Alike to a predator, about to pounce on his prey did Ingrid’s bonobo ape daemon leer at you, directly into your own. He was of outstanding strength, about three foot tall and his face was worn with knowledge, sleep and darkness… All too ancient for Ingrid’s fine complexion. You could not help but lock his gaze, his eyes gravitating you inside his soul like black holes.

Supposedly somewhere in South Devon, England. No one really knows exactly where they were born, they sort of just turned up. No birth records but there are rumours that he was a son of a now deceased fishmonger. His birthdate is the 18th of October.

relationship with Zetta: Pax’s relationship with Zetta is turbulent, perhaps from Pax’s internal insecurity. Pax’s fiery temper keeps Zetta on edge, (perhaps this reflects her defensive forms), even though she does her best to defend, nurture and guide him. Despite this, Zetta is willing to shield Pax even though most of the time she disagrees with his rioting personality. Zetta does do her best to take her time with him, she does not take oppressive tyranny from anybody. Their bond is like iron; only melting in the heat of things but keeping it’s raw, strong formation throughout the norm. Pax cannot be too far away from Zetta, unlike an average child’s daemon, Zetta can only be around a metre away from him. She does not explore or investigate, leaning by his side through thick and thin.

Coal black, reflecting an almost dusky grey in the sunlight. It is of medium length, set below his ears scruffily and untidied similar to a crow's nest, it sometimes overlaps his eyes.

Reflecting new shoots of grass in the spring, Pax's eyes are intensely green and they are narrowed slightlyin a semi-pernament frown. His eyebrow are thin and eyelashes surrounding are delicately short.

His skin is a pallor: sickly and perhaps undernourished. Free from blemish.

There is not much at the scholar's sanctuary to stand out in. However, he does try his best to modify and adjust outfits.

Species/appearance: Zetta is unsettled, though she varies in between three main species. Striped skunk, North American porcupine and a black-bellied hamster.
North American porcupine: defence, anger, outwardly uncomfortable.
Striped skunk- Hotheadedness, conflicting identity. Yin and yang; polar opposite personalities. Chemical, hidden defence to warn others off. Black-bellied hamster- Representing loneliness. A black-bellied hamster is naturally solitary. Also represents him being scared deep down and lonely, which can mean tenderness, as hamster's are common pets. Prey item.

His arguments are voiced with pure passion. Conflicting between a vice and a virtue, the fact that he is passionate is determined through ‘never backing down’ from debates, quarrels and disagreements.

Despite being rather insecure, he is a good judge of character through small expressions. Whether that be facial, tone or daemon manners. Though perhaps he is a little instinctive when passing judgement.

Pax’s heart is pure and sweet, though perhaps a little naive.

Zetta doesn't speak too much, in fact she remains somewhat mute, still and observant. Her forms do change with their attitude; she communicates more so with body language. She is cautious; unlike the average child’s daemon, usually embodying animals with high defences such as her porcupine form.
Likes: To dream and imagine. Listening to Pax, soothing him.
Dislikes: Confrontation.

Those eyes where not averge. Stark, intense and fixed, they stared into the depths of the soul, past daemons, past life, past everything. The Great Ape had adjusted himself upward, creeping closer toward Zetta, paying no interest in her human counterpart. Pax kept a firm grip on Zetta's porcupine tail, his hand beginning to bleed whilst he stifled the pain. Oh how she longed to cradle him, warm and soothe him but she herself could not help but be mesermised by the Ape-daemon's courage.
There was little to no interaction toward Ingrid and her daemon. Ingrid was completely in control and Pax's answers formed merely by little shrugs, huffs and nods until it came to the last question. This was no average questionaire but suspecting of something darker. To even consider being apart from Zetta led bile to boil in his stomach. He could never, tears pricked at his eyes as the Bonobo poked his index finger infront of Zetta. A meagre reply of:
"I don't know." was all he could stomach.

There was once a time where Zetta was relaxed, social and outgoing. Her forms consisted of smaller, less perceivably aggressive and submissive animals (such as dogs, rabbits, mice) and curious creatures; (ferrets, marmosets, black headed caique). Something has happened in between that Pax does not talk about or like to indulge in. She is most likely going to be settled as a honey badger, wolverine or her normal form of a striped skunk.

EDIT+NOTES: Characters may be free range and be “inspired” by the rigid roles. The reason why I have closed for now is because I don’t think I can cope with this amount of interest! Jokes aside I am really happy for everyone who is interested and cannot wait to begin the roleplay. Do not panic if your characters are not complete as you may request extension.     Rose is rather small for her age, though her affinity for wearing pastel colors (typically pink or purple) can make her stand out in a dreary city crowd. She has soft, coily hair that she most often keeps in two low puffs.     Hunter is exceedingly quiet, no matter their form. They seem to watch over not just Rose, but the world itself, observing with sharp eyes for what seems dangerous or out of place. The few words he does say tend to be short, blunt warnings or helpful information, sticking to the facts, though he does seem to enjoy watching Rose be creative.
    
    Relationship: Rose and Hunter get along like siblings: bickering occasionally (alright, more than that) but with the unwavering understanding that they have each others’ backs. The way Hunter jumps to Rose’s protection can embarrass her—”I’m not a kid anymore!”—and he has always thought that she is far, far too kind.

    Rose was barely visible from behind a cloud of fur, her anxious eyes darting between the daemon and the strange woman. The bobcat sitting on her lap must have been heavy for such a small girl—but she never looked bothered by him, to the contrary.
    
    “Go ahead, miss.” She straightened herself, preparing, gently petting Hunter until he laid down.
    
    "How long have you been at the College and do you have many friends?”
    
    “It’s been, um…” Rose attempted to count off on her fingers. “A few months? I’m not from here, I’m from Canada. It’s very pretty.” Her eyes drifted to the window of the office, eager to watch the clouds drift by—but she shook herself after a moment, remembering that there was a second part to the question.
    
    “Everyone is friendly here, they’re kind. I’m glad to be here, I feel very lucky to know the kind of people I’m getting to know. We have a lot in common, you know?”
    
    “Do you think you'll be fit for adventure?"
    
    She muttered something nervous-sounding under her breath, her hands fiddling gently with Hunter’s ears. Then, hesitantly: “I don’t have a lot of experience. I haven’t even been on an adventure before!”
    
    “But I think that it’s hard for one person to be ready for such a big journey, miss.” Her gaze flickered up to Ingrid. “I think what’s important is that together with the other kids, I’m ready. We all will be good at different things, and what matters is that as a group, we have what we need to take on anything.”
    
    A smile lit her face up into an almost wistfully excited expression. In the blink of an eye, the heavy bobcat on her lap changed into a small bird, who flew up to perch on her shoulder. Rose seemed unsurprised.
    
    "Describe yourself in three words and give me three reasons why you chose them."
    
    “Only three? That’s hard.” She tilted her head as she thought.
    
    “I like making stuff, clothes and little things to go with them,” Rose gestured to her bracelet, which she had made herself. “So I think I’m artistic.”
    
    “I also don’t have super strong, um…” Her eyebrows furrowed as she searched for the word. “Opinions? Or ideas. Besides the sort of big, moral things, and I like to hear about other people’s experiences, so maybe open-minded.”
    
    The last word came with a small, self-deprecating smile. “And I’m pretty introverted. Not good at talking to people or going to parties.”
    
    She points at your daemon, your soul and smiles cunningly "How far can you travel without your daemon and what do they mean to you?"
    
    At that, Rose’s expression shuttered completely. All Ingrid would be able to tell is that the young girl was extremely nervous, her gaze far-off.
    
    “It’s not going to happen.” Hunter growled in agreement, having shifted back to their feline form almost the instant Rose showed signs of stress. They curled around her shoulders with hackles raised and made unwavering eye contact with the ape.
    
    “No, it can’t happen.” After a moment, she seemed to come back back to herself, though the tension mostly remained. “Sorry. Sometimes when my daemon is a bird, he flies to scout around - but not very far, and I’m used to it. He means a lot to me, miss. We work together, and he’s very good at blending in when he needs to.”

  Lucy can come across as timid to strangers, but she is simply withdraw, afraid of letting her true personality show for fear that it will be ill-received. Until she has a chance of warming up to someone, she remains distant but polite, displaying all the manners that was instilled into her as she grew up. Once she does feel comfortable around someone, Lucy has been shown to be a curious one, never seeming to run out of questions or inquiries. She has a playful demeaner at times, with an adventurous spirit that beckons her into the unknown.
  
  Lucy is fairly decent at masking her emotions, which leads others to believe she is calm and collected but in reality, she is just able to hide how she is truly feeling. A kind-hearted soul by nature, Lucy's empathetic tendencies lead her to lending a helping hand whenever she is able and she is unable to turn away from a person in need of help.

  Lucy sat in the chair with her feet neatly tucked by the legs, her hands resting gently in Kaz's soft fur. He was curled up in her lap in his fox form, nose tucked underneath his tail, looking for all intents and purposes like he was asleep but it was all a front; he was very much aware of the room and what was going on in it. Lucy was nervous, her eyes darting around the room, though she was doing a good job at keeping a polite and calm air as she patiently waited for Ms. Ingrid to speak. When she did, Lucy's spine straightened and her nervous gaze flitted to settle on the woman.
  
  "I have been at the College for a few years now, five I believe. I wouldn't say I have a load of friends, but the other children here are very nice."

  "Do you think you'll be fit for adventure?"

  Lucy gave the woman a soft smile as she gently stroked her fingers over Kaz's head and between his ears. "An adventure? That's sounds exciting. Though I suppose it would depend on what type of adventure it was..." She frowned thoughtfully out the window for a moment before her gaze returned to Ms. Ingrid, a worried shine cast over her blue eyes. "It wouldn't be a dangerous adventure, would it?"

  "Describe yourself in three words and give me three reasons why you chose them."

  Lucy fell silent for several moments as she mulled the woman's question over and over in her mind. "I think...I would describe myself as patient," She said after a couple moments of thought, "I learned how to play the violin you know and I wasn't very good at it at first, but I didn't give up, so yes, I think patient is a good word to describe myself."
  
  "Motherly is another word that comes to mind, though the other children might call it 'smothering'." She said, a small smile spreading across her face as she let out a light laugh. "I like making sure others are taken care of, though often times I neglect to take care of myself, but thankfully I have Kaz to remind me." One slender finger gently booped the foxes nose at the statement, his ears flickering at the motion though he made no other signs of movement.
  
  "Kind. That's another word I would use to describe myself, I think. We're able to choose who we want to be, so I choose to be kind; the world has enough evil in it, there needs to be some kind of balance."

  "How far can you travel without your daemon and what do they mean to you?"

  Lucy jolted slightly at the question, an alarmed expression blooming across her face before it was swiftly locked away behind her calm façade once more. Kazimir, who had otherwise not moved throughout the entirety of this interview now raised his head, sharp golden eyes boring holes into Ms. Ingrid and her Daemon. He was still, Lucy's alarm having put him on edge, his gaze tracking every movement the woman and her Daemon made.
  
  Lucy smiled, a strained expression as she tried to cover up how bothered the question had made her. "Kaz means everything to me, he is my soul after all." Her fingers buried themselves in the scruff of Kaz's fur in an attempt to ground the both of them. It was okay, they were okay; no one was coming to hurt them or take Kaz away, they were safe.
  
  "Sometimes Kaz will explore in his flying form, but he doesn't go very far from me; we have no reason to be far apart after all." Kaz huffed in agreement as he slowly lowered his head back to Lucy's lap, eyes still open and alert. "Were there anymore questions?" Lucy asked in a polite tone, wanting nothing more than for the interview to be over.

  The chaos to Lucy's calm, Kazimir is as wild and sharp as the animals whose forms he takes. Witty and quick, Kazimir represents the mischievous side that Lucy hides away, unafraid to say what he is thinking. He keeps Lucy grounded and reminds her that it is okay to set aside her worries every once in a while and just have fun. He supports her when she is doubting herself and he calms her when her insecurities bubble to the surface. However, just because he may act carefree, that does not mean he would not fiercely protect Lucy. Though it is a rare occasion, Kazimir is fully capable of showing a more serious side that is all sharp eyes and bared teeth if Lucy were to ever fall into danger.

Delwyn has always felt as though she were half-tethered to this world, the other half drifting someplace just out of reach. No matter how far she stretched her hands, her fingers only barely grazed something whole. Her mind is fractured, split into too many parts all thinking and acting for themselves. Too many voices asking too many questions, she doesn't have the heart to tell them all to stop and slow down. After all, there is only so much time and far too much to explore. She is not always present in her world, sometimes in search of that other half. Love acts as an anchor, bringing her home on the worst of days.

Delwyn fills the missing parts of her heart with others, someone gentle here and someone more forthright there. If she wants a friend, she seeks them out and not always in the most welcomed of places.

Name: Lovlyn or "Love"

Dark gray and a white splotchy undertone. Pale yellow eyes. A deep rumbling voice, like distant thunder and heavy skies. If Love were an actual wolf, he would have the appearance of a juvenile, smaller and more lithe than a fully grown adult.

Love settled young. Delwyn knew what she wanted, saw it as clear as a summer’s day, something warm and caring and deceptively sharp. Love is a wanderer, in pursuit of greener pastures. Comfortable around family, devoted and playful even. He is observant, wild, and unabashedly himself. As starry-eyed as one might perceive Delwyn to be, Love shows another side. One with the courage to stand their ground and bare their teeth, tear at the throats of those that would threaten violence upon them and theirs.

Love is the more cautious of the two. He keeps Delwyn wary of strangers and safe. Though he feeds off of the personalities around him and can easily be swept up into a frenzy of emotions, he can be reasoned with and more helpful in tense situations.

Delwyn was nicknamed Sunshine or Sunny. It is Love's name for her.

Ms. Ingrid

Though excited to meet new people, Delwyn does not readily accept newcomers into her family, intruders even less so. Ingrid sits in Scholar Briar’s chair and reads his books and it makes Delwyn bristle. Her questions left a bad taste in Delwyn’s mouth, something sickening and sour. She is more tense around Ingrid, distrustful but willing to follow if it means the freedom to explore the world beyond.

Delwyn's heart aches for him. Though he might have been distant from her, she had come to know Brair as something of a father figure. He brought her into his family and provided her shelter. As confining as the Sanctuary walls were, they were familiar, they were home.

"How long have you been at the College and do you have many friends?"

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, Delwyn cradled Love's head in her lap, watching his eyes drift heavily from one side of the room to the other. Pushing up his jowls on either side, Delwyn imitated a small growl, "Grr." With a smile she let him go and smoothed a hand over the soft spot between his ears. Delwyn raised her head to look around and startled at seeing Ms. Ingrid and her nameless bonobo Daemon. "I'm sorry. What?"

"Do you think you'll be fit for adventure?"

"Life's an adventure, Ms. Ingrid. I would surely hope I'm fit for it."

"Describe yourself in three words and give me three reasons why you chose them."

Delwyn's eyes widened. "But there are so many, all more grand than the next." Quiet for a moment, Delwyn thought hard. "Yellow, because of my hair and Love's eyes… And our sunny disposition," she added. Smiling down at Love, she winked and tapped a finger along her chin. "Mm, serendipitous. I don't know what it means, but I read it in a book and found it pretty," she explained. Delwyn suddenly yawned, covering her mouth with one hand.
