or not. The docks are his home, and he’ll return there time and again.

Semblance:
War in the Pocket - Tanner can store things into what is essentially a pocket dimension. He places his palm onto the ground and whatever object he wishes to store, and then it slowly sinks into the ground as if into quicksand. He can at any point touch the ground again to draw the object out. The total volume is equal to a shipping container's worth of volume. The larger the object, the longer it takes to get out, but even the smallest bullet takes around three seconds to draw out completely. The pocket itself feels like cling film and doesn't contain air, so storing living things is out of the question even if they stand still long enough for Tanner to activate his semblance. He has yet to find a volunteer willing to wear a scuba tank to go in and check if lack of air is the only issue.

The Skoane, a heavy duty machinegun. It used to be a vehicle-mounted only gun, until Tanner got inspired and slapped a shoulder stock on it. Tanner prefers to prepare an area beforehand, using tools, teammates and landmines to force people into the killzone of Skoane. While it does not shift forms, the gun's ridiculous firepower more than makes up for this deficiency. The sheer volume of high caliber rounds Tanner can send downrange in a short span of time is terrifying. The gun can fire from a straight box magazine, or preferably belt fed. To control the recoil Tanner must brace himself, something he usually does with a set of tent pegs he keeps in a brace on his wrists. The downside should be obvious: When braced, he's practically immobile. When he can move, his prowess nose dives as he can't crank out the same amount of firepower at acceptable accuracy. He can stab with his brace spikes, quite hard even, as a nasty last ditch surprise for anyone that thinks him helpless in a melee fight, but this is exactly what it says it is: Last ditch.

In battle Tanner moves forward slowly and deliberately, grinding down opposition with inexhaustible torrents of firepower. While he can move around like most other huntsman, he truly shines when he can support his team from the rear line. Not just because he can hunker down and truly crank out the firepower, but also because he can pass around spare munitions, food, first aid, and whatever else someone might need.

Personality:
Carmine is a naive and soft soul, who's greatest flaw would be being... slow. He relies heavily on his brother to do the thinking, but makes up for it by being far more pleasant and friendly. He's rather in touch with his emotions and isn't afraid to show them, often wearing his heart on his sleeve. In combat, he prioritizes protecting his brother, who he cares for more than anything in the world despite their constant bickering and fighting.

History:
Carmine and Cordovan have spent their whole lives togethor. Literally, seeing as they're twins and all. They share a story, and while they may be incomplete as people seperately, they are content with being whole togethor. Carmine followed his older brother everywhere when they were kids, and still does today, and Cordovan did a good job looking out for his brother. They're life was pretty average, with their father being a police officer of the city of Vale. Their education at a combat school was mostly achieved because of a cheaper cost and closer proximity to their home, but they've shown great aptitude for combat togethor and they found themselves enrolling into Beacon

Schloss- A Great shield that requires two hands to weild. Often used to bash people down and crush them.

Personality:
Cordovan is the far more domineering of the two brothers, being the "smart" one. He's alot more aggressive and rude than his brother. He is usually the one to get into trouble more often than not, but it's also usually at the defense of his brother. He usually hides his care behind a prickly personality.

History:

    The scythe can detach whenever the holder wants creating a chain scythe light enough to maneuver compared to a full blade. They are not just a weapon when together it becomes a beacon to harness the control of Violet's magnetism.

    Personality
    Violet is a bubbly girl with no sense of what boundaries are. Growing up on a remote island on a lake, and being a twin meant doing everything together. However, she is capable of being without her sister if need be. She is most notable for being the sweet one of the two. A calm and collected type who is naive, compassionate even towards the enemy willing to give them a chance (except for Grimms). She is easily enthused like a child and when around friends, she will cling like glue having no fear of being someone's shield to save others.

    If she is ever heartbroken it's a rare sight but she always gets back up. If she is told to do less, she is able to back off for a short time.


    History
    Violet grew up in the woods on a remote island with her parents, older brother and her twin where they learned the basic training to be a huntsman both literally and figuratively. Living outdoors meant foraging for food while getting some footwork done.

    While their father trained Violet and Atomic, their older brother, Daniel, was the one who would give tips and tricks to master their skills for their weapon. The girls admired their brother much like every sibling and aspired to be like him. Everyday they would train to hold a candle to his flame until it became competitive. Daniel's one sided praise became a competition to see who was better, motivating the twins for their brother's approval but after many times, Atomic realized just how skillful her twin truly was.

    While Atomic struggled with the fact that her semblance was just a bust and harnessing dust was much more difficult than anticipated only infuriated her. How could she fall behind when they were both born the same only she was born a faunus. Thus began the repression and the severing bond. An internal conflict displayed during a sparring match where Violet pushed Atomic into the ground only for the faunus to snap, taking it as an insult of weakness and losing her temper. Her moves erratic, blinded by rage until she got what she wanted and pinned Violet to the ground. In an animalistic way, Atomic nearly injured her sister. Atomic felt conflicted and retreated causing a distance between them and since then, has felt remorse while Violet's attempts to bring her back, felt like an endless chase.

Semblance- Warrior's Calling: Zan has the ability to channel their aura into their weapon in order to boost the attack of Excalibur. While aura is being channeled into any weapon, the user's ability to self heal as well as naturally defend themself disappears all together, requiring the need for further defense.

Excalibur is your classic longsword, forged by hand during Xanthe's early years at Atlas' primary (like Signal and Sanctum) combat school. Over time it's been enhanced and upgraded to withstand extreme force, making it nearly unbreakable in most conventional ways. Without using their aura, Excalibur attacks like a simple one handed weapon. When amplified with their aura they tend to change their stance, holding the weapon like a two handed greatsword if only to pack a heavier punch.

Xanthe's Scabbard is where the real weaponry magic comes into play. While inactive it looks like a typical sheath for a sword, however.. Using stolen and modified Atlesian technology- a crossover between an Atlesian Paladin and Knight, Xanthe was able to rewire their very own "mech suit" of sorts. In all of its basicness, Zan created a scabbard that when not holding their sword could be activated into a suit of slow, bulky, and often faulty armor... but man could it take a beating!
Personality: Zan is an impulsive soul, and while they have many good traits that fuel almost all of their actions, they tend to rub people the wrong way. Stubborn, independent, and straightforward, they often make decisions or plans and act on them before fully thinking through the consequences. They are often motivated by the people around them and have a strong bond and loyalty to their teammates and friends- so long as they all see eye to eye. Zan is one of the last people to back down from an argument and hates to admit when they're wrong, often leading to careless mistakes. When not planning the next mission or worried about the next exam, they tend to relax and unwind as most teenagers would, cracking up with a witty sense of humor and a never ending supply of morale. They fight in the name of honor and justice and keep a positive outlook on all fronts, even in the face of imminent danger.
History: Xanthe was born in the Kingdom of Atlas, the bastard child of an Atlesian general and a lowly rat Faunus. Despite being born human, the general wanted nothing to do with her child and was quick to send it down to Mantle like a stray. Zan lived with their father, the rat Faunus in the slums of Mantle, and for a while was oblivious to the upturned noses of the elite floating above them. They lived the basic life of a hermit child, scraping by with petty theft, odd jobs and the like just to get by. By age 10 there was a small riot in Mantle. Nothing the government couldn't handle of course, but enough to draw in a small pack of stray Grimm. Xanthe had been caught in the middle of the situation, and was one of the first to react to the beowulf breach. Using nothing but a baton from a fallen Atlesian Knight and a hell of a lot of will power and stupidity, they were able to distract the beowulf's long enough so that civilians could get to safety. The Huntress who arrived at the scene to support saw Xanthe's bravery-? Stupidity-? Whatever it was, and took the young child under her wing, giving them personal training and lessons up until they were old enough to enroll in primary combat school.

Once they were in primary school things began to fall apart. Xanthe learned much about fighting and combat, but at the same time they learned of their heritage and the mother who wanted nothing to do with them, as well as the Atlesian Elites who looked idly on while Mantle suffered below. When they turned 16 in an act of teenage angst, or maybe even rebellion, they swiped an Atlesian key card off of their Huntress friend and proceeded to steal one of Atlas' hidden gems of a weapon, a Paladin-Knight that they would later revamp and modify into the Scabbard they know and love today. Out of fear of being prosecuted for such a crime- as well as a newfound resentment for the Kingdom of Atlas and their elites- Xanthe pressed onward to a new Kingdom that they could prosper in- Vale. And with such- Beacon Academy.

Semblance: Chained Vices. Sol's Semblance gives him the ability to chain and form pacts with Grimm. Rare is it that a Grimm desires to do anything but kill the Hunter in front of it. So 99.9% of the time this ability seems worthless. However seven mutant Grimm defied expectation and forged convenents with Sol.

Weapons: Cane: A thick metallic cane with seven rings along the length that cane be filled with Dust. These can either be used for close ranged attacks or for buffing the currently summoned familiar.

History: Sol Ebonhart was a Designer Baby made by scientists deep bowels of Atlas. The intention was to see if they could artificially create a perfect Hunter. During the process a spy from Mistral sabotaged the experiment using materials gathered from a Grimm. While intended to deal irreparable damage to the project. It instead merely created dormant mutations within the fetus. Sol was deemed a failure once he was old enough to hold a weapon. His constitution was weaker than the average Hunter and he didn't seem to possess a Semblance. While failed experiments would ordinarily be terminated. Sol was saved by the very same spy who ruined his genetics in the first place. Betrayed by her comrades in the criminal underworld. She took Sol in to make up for her misdeeds. Raised in Mistral among the rough and ragged. Sol learned to think on his feet and enjoy the simpler pleasures. His favorite thing in the world were the arts, which flourished in a place such as Mistral. A book of poems given to him by his adoptive mother Melcha Ebonhart, never left his side. When Sol was ten years old, he came down with a fever that nearly killed him. Melcha snuck back into the lab in Atlas to discover that this was a result of his damaged cells. The Grimm parts that were spliced into him were also killing him. Sol would be lucky to reach thirty. Captured by the scientists and experimented on herself. Sol would be captured again by the scientists. As per the wishes of their boss, Salem. Sol was thrown into an arena with seven Mutant Grimm who were also dying due to failing genetics. While at first he expected to die. The cries of his mother allowed him to awaken his Semblance. Spectral chains formed around his hands. With this power he was able to tame each of the Grimm, offering them a chance to evade death for just a little longer. Unfortunately this new power was not enough to save his mother, who died helping him escape. Learning of his short lifespan and accepting it. Sol became a wanderer, never staying anywhere too long. His Grimm Familiars were drawn to negative emotions and people who learned of his powers would fear him. After saving a family from a pack of Beowolf. Sol was scouted by Beacon Academy...

Plain yet recognizable. It's easy to gloss over the young lass in the crowd if one were not to search for her specifically. Donning in white and blue clothing with a mix of red. Standing at 5'3 with sapphire tinted hair. Finding her through Auditory senses alone, Her headset plays often on high volumes, sometimes she mumbles the lyrics of the current song.

Leer blade- When activated, Felicia's eyes will begin to glow a burning bright red dots. This glow in the preparation of a laser vision attack ability burns its targets with blinding speed. This twin double streak of burning light can cut through iron with relative ease, anything tougher will apply its second physics of a concussive pressure. The laser has a mechanic of pushing back its target if not punctured. Ranging on a maximum of 50 meters, silver mirrors can deflect the laser and continuous overuse can damage her eyes, leading to temporal blindness. These weaknesses are what prevent the student to abuse this ability.

Unnamed hammer axe- A standard design of a hammer ax with little to no modifications for dust or transformation modes. Felicia designed the weapon back in her early years in Signal academy, often mocked for its simplicity combined with Felicia's own inexperience with the weapon type adds salt to the mockery. The weapon consists of an ax blade and a mallet head forged parallel between the elongated tip of the weapon. Giving the option of blunt or sharp damage with the twist of the weapon's edge. Color motif. Bronze, and cobalt.

Jawbuster- A second-hand brass knuckles purchased from the city of Vale where Felicia refuses to reveal its exact store purchase. A rather underwhelming weapon for someone like Felicia. Given its size fits bigger fists better. Special modifications are the mechanic of choosing blunt or sharp with a click of a button. Normally set in the blunt mode where it's only a flat surface. 2-inch spikes protrude from the knuckles. These brass knuckles are concealed from view as they serve more as a secondary weapon in case the hammer axe becomes an invalid weapon within reach.

Personality:
Aloof and a girl of a few words. Troubled with socializing with another with her bitter outlook on life and unfortunate experiences with us a few bad apples in her past interactions she spoke with. The practice of politeness and reverence is although practiced only in her subtle actions and reserved choice of words. In her eyes, all she has is herself and her pure hatred towards the dark creatures of Grimm. Doing things mostly for herself and walking alone without calling for help, even her problems cannot be resolved alone.

She masks a blank expression to suppress facial emotion. The face does not speak for her but her tone and actions towards something is enough. With such an attitude. She can only struggle alone unless she changes herself.

History:
She can only remember her life with her single father. Mostly who she looked up to and loved dearly as he was the only family member left. A graduated Huntsman from Beacon, slowed down from injuries received from the hard battles of hunting Grimm. Actually discouraging the same path he took and hoped she would pick another occupation. Although she would argue this to her father over and over that she wanted to become a huntress so that he may not kill himself in another fight with the creatures of darkness.

She was given the opportunity to study her road to fighting Grimm starting with Signal academy. Right from the get-go, she was getting constantly outclassed and outshined by other students. Despite the competition, she still pushed through until she built her first unnamed weapon but at what cost? Only to have her true taste of combat right in her own home as she finds her father fighting for his life against the creatures of Grimm. With her new forged weapon, an attempt to fight the monsters was not a hesitation.

Opening her eyes days later to find herself waking up to the sound of a beeping Holter cardiac machine, checking her vitals. The child would seek their parent. She started to doubt herself in the midsts of despair. Felicia was later then enrolled in Beacon academy.

Nickname : Ali

Sexuality : bisexual biromantic

Semblance : Hibernation-- Aleida can essentially go dormant for a small period of time, and after doing so comes back with a large spurt of energy. In her hibernation state she can have her wounds healed at a slightly accelerated rate, though of course going dormant comes with risks on the battlefield.
Weapons : Aleida fights with dual gauntlets, equipped with bearlike claws to slice at opponents.

Personality : Aleida seems far too cheerful, excitable and downright naive to be a huntress. She comes off as almost childish, often oblivious to things that everyone else is aware of. Don't let her cheerful facade fool you, though: She's the type to punch you in the jaw with a smile on her face.
History : Aleida was born to a retired hunstman and huntress couple, and they ended up being her biggest role models. Despite the discrimination that faunuses face, Ali was largely shielded from the darker parts of the world throughout her childhood, being home schooled by her parents and taught how to fight by them and them alone, never facing the worst part of schooling--ridicule by peers. At least, not until she was accepted into Beacon.

Tara stands in at about 6'7" and thanks to both her training and being a cow faunus is incredibly strong and under her clothes it shows thanks to a nice set of abs. Thanks to both her height and cowboy outfit she is incredibly damn hard to miss.

Semblance: Friction Change - When she touches something with her hands, Tara is able to change an items friction. She is able to make items be completely frictionless or have an insane amount of friction. As an example she could touch her shoes making them essentially like ice skates or rollerskates making it super easily moving about. On the other side of the coin she could give gloves an insane amount of friction making her able to grab people and have a difficult getting out of her grip

Weapons:
Devotion & Hope: two large hand-cannon revolvers, they are designed to be universal able to use all types of bullets. Thanks to their size and ability to use all types of bullets, the dual guns are both massive and heavy to handle so that they can avoid heavy recoil from the higher caliber rounds. Once people get into close range she can out right pistol whip people for some decent damage but the more important function is both guns ability to turn into whips, which is it's close range mode, by adding dust cartridges into the handle the whip is covered with that type of dust, fire, ice, stone, etc. On the side of each barrel has their names etched into them along with her symbol

Personality:
Tara is a tough nut to crack. Silent and aloof she prefers to keep herself away from people, keeping her emotions under wraps. However she is incredibly easy to anger, touching her motorbike, Widowmaker, insulting her, insulting her family, White Fang are probably the quickest way to get Devotion and/or Hope aimed directly at you. Thanks to the support of her parents she is incredibly prideful of being a faunus and insulting Faunus in general, with the exception of the White Fang, is also another way to get on her bad side incredibly quickly.

If someone does manage to break that massive and tough exterior they'll find a jokester of a woman, with a soft and easy smile. Once someone becomes her friend she would do just about anything to help them, making vehicles, repairing weapons, etc. Additionally despite her looks and initial personality she is incredibly smart in general.

History:
Once an orphan she was picked up by the Stratas, they weren't anyone super important at least in the greater scheme of things. Her mother was a farmer and her other mother was a mechanic, Tara spent most of her free time in her mum's chop shop learning and helping fix cars, bikes, etc. Thanks to this originally Tara wanted to be a mechanic and work with her mum in Stratas Motors, however after talking with her about it her parents managed to convince her that since the shop was incredibly small that it would be better for her to become a huntress.

After enrolling into Signal Academy, at the start she was constantly at the bottom of the class, only being second last thanks to Fellisisa. Thanks to both these low scores and being a faunus she was consistently bullied and picked on, however unlike most bully victims Tara full fought back throwing punches and fighting as dirty as possible. Both the bullying and wanting to help her mum's she buckled down and studied as best as she could so that she can get into the top 10 of the class.

Her Semblance first activated when her first version of Widowmaker slipped off it's supports and landed on her, her Semblance activated letting the bike slip off her so it didn't stay on her. Taras first single run in with Grimm happened when she went on a test run with Widowmaker Version 1 and it exploded when a Grimm bit into the gas tank.
