Warrior with the Silver Eyes
- Well hi there new friend!
- D'aww, you want to know more about little old me? Can't say I blame you.
- Wanna know how I fight? How about I show you instead!? No? ... Boo.
- Oh Dust... Do I really have to talk about this?
- Just a few fun facts about yours truly!
Hello my name is:
Former- Unknown
Test Subject- W.R.A.I.T.H.
Chosen name- Aurora Dusk
I am:
“18, at least that’s what I’ve been told.”
I am a:
“An arctic wolf Faunus, and proud of it! At least, I kinda am. You really don’t want to know the other half of me… You wanna push this huh? Fine, I’m a fucking Aura Grimm Horror. Happy!?"
My orientation is:
“Whoever’s lucky enough to pique my interest.”
I am about:
“5’3. What are you taking my measurements now?”
I weigh about:
“Tch, well you got balls for asking a girl that, I’ll give you that much. 121 lbs if you’re really that desperate to now.”
Look at my scars:
- “Geez, well don’t you have mobid interests! That’s alright, I’m not judging! Well the worst of it is on my abdomen. I can’t really remember what was happening cause I was blacking out, but it wasn’t fun.”
- “There’s a few nasty cuts on my forearm and wrist to… Don’t really like talking about that, ya know?”
“What, you don’t find every part of me captivating?”
- One of the most noticeable aspects of Aurora is her hair, which seems to change colors, often reminding others of an aurora one would see in Atlas. It was how she decided on her new name.
- Despite her forced mutations, Aurora still has her arctic wolf ears, something she is deeply thankful for.
- To further change her appearance, Aurora wears blue contacts to try and cover up her red/yellow eyes. If she becomes angry or loses control however her 'natural' eye color will start to make itself apparent
- If one were to touch Aurora, they would find her skin to be cold, almost clammy. While Aurora chucks this up to being a girl and always being cold, this is a side effect of being a Horror.
- Aurora has a myriad of tattoos stretching over her body. She got these to try and cover the many scars she gained over her imprisonment.
- Aurora has Grimm marking on her cheeks, as well as across her thighs and arms, however they blend in fairly well with her tattoos. The only one that stands out is on the center of her chest, which looks like some kind of symbol.
Role: “To learn to be the most kick ass Huntress Remnant’s ever seen of course! So, yeah, student.”
My team is called: “I don’t know, but I’m sure they’ll be super happy to have me!”
I really like:
- “Well, I absolutely love to dance! It just feels so liberating you know!”
- “I also enjoy just lounging in the hot tub, taking a warm bath. Anything warm really.”
- “Taking walks… I know it seems boring, but it’s just nice to kind of wander ya know?”
- “I love playing with my summons! Wrestling, sparring, pranking others. They’re just the best.”
- “Having Peck around of course! He’s my best buddy!”
- “I love wide open spaces!”
- “Every now and then, I like to try and track down whoever did this to me.”
- “Comedies and adventure flicks are the absolute best.”
- “My tattoos! Aren’t they pretty?”
- “That’s really all for now, but I’m discovering new things I love all the time!”
- “Liars. Fuck em. If you can’t tell it to me straight then don’t waste my time ya know?”
- “Talking about my past. Not really the funnest subject of all time.”
- “I don’t really like being left alone for to long. S’pose that’s why I always keep Peck near me. Isn’t that right Peck?” “Tweet!” “Peck! That’s impolite mister.”
- “I can’t stand being cold. I mean I’ll deal with it, but I won’t be happy.”
- “I don’t enjoy being called a freak or abomination.”
- “I just can’t stand in when the Grimm inside me takes control.”
- “Sometimes I feel like.. I don’t know… I feel like I hear it.. The bad ghost in me. It cries and it shrieks and.. I just want it to stop.”
- “Looking weak.”
- “I enjoy sparring!”
- “New friends, talking with people… Any social interaction really!”
- “Every now and then I just dance. Doesn’t matter where or when. If I’m standing in the Headmasters office and I have the urge to dance, then I’m dancing.”
- “Cozying up next to a fire or flopping into a warm bath. Mmm, nothing better.”
- “Playing with Peck! He’s really good at tag.”
My semblance is: Amiable Apparitions
“It’s kinda neat, I’m able to summon ghosts, at least that’s what they remind me of. They really like me to! When I summon them they just look all pale and see through. They can range from basically any animal I’ve seen to even people! The people look kinda weird though, like they don’t have a face. Creepy, but still friendly!
Generally the stronger and more independent I make an apparition, the more of my Aura it drains. In combat I use them more often than not as distractions to confuse the Grimm dummies, but they have uses outside of combat to! I can make them spar with me whenever I want, carry my books, even dance. Have you ever seen a dancing ghost bunny? It’s adorable. They aren’t really the toughest buddies though, like one and poof, bye bye ghosts! That’s why I always make sure Peck is extra careful when I go out fighting. I like keeping him around, he’s my buddy.
If I want them to really pack a punch though, I use Dust. So far I’ve only been able to use fire on them, but hopefully I’ll be able to use other kinds when after enough practice!”
I can also:
“Well I’m really good at hand to hand combat! Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Judo, heck even boxing are all things I’ve trained with for a long time! I can hit hard, move I’m pretty agile so whatever sap is fighting me doesn’t have the chance to hit back!
Also for some reason when people get angry or scared it makes me feel. Gah, I don’t know the word for it! Good, but not like happy good. Like powerful good. But I hate it, feeding off of others feeling bad. What kind of monster does that, ya know?"
My weapon I use is: The Magic Touch
“Ah, you want to know about these beauties? It doesn’t look like much when you first see it, just some gloves. They actually have a small energy field around them, allowing my punches to pack an extra wallop. I put that on my shoes as well, allowing my kicks to be more effective to a certain extent.
What’s really special about these though is I can insert Dust vials into them! So I can make my punches as tough as a boulder, or even shoot out some flames or electricity! It's a nasty surprise for any sap willing to take me on. They may just be gloves, but they can pack a punch as nasty as any other weapon, and anyone who says otherwise can argue with me in the arena."
I may be strong, but I have my weaknesses:
- Aurora was one of the few successes of the Grimm Project, but she is far from proud of that fact. She tries to suppress the Grimm within her, the “Bad Ghost” as best she can, which limits her abilities.
- On occasion Aurora has severe panic attacks, most often when the “Bad Ghost” begins screaming and yelling at her. She will start to hyperventilate, falling onto her knees, generally screaming or crying. If this were to ever happen in combat she would be completely vulnerable.
- Due to being suppressed, the Bad Ghost will sometimes try to take control of Aurora by force, and if able to do so will react violently to any around her.
- While Aurora has crossbows, she is a rather poor shot as she can’t seem to resist throwing herself into close combat, relishing in bashing her enemies into the ground.
- More may be revealed
Now here is my most exciting backstory, maybe not, not too sure yet:
“Didn’t I say I don’t like talking about this kind of stuff. Ergh, alright fine, it’s fine. I actually remember my childhood before… Before they took me pretty well. I was born to a couple of poor lowlifes in Mistral. I don’t think they ever really wanted a kid, always treated me like I was just some great burden that was forced onto them. Ma always had this angry sneer on her face whenever she looked at me, and Da was to drugged up to notice. The only time I ever saw them truly happy was when they sold me… I can’t really blame them, they were told I’d be given a decent life, better than what they were able to give me.
Course that ended up being the biggest load of bull I’ve ever heard in my life. A bag was placed over my head, I heard men talking around me, an airship. They left me like that for what felt near a full day, maybe longer. I don’t know where they took me, the first thing I saw was the dark, cold cell they tossed me in, and the door slamming shut. I panicked, began hammering against the door, clawing at it, begging for someone to open it up until my hands became bloody… Then they came, and I realized being chained up in that room was a mercy. That’s when it started.
Day after day they would take me to the operating room, inject me with needles, cut me. It all just started to blue together, all I can remember now is the screams, the pain. I managed to listen though, hear what they were trying to do. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t. They were trying to turn me into a Grimm. They were injecting Grimm DNA into me! Beowulf, Ursine Deathstalker. I could feel it burn through my body, but I guess they never took. So they decided to try something different. They got this rare breed of Grimm, one I never heard of until then. A Horror, and when they injected me with its DNA, it took. I could feel the taint take hold in me. I’ve never experienced a pain like that in my life.
Day after day, month after month, year after year they kept experimenting on me, and every day the Bad Ghost grew stronger. But I wouldn’t let him out. I wouldn’t let myself become that… Abomination. Sometimes he got out though, in small ways, saying he just wanted to protect me when they hurt me. Like I would trust some Grimm. I’m not sure how long I went on like that, sitting in a dark room, listening to the Bad Ghost yell and scream at me to let him out. Eventually, I guess when I was 16 he forced himself out. I don’t remember what happened, but when I came to I was in the woods, my hands soaked in blood. Not that I noticed that. For the first time in so many years I was outside. I saw the moon and stars, I felt the fresh air on my scarred skin. It was the most beautiful experience I’ve ever had. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next, I just knew that I’d never let myself be put in that room again.
The only problem was, now that I was free, the Bad Ghost wanted more freedom to, felt he had earned it. I wasn’t about to let that happen. Maybe he broke me out, but he’s still a monster. I’ve done everything I can to keep him shackled since then. I traveled to the city of Vale to try and disappear, did odd jobs as muscle for some shady characters. It wasn’t good work, but it let me survive, and they didn’t ask questions. Apparently the guy I was working for at the time caught the attention of a Huntsman, and he attacked. That was the BEST fight of my life! I mean he kicked my ass, yeah, but it was so exciting! Afterwards I asked how I could become like him, and I guess he saw something in me. Ruffled my hair, picked me up and brought me to meet the Headmaster of Beacon! Apparently it’s a really awesome school! I guess Professor Ozpin liked what I had to offer, cause he let me in! Now I’m training to become a Huntress to kick Grimm ass and protect people.
Music I listen to:
Imagine Dragons-
Demons
Thunder
Believer
Just some other misc. things about me:
- "I never fought with weapons before I was brought into Beacon. Professor Ozpin actually helped me design the Magic Touch, something that complimented my fighting style. He’s really nice."
- "When it’s cold out I like to wear an arctic wolf fur, got it off a wolf I hunted down in the wilds in my first month of freedom. Yeah, I’m an arctic wolf faunus who killed an arctic wolf. The irony isn’t lost on me pal."
- "My earrings were gifts from the Huntsman who got me out of the criminal underground."
- It isn’t known whether or not the ‘Bad Ghost’ is truly malicious, but it seems to be angry at Aurora for keeping it repressed for so long.
- Whenever the Bad Ghosts shrieking gets really bad, Aurora will have Peck sing for her. It helps to dull the pain and drown out the noise
