Awakening through each other

Name: Alex Corbin

Age: 19

Appearance: Alex has brown, slightly curled brown hair that complement his deep brown eyes. He is slightly toned, healthy in appearance. A small, horse-shoe shaped birthmark can be found on the bottom of his right forearm, near his elbow. He wears contacts, but at times will go without them, needing glasses if he needs to read something in small print.

Gender: Male

Personality: Alex is an outgoing character, not shy to strike up a conversation with near anyone. He has a contagious smile, and an energetic personality. He likes to try everything at least once before having an opinion of it. He offers anyone he meets the same fairness, preferring to assume the best of a person until they give him reason to believe otherwise. This leads him to have a fair bit of friends, but as far as actual close relationships, those are rather lacking in his life. He always seems so vibrant and emphatic, he doesn't have anyone to turn to when things aren't completely rosy.

History: Alex grew up with only his mother to raise him; his father had left at an early age. Despite this, his mother did what she could to provide the type of life she wished for her son, always putting on a brave face even when challenges threatened. His mother became an inspiration for him, and he always did his best, for her. He never felt like he was lacking anything physical, even if he didn't have much growing up. Her hard work eventually allowed her to save up a college fund, supplemented by Alex's art scholarship, allowing him to attend Utah University.

Name: Riley Hackett

Age: 20

Appearance: She has ash light brown hair cascading down to her middle waist, and big capturing hazel eyes sported by naturally long eyelashes. She has an hourglass type of body, but she isn’t fond of wearing too revealing close to flaunt her physical assets all around – it’s usually kept discretely.

Gender: Female

Personality: Riley seems, at first impression, a withdrawn kind of individual, but it is usually an attitude she develops when in large groups or crowds. In a one-on-one interaction (or with no more than three other people), she is usually amiable and will nearly always try to be helpful whenever possible. Riley isn’t the sort of gal who would charm her way through life, but instead through hard work and perseverance. Due to several experiences in the past, she has developed minor trust issues, mostly with males, but she has learned to give people a chance of proving themselves trustworthy, as she is with them. Her main moral rule is to always put other people’s feelings before her own.

History: Riley Hackett always enjoyed of a decent family and household, with both her parents and older brother. Her mother seemed to have other matters to attend most of the time, so she grew to be more of a daddy’s little girl, and also very close to her brother, Landon. Despite her mother’s mild negligence, Riley loved her still. The Hackett family never went through financial problems, for Riley’s father and his brother owned a big appliance company and distributor; however, Riley’s old man made sure she learned to always accomplish things of her own by ceaseless effort, and that money would never pave her road to happiness.

Riley went to college at age 17 to major in biological biomedical sciences to study genetics and genomics, to then two years later discover college really wasn’t what she was looking for. The rapture in her social life was mostly what brought to this breaking point, which disappointed her, but still wasn’t strong enough for her to change her mind. Part of her predicted she’d give it a second shot later on, but not for now.

Ability bestowed: Teleportation

Ability received: Force-field generation

Current state: Dormant

Likes: Dogs, doing research and filing down notes, learning, meeting intelligent people, spontaneous dancing, watching soccer.

Dislikes: Women who consider their attractiveness as basis of their self-worth, politics, spicy food, cats, falling in love easily, sleeping in the dark.
