History: Abandoned by French authorities following the collapse of the gold standard global economy, and cut off entirely from the rest of the world following the initial harvests of lux crystals that resulted in lux sickness bringing humanity to the precipice of anarchy and extinction, the future of the colony of Madagascar was dim. In this power vacuum, the newly formed Council of Communes emerged. Undertaking a bloodless socialist revolution, it restored order on the isle where there was lawlessness. For reasons unknown to this day, lux crystals thrive in the continent of Africa like nowhere else. Taking advantage of its newfound wealth in resources, the Commune of Africa became a self-sufficient agrarian focused economy.

Military: One corvette composes the navy. It patrols the seas around Madagascar and South Africa. A power armored infantry division (hero unit) is all that there is of the army.

Lanfang Republic

History
With the collapse of the gold standard economy, the European powers had been severely weakened, especially in their colonies. Hakka intellectuals living within Kalimantan immediately saw this as an opportunity to revive the Lanfang Republic, which has been conquered by the Dutch decades ago, and they revolted. Unable to put down the rebellion, the Dutch suffered defeat after defeat until eventually the rebels controlled all of Dutch Borneo. Now that the island is free from the Dutch, the newly independent Lanfang set it's sights on British Borneo, viewing it as a threat to its security. An expedition northwards was dispatched, and the weak British garrison was easily overcame. This victory, coupled with the defeat of the Dutch earlier, created a great sense of national pride within the Lanfang. As the European powers gradually abandoned their colonies, the Lanfang began taking advantage of such a trend and set up colonies in Malaya. The recent acquisition of Hainan is also viewed with pride by the citizens of the republic.

The Lanfang Republic is pretty progressive for it's time period. The government strives to eliminate all traces of racism and sexism, and is beginning to take steps to recognize the peculiar communities as well. The republic also takes pride of it's multiracial population and unique cultural heritage, as demonstrated by the composition of the cabinet itself, where capable people are recognized regardless of race.

History: Each of the Finnscandia nations, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, have had their own separate histories, intertwined throughout all their pasts. However, as each country grew, one thing was determined, without each of the other members of the group, none of them would have made it as a nation. Eventually all the countries united, as allies. Pretty soon, that evolved, and each of them adopted a universal monetary system, the Finnish Markka was adopted by the other three nations. At that point in time, the plan to unite all of the nordic states under one flag, was drawn up. They first sailed to Iceland, established settlements there, before moving on, and bringing in a huge part of Greenland as well. Currently the union consists of Finland, Norway, Iceland, the eastern side of Greenland, as well as the hospitable lands of Sweden.

History: Upon the collapse of the markets, knowing there would be no opposition, the Polish people seized the opportunity to proclaim independence from their former oppressors. Dariusz Kaczmarski, famous figure head during the scramble for independence, led the militia armies, establishing order and repelling what little resistance existed in the region. He was not alone however as many other Polish leaders attempted to do the same and seize control over the area for themselves. Dariusz was able to unify the polish during the Battle For Poland, located at Warsaw, where he defeated an opposing Polish force whom fought for a communist Poland. With a Polish people united militarily, Dariusz proclaimed the new Polish Kingdom with him at the helm, formally renaming himself Kazimierz Kaczmarski, King of the new Poland. This was not enough for him however and upon hearing of a Lithuanian state close to formation, sent the army to take control. The war ended swiftly during the Battle Of Vilnius, where Kazimierz routed the opposing Lithuanians. When peace was called, the Lithuanians refused out right annexation. After debates from both sides, they agreed to a union of the two peoples, officially restoring the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, however anti-Polish sentiment exists within the Lithuanian people as they do not recognize the union as legitimate. Kazimierz now has his sights to restore what he considers the Commonwealth proper and beyond.

Government Form: Constitutional Monarchy. The ruling houses, at current just Poland and Lithuania, take the role of a ruling body, however the Polish leader has exclusive right to veto other house decisions. A Sejm then exists to regulate the ruling houses. Each 'Kingdom' within the Commonwealth elect five officials to join the Sejm, elections taking place every five years for each Kingdom. The Sejm have the ability to veto ruling houses on legislative matters, and create their own legislation, while ruling houses manage military and foreign affairs.
