Bad boy x Good girl (Closed!)

She looks surprised... I can't tell whether she likes the flowers. It's a little nerve wracking, honestly. But she says I was being nice so I guess it went well.
When she comes back she sits on the motorcycle gingerly, almost afraid of it. I smile a little. She asks where we're going and explains the phone rule. "Yes, ma'am," I laugh, taking out my phone and silencing it.

"As far as where we're going, you don't get to know where we're going until we get there. Surprises add to the... effect." I smile, doing a little jazz hands thing on 'effect.'

I walk over to the motorcycle and swing my leg over the side, sitting on it backwards and facing her. I'm a bit close to her because of the bike's size; sort of like on the beach. My heart quickens just a little.

"A few things before we begin," I start. "First, you should know that I have not ever crashed this bike, gotten into an accident or ever even scratched this baby. You are completely safe." I say protectively and smile softly. "I even bought you a helmet this morning so you wouldn't panic..." I pick up a sleek, dark indigo motorbike helmet. "It's cool yet feminine, light but still protective. It's perfect for you." I console, handing the helmet to her.

"Next, you said you only wore jeans and boots. You're wearing a skirt today." I wink. "Not that I don't like it, it's pretty, but wearing a skirt on a motorcycle might prove to be... Problematic. Just a warning."

"Finally, so I may start off this adventure correctly, have you eaten breakfast yet?" I ask, tilting my head a little.
I roll my eyes a little bit when he tells me he can't tell me where we're going, just for the ''effect'' but I still smile a little bit when he does the jazz hands. He really took my proposal seriously as he seems he already has a map in his head. When he makes his way to the motorcycle and places himself in front of me, my breath starts to get a little bit irregular but I get back to reality when he starts talking. He starts to tell me about his motorcycle and how I should feel safe and I just laugh, and I just stop when he shows me the helmet. It looked pretty nice and I took it from his hands as I played a little bit with it. It didn't seem that heavy as I expected, it was actually really light.

I raise my eyebrow when he mentions the skirt, maybe they weren't my style but I really enjoyed medium or long skirts. ''I think I can control my skirt, and after all, people could appreciate my expensive boxers and my fantastic legs.'' I pout, it is not like my skirt would just fly away to space, and after all I had boxers on so it won't be a big deal.

''I had no time to eat anything in the morning, I woke up kind of late so it would be nice if I could eat something.'' I mutter as I place my helmet on, it was pretty weird and I am sure it messed my hair entirely. ''Okay but first of all, you need to kiss the helmet, for luck. When I get gifts I always make people kiss them so I can steal their luck.'' I laugh a little bit as I place my head a little bit in front. ''Oh, and you have to teach me how to hold on this devil machinery, and then we're good to go.''

She's fine with the skirt, so I'm fine with it. I lightly laugh about her joking about what people could appreciate underneath the skirt. "Just thought I'd give you a fair warning. If you're fine, I'm fine."

Since she hasn't eaten yet I've decided on the first stop. She places the helmet on her head - it's pretty adorable on her, I have to admit. She tilts her head towards me and says she needs me to kiss it. I laugh with her and kiss the top of the helmet as requested. "The helmet's not exactly what I want to be kissing," I think to myself, my smile faltering just a little as I shake the thought out of my head and put my face back to normal within the second.

I flip around on the bike and kick up the kickstand, steadying the bike with my feet. "All you have to do to hold on is this," I say, reaching back and wrapping her arms around me. The contact burns a ring around my middle and I shiver just slightly, but steady my voice and continue. "I'm pretty steady, don't worry. You'll be fine. Feel free to hold on as tight as you need to." I offer a little comforting smile to her somewhat terrified face, as I start the ignition and slowly start moving the bike. I feel her arms tighten and it gets a little hard to breathe, though it's not how hard she's gripping me.

I drive somewhat slowly for me, but I'm sure it feels really fast to her. That's why I keep it smooth. At the first of the stoplights, I ask over the quiet roar, "How're you doing?" I wait for a response until it turns green and keep going.

We arrive a few minutes later at the first stop, the Teaspoon Cafe. I park the bike slowly, placing the kickstand, and then carefully get off, holding Clary's arms along the way so she won't fall. I'm not sure how she'll react.

~~~
The Cafe is open and very morning-like, bright white walls, mahogany floors, counter along the left with homemade pastries, little tables on the right side of the room, and a sunburst-pattern skylight. They're famous in the area for their french macarons - I insist to Clary that she must try their strawberry cream ones. I laugh a little bit when he kisses the helmet, I felt like a little kid that made his parents kiss his toys so he could sleep peacefully. I watch him as he flips on the bike and takes my arms and puts them around his waist, as he gives me a comforting smile. It makes my heart tremble just for one second before he starts to move the bike. I didn't mind the moving or anything, it seemed quite adventurous and after all, the town was really beautiful. I only saw the area of my house, the beach, the pizzeria and high school. And that was it, but the town surely was bigger and more beautiful than I imagined. When I first heard of moving here I though I would kill my father if he will bring me in a shitty place, and of course at first it looked shitty. I didn't knew if the town was actually this nice or I though about it being nice only because Decklan was there. I returned to reality when he asked me how was I doing. ''Pretty fine till now, I didn't die so I feel great.'' I say as I smile under my helmet, after all, that was the truth. Decklan didn't seem like the careful driver but I was sure he did this only to make me feel comfortable.
I notice a small cafe as it makes it way on the road, Teaspoon Cafe. He helps me get off of the motorcycle, as he holds my hand. I don't mind that much, I felt a little bit dizzy but I still could hold myself straight; I get the helmet off and place it on the motorcycle as I fix my hair, trying to avoid looking at Decklan, as I was sure I looked like I was in a tornado. ''Well that was fun, didn't expect that.'' I say after I finish fixing my hair as he makes me follow him inside the cafe.
I make my way to a small table and place my bag pack on the floor, as Decklan tries to convince me to get some french macarons. I roll my eyes and finally accept to get some next to my coffee and sandwich as he gets up to buy them. I look around the place in the time he is sitting at the counter. The place really looked clean and nice, smelling like fresh flowers. Then I feel some tugging on my skirt and when I look down I notice a boy that couldn't be more than 5 as he was playing with it, making eye contact with me.
''Hey there.'' I mutter as he keeps looking at me. Maybe he got lost? I pick him up and place him on my knees as he looks with his innocent eyes, that kind of reminded me of Decklan.
''You look like my girl friend from kindergarten. Do you want to play with me? I could give you my toys.'' He finally mutters as I can't stop my laugh. He was so sweet that it made my heart just drop in sugar and roll in it forever. I didn't even notice when Decklan returned with the food as he made a surprised look when he noticed the boy.
''Look at him! He is like a mini-you, he even invited me to play with him. I have to dump you, Decklan. Just look at him.'' I laugh and I hand him a french macaron as his eyes just grow larger and takes it immediately. ''You know, even if I don't believe in love and marriage and stuff, I would like to have 2 kids, I mean, just look at this cute pie!'' I say as I pat the boy on his head, still looking at him, laughing.
''So you want to play with me? Me better than him. Me has toys.'' He says as I keep laughing, looking at Decklan's reaction, even his grammar was cute. ''Jealous?'' I say as I look at Decklan, raising my eyebrow as the small guy keeps cuddling with me.
I return valiantly to Clary to find a child on her lap. It's a little kid with black hair like mine, but he's got bright blue eyes unlike my green ones. He was simply loving Clary. On one hand, I wanted to be jealous that he got contact with her and I didn't, but at the same time, my ice cold heart started to melt for him. He was kind of adorable...
''Look at him! He is like a mini-you, he even invited me to play with him. I have to dump you, Decklan. Just look at him.'' Clary says, handing him one of the macarons on the table. He takes it with his grubby fingers and devours it, and Clary is (figuratively) eating it up. Then I realize what she said. My eyes widen just slightly. "Dump me? As in we were dating?" A small smile begins to grow on my face. I catch that she wants two kids through my pleased thoughts.
''So you want to play with me? Me better than him. Me has toys.'' The kid says. Clary is laughing at this declaration but he is looking up to her, dead serious. He hugged on her and she hugged back, and I found myself laughing along with them. "Jealous?" Clary asks, watching me. I just smirk to her. "Absolutely not. I am satisfied with what you said." My smirk breaks into a big smile as I lean back in my chair and wait for her reaction, enjoying the little guy messing with her hair and her earrings. It was pretty adorable.
I look a little bit surprised when he says he is satisfied with what I said, but what did I actually said? I start to think a little it about it in the time the boy is playing with my hair but I get interrupted when a lady approaches the table.
''Sorry about that, he always runs away and starts hugging everyone.'' She says as she laughs a little bit, taking him from my arms. ''He especially likes to steal girls when they're in the middle of a date.''
''I would've almost ran away with him and leave the other one,'' I point to Decklan, ''but you showed up, so Decklan should really thank you.'' I say, laughing as she makes the little boy wave at me and they exit the cafe, making me turn back to the table. I make a little smirk when I start moving my chair so I could be closer to Decklan. ''Because the love of my life, mini-Decklan, left, I have to deal with you.'' I mutter as I smile to him, placing my legs on the chair. ''Sometimes I think kids have the best life, they can hug strangers and nobody would complain about it, they touch boobs, nobody complains about it. But if you, for example, would go at someone and hug them or touch their boobs in that hug, you would get slapped. Or killed.'' I say as I shrug.
''Wait. I almost forgot.''I say when I remember that I actually took a camera with me. I start searching through my bag pack a I finally take it out and place it on the table. ''Because I am a photographer in my free time when I don't draw or things, you have to let me photograph or film sometimes.'' I say as I take a quick pick of him and place the camera at my back just in case he won't be happy about that, smirking.
Clary looks greatly confused by my response. I just laugh lightly. The mother of "mini-Decklan" comes back to retrieve him. They leave and Clary looks after them happily. Finally, she turns back to me and scoots closer. I, in turn, do mostly the same thing, since I was laying back on the chair earlier. She talks of how kids have the easy life.
"Your thoughts are correct," I explain. "I was very much like that child and I loved every minute of it. But once you hit first grade, that perk just goes downhill." I shake my head and laugh a little.
She takes out a camera suddenly, saying she must be allowed to take pictures all day, then snapping a surprise one of me. I roll my eyes, but end with a smirk back I can't help. "Fine, make a scrapbook of surprise pictures of me. Whatever you wish." The thought of that sort of scrapbook is kinda funny, actually.
"So what do you think of the macaroons? Tried them yet?" I ask, somewhat excitedly.
''I'll make a scrapbook and sell it to your fans, or even better, show it to everyone in case you annoy me.'' I say proudly, as I place the camera back into my bag pack. Then he asks about the macaroons and I remember that I didn't even try one, but of course I gave one to that small boy. The macaroons looked pretty nice but I didn't knew if they would taste good. I take one and look at it for a little bit before I decide to take a bite. They were a little bit crusty but the strawberry cream really did the deal, they were sweet so I continued to eat another one.
''Not bad, not bad. I give you 9/10 for the first place.'' I say as I sip some of my coffee too, as I was looking at him. The waitress came and smiled to use as she placed the note on the table. ''Let me check for my money.'' I say as I pick up my bag pack and start to wander around it until I get 10 dollars out of it and place it on the table, before placing my bag back on the floor. ''So, where next my personal guide and driver?'' I say as I lean on my chair, slowly moving my leg back and forth.
"Not bad? Clary, macarons are masterpieces. Macarons are..." I trail for a moment, scooping up one off the plate and observing with a small smile. "...Macarons are Paris, France, on a beautiful ornate stone patio in the chilled yet comfy early morning, next to the Eiffel Tower, the sun shining just right, with delicious vanilla coffee and a plate of them." I take a bite.
When the waitress brings the check Clary sets some money on the table. "Oh, no, that's not part of the deal," I say, snatching up the money and giving it back to her. "Part of the deal was I buy you food and everything else. Don't even try it." I declare, pulling out my simple wallet and paying myself.
"Next is, as usual, a surprise." I smile warmly, taking her hand and leading her out the door. We get to the motorcycle and I hand her the helmet. "If it gets too fast, just give me a sign," I say, before starting up the bike and zooming off once again with her.
"Next, we're going to the beach before it's super hot in the afternoon," I say as we drive up to it. "But there's a section you haven't seen yet." Rather than going to the west side with the pizzeria, we've gone to the east side of the beach. There's a little straw hut that serves out little cocktails (or drinks without alcohol, which we'd have to do today). And as we walk up to the water, colors shimmering in the water begin to become apparent. Starting at where the water washes up and into the waves are millions of beautifully colored shells. I scoop one up out of the water. It's a marbled pearl and purple colored oval shaped one. "Shell scavenging." I say with a childish grin. "Whoever finds the prettiest one wins."
I laughed but I was quite impressed by his way of describing macaroons, it was pretty romantic if you ask me. ''Fine, fine, macaroons weirdo.'' I finally mutter and then I frown when I notice he hands me back my money. Maybe I said that he can pay, but I didn't mean for everything; I just sighed, took them from his hand and continued my way outside the cafe as he was holding my hand. I don't why it kind of felt nice and secure to see him holding it and I continued to look at our hands until he handed me my helmet. ''Got it.'' I say as I place myself on the motorcycle as we drive away.
I was kind of excited because the beach area that I didn't see, I really enjoyed beaches and I felt like a small child when I was around them. I stare at the small shells that make their ways on the sand, shining in the sun; it looked like glitter was thrown in the ocean. I raise my eyebrow when he mentions shell scavenging, when I was in camp I always won that game and I won't let him win that easily. ''Just to let you know, I was a champion in the summer camp, and the prize?'' I say as I make a childish smile, my eyes scanning his face. As I awaited for his answer I already started to look around the water to see the best one: pinkish white, yellow, light blue, I could stare at them for ours. ''And if you make me to pick prize, I swear to God I'll dump you, just say something and we could start.'' I say, I never liked when people made me pick something. ''Oh and for the scrapbook I'll sell, let me just get that Decklan's thinking face.'' I mutter as I just take a picture, placing the camera back into my bag pack.
I smile lightly to the camera quickly, expecting the photo coming, before I respond about the prize.
"The person who wins gets to dare the other to do something..." I add something on before she takes advantage of the deal. "It can't involve documenting with pictures, can't be spoken of to others after and can't involve stripping." I break into a beaming smile, thinking of her crazy ideas from the pizzeria before. "Deal?"
The thought process behind this prize was that I could dare her to do something crazy or silly or something if I won; but if she won I could see what she really wanted me to do. Perhaps she would dare me to do something I'd wanted to do before... or she might just tell me to do something stupid. I'll see the outcome soon.
I observe my oval-shaped shell, noticing a chip that I didn't see before and tossing it back, waiting for a response. I'd need to find the perfect shell with no deformities, cracks or holes to win this. She seemed competitive...
I opened my mouth when he mentioned we could dare each other to do something but I immediately shut if off when he mentioned the things I wanted to say. ''But... well of course if you have to do them, but if I had to be stripping or something you won't say any bad words about those dares.'' I mutter as I return to searching my shell. After all I could dare him to jump of a cliff and break his neck, that sounded good enough.
I continued to look around the beach, slowly kicking the sand with my feet, all the shells looked pretty boring and neither of them looked good enough. And then I noticed it: it had a pretty weird shape but it was was white with light pink and that made me just love it immediately. I placed my victorious smirk on my face as I made my way back to Decklan, patting his back. ''I found the best shell in the world.'' I say as I show it to him, moving it into his face. ''Beat this.''
The shell
delphinula_shells.jpg
When she agreed I began the search. I found multiple shells I was having a hard time deciding on when I spotted a tiny one right beneath me. I snatched it up right before the wave carried it away. It wasn't bigger than a penny but was very polished and smooth, and was a pale red shade. (See image)
Clary came up to me confidently and showed me her find. It was definitely a good one - it was large and special for sure. I took it and observed it for a moment, nodding approval. I handed it back after a minute.
"Take a look at this one," I said with a smirk. My little shell was placed in the middle of my palm. I gestured for her to admire it.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_12/image.jpeg.7aed5bd63f2bd8936e359fafc7f985ee.jpeg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="92253" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_12/image.jpeg.7aed5bd63f2bd8936e359fafc7f985ee.jpeg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>
I was pretty proud of myself as he took my shell and studied it, giving it back afterwards. And then he let me admire it shell that looked pretty small and delicate making me think that my shell was pretty stupid and way too big, making me sigh. ''Fine, you win.'' I mutter. ''But I have to keep the shells.'' I say as I take them from his hands, taking some pictures of them and then placing them into my bag, as I smile to him, a little bit annoyed. ''Just say what you want me to do, I do it fast and we can continue our adventure.'' I say, crossing my arms as I wait for his dare, hoping he will get right to it.
I smirk at her annoyance. She claims the shells, taking a picture. "Sure, you can have them." I offer as she tucks them away. She tells me to hurry up so we can continue.
I consider all the things I could make her do... And decide on the quickest thing that will also please me.
"I dare you to delete the picture of me in the wig." I smile wide. "All evidence of that endeavor must be destroyed."
I look at him with disbelief, out of any thing in the world, he picked that? It seems he really wasn't good at picking dares, but her smirk came on her face.
''Nope and nope. I am keeping that. And there is no way you can make me delete it, you can only try.'' I say as I cross my arms, that picture won't leave my phone even if I die for it. ''After all, it is not that bad, it is only showing your gay side. Everyone must accept that side, Decklan.'' I say as I place my hand on his shoulder, slowly patting him as I try to restrain my laughter.
"Riiiight." I say, rolling my eyes and crossing my arms in annoyance. "Well would you rather lick the tire on my motorcycle or tear up some important piece of homework? The deal was you do the dare I say, so do it." I smirk. I would never make her do those horrible things but she didn't know that.
''This girl won't delete anything, won't lick anything and won't rip anything. And yes the licking part sounded kind of wrong, but back to the subject. I said no and no remains. Can't you just put a normal dare like: Hey go skinny dipping, or fucking kiss me or go kick someone in the face? I will keep the picture and that's it.'' I say, with my arms crossed and my pouting face on as I turn around and start looking around annoyed. Would he really made me do that things? I roll my eyes in annoyance, but I can't help to smile a little bit.
''And now I will go to meet another love of my life, if you excuse me.'' I turn my head to him and then I start walking on the beach again, waiting for his reaction.
She refuses once again, turning back and walking away.
"Wait, Clary," I say, catching up to her quickly and spinning her around to face me. My hands are on the sides of her shoulders tightly, but I loosen them when I realize our proximity. I've put us in a very close position.
Her suggestions weigh heavily in the back of my mind as I drink in her eyes and reaction to the closeness. "Well..." I say in a hushed tone, thick with the intensity of the situation. "Since you did say we were dating, and you did suggest it, I think it would be... appropriate to dare you to kiss me." I choke out the words. My tongue feels heavy and my heart is leaping into my throat. The sides of my head tingle with anxiety. I can't help just a tiny little bit of vulnerability coming through in my expression, though I try very hard to prevent it. The silence (for only a few seconds, but what felt like hours) was deafening, as they say, as I waited for her reply and struggled to keep my eyes on hers and not on her lips.
I was surprised when I felt his hands on my shoulder, spinning me around as I was placed way too close next to him, making me regret that I even started to walk away in the first place. When he starts talking, I feel my throat going dry and I can't feel my legs for a moment. I didn't mean to get to his point, I though this could be an innocent walk around the town only to show myself that I didn't care so much about him actually. But in the way this is going he is making me feel a little bit strange and I don't know if I can control my feelings. He makes me feel like I lost control over everything in that moment, I lost my barrier that kept people away and I lost my barrier for love. ''Well you know, mostly the guy takes action on a date and kisses the girl, and you're kind of tall and I might run away like a puppy in any second, so just do it.'' I mumble, feeling his breath on my face, I may regret this later but I was way too much into the moment to even think about it.
My heart felt that it was beating out of my chest. She still stood there, seemingly mirroring how afraid I was in her own looks. She looked almost paralyzed when she told me to do it.
This is the moment you've been waiting for, Decklan. She's telling you okay. So just make your muscles work...
My eyes finally swept down to her lips for just a moment before I quickly but gently brought mine to hers. There were probably going to be major consequences from this, but I couldn't feel anything but electricity shooting through my veins at that moment.
When our lips smashed together, I couldn't help but move a little bit closer, in that moment I didn't actually care about the future or what might happen if I'll continue to fall for him even more. After a minute that seemed like a year for me, we stopped kissing and I stared at him for some seconds before I placed my hair behind my ear as I try to hide my blush and my vulnerability. I take some steps back and try get to back to myself. ''Um, so where you take me next?'' I asked, biting my lip a little bit as I move from one leg to another.
I knew as soon as we pulled away from each other and that light little blush colored her face that she would be my drug. I felt like they say you do when you take take some sort of drug - electrified, perceptive, noticing every little thing. The way her hair fell behind her ear, and her eyes glanced down to hide her face. The way she bit her lip ever so slightly, more than likely reliving what had happened; and she anxiously stepped from one foot to the other, unsure of how to respond. I couldn't think of anything I'd want more than to bring her back into my arms and make that blush darker...
And it was really fucking terrifying.
The consequences started to cement themselves in my conscience - the huge possibility of awkwardness, ruining moments, but above all imminent heartbreak. My pleased smile falters a bit as these thoughts come back to me. I had let them go in the haze, and now it was coming back sharper and more painful than ever. It was an understatement to say I was scared.
When she asked where to next, I pasted a smile back on my face. I wondered if she could tell how nervous it was. "Surprise. Follow me!" I say, turning back to the motorcycle. I didn't hold her hand, but I knew she'd have to hold my waist on the bike. I gave her the helmet and hoped she wouldn't be too uncomfortable as I shot off to the next destination.
Through the brisk wind I was able to clear my head enough to get through this day. I still wanted to spend all the time with her, that was for sure; I might act a little shaken up here and there, but ultimately I decided I could be normal and forget what had happened just for today, preserving the fun in our adventure.
After a while, I pulled up to a larger building that looked a little older. Inside it would have a tall ceiling and the most beautiful wooden floors you've ever seen, and I was excited to show her.
"Presenting the oldest and biggest library in the area," I said, hopping of the bike with a tiny smile. "I knew you liked books, so I thought you might wanna hit this place today."
I rolled my eyes and smiled a little bit when he said it was a surprise as I started to follow him. When he gave me the helmet, I placed it on and as I got on the motorcycle I placed my arms around his waist. It didn't feel as weird as I expected it to be, after all it was just a small kiss, nothing serious. I pretty much started to join being on the motorcycle, it was like you flew through towns, people and time and nobody would notice you.
When we arrived in front of the old building, my heart just stopped for some seconds, it looked all old and it just made me fall in love with it. I could almost say it looked like a small castle trying to live between the malls and shops, that library felt like it didn't belong there. I jumped a little bit excited like a small kid that was brought to a toy shop and he could pick any toys. I made my way inside the building and noticed how bigger it was on the inside, shelfs full of books everywhere and a small lady that was sitting on a chair, looking at a book. When she noticed she had visitors she placed the book down and looked at us, then smiled.
''Visitors, I see. Welcome.'' She says as she continues to smile.
''Can I look around?'' I asked pretty excited as I continued to look at shelfs, then throwing a little smile at Decklan, hoping I don't look way too stupid and childish in that moment.
''Sure. Go ahead.'' The old lady says, laughing at my excitement.
That's all I wanted to hear as I start to look around the shelfs, all fascinated about the books that I could buy or borrow, leaving Decklan behind.
''Since when Decklan brings girls to the library? Seems you got rid of that short-skirted skirt, what was her name again? Ah, Talia. Is this new pretty fairy for losing time or something serious?'' The old lady asks, as she returns to her book. She knew Decklan since he was all small and tried to read books about elephants and plants; she loved to have him around with his pretty sarcastic jokes, making her days better.
"And when you go after her, tell her to leave some books for the library too.'' She mumbles, she kind of enjoyed that he finally picked a girl that doesn't roll her eyes at a library, but maybe a book lover wasn't too good too.
She was as excited as the "mini-Decklan" was to get a macaron. She floated around the large building beaming - I knew this was a great choice. I read many books, but I was in the middle of a long one. I didn't need another now, so I just smiled and chuckled happily as I leaned against a wall, one leg over the other and crossing my arms.
The wall was near to the person who maintains the library, Mrs. Laveda. I'd known her for a very long time. She was like the grandmother I never had. She smiled to me gently, her gold glasses falling off the bride of her nose a little, and wondered aloud if I had let Talia go. With the freshness of the kiss with Clary and Talia coming back to haunt me, my smile faltered a bit, but I tried to stay in the same mood. Clary was happy, so I was happy.
Mrs. Laveda asked whether this new 'fairy' - that was a good word to describe her - was "serious." My smile was small and somewhat nervous, but I looked over to her and said softly, "I'd like it to be serious." I didn't mention that serious meant for me to not suffer pain of any sort, because that is simply impossible.
I know Mrs. Laveda noticed my somewhat sad look and remark, but she was never a nosey person. That I loved about her. She only got involved when she thought it best. She simply just made a sarcastic remark to tell Clary to leave some books for the library. That earned a smile from me - the thought of her cleaning out the building and reading nonstop. After a couple minutes, I explored the maze of shelves to go find her again. Eventually I did.
I continued to stare at the shelfs and I couldn't believe that I am actually next to so many books. I didn't even notice that I must got far away from the exit, leaving Decklan somewhere around there. After I found some books that really intrigued me and got them in a big pile that I carried into a corner, I sat myself down and started to look through them. They were really interesting and very diverse, from romance to mythology and I couldn't get my eyes off them. I couldn't help to smile when I noticed that people wrote stuff on them, from: ''this reminds me of him'' till small drawings made in the corner.
Then I heard some footsteps that made me look up and I noticed it was just Decklan.
''You scared me.'' I mutter as I return to the books, making a sign and showing him he could sit next to me. ''You know, I never know how people just name books, maybe some people don't even publish finished books because they don't have a title for them. If you would write a book about me, how would you call it?'' I ask, regretting it for a moment, maybe it sounded stupid, so I move my eyes back to the books.
''Any recommendations from the expert?'' I ask, smiling a little bit and looking at him, so I could get out of the awkwardness that I created earlier with my question.
