Personality: Azzam is a mild mannered and patient man who would gladly ponder a problem for hours, inspecting every angle before taking action. He is slow to embark on a path and once set upon a course has difficulty changing it due to his stubborn nature. While Azzam can doggedly pursue his goals things that fall outside of his current ambitions tend to fall by the wayside, only evicting lethargic responses. While he is no stranger to the cycle of life and death or the less than moral ways of amassing wealth, it was ingrained in Azzam's upbringing to honor trade agreements making him place value in the spoken word.

History: Born into a tribe of traveling nomads Azzam has spent his childhood traveling the endless seas's of sand and refining his skill of barter and trade with every camp and city they passed. Occasionally he would marvel at the sheets of satin, myrrh and exotic spices carted along to be traded for more essential goods or other fascinating trinkets. While most trips were peaceful the tribe customarily passed down the art combat using both the traditional spear and ones own body to ward off potential raiders. Finding the spear often a burden when entering secure districts or unsettling to potential trade partners Azzam focused on honing his skills in unarmed combat.

As he grew older Azzam developed an interest in increasingly rare trinkets, finding the barter for essentials to hold little interest compared to seeking out unique treasures. In addition his strength had also grown, filling the young man with enough confidence to strike out on his own and pursue his passion. With only one person to carry his goods Azzam's merchandise became increasingly smaller and more valuable. Instead of simply trading the young man also began searching, following rumors and scraps of truth to unearth artifacts and forgotten relics.

His latest hunt had ended in disaster, the caravan he'd joined had been ambushed and only barley managed to scare the raiders off and the rumored relic had turned out to be nothing but that, a rumor. Resources expended and injured Azzam had returned from the cruel desert with little to show for his efforts only to find an intriguing letter waiting for him.

Thoughts on Dragons: Creatures of legend, fierce as a raging basilisk and more majestic than the noble lion. I'm certain even their scales would be of great value, but how would one come across them? Say, perhaps you've heard a tale or two?
