Personality
Usually calm and collected, Ayame almost always projects the persona of a caring mother. Perhaps partly due to her role of a medical-nin. Patient and gentle, she's often seen speaking to others in a calm tone. Don't mistake her patience for pacifism though, she still is a Jounin and can easily take out another shinobi should the need arise.
While still caring at home, Ayame isn't above taking a more strict approach to put a stop to quarreling siblings. Yuuki can attest to being snapped by a water whip on more than one occasion . . . If one were dumb enough to try and threaten her family, may the gods above have mercy on you.

Background
Born and raised in the same small village the Mifune Clan once called their home, it wasn't much surprise that Ayame ended up marrying into the clan. The Shimura were always adept in providing support through their water style arts and illusions. Ayame in particular quickly took to learning and weaving illusions at a young age. Pairing her intelligence and knack for chakra control, it wasn't much surprise she ended up learning medical ninjutsu down the road.
While she remembers the attack on the Mifune's village, she wasn't able to take part in defending the village outside of distracting the attackers with a powerful genjutsu and then escaping with her young daughter. Settling into Kemuri, Ayame ended up becoming a member of the medic corps. Now in charge of the corps, she rarely finds herself out on missions instead working to train new medic nin and raise her two children.

Special Equipment:
Wrist-Mounted Senbon Launcher: A device that is used to launch poisoned senbon at an opponent with deadly accuracy. It is comprised of a five part segmented device with barrels on top where the senbon are loaded and soaked inside the barrels when the strings are pulled. Wires on the back of these facilitate the launching of the weapons.
