S H A N G U

Name: Shangu (lit. 'Mountain Valley')
Nickname: Shan (pronounced like 'Sean' or 'Shawn')
Age: 22
Nationality: Ba Sing Se, Earth Nation
Skills:

+ Earthbending (low level; self-taught)

[Earth Wall] Stomps both feet on the ground and summons a wall of earth in front of him capable of shielding at least three full grown adults.

[Earth Pillar] Stomps a single foot and summons a pillar of stone. He can summon it beneath him for a boost, beneath an opponent to trip them up or even strike them, or out of a vertical wall.

[Stone Throw] The very basic ability to stomp on the ground to summon a basketball sized mound of earth and thrust his fist forward to launch it at an opponent.

+ Innovator and scientific researcher
+ Talented cook
+ Eel hound trainer

Appearance: Shan is a slender young man standing at six feet and four inches and weighing one hundred and eighty-seven pounds. His eyes are nearly the same chocolate brown color that his medium length head of hair is. He typically keeps said head of hair up in a messy bun with a hairband made for him by his mother. He wears a pair of round glasses that, although they help his vision somewhat, he isn’t entirely useless without either.

The young man dresses in somewhat formal clothing whenever he’s out and about, simply because he likes to. When out on the field or traveling, however, he may forgo the vest and dress pants for something a little more comfortable for the weather. Furthermore, he’s learned to armor himself at least to a certain degree during journeys. He can typically be seen with padded leather greaves on, and sometimes puts on vambraces and a cuirass made of the same material when he feels it will be required.

Additionally, his eel hound Nazca can almost always be found by his side. Almost as much as the obnoxiously large travel bag he lugs around with him everywhere. A chaotic blob of strapped together knapsacks and doohickeys, Shangu will carry it around on his back anywhere he goes if a cart to carry his luggage isn’t available or capable of doing so. It does make a lot of noise as he carries it, however, and he will set it aside if a certain degree of sneakiness is required. For the most part, it is filled with all of his scientific equipment and miscellaneous knick-knacks.

Personality:

Intelligent
Charismatic
Manipulative
Sweet

Arrogant

Vengeful

Background: Shangu was born an only child to a humble baker and his stunningly brilliant wife in Ba Sing Se. While his father baked bread, his mother lead various scientific developments on the city and its many inventions. Far too young to understand the complexities of his mother’s work at first, Shangu would typically spend his days shadowing his father and learning how to bake and cook. It was his first great passion. And, the day his father had saved up enough money to open up a dessert cafe, the young boy was its very first employee.

Working at his father’s cafe had the boy meeting many different refugees and travelers from distant lands. It fostered an admiration and interest for other cultures in the boy. The day his mother was put as the lead for a research team training eel hounds, however, he took a great interest in her work and decided to accompany her as an assistant. Training the eel hounds came with the promise of going to other lands to sell them.

The task would prove to be far more difficult than anticipated for the researchers, however… with the exception of young Shan. He had somehow managed to tame them himself with a special meal he had cooked up. But any attempts to replicate it on the behalf of the other researchers didn’t seem to work. As such, the project was dropped and the eel hounds were released back into the wild. All except one. A small female Shangu named Nazca.

Despite the failure of their last project, Shan continued to study under his mother and take part in various scientific investigations and breakthroughs. Years would pass, and he would admittedly come to realize he didn’t spend as much time with father cooking as he used to. Before he could do anything to balance the time between his mother and father out again, however, the Fall of Ba Sing Se occurred. In all the uncertainty and fright, many criminals took to the streets in small pockets of riots scattered around the city. One in particular, a traveling firebender lacking the funds to go back to his nation, robbed his father’s cafe and killed him when the man rounded a corner and surprised him mid-robbery.

The death hit Shangu and his mother incredibly hard amidst the new rule under the Fire Nation and the tearing down of a portion of the Outer and Inner Walls. Not being able to bear the thought of running the cafe without his father, Shangu allowed the cafe to close down its doors permanently. He felt incredible guilt, but his mother felt the same and they eventually learned to accept the fact that the man had loved them both and wouldn’t want them to blame themselves. One night, in a fit of rage against his father’s killer, Shan attempted to track down the criminal to exact justice. But it had only led him to a mysteriously charred campsite out in the canyons.

Having to live with the mystery of what had become of his father’s killer, Shangu continued assisting his mother with her research assignments well after Team Avatar liberated Ba Sing Se again and reinstated Earth King Kuei. He had, in fact, taken part in assisting the members of the White Lotus in fighting back the Fire Nation occupation after seeing firsthand the state the people of his nation was in under their rule. This was his first extensive display of his earth-bending abilities inherited from his father. His mother and him were of the opinion that Earth King Kuei was hardly good at his job, but he was definitely the better of the two. And, after the victory was established, they were determined to do what they could to make their city a better place despite King Kuei inadequacies. This goal would eventually send Shan and Nazca far to the reaches of the water tribe to escort a young bride-to-be as part of an international coalition.

His job was only to record the sure-to-be historical event and serve as a representative of the Earth Nation, allowing him plenty of time to do his own research along the way. Little did he know that he would encounter far more than he bargained for...

Pet: Nazca the Eel Hound
Age: Adolescent

Size: Equivalent to that of a pony

Age: 18

Nationality: Water Nation: Kangaroo Island

Skills:

Waterbending: Focus in healing abilities
Healing using water bending draws on the restorative properties of water in organisms that are primarily composed of it, such as human beings. Though unusually strong and powerful, this form of healing cannot heal every ailment. It is ineffective on people who's chi has been blocked. It works well on burns, lacerations, broken bones and diseases brought on by severe pollution. It can even help to heal tissue damage caused by lightening bolts. It can help with mental distress and tampering. The more spiritual the water used to heal the more effective the healing abilities.

Surfing:
Pania can use her water bending to surf and traverse water with speed and grace.

Expert Fisherman: Despite her young age, she grew up her whole life fishing. Pania can pretty much find fish anywhere there are fish to be had.

Water run: This is a technique in which waterbenders run on water at high speeds, in addition to riding on foreign objects with the same purpose. Pania can sometimes use the water that she carries with her to aid in speed and avoiding fights.

Water whip: The water whip is a commonly used move that involves creating a lashing tendril of water to swipe at an opponent. The shape, size, and length are all determined by a waterbender's control, and more powerful benders can create larger whips, or ones of greater finesse. The whip can be sharpened into a blade that can slice through metal with relative ease.

Bubble: Capable waterbenders are able to cross large bodies of water by creating a bubble around themselves and their fellow travelers, maintaining a supply of air for their journey.

Background:
Pania is the eldest daughter of the leader of her Tribe. She is from a small but highly reserved tribe of water benders that live in the tropical climate of Kangaroo Island. The girl has lived most of her days enjoying the ocean air and growing up in peace. The war didn't hurt her island much due to it's small stature, however after Fire Lord Zuko came to power, her father was asked to sit in on Zuko's panel of leaders. There was unrest in the Fire Nation over their new leader and the idea of fraternizing with other Nations. In an attempt to heal the rifts between nations, Pania's father decided that he would offer his daughters hand to a young but well liked Fire-bender. He belonged to a prestigious and highly thought of family within the nation, and the marriage was hoped to help bring peace to some of the other fire-bending families.

Pania was outraged and does not want to marry, especially not in an arranged setting. Her father has hired many mercenaries and guards to both keep his daughter safe on her journey and keep his free spirited, strong willed daughter from escaping.

C H A I B A

Title: The Capricious Firebending Princess!
Nickname: Ba-Ba
Age: 17
Nationality: Fire Nation
Technique: Whirling Wyvern Style -- A technique that incorporates quick airborne movements and a nigh unpredictable stream of fluid attacks.
Element: Firebender

[Fire Streams] A basic firebending ability, firebenders can shoot continuous streams of fire from their fingertips, fists, palms, or legs. These streams can be widened to create flame-thrower like techniques. Fire Nation soldiers often used this technique to damage or destroy villages and towns.

[Fire Whip] An extension of a fire stream, this continuous stream of flame has a semi-tactile quality and can be utilized as a whip.

[Blazing Rings & Arcs] Spinning kicks or sweeping arm movements create rings and arcs to slice larger, more widely spaced, or evasive targets.

[Blocking Fire] A skilled firebender can defuse and extinguish an oncoming fire blast from another firebender by using a swift kick, jab, or any other defensive maneuver, allowing them to stop attacks.

[Fire Bomb] Used as a short-range attack, a firebender can create a flame at the end of a limb and thrust the flame down in an explosive burst.

[Fire Daggers] Blowtorch-like jets which are created from the fist or fingertips to use as close range melee attacks. However, they lack the ability to actually block physical objects.

[Fireballs & Fire Jabs] Another basic ability, jabs and punches produce miniature fireballs and missiles of flame. These can be charged up (refer to "charged attacks" entry) to create larger, slower bursts, or swiftly and repetitively fired to keep opponents off balance.

[Flame Redirection] In a similar fashion to waterbending, firebenders are capable of changing the course of an incoming fire blast and redirecting it back at the attacker using fluid motion. This move exemplifies the use of firebending as an extension of the body and is used infrequently in modern combat in favor of more offensive maneuvers.

[Shield of Fire] This technique creates a protective shield of fire in front of, or around, a firebender that can deflect attacks and explosions.

[Jet Propulsion] Skilled firebending masters are able to conjure huge amounts of flame to propel themselves at high speeds on the ground or through the air. Normally, this can only be used for short periods of time by regular firebenders.

Height: 5’4”
Weight: 130 lbs
Personality: Chaiba is borderline bipolar. The contrast between her manic episodes and her depressed ones is clear. For the most part, however, she is a bundle of sunshine bouncing around and examining every curious thing she sees regardless of social expectations or norms. Sheltered for most of her life, she may sometimes do things that come off as rude or weird. She is certainly the unpredictable sort and, while she’s incredibly quick-witted, she can come off as eccentric and even annoying to certain people who don’t understand her well.

Her dedication to her family and older brother is perhaps her most redeeming trait. She would easily put her life on the line for any of her kin, including any in-laws. She has trained her whole life-- both her bending abilities and her mind-- to become worthy enough to serve them and see them thrive in such a chaotic world. Whenever any of her depressive episodes hit, her lack of faith in her own abilities and feeling of failure towards her family hits home like a bee sting. Otherwise, some may call her overprotectiveness of her older brother ‘weird’ but she insists it’s nothing romantic. That’d be gross! She just loves her brother beyond words, and wishes to make him happy in any way she can. She was under the impression that marrying him off to a waterbender girl he doesn’t even know will do the trick. But now things have changed with her induction into the rebellion.

The self-proclaimed ‘princess’ treats the art of firebending with great respect and incorporates many traditional dance moves from her nation into her techniques. She moves gracefully and is truly skilled, but her abilities are prone to being affected by her mood swings as well. Typically, this results in one of two scenarios: her manic episode hits and her flames grow large and uncontrollable until, at one point, she collapses out of exhaustion or surrounds herself with flames by accident. Or her depressive episode hits and she can’t even generate a single flame.

History: Chaiba was born the youngest daughter to a wealthy Fire Nation family that had great influence across all the nations. Since a very young age, she has always looked up to her older brother, the heir to the family legacy. So much so, in fact, that when she discovered she could firebend she insisted that she put a pause on her schooling and focus on training to catch up to her dear older brother. Since then, the young girl has endeavored to balance her life as an heiress (and the studies that come along with it) with the dedication required to practice firebending.

Having lived a mostly sheltered life in the confines of their palace, Chaiba didn’t grow up with any genuine friends. The war and the defeat of the Fire Lord at the hands of Avatar Aang reached her ears just the same as it did countless other people, however. Such wild reports only led her to worry for the safety of her family, and she was determined thereafter to study and train harder to become an asset to her beloved kin. As such, with the announcement that her brother was to be wed to a waterbender princess in order to bridge the gap between two families and secure themselves, Chaiba immediately volunteered as an escort.

Although traveling to the home of the young bride-to-be was her first big trip out of the palace, Chaiba couldn’t have been more excited and thrilled. This was her chance to prove herself to her family and make her brother proud by bringing him her future sister-in-law. Despite the fact that many would call her eccentric and possibly even annoying, she radiated eagerness and joy as her assignment began… only to be intercepted by a stunning woman named Natsumi Dara who convinced her the marriage between her brother and the girl was a disaster in the making. Overprotective of her brother and now suspicious of the water tribe’s intentions, stopping the marriage from happening and finding her older brother a nice girl from the Fire Nation instead is her goal. And, with help from Natsumi and her rebel fire lord's cadre, that goal doesn't appear too difficult to reach.

Strengths:

  • Firebending (major)
  • Exceptionally light on her feet
  • Incredibly quick witted and adaptable
  • Dedicated to her brother and family

Weaknesses:

  • Subject to mood swings that effect her bending
  • Rather spoiled with the luxuries of life
  • Dives into things rashly sometimes
  • Easily coerced if her dedication is used against her

Fire bending: Natsumi's fire-bending comes from her unhinged personality and ability to feel rage to it's fullest. She lacks control but makes up for it vast fire power. Her blasts are so charged they often come out as explosions. In a fight with Natsumi there are no buildings around left unscortched.

Lightning Bending: Natsumi can lightning bend, but due to her lack of control it is spontaneous and often uses her own body as an arc.

Blocking fire: A skilled firebender can defuse and extinguish an oncoming fire blast from another firebender by using a swift kick, jab, or any other defensive maneuver, allowing them to stop attacks

Fire blade: A more advanced version of a blazing arc. By narrowing and condensing their flame projections, firebenders can create thin blades of fire to slice through objects without completely destroying them.

Fire bomb: Used as a short-range attack, a firebender can create a flame at the end of a limb and thrust the flame down in an explosive burst.

Fire daggers: Blowtorch-like jets which are created from the fist or fingertips to use as close range melee attacks. However, they lack the ability to actually block physical objects.

Fire streams: A basic firebending ability, firebenders can shoot continuous streams of fire from their fingertips, fists, palms, or legs. These streams can be widened to create flame-thrower like techniques.

Wall of flames: One of firebending's few defensive techniques, either a situated explosion or controlled inferno, this wall of concentrated flames acts as a barrier to incoming attacks. It may be a more powerful version of a fire shield. It not only protects against attacks, but when used right, can be used to stealthily escape from foes.

Jet propulsion: Skilled firebending masters are able to conjure huge amounts of flame to propel themselves at high speeds on the ground or through the air. This can only be used in small short bursts.

Background: Natsumi was a maid in Fire Lord Ozai's palace when he was overthrown by the avatar and his crew. She was treated terribly through the whole experience. Azula threatened to kill her on a daily basis, and no matter how much she practiced her fire bending she was never given the same opportunities as the precious insane little heir. With enough time Natsumi would have killed her and tried to take her place. Natsumi was the best. Natsumi deserved to have her hair washed with rose water.

Her plans came to a screeching halt when the guards found her practicing firebending in the palace. They were so mean to her! They threatened to kill her and grabbed her really hard. They were evil, evil men. Then HER lord came, not Ozai the fake fire lord, nor the puny little prince who came afterwards, but HER lord. He got her away from the guards and all their grabby grabby hands. She has lived as his servant ever since. He is good to her at lets her practice fire bending, she's gotten really good! She just can't seem to control how big her flames get when thinks of her Lord. Natsumi will set the world aflame for him. He is her sun, and she will set the world ablaze in his glow. Anything for him.

Tobin the Tumultuous

Nicknames: Tobin, Tobin the Tumbler, Tobin the Tipsy

Age: 28

Nationality: The colonies, Earth Kingdom

Skills:
Acrobatics
Dancing
Knife Throwing
Woodworking
Skilled with many instruments

Appearance: Tobin has the lithe yet sinewy, muscular body of an acrobat. He stands at 5'9" tall and weighs 162 lbs, his body trained for both explosive and tranquil movement, though every motion he makes is deliberate and precise. He often wears comfortable, loose fitting clothing in a motley of colors, whatever suits his fancy that particular moment. His black hair often ranges between medium and long length, never cut short enough to expose his neck. He trims his beard to his liking, changing styles fairly often, but never lets it grow too scraggly. He wears a small golden hoop earring on each ear, and has an assortment of black tattoos of no discernible design on different parts of his body. A scar races over his nose and across his left cheek, a reminder of his past, but it does not dim the glimmer in his stormcloud-grey eyes. He carries his pack full of woodworking tools, his clothes, and of course a few instruments. He often finds ways to improve his instruments, and so will sell an old one to make room for a new one, which he builds himself.

Personalty:
+Optimistic
+Kind
+Easy-going
+Loyal

-Sickeningly Optimistic
-Slow to Trust
-Crass in refinement
-Sometimes rather brash

Background:

Tobin was born and raised in a small Earth Kingdom village. He learned to help tend to the family farm until the age of six, when a Fire Nation 'tax collection' got out of hand. The villagers waited for the Fire Nation soldiers to finish collecting and ambushed them on the way out of the village, but were easily overpowered. Striking out in revenge, the soldiers burned the entire village and killed anyone they could find and catch. Tobin's parents were killed in their home by a Fire Nation captain, a powerful fire bender who shot them both down with a single bolt of lightning, which also left Tobin's face scarred for life.

He was found, barely alive, in the smoldering wreckage of his family's farmhouse. The man who pulled him from the charred ruins was named Yuzo, an acrobatics trainer for a large traveling circus that was passing nearby. Tobin was once told they rushed to the smoke to provide aid, but as he matured he often found himself thinking they were more likely looting the place. Yuzo took him in like a son, teaching him the skills and discipline of a master acrobat. Tobin took well to performing and learned several other arts to an impressive level. Yuzo also imparted as much worldly wisdom as he could on his charge, instilling the belief in the boy to "Never let your mind defeat you, always better your despair, and you will be the master of your path".

Tobin spent many years traveling and learning with the circus until his beloved mentor and father figure came to pass. Heeding his teachings however, Tobin did not despair. When Yuzo was on deaths door, Tobin did not cry, but smiled at him and thanked him for his teachings and, for the thousandth time certainly, for saving his life. Yuzo's last words were those of love and pride for what his adopted son had become. Tobin knew then that it was his time to part with the circus he had called home for so long, to travel, to learn new things, to meet new people, and to write new songs. He had been wandering and entertaining for about a year when the return of Sozin's Comet and the fall of the Fire Lord came about. Tobin can feel his next great adventure nearing, and every time he thinks about it he can hear Yuzo in his head, "Don't muck it up! Heh heh heh".

Fuuenken%2B-%2BSol%2BBadguy.jpg
Name: Taiyou Himaru aka Sol (surname first)
Age:20
Nationality:Fire Nation, City of Lao on Kasai island (an Island ruled by the Taiyou family for generations)
Skills:
Fire Bending
- Sol is a very capable fire bender as long as you don't ask for precision. His lack of ability to control the intensity of the flames that he uses (his lack of precise control over his chi), make it near impossible to accomplish anything except for burning things. Despite his lack of precision, he is extremely accurate and can hit a target with a fireball from long away, but whatever it is and whatever it's near will probably become ashes.

Blocking fire: A skilled firebender can defuse and extinguish an oncoming fire blast from another firebender by using a swift kick, jab, or any other defensive maneuver, allowing them to stop attacks.

Fire bomb: Used as a short-range attack, a firebender can create a flame at the end of a limb and thrust the flame down in an explosive burst. Zuko used this technique once, and both Zuko and Aang performed it at the beginning of their routine on Ember Island. Enhanced by the power of Sozin's Comet, Phoenix King Ozai used an extremely powerful variant of a fire bomb to break through Aang's earth shield.

Fire streams: A basic firebending ability, firebenders can shoot continuous streams of fire from their fingertips, fists, palms, or legs. These streams can be widened to create flame-thrower like techniques. Fire Nation soldiers often used this technique to damage or destroy villages and towns

Fireballs or "Fire-jabs": Another basic ability, jabs and punches produce miniature fireballs and missiles of flame. These can be charged up (refer to "charged attacks" entry) to create larger, slower bursts, or swiftly and repetitively fired to keep opponents off balance.

Flame redirection: In a similar fashion to waterbending, firebenders are capable of changing the course of an incoming fire blast and redirecting it back at the attacker using fluid motion. This move exemplifies the use of firebending as an extension of the body and is used infrequently in modern combat in favor of more offensive maneuvers. Wan used this to defend spirits from firebending hunters

Jet Propulsion: Except with his sword.

Taiyou Sword Style (Sol's version) - Being born into the Taiyou family meant one thing, you were going to learn the family art. Their art centers around a special type of blade that allows the swords to be covered in oil, and set ablaze. This fire can be manipulated by the user but also allows for a different style of combat that forces opponents to seek space to avoid the intensity of the heat. Many of the blades also get closed to superheated, meaning that they will often slice through a lot of objects. This style, unfortunately, prevents bleeding as it closes the wounds almost instantly by cauterizing them. Masters of the technique are able to use mini explosions to help with the force of swings or even when locked with another blade. Because the oil is burning, and not the sword, the swords actually never get superheated and thus don't lose their shape.

Unfortunately, this type of technique requires semi-precision as if your fire burns to harsh the sword will lose its shape and you can also be injured by your own flames. Considering that Sol lacks this control, he never was able to properly master the style. At the age of 15 after years of failure, the family blacksmith came up with a way to take advantage of his intensity. He created a weapon that had an oil resvoir but also was designed in such a way that the holes in the sword, only allow so much heat and gas through, causing a pressure that acts similar to a combustion system. This allows him to use his sword to propel him upwards or put some real power behind his swings, though his sword doesn't actually have a blade.

Hand to Hand- Between years of training hand to hand, he can go toe to toe with some of the best martial artists, and gets even deadlier when he uses his bending.
tumblr_static_volcanic_viper.jpg
Appearance:
Sol comes in relatively tall, standing in around 5'11. He has long brown hair that he keeps in a single long ponytail, all wrapped up by a thick headband. His body is sculpted from years of extensive physical training, his muscle mass larger than than most of the people around him. There are a few scars across his body from training, there is nothing truly distinguishable. He often wears white pants, red shoes, and a light red jacket when he's trying to remain casual, but it really depends on his day, and if he's wearing traditional clothes or not.
Personality:
"Tch. I'll show my family what I'm worth. That I'm not some disappointment."
The attitude that Sol carriers almost makes it ironic that he's a firebender. He's fierce, fiery, and almost always on edge. There's no off switch for his anger, ego, or cockiness, or at least that's how those around him would describe him. Those who he's really close to might have differing opinions, but Sol only has a handful of people close to him.
edcbdc02f09b3b5ab1eac3eecd41a4d4--gaming-guilty-gear.jpg

Background:
Being born into a prestigious family usually meant one of a few things. I can promise you whatever just came to your mind, Sol matched none of them. His birth was surrounded with so much fanfare, even more so than his elder sister. He was the child of prophecy! The baby that some shaman from some desert said would bring glory and honor to the Taiyou family. Sol, he will be El Sol. Apparently, that meant sun in some strange language that no one had ever heard of, but it didn't matter what she spoke. What mattered he was here, and if it was up to him to bring glory to his family, and not his sister. That meant he had to be special, right? His sister had mastered the family sword art by 8, become a high ranking officer in the Fire Nation Military by 16, and was known as the "Blue Flame Swordsman".

Well the name became more of a joke than the rightful name for the child of prophecy. Not only did he take to 15 to learn the family's art, he never learned it proper. Instead, they had to design a tool to make use of his inability to control his bending properly. Even then, though he excelled with his new tool he was never close to as fluid and smooth as his sister. The name Sol had become a name of endearment, and no one took him seriously. He had been forgotten in his sister's shadow, so much so when his family back the rebellion leader, that he wasn't even allowed to go anywhere without a body guard. He'll prove himself some day...

Sometime after Ozai was overthrown, he established his own branch of the New Ozai Society.
He effectively took over the entirety of the Ember Islands along with his supporters while Zuko was away.

Nationality: Fire Nation, City of Lao on Kasai island (an Island ruled by the Taiyou family for generations)
Skills:
Fire Bending- Mastery. Knows all basic skills,
Mastery skills learned - Charged Attacks, Fire Augmentation, Missiles, Comet, Pinwheel, Propulsion, Pressurized Stream, Wall of Flames
Special Technique- Blue Flame, Lightning Redirection (cannot create it)

Taiyou Sword Style- Being born into the Taiyou family meant one thing, you were going to learn the family art. Their art centers around a special type of blade that allows the swords to be covered in oil, and set ablaze. This fire can be manipulated by the user but also allows for a different style of combat that forces opponents to seek space to avoid the intensity of the heat. Many of the blades also get close to superheated, meaning that they will often slice through a lot of objects.

Hikaru's utilizes a special sword that is made to withstand the heat intensity of her blue flames. It is compounded with a mixture of metals that make it not only extremely sharp and durable but also able to keep its shape despite the blue flame's heat. She also at times wears a special golden clawed glove, that allows her to grab blades with her bare hand and do some interesting things with.

Acrobatic and Agile: Hikaru, unlike her brother, did not focus on a heavy dose of strength training. Instead, she focused on her core, agility, and flexibility. This provided her with the ability to change directions easily, and dodge and move. It also flowed well with her sword style, allowing a fluid motion for her skills.

Appearance:
Hikaru is probably the tallest woman in her family, towering over her mother and grand mother, but that's not really saying much as both of the elders were 5'2. Hikaru's height comes out to 5'6 and a little bit extra, but she carries herself like she's 6'10. Her hair is reddish brown but appears far more red than brown and she will change hairstyles from short and spiky, to spiky with a long ponytail like her younger brother. The ponytail style is her usual style. When she was in the fire nation army, she wore the appropriate uniform but now that she's in the rebel army she wears her casual clothes (look at the pictures dweebs.) Her eyes are brown, but can be often confused with red but her mother said that was her passion burning in her eyes.

Personality:
"I will burn everything and everyone down."
Known for turning things to ashes with a smile on her face, Hikaru is usually described as a walking inferno. She leaves a wake of destruction in her path, ashes being the only thing that remains from where she just came from. She has the temper of a warehouse full of gasoline barrels - the slightest spark can cause a massive explosion. Despite this, she is able to control her anger in the name of success. For instance, of a superior officer would enrage her she was able to bite her tongue until she was off on her own where she could let her frustration out on some poor village.

She always has to show her dominance, but she is very meticulous when it comes to executing a plan. Vindictive, sadistic, are all words her father have hurled at the supposed pride of the house.

Background:
When the entire legacy of a family name rests in your lap, you either sink or swim. From birth, Hikaru had her family's legacy in her hands. She gripped it tightly, and she never let go. She obsessed over making her parents proud. Reading every single book she could find, training non stop, preparing dinner. She would not let her parents down, and even when her brother was born she dedicated herself to protecting him. So imagine what she felt when all of that was temporarily snatched away from her when that shaman woman declared her brother the carrier of their family's name. She was only 7, but her word had started to crumble. She had to work twice as hard- she wasn't going to let her brother who hadn't done anything outshine her.

By the time she was eight, she mastered her family's style, and was able to somehow produce blue flames at 12. She was a high ranking officer in the Fire Nation Army by 16, but her brother? Her brother failed to live up to his name, and by the time he was 15 they had given up on him. It was made evident by the tool they created for her brother so he could fight. She had accomplished so much by 20, even offering counsel to Azula considering their like bond (she even grew fond of the younger girl.) When Zuko defeated her, she felt her heartbreak when she got the news and her anger building up. She didn't care about Ozai as much, but she'd never serve Zuko who defeated her Azula. When she heard of the rebellion, she demanded that her family show loyalty to Lord Rochan, and when her father refused she lashed out and killed him almost instantly.

Since then, she's served as counsel to Lord Rochan ...revenge fueling the flames of her heart.

Background:
Originally born to the peaceful tribe on Kangaroo Island, Kinni grew up a very happy child. She could be seen with her cousins playing in the water, learning the ways of the tribe, and their specific clan. When she was younger she could be seen smiling almost all the time, as she fished, danced, and prayed. Her father was a bit of a free spirit, and despite her many siblings she only shared the same mother with one of them. She wasn't sure how many siblings she actually had, because she was confident that there were more around the world since her father traveled the world and didn't necessarily believe in settling down.

One day when playing with Pania, she overhead their fathers arguing and the next thing you know she and her four other siblings were on a boat with their father. They'd end up somewhere in a mountain range east of (Sokka's village). There her life changed as she moved from peace and spiritual awareness to aggression and self-awareness. She learned combat, how to hunt, snowboarding, ice and mountain climbing and harnessed her ice abilities. Which each new skill learned, and day passed away from her family each day that bright smile as a kid started to be replaced with a scowl. Still as goofy and rude as always, but

Her and her brother were taken in by the Taiyou family, who used to be friends of her parents. Her brother fled soon after and was never seen again. Rei however lived with them and their children and made the best of her life. She was angry at her parent’s for most of her life, thinking that their cause of death made them weak and traitors. All of her loyalty now lies with the Taiyou family. She never developed the ability to bend, however she spent her whole life training hard in swordsmanship and combat.

Her best friend is Hikaru and she looks up to her and the strength she has in battle. Sol is someone she has known for a long time, but she thinks little of him, his ego, or the cockiness he takes into battle. Despite this she wishes him or his family no ill will. She is dedicated to her trade and to proving that she is nothing like her parents.
