Starting Plot

In the year 2654, Eranynian scientists developed a mineral, which they called Amitite. It's purpose was military in nature, as it contained an immense amount of energy to power mechanical entities. Thus, the creation of Amitite led to the development and usage of Oracles, robotic vehicles. Immediately, the Eranyne Empire sought to utilize Oracles as means of winning the various wars that challenged their rule. In the span of twenty years, the Eranyne Empire controlled over half the world due to their efficient and deadly use of the Oracles. War encouraged other countries to find a method of creating Amitite, and so an arms race occurred in order to stop the expansion of Eranyne, resulting in the easy attainment of destructive power. The conquered territories viewed Eranyne's reign as one of unfair consequences, thus many wanted to regain their freedom, which meant a use for this new mass production of Amitite. As a result, a multitude of terrorist groups popped up in order to display their frustrations about the Empire's rule. One such terrorist group was dubbed the High Tides.

The year of 2683 and the day, March 18th, started out ordinary, with students excited to graduate into their next year at the Barton Academy. The Academy was located in the city of Jumlie, and it hosted a variety of unique students who either lived alone, or with their family. March 18th was only a month before the graduation of Barton Students. Unfortunately, a horrible event occurred preventing the academy from hosting its graduation ceremony. For military reasons, an EMF soldier shot and killed a teacher, who was later recognized as a member of the terrorist organization known as the High Tides. Chaos spurred in the school, and a unique flying craft appeared in the skies of Barton Academy. What will the students do?

Turn 1

In a classroom taught by a psychology teacher, the students yawned with boredom, and barely any were attentive, since this particular teacher, Mrs. Yanneth, led her classroom with long speeches, no questions, and an unflavored Power Point that reeked of bland design. It wasn't any surprise that the students would lazily follow their teacher's teachings. Then, out of nowhere, a gunshot frightened the students, causing many to jump up out of their chairs, and cover their ears. Quickly, Mrs. Yanneth, a brunette, and fairly small in stature, yelled at her students to cower underneath their school desks. She too hid, awaiting orders from the intercom in order to aid her students survival, after she turned off the lights.

Meanwhile, at an Oracle engineering program taught by Mr. Olavynch, a tall, but old man, who wore glasses due to his poor sight, heard the alarm and gunshot, which unfortunately gave the teacher a heart attack, as he fell to the ground unconscious. The students, unsure what to do, either fled the classroom, or cowered underneath their seats. The mini Oracle designs laid scatted in a now dark class room, emitting a somewhat horror like scene. Some of the students attempted to revive the teacher, but the man seemed dead, as their attempts to awaken Mr. Olavynch were unsuccessful.

After reports of a gunshot in Barton Academy, the Eranyne Military Force was quickly mobilized and sent to investigate the situation, as several rumors stated that the High Tides Terrorist organization caused the gunshot. Two military officials, Harrier Grimond, an Oracle Pilot, and Nyala Periech, were sent alongside several other military personnel. They rode on an EMF military truck alongside several other military vehicles which carried Oracles, weaponry, and troops. The roadways that led to Barton Academy were clear, and the military could savor the calm, bland view of simple sunlight, light clouds, an empty road, and a plethora of buildings occupied by Jumlie citizens who feared to leave their shelter. An hour after the reports, and about two hours after the gunshot, the EMF had made their way to Barton Academy, and they immediately mobilized in order to secure the threat. Their base operations would be outside of Barton Academy for intelligence and Oracle preparation, while scouts would head into the main gates, which led to Barton Academy's central plaza.

The gunshot was reported by a High Tides member to commander Tatankoch, the leader of the High Tides. As a result, he ordered the rescue of his subordinate by commanding his air craft, better known as, High Ride to the scene. He would commence operations above Barton Academy, while utilizing only a few scouts and Oracles. The commander ordered several individuals: Harlock Winthrop, William Rundell Shade, and others to make their way to the command room. Upon everyone showing up, Tatankock told his crew, "Rescue Porter at all costs. She has vital information about the EMF. You all are dismissed. Head to your positions immediately." A short, concise briefing as usual from the commander, but it didn't portray any vague understanding to the crew, since they all had known this particular day would result from Porter's mission. The pilots and infantry would head to the Oracles, which contained floats for flying purposes. Everyone had known they were outnumbered, but they all had a duty to uphold, to rescue Porter at all costs for that was their current Divi Connect.

During the time the troops mobilized, students were in disarray, as they never received any call from the principal. They listened to their teachers, or left to find an escape on their own. Either way, the school grounds were on locked down, and no one could escape without outside intervention. And then, the first shots and bombs resonated within Barton Academy. The battle had begun. The EMF's base of operations had been bombed by the High Ride, an air craft in the skies. Fortunately, the base was fortified to withstand a few bombings, and so the EMF proceeded with their assault, now that the enemy was visible. Before the EMF assault began, an odd order was made by the current General of operations, "Do not worry about civilian causalities. Your order is to eliminate any potential terrorist threat." This message was made via digital communication to EMF troops.

With the High Tides and EMF mobilized, the students would quickly find themselves on the battlefield. Unnecessary death and bloodshed would seem to occur, all over one woman, Porter.

Missions

High Tides: Rescue Porter. Porter's whereabouts within the School. Reports indicate Science Wing.
EMF: Kill any High Tides troops. Locate the perpetuator of the gunshot. Kill, or rescue students?
Students: Escape school grounds. Join up with EMF, High Tides, or remain neutral.

Nyla was outside the little operations camp in the outskirts of the academy a little bored and mostly disgusted at the terror attempt. 'don't worry about civilian causalities' they said 'order is to eliminate all potential terrorists' they said. If they didn't really care about the students they would've just bombed the academy until there was glass left, so it was obvious that they'd rather have the civvies alive. Nyla, staring at the academy from the camp. Pulled up a map of the school's layout on her oracle taking in the various hallways and rooms any avenue of attack that would leave her and her team unnoticed would be best. "Grimond, how are you on foot?" She had read his dossier before, he hasn't actually been into any serious conflict yet and most of his experience as been through training. She didnt know much about his skills outside of piloting so she was hesitant on sending him in, perhaps she could send a team toward the oracle engineering hanger. There shouldn't be to many opposition there and he could stay safe inside his oracle.

Then taking another glance at the map perhaps they could use their oracles as shields for the foot-soldiers that would be going in the clear the place, the oracles wouldnt be of too much use inside so they'd be good at keeping people in and providing seige on the academy. Why were the terrorists even assaulting an academy? It didnt make sense, Academic kids are less likely to join some stupid rebellion against half the world than the poorer easier targets. Even then they wouldve done a better job just simply recruiting there, its not like the students and staff were locked in there forever. So why an Academy? Sighing she almost felt empathy for the children inside, probably cowering in fear.

(im guessing high tides somehow have air superiority? (they have an aircraft but the empire's air force isnt responding?) also can i get a picture or a description of the academy and how high the high tide's aircraft is)

Harlock strapped himself into this Oracle. It was finally time for combat. This area was secluded, however, he felt it was too close to enemy forces. It was going to be a tough battle. He began to run system checks as they prepared to launch him. Of course his landing wasn't going to be easy. Right now he wished for a flight system. Oh wait his uniform! He quickly checked his uniform straightening out his coat. Ah, to disguise his person, he pulled on some googles. Yes a good steampunk. His system was cleared and he was launched out with a float. He dropped out his gun primed with a special for his dear EMF opponents. He shot it out promptly towards the gathering EMF. It was a disruption/ speaker blaring his theme song for the battle. It would act as a loud speaker and also jam up their systems with his song.

Well now it actual fighting time. He switched to his regular ammunition. Not time to reveal all his surprises now was it. He began to lay down suppression fire on the EMF using scattering blasts.

Vivian Astris dutifully took down notes in her notebook. Just about everyone else was bored out of their minds, but Vivi didn't mind Mrs. Yanneth's uncreative teaching methods. Vivi was quite capable of keeping up and getting the most out of the class, and the teacher was adorable if nothing else. Suddenly, a gunshot rung out through the air, and in moments half the class was out of their seats and about to panic. The teacher swiftly took control of the situation and ordered everyone to duck under their desks before shutting off the lights and hiding.

Vivi immediately did as she was told and slowly began to process what had happened. Despite everyone's assurances Barton Academy, and by extension Jumlie, was safe, something violent had occurred. Vivian took a deep breath. She wasn't sure what was going to happen next, but she needed to keep a clear head. A few minutes passed what felt like an eternity for all the students terrified that this might be the end for all of them before an all call sounded throughout the school.

"Attention students of Barton Academy. Please remain calm and do not leave your classrooms. This is not a drill. At this time we are not able to disclose the reason for the gunshot you all heard, but please be aware it is being taken care of. I repeat, remain calm, do not leave your classrooms. Further information will be announced when made available"

And with that the voice on the intercom stopped speaking. The students began nervously whispering to each other. To anyone who could hear them. It was almost instinctual. They should have remained quiet, but even when they might be in danger they couldn't help it. Some of them suggested leaving while they had the chance, reasoning that this might be a deranged student with a gun and escape might be the best option. Vivi held her silence. The most logical thing would be to stay put, she thought to herself. No point in endangering anyone's lives on faulty reasoning. What might have been an hour passed before the students heard from the intercom again.

"Attention students of Barton Academy. You will all be relieved to hear this update. Military personnel are being mobilized now. There is reason to believe this is the result of terrorist activity. Do not worry. The military will handle everything. For your safety, continue to remain in your classrooms until the military arrives and leads you all to the outside. I repeat, evacuation will begin soon. Do not do anything reckless."

Vivi sighed. Whoever it was on the intercom wasn't very bright. They shouldn't have said anything about terrorists, and definitely shouldn't have told them not to be reckless. The whispers of her fellow students started to get angry. Certainly the majority was still afraid, but some of them, mostly the boys who sat in the far back, were starting to get restless. From what she could catch from where she hid, Vivi heard one of them say "Oi, why should we just let terrorists reck up our school?", to which the boys around the speaker nodded. It looked like they were going to try to leave and take things into their own hands. "Oh geez, I really hope they don't get themselves killed..." Vivian sighed.

Nyla responded back to the sudden oracle suppressive fire with fire of her own. "Enemy has oracles! i repeat! enemies have oracles! Take cover!" She piloted her oracle to cover while still firing back. Once they stopped firing she stopped as well opening her pilots compartment to get a better look of the situation. It was a good thing their liberation of the school didn't start or else that little surprise they had would've killed some of the footsoldiers, and loosing soldiers wasn't a good way of getting promoted, luckily they hadn't. "someone hand me a loudspeaker!" after a few seconds of dabbling about one of the cadets found one and handed it to her. "ATTENTION TERRORISTS." she started. "YOU ARE SURROUNDED. THROW YOUR ARMS AWAY AND SUMMIT, OR YOUR LIVES ARE FORFEIT." She stopped and cleared her throat for a few seconds then started again. "ALL SCHOOL STAFF AND TEACHERS, PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR ROOMS FOR YOUR SAFETY, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO OUT." She had given orders to everyone to shoot anyone in the hallways and near/on the school campus earlier so she hoped that was enforced. Not that it mattered of course, they could always blame every death on the blasted terrorists. But for now, they know that the enemy had oracles and that information was invaluable. It was a peculiar thing. To invest so many resources and such time into a person that you would risk everything was strange to him. William was only experienced in risking everything for some kind of profit, the illusions of love had long since eluded him since his little family spat. But apparently love wasn't quite the factor in play here with today's mission. An insider was requesting a rescue to which those in the High Tides had to assist, thrilling.

Sighing dramatically, William turned from the group to stride off to his workshop. Well, it was less of a workshop and more of a mad scientist's laboratory, but no one had questioned him on it thus far. Donning a fancy rouge blazer and his fashionable glasses, he then turned to his assembly desk. The Commander had been awfully kind enough to allow him this work space to continue his various... projects. A few prototypes of this and that lay about, but his pride and joy took the central stand. The KS-16 Delta, a small revolver-type pistol that contained 20 shots in a barrel. The small size was made possible due to each chamber being ridiculously small, only able to fit a single dart each. Of course that was all he needed, for a whole rack of darts lay on the table behind him. Beside them were test tubes and beakers of all manners of chemicals and liquids.

Taking a few binders of darts marked with 'z.z.z.' and a few with a stop sign on them and a few with a skull and crossbones on them, William cocked the tube gun and slotted it into a special holster in his pocket, along with all the darts into another strapped to his leg. With that being done, he picked up his communicator and stepped out of his workshop. Making his way down the hall, William pointed at four men suited up for combat.

"You, you, you and you will be coming with me." He continued past them, walking down to the Oracle hanger. Approaching a set of basic Oracle models, William gestured the men at them.

"We will be conducting the ground rescue into the school, so I want you all on your best behaviour. Try not to kill our target unless I say so or I'll have to pump you full of chemicals until your arms fall off." With that said, William gave them a collective nasty smirk before jumping up the stairway to his Oracle, hopping into the cabin and closing the door hatch. Powering up the systems, he couldn't help but giggle slightly at the mission ahead. William had said not to kill the target, but hadn't said anything about the EMF or the students attending the school. Collateral was all part of the job anyway, he was sure the EMF soldiers knew that more than anyone. He guessed they had orders not to mind the civilians, which meant hostages weren't going to be particularly helpful.

Once the systems were fully operational, William signalled the comms operator the 'all-go' signal. A clamp above him released the mech and the giant metallic figure was sent plummeting down below. Seconds later, the float kicked in and levelled the Oracle steadily. Not a moment later, four identical Oracles descended from the the airship behind William, weapons at the ready. Speaking into the Oracle's communicator, William's excitement was almost tangible to the rest of the squad.

"Come now, gentleman! History has yet to be made and our enemies have yet to be slain! There shall be no mercy, no restraint. Just pure, undying, ceaseless - FUN!" Eyes lit up like fireworks, William's Oracle was sent forward at great speed, spiralling down dangerously towards the academy with maneuvers that would break most rules in an Oracle Flight Handbook (trademark), but his patience had run thin. William hadn't seen any action for a long time, it had been nothing more than political garbage for a while now, so he was more than prepared to throw his life on the line if it meant high reward. That was what he was all about after all.

Coming to abrupt stop merely metres above the ground to then land as gracefully as an Oracle could manage, The Black Gambler stepped out off of his mighty steed into the battlegrounds with which he would prove himself. He was pretty wanted by the EMF and there was even a civilian reward out for his capture or death, so he had to make sure he didn't fail. Not that he ever really did. As his four man entourage landed and exited their Oracles, William waved a hand to call them over.

"Righteo! We'll be going through this back entrance here, which will place us right smack in the middle of all the classes. I don't want the EMF to corner me, so I'll have you meat shields stick with me, okay?" William was all smiles as the other man sent unsteady glances at each other.

"So we're here to make sure you don't die?"

"Essentially, yes. Good for you for keeping up!" William grinned again before turning. It was off into the school for them, they had a rescue mission to do.

Dorian and his men were the first on campus, as First Recon had that privilege. Silence reigned supreme in the ornate halls of this place of higher learning. The Place disgusted the First Lieutenant. To him and many others he grew up with, Higher learning was reserved for those who were willing to lay their lives on the line for the Empire. Turning to his second, he simply nodded before barking out orders. "Secure the area! Any civilian spotted outside the classrooms are to be considered enemies of the empire. Kill if forced. But try to capture them for further interrogation. Move out!" The grizzled veteran barked, drawing his chainsword. Taking a moment, he adjusted his peaked cap, the Lt and his remaining entourage continued their careful search. That was when they heard on the loudspeaker from outside the terrorists had stolen some Oracles. "Traitorous bastards... May they die a slow death..."

Calling over an officer, he swiftly took the comms unit from him before patching through to Lt. Peirch and co. "This is first Lieutenant Blackwood of the First Recon Mobile Infantry. Keep those terrorist bastards out of the academy. My men and I are currently inside doing a sweep. Please confirm." Dorian said into the unit, broadcasting to all friendly troops.

Harrier sat in the cockpit of his Oracle, hands constantly adjusting and readjusting his grip on the controls. This was his first real mission since officially becoming a pilot, and it had even a stoic man like him twitching anxiously. Not because he was scared of dying, or getting shot, or even failing his fellow soldiers; he was anxious because he was finally getting real field experience and didn't know if his training had been thorough enough. Harrier had graduated top of his class, and even then he didn't think his abilities were up to snuff—if he was going to be the best Oracle pilot on the planet, it'd take a lot more than good training.

"Grimond, how are you on foot?"

The sudden crackle of Harrier's comms snapped him from his thoughts. He recognized the voice on the other end right away; it was Nyala Pierch, his newest CO. He didn't know much about her, other than that she was dedicated, experienced, and fiercely ambitious—the type of person Harrier could easily fall in step behind.

"Not great, Ma'am," Harrier responded without hesitation. "I can hold my own, but I didn't receive nearly as much ground training as a typical infantryman. If you need extra boots on the ground, though, I'm—"

A sudden and painfully loud burst of static cut Harrier off mid-sentence as High Tide began its attack, with the first pilot down boldly, but only temporarily, jamming the EMF's communications while loudly blaring some kind of song over a loudspeaker. A cheap scare tactic used by a weak force against what it knew to be a vastly superior army, as far as Harrier was concerned.

"Grimond, your time to shine." Nyla's voice ordered him as Harrier's comms buzzed back to life.

"Yes Ma'am!" Harrier switched his Oracle out of its idling state and charged onto the school grounds, several other EMF Oracles following suit. He was immediately peppered with gunfire from High Tide's Oracles and took cover, peeking about only to get a headcount.

"I count five...make that six Oracles, all Mark Ones of the current model. No eyes on any ground troops." That made things easier; Harrier's Mark Two Oracle was significantly better armored than High Tides' Oracles and came equipped with thrusters for superior mobility. Harrier figured they would be relatively easy pickings as he returned fire, firing off several short bursts at the Oracle that was blaring music.

"This is first Lieutenant Blackwood of the First Recon Mobile Infantry. Keep those terrorist bastards out of the academy. My men and I are currently inside doing a sweep. Please confirm."

"Sounds like our Recon team is still in there. What are your orders, Ma'am?"

Nyla gave the prodigy some covering fire until the squad with him blocked her view of the terrorists, "Good luck and stay alive, the last thing i need are more loyal pilot deaths." When she got contacted by this 'first recon mobile infantry' first she wondered why a specialist unit would be out here of all places and not at the frontlines, or behind enemy lines doing some, recon. Second she was infuriated upon the information, did they really think she couldnt handle this alone? There were already two officers but now a whole new outfit? She was really getting a headache. "Affirmative Lieutenant Blackwood a relief to have you here, we haven't sent infantry into the school however my men have it surrounded and i have a little prodigy in the campus to handle the hostile oracles." She then switched over to Grimond's squad-only comms. "Focus on the oracles, pay attention to your IFF and if favorable take out any other enemy presences. More immortantly be cauious we dont know the exact number of enemy oracles there are." Six oracles, what kind of terrorist organization has this many? not to mention that aircraft above head.

Shutting her cockpit Nyla looked back. "Infantry assault squads on me! 2nd squadron on me! the rest make sure no one gets out! godspeed!" She then turned toward the campus and moved forward. Grimond's first wave shouldve taken most of the enemies defenses and attention of the whole terrorist cell. "Assaulting the campus! Blackwood advise caution when leaving a building! its going to get dicey out here." She played with the thought of 'accidentally' killing her new comrade in stripes on the field and blaming it on the terrorist but that was definitely against conduct and she wasn't one to break it. Maybe have the terrorists pin him down and not offer support? These were of course entertaining thoughts, her competition would be an annoyance but she will come out on top.

"Affirmative. I'll send a couple of sharp shooters your way, help take the pressure off you" Dorian replied pointing to two of his retinue and gestured for them to go. "Keep them off our Oracles as best you can. And if possible, take out the terrorist pilots. Show them what happens when you steal from the empire." He said to his two snipers, before they took off to fulfill their orders. With only one soldier remaining with him, the two continued their sweep. It wasn't long before, some resistance was met, only to be ended with blood curdling screams of agony along with the sounds of whirling teeth and flesh being shredded. "I love the blood of my enemies in the morning."

True to his word, two first recon snipers took up positions on the roof and began picking off targets that got to close to the oracles with deadly efficiency.

Harlock sighed. Straight into the fire. The fire was withering, terribly so. His shield were taking a beating but he was almost down on the school building. He switched his gun to regular fire and began to attack the oracles coming out. Then he hit the ground inside the school ground. From here out he need to decide. What the heck was he supposed to do? Abandon his oracle?

His target wasn't completely clear and he'd have to worry about ground units. He began to scan the area and spotted infantry in his sights. Well hello mama. He selected a mini-missile, locked and fired.

Inside Mrs. Yanneth's classroom, students either fled the scene, or remained underneath their seats. Silent tears dropped, and some students entered a state of panic. Those who remained calm and diligent to their orders from the intercom seemed reasonably prepared for further orders. However, Mrs. Yanneth, the role model to her students on how to act, portrayed herself in a manner of chaotic horror. She lacked the drive to comfort her students, and she was ready to escape the classroom herself. Her human instincts started to reveal the coward that resided within her. After all, she only taught in this academy, because she was paid well, and she only had one job, to repeat the same material over and over again to her students. Then, something new happened, while the students worried for themselves upon hearing the bombs and guns, someone opened the door with ease, as the prior students that fled the classroom, left it open for all, and Mrs. Yanneth was too scared to lock the door. The individual that entered wore glasses, carried a suitcase, and wore an unusual set of exotic clothing, almost as if she were not of this world. Blood dripped from her exotic clothes, and many students were shocked by her sudden appearance. The sight of blood had caused some remaining students to break out into a frantic scream.

After eyeing the unsettling nature of the woman drenched in blood, Mrs. Yanneth screamed, "Ahhhhh!" The woman responded to everyone's screams calmy, "Listen everyone," she took out a gun, "you there, teacher," she now pointed the gun at Mrs. Yanneth's horrified face, "hand me your keycard." Mrs. Yanneth was too shocked to act, so the woman in glasses pointed the gun at a nearby student, Vivian Astris. Although the woman looked as if she were in pain, she spoke with confidence, "Kid, get me her keycard."

Mr. Olavynch laid in silence, as no one could help the poor teacher. He was certainly dead, as his heart beat presented no pulse. Unfortunately, he died in shock, and his eyes were open in an almost confused state. The remaining students decided to ditch the class, after realizing their teacher was dead in order to help themselves with their own predicament. As the students fled in groups, or alone, those that remained thought the event surreal. They hid under their desks, making no noise, and believing themselves already dead. Their dreams of becoming Oracle Pilots were lost to them. Even their own Principal lacked the ability to confirm them, for the intercom system shut down due to EMF jamming interface. Then, an EMF soldier equipped in the typical military attire entered the classroom with a gun in his hand.

The man walked as if he were prepared to shoot. He shouted his words at the students, "Students of classroom 3B-102, if you wish to live, I shall grant your wish. The Terrorist scum has hidden themselves in these very schools." With that statement, he coughed a little, as if some disease struck him while standing. He shrugged it off and continued with his dialogue, "I need your -ack-," more coughing escaped his lips, and he was unable to finish his sentence. The students were confused on the matter, and then they screamed, since the man fired several rounds randomly at Mr. Olavynch's deceased corpse. The man spoke, "Die terrorist scum. You're one of them, you son of a gun." The man dropped his weapon, and then proceeded to stand over Mr. Olavynch. The man picked up the body, and he punched Mr. Olavynch's face multiple times, until Mr. Olavynch's face was raw. Clearly, the soldier contained some form of insanity.

Outside of the main school building was a small army of EMF ground troops alongside several Oracles. The bombing that occurred from above had damaged a few military troops and vehicles near the operations base, but overall, those inside school grounds remained unharmed by the High Tides' surprise bomb attack. However the sudden thud followed by the sound of explosions encouraged many students and teachers to panic. Fortunately, Nyla's orders on the academy's populace influenced them to remain inside, as they feared the war outside.

A squad of troops moved forward to the campus' entrance led by Nyla. Harrier, an Oracle pilot, was at the front of the group, while Nyla was suppressing fire from behind. One High Tides' Oracle was behind Nyla's squad focused on limiting the enemy's rapid movement to the entrance, while the other High Tide's Oracle was in in the front focusing on Harrier's Oracle. They weren't successful, since Nyla's squad managed to move quickly due to their large size and well structured discipline. However, the two Oracles acted as a great distraction, since another Hide Tides' terrorist was able to launch a surprise mini missile to kill a few ground troops.

The one who caused such destruction was none other than Harlock, who was atop of a school building. The EMF snipers stationed around Dorian would take notice of Harlock's Oracle's appearance.

Harrier's Oracle was presented at the front of Nyla's squad. His job was to prevent Harlock's Oracle's movement, however, another Oracle owned by the High Tides slowed Harrier from his chase. As a result, Harrier was faced with fending off the High Tides' Oracle who'd attacked the group from the front. Despite the lack of manpower from the High Tides, they seemed to have planned this scenario out well, as if they'd known the potential positioning of EMF troops for this little skirmish. If only the EMF brought their aircraft here at first, they'd have a potential counter in place against the High Tides aircraft. Unfortunately, the air was in the High Tides' hands for now.

William's Recon team traveled a different path, the backdoor. Compared to the front entrance, it lacked any form of significance to the EMF, as the various amounts of trees and buildings that scattered the back presented a problem for their movement. In general, the EMF lacked the initiative, as it was long after William's team entered the building that the EMF sent some of their Oracles and troops to surround the backways. Before Nyala's squad fully surrounded the buildings of Barton Academy, William's Recon Team busied themselves searching for Porter.

Kloudy Kloudy

At the Base of Operations, the bombing that occurred caused the bases resources to focus on defense, rather than offense. They utilized their Oracles for bomb suppression, rather than sending their full fleet to surround the school, meaning they only sent in a portion of their troops to deal with the dilemma. The General and Sergeant were located at the topmost floor of the large military vehicle baring similarity to a mobile tank.

On their floor, they spoke at great lengths with each other on how to deal with their mission. They watched intensely as Nyala's forces were bombed and attacked, which prompted them to send a few troops in as reinforcements. However, they couldn't afford to send a large amount of reinforcements due to the above threat in the form of the High Tides' aircraft.

At the topmost floor, General Rikdeth bickered with his council, "I cannot earn any honor, if I'm to wait in here. I already sent the troops to deal with the issue, but it pains me that I won't aid my own countrymen. The orders I have previously given are absolutely heartless." The council responded in silent nods, while only Rikdeth's trusty Sergeant spoke, "You did well General. You gave the order, and now we won't have to worry about potential threats. The small price of a school is a worthy sacrifice to eliminate terrorists. Now, I understand it pains you to not go out, but we need to ensure your safety." Rikdeath sighed at his Sergeant's response, before stating, "You're right Sergeant Mvklousey. However, my safety means little, if my own soldiers are facing difficulty beyond me. Our tank's defenses are formidable enough that I should be allowed to leave. As this fleet's general, I order myself to fight." However, Rikdeth's motivation disappeared when Mvklousey provided his influential words, "Listen, General Rikdeth. You want to become Emperor one day, correct? Then, we must secure knowledge on the High Tides' forces. The men may die, but they provide a resource to you and me, information." And with that the council watched the events unfold via a screen, waiting for the right time to strike.

Aboard the High Ride, Captain Tatankoch was dealing with enemy Oracles heading towards his air craft. He shouted at his crew, "Brace for impact!" The message reached the ears of many through the air craft's intercom system. As the crew braced for the first barrage of firepower from the EMF retaliation Oracles, Captain Tatankoch ordered his crew several tasks, "Prepare turrets. Engage shields. Fire missiles 1, 2, and 3 at enemy Oracles. Wait for the first shots' wave to end." When the bullets stopped, Tatankoch's orders were then in effect. The result was Tatankoch eliminating two Oracles that were cocky enough to set themselves close to the High Rides' seeking missiles. The battle was reaching its climax, as troops from all sides were already engaging in their first bouts of gunfire.

OOC Comments

You're free to control the siblings piloting the two Oracles, if you're fighting them. However, do not kill them. If your character is fighting against High Tides ground troops, do not kill them, but weaken them, as I'll figure out how they escaped. When fighting against another player, do not control their character. You can attack their character, but do not control their actions. Any other characters besides off limit characters and roleplayer characters are free game to control. The crazy EMF soldier is an off limit character, but you're free to attack him, same with Porter.

I know Brass Skeleton said there were 6 Oracles attacking Nyala's back, but I'm lowering it to 2 Oracles now.

Outside, Vivian could hear explosions, gunfire, and absolute chaos. She covered her face in exasperation. Why was this happening? There hadn't been anymore announcements and a handful of kids had left the classroom. Vivi assumed the worst. For the time being she had to stay low. Suddenly, the door creaked open, making Vivi's heart skip a beat. In the doorway was a woman clearly in pain. Despite this, her eyes seemed determined. Strangest of all was that she was dripping blood. Some of the more on edge students let out screams along with the teacher.

The woman calmly demanded the teacher's keycard, but Mrs. Yanneth only stared back, seemingly unresponsive. Not missing a beat, the woman turned her gun on Vivi. Vivi's eyes widened, hardly believing what was happening. She barely registered the woman's command. Without hesitation, she walked towards the teacher and carefully removed Mrs. Yanneth's keycard, the latter not even reacting. "Sorry teach, but I don't wanna be shot." she whispered.

Vivi turned back towards the woman in glasses. "Okay, let's not do anything rash." Vivi said very carefully, "I'm going to hand you the card slowly." As she did that, some of the more brave students charged the unknown woman while she was focusing on Vivian. Vivi's eyes widened in shock, completely caught off guard by the foolishness of her fellow classmates. If they made it out of this, she was going to demand apologies from all of them.

Harlock sighed. Snipers now. They were more annoying than anything unable to penetrate his armor. But he was running decoy so no matter what, he had to keep on going. He stuck to missiles and launched a few at the general location of the snipers. Now those where his main problem. And the incoming oracles. Now it was time to go back to his gun however in scatter mode. His gun was powered up so even in scatter mode it would rain down heavy fire. He aimed first at the sniper's locations then at the ground troops now scattering.

William could only help but smile at his escort's justice calls as the gunshots rang out from the front of the school. It wasn't entirely misplaced anger, but William knew more than most that there was always more than one side in the dice. It was just a case of which one you got rolled.

"This way, we'll begin our search away from the action for now." The further away from the fighting they could remain, the less resistance they would run into. The plan wasn't to engage in a drawn out gunfight, they were to locate the target and signal the air ship to provide some cover support for their escape. William's communicator buzzed to life with the steady voice of one of the controllers from the airship.

"Sir, the EMF have already surrounded your position. There are heavy forces approaching the front gate and our forces have already engaged them. It should buy you enough time, sir."

"Thank you, keep me posted on the EMF movements." There was a brief moment of professionalism from William as he responded, the cogs in his brain turning with strategies as he tried to predict how the EMF would react, "They would respond with as much force as they can muster, wouldn't they. A display of power..." And then it was quickly replaced with that crazy grin, his eyes lit towards his men, "Let us go! We have to find the loot before the ship sinks." The dark undertone was not lost on them. This school was going down, the EMF were ruthless in their methods and would not respond kindly to civilians or terrorists. William wouldn't have been surprised if the foot soldiers had been given the go-ahead to ignore civilian casualties. Even he had to agree it was truly barbaric.

Not that he disagreed with it either.

"In here." After a short while walking, William gestured into a nearby classroom where a struggle could be heard. Perhaps it was their target? As William opened the door, two of his men rushed in, guns at the ready. What they saw was more than disturbing. It was an EMF soldier throttling a teacher in front of his students.

"Bastard!" One of the High Tides men shouted, aiming his gun, but he was quickly stopped by William's raised hand.

"No, wait." Something about the man intrigued him. He was alone, for one. The EMF squads didn't break up unless something had happened or this was a new battle tactic or potential ambush. Secondly, he didn't seem to mind them at first. He just continued to beat the deceased elder man to further death in a crazed rage, shouting obscenities at him. It was only after a good fifteen seconds did the strange man stop, realising he had company. William could only observe with fascination as his men lined up their sights, fingers almost caressing their triggers for when he gave the kill order. The EMF didn't care for prisoners of war, so neither did they.

Turn 3

Despite Porter's demands, the braver students charged at her, even though Porter held an armed gun in her hand. Porter was surprised at first, but she still fired upon the first students that rushed her. Two of them dropped dead, but the rest managed to tackle Porter into submission. Now locked in placed, Porter struggled to remove herself from the student's imprisonment. She yelled, "You idiots. Get off of me and bring me the key card." The children punched Porter believing her to be a terrorist. Apparently, the Eranyne Empire's media taught the students to hate terrorists quite well with an extreme passion. Meanwhile, Mrs. Yanneth watched the events unfold in horror. She didn't seem to regret her inaction, but she was clearly out it today, since she didn't bother to aid the students in the submission of the bloodied woman. When Vivian asked for her card, Mrs. Yanneth nodded and she proceeded to hand the card over to the student. The teacher spoke no words, since she thought herself in an odd, surreal dream. She only submitted to the student's demands in order to avoid responsibility over the events.

The detained Porter was beaten to a pulp. Once she stopped squirming and moving, the students refrained from harming her any further. The brave students believed her dead, yet they were also curious, so they decided to check Porter's suitcase. However, one cautious student shouted to the crowd, "Careful! She's a terrorist. There may be poisons in that suitcase!" This statement caused the students to fear for their lives since they now feared the potential poison that could leek from the suitcase. Several students fled the room, while a few remained still curious of the suitcase's contents. Porter's body continued to soak the classroom's ground in blood, and the students stared at the suitcase, unsure of what to do with it. Then, one student attempted to open the suitcase, but they failed in their endeavors. After the first students failure, others tried their hand opening the suitcase. With several eyes away from Porter, Porter was able to reawake from her pool of blood. Her gun had been pushed aside by the students, which she noticed near an empty desk. She rushed for her gun causing herself to make rather loud steps, which prompted the students to return their gaze back at her. When she finally was reunited with her gun, the students were limited in size. The two dead bodies that laid on the ground served as a reminder that the woman wouldn't hesitate to shoot the students, if they failed to comply with her demands.

Porter yet again pointed her gun at the students. She demanded several things at once, "Give me the key card and suitcase." Several seconds passed and she shot a nearby student in the knee. She yelled, "Now! You brats!" The students were in shock, and they were surprised the woman survived the onslaught of punches and kicks. Porter looked like a squashed, bruised tomato with several wounds opened and a multitude of bruises all over her beaten body. This woman meant business.

Harlock's missiles bombarded the snipers, who only managed to pierce Harlock's Oracle a little bit. Then, Harlock's Oracle sprayed a round of bullets towards the ground troops near the school's entrance. However, Harlock was outnumbered due to the snipers on the roof and the ground troops poised to fire at Harlock's Oracle. It seemed logical that Harlock would need to escape inside the school's building in order to avoid the Eranyne's Empire firepower.

Dorian, who led the snipers, watched as Harlock fired a devastating missile which wiped out their scouts. He thought it was foolish to continue fire, so he commanded his troops to enter the school building, away from the dangerous terrorist Oracle. Fortunately, Dorian knew the pilot felt pressured, since they fired missiles right away instead of gauging their surroundings.

On the ground, Harrier utilized his Oracle's functions to dodge Harlock's bullets. In a matter of seconds, Harrier's Oracle moved with a burst of speed by sliding its tires across the school's concrete to escape the sudden bullets. However, this maneuver was difficult as it involved predicting Harlock's nature. He expected Harlock to fire recklessly, but he never expected Harlock to fire near one of his own men. The Oracle stationed in front of Harrier was pelted by a few bullets which damaged the Oracle's left arm. Now, with his enemy at a disadvantage, Harrier led a direct attack to pierce the damaged terrorist Oracle with machine gun fire. Despite the terrorist's Oracle use of a float, Harrier closed the distance with his Oracle's thrusters. In a time of only several seconds, Harrier fired bullets into the Oracle's internal system. The terrorist inside the Oracle pushed a button in order to eject. The escape pod flew up into the air, away from the explosion that resulted from Harrier's devastating close up attack. Even though the terrorist escaped, Harrier was content with eliminating one of the terrorist's threats.

As Harrier dealt with the Oracle near the school's main building, Nyla was dealing with an Oracle from behind. Unlike other enemies she faced, this Oracle was quick. She watched as the Oracle flew gracefully, dashing around the sky with its float. Her men were wasting bullets in their attempt to land a hit on the Oracle's frame. Since the enemy Oracle wasn't on the offense, Nyla ordered her men to halt fire. Then, Nyla heard an explosion, a sign that one of the Oracles behind her was terminated and unable to fight. That's when she saw an opening. The other Oracle that attacked Nyla's troops slowed down for a moment due to the explosion. Immediately, Nyla fired off two missiles to finish off her opponent. The terrorist Oracle sped up again, now to avoid the missiles. Unfortunately, the Oracle failed to lose the missiles due to the distraction that hindered the pilot's abilities. Thus, the pilot had no choice but to eject out of the Oracle in an escape pod. The pilot watched as the missile's impact exploded both the Oracle and float.

With both terrorist Oracles eliminated, Nyla communicated to Harrier via military coms in order to gather information and to brief Harrier on her victory. Due to a lack of opposition, Nyla ordered Harrier to hold off Harlock's Oracle, while she and her team of ground troops would investigate the school building for terrorists.

Blitzer Blitzer

Yves Hallor watched in horror as Mr. Olavynch was beaten even further by the crazy EMF soldier. The student remained in the classroom out of fear. He didn't want to die to Terrorists, but now there was this EMF soldier hurting his fellow teacher, who taught him the joy of Oracles. His tears were silent, as he was too afraid to utter any noise or comments. Then, they, the actual terrorists appeared inside the classroom, which prompted the EMF soldier to stop bludgeoning Mr. Olavynch's face with his fists. The EMF soldier stared at the armed terrorist, William, for a moment, and then he screamed at the top of his lungs, "You terrorist scum! I shall -ack eradicate every -ack one of -ack- you!" He struggled to reach for his gun, since his coughs worsened in the heat of the moment. Nevertheless, he managed to grab a hold of his gun, and he attempted to lift it up in order to kill the terrorists targeting him. Unfortunately, the man was slow, meaning the terrorists could easily kill the man before he fired any bullets. On his person, anyone would find a key card along with concentrated Amitite in a vial.

Kloudy Kloudy

After the destruction of two Oracles, General Rikdeth's face turned red with anger. The man was not happy with losing two valuable pilots. In fact, Sergeant Mvklousey spotted a few tears drip from the general's face. The Sergeant knew the General had a soft spot for his soldiers, which Mvklousey found unusual since most generals sought victory even at the cost of sacrificing soldiers. Fortunately, good news appeared when the council watched Nyla and Harrier defeat two terrorist Oracles. General Rikdeth was a rather emotional man, so a bright smiled formed on his face as he shouted, "Way to go, Nyla! You show those terrorists!" This little event actually encouraged the general even further. Rikdeth told the council, "I'm going out there now. We know the air craft is powerful, but it's no match for my custom made Oracle." Mvklousey sighed, but he responded positively, "Very well, General. Once you made up your mind, I can't talk you out of it anyway. Shall I remain here, or shall I accompany you?" Rikdeth smiled at his Sergeant, almost like a child giddy to play, "Stay here, my trusty Sergeant. I'll be back soon."

The General's Oracle was located near the butt of the EMF Mobile Tank's bottom floor. Preparations were dealt in fifteen minutes. After all, the workers on the tank couldn't let their dear General down, otherwise they risked a potential demotion. Once the Oracle's set up was complete, General Rikdeth exited the tank in his bulky Oracle. Despite its weight and size, the Oracle's thrusters were extremely powerful. Rikdeth blasted off to the skies to face off against Tatankoch's air craft.

Now in the air, the stocky Oracle quickly raced to the air craft. Captain Tatankoch sent forth a second barraged of missiles at Rikdeth's Oracle, but the Oracle's shields prevented any serious damage from the air craft's missiles. The missiles simply crashed into the Oracle's purple shields that emitted as an aura over the Oracle. Acknowledging that the Oracle contained an extradoinary Amitite supply, Captain Tatankoch ordered his crew to brace for impact. They needed to buy additional time for Porter's return, and so Tatankoch commanded his crew to reinforce the High Ride with defensive shields. General Rikdeth stopped his Oracle from crashing into the High Ride's shields, once he eyed the appearance of defensive shields. Rikdeth's Oracle pulled out a heavy lance weapon, which the General then used to pierce the High Ride's shields. It was successful and the shields were slowly diminishing. In a matter of time, General Rikdeth would succeed in breaching a hole into the air craft.

You're free to control other player's characters other than Vivian Astris, William Rundell Shade, and Harlock Winthrop; however, you cannot kill off limit characters unless I say it's alright. You can attack other characters, but that's pretty much it. Regarding Porter's survivability, there's a reason she wasn't killed by the students beating. It'll all be explained soon. The man's reaction only served to intrigue William more, the slender man leaning to peer in more closely at the maddened soldier. The occasional glitches in the soldier's manner and speech was odd, as was his jerky actions. He seemed to be fighting something. Eventually, as the gun shakily came up to point at William, he gave the order with a sigh.

"Kill him."

There was no sound but four simultaneous gunshots and a body falling.

Walking over nonchalantly, William inspected the still twitching body half-heartedly. Something was poking out from the deceased soldier's upper breast pocket. Opening the strap, William slid out a vial of...

"Amitite?" It was true, clear as daylight. A small container of pure Amitite, the source of power that had driven the Erayne Empire into what it was now. Did the EMF just give their soldier's these now? Is that how much they had in such abundance? Frowning, William then searched the body further, discovering a keycard in the left trouser pocket. Even more questionable. Pawn soldier's didn't need access to areas that require key cards, was this guy someone important?

"Right. This has been... quite something. I'll have to inform the Commander..." William seemed to think for a moment, then that excitedly splitting smile returned, "Or not." He took a small phone from his pocket and took a picture of the dead soldier before turning on his heel, clicking his fingers to his escort, "Come. We still have to find the target."

"Sir, heavy losses on our side at the main gate. We've lost two of our Oracles." That was the controller radioing William again. A scowl reached William's brow at this news.

"No! I need more time." He slammed his fist on the 'no', the force spilling the cold mug of coffee off of the teacher's desk and onto his bloody head. A few of the students whimpered. Shaking his head, William left the classroom, trudging down the hallway at an increased pace, his features stormy. His fingers were poised to grab his dart gun at any moment, not out of caution or fear, but simply because he needed to expel his anger and frustration by killing some unfortunate EMF soldier, or even just a difficult student.

After a minute of walking, William heard gunshots again. His head snapped towards the sound as if he were a bloodhound that had finally sniffed out its prey.

"This way. Follow me." His tone was flat now as he went into professionalism mode again. Striding forward quickly, William rounded the corner and flung the classroom door open, dart gun raised.

"Well helloooooo there! I believe the High Tides cavalry has come to crash the party!" His crazily excited eyes darted around the room, taking everything in. Porter was here, albeit damaged, and with company. William let out a bark of laughter, "Hah! The EMF must have done a number on you." Several students were dotted about the room still, some alive and some dead. William's eyebrows raised amusedly, "Oh? Don't tell me you had some resistance here? These are mere kids, you know." He earned a few indignant glares from the students with that, but those soon faded to fearful glances as his men appeared through the doorway behind him, guns aimed cautiously. There would be no charge of faith with William.

"Porter, I presume? We must be leaving now, the EMF shall be upon us soon and I haven't had enough fun to die yet." His sarcastically amused grin and smug features just oozed with crazy charm, he was really a powerful presence in the room. To tell the truth, most people found him more than a little unsettling. These students were getting first hand experience of that now.

Vivian watched with a distant horror as she saw two of her classmates gunned down. What were they thinking? Tears threatened to come as she watched the kids fall to the ground, but she held them back as best she could. Regardless, a few tears escaped and stained her face. Despite the deaths of a couple students, the remaining kids tackled the woman to the ground, where Vivi hoped she'd stay. The woman became angry and demanded to have the key card. The students ignored her and began to punch and kick the woman until she stopped moving entirely. Vivi stared down at the bloodied invader, uncertain how to feel. She then felt a surge of nausea she hadn't felt towards the dead students. At least they had gone down in a single shot. Vivi mustered all her strength to breath deeply. She needed to think of a way to get out of here.

After taking a minute to regain some composure, Vivi noticed everyone was focusing on the suitcase. Something about poisons and terrorists. She couldn't really follow. At least three quarters of the remaining students left after that. Vivi guessed they decided they'd rather take their chances on the outside than risk being poisoned. As everyone else prodded the suitcase, Vivi took some time to process what had happened. Why did they start attacking the mysterious woman? She supposed they had all concluded the woman was a terrorist. That's why they tackled her. Sure, that at least made some sense. But why start beating her up? They should have tried to keep her restrained. Maybe she could have asked the woman some questions, though Vivi doubted the woman would have been inclined to answer any.

A rush of steps and a familiar voice making demands snapped Vivi out of her reverie. Vivi stared in complete disbelief. If the woman wasn't dead, Vivi was almost certain the woman would be comatose with a concussion. Who in the heck was this woman? The few students who remained looked at the terrorist with defeat. They'd clearly put everything into their attack, and they certainly didn't want to die. They weren't going to try another assault. Vivi supposed the woman either didn't have the skill to take the items she desired by sheer force, or didn't want to since she chose to ask for them instead of shooting anyone else. Perhaps if Vivi just gave her the card, she'd leave. Vivi started to feel bad for the woman. What might have been a pretty face had been completely ruined by these kids.

"I'm really sorry they did that." Vivi started to say, "Here, just take this and leave. Please." Just as Vivian Astris was about to give the woman the key card she so desired, the door to the classroom was flung open. For the briefest of seconds, Vivi had hoped it was the military to save them. Her hopes were dashed just as quickly as their new guest announced himself. Vivi's breathing increased in pace as she tried to stay calm. This man was a wildcard. That she could tell from his entrance. Before long, more terrorists came into view. The children were already dejected, but now they all felt hopeless. Most of them were certain that this man would exact punishment on them for harming his supposed comrade.

Judging from his question, though, Vivi could tell that those two were not especially familiar with each other, so he might not kill them all to enact any sort of vengeance. But he definitely seemed the sort to just kill them all for fun. Vivian tried to give the woman, Porter apparently, the key card in the hopes that it would be seen as a sign of good faith. It was impossible to predict what would happen now, but she wanted to try and at least protect herself. Dying now would be too unfortunate.

Turn 4

The students either sat or stood in fear at the woman's threat. This tension allowed Porter to collect her suitcase without any disruption. As she gathered her belongings, one of the students said, "I'm really sorry they did that. Here, just take this and leave, please." In the female student's hand, Porter spotted a key card. She reached for the card, hands wide and ready. After all, she dealt with multiple horrors trying to complete her mission. Once she obtained the key card, she could finally leave the dreaded school that caused intensive damage to her body. While she attempted to grab the card, a man, and several familiar terrorists appeared inside the classroom.

The man entertained the terrified students and Porter with his eclectic introduction, "Well helloooooo there! I believe the High Tides cavalry has come to crash the party!" Such a response prompted Porter to express a deadpan stare, since the man waltzed excitedly into her situation. However, that was just the beginning of the annoyance. Again, the man spoke, commenting on Porter's failure to handle several students in a playful matter, "Oh? Don't tell me you had some resistance here? These are mere kids, you know." When he finished his question, several other terrorists marched themselves in the vicinity. Some were familiar faces for Porter. Although, she appreciated the back up, she was ticked off by the man's casualness to the situation. Before she let out a snarky chide, the man, William, explained to Porter that the Eranyian Military Forces were already advancing into the school. She sighed for a moment, aware that the situation was not in the High Tides favor.

She started to speak to the terrorists, attempting to issue new demands, "Very well. Yes, I'm Porter, and I know you're High Tides. Anyways-" She was interrupted by Vivian's gesture with the key card. Realizing that the key card laid before her eyes, she quickly snatched it up, and then placed it in her pant pocket. Porter picked up on her prior demands, "We can't leave just yet. I need to check something out quickly." While stating her orders, she walked to a nearby desk, where she situated her suitcase on the desk. With the keycard in her hand, she inserted the card into the cases' slot. On the top of the case, there was a horizontal hole that fitted the key card. In several seconds, the suitcase opened, revealing an unknown textbook.

Upon the suitcase's unlocking, Mrs. Yanneth's expression changed in an odd way. The once terrified teacher, now stood up in front of several armed terrorists and her remaining students. Something about the textbook riled the woman's senses, invoking a scream, "Ahhhhh!" Porter reacted quickly, telling the others to not shoot, "Don't shoot! Let her scream." The students watched in terror as their teacher cried out a disgusting screech. When Mrs. Yanneth finished her shriek, Porter continued her clarification, "You, there. Woman. Your keycard was linked to this suitcase, meaning that you're connected to the system." Mrs. Yanneth blankly eyed the woman, her body felt extremely hot, yet she still managed to relay words, "What's happening to me? And what do you mean my keycard was linked to the suitcase? The other teachers have similar keycards, but why- why do I feel so hot, right now?" Porter replied, "I'll explain later. High Tides detain this woman at once. She's coming with us to the ship. This is an order, a Divi Connect order. Oh, and you there," She pointed at Vivian, the student who handed her the key card, "You want to live don't you? That's why you handed me the key card, correct? Well, you don't need to answer to my orders, but here's a recommendation: follow me." Before departing the classroom, Porter positioned the recently acquired textbook into her left arm.

Finally out of the classroom, Porter thought about the recent turn of events. She muttered to herself faintly, "If that teacher's connected to a system, then there's something wrong with the students too." She yelled at her comrades, "What's the hold up, you slowpokes! You said it yourself, we don't got all day!"

Whether the students followed her, it didn't matter. She completed her goal, meaning she could finally return to the ship, a safe place. The many months she spent as a custodian in this school were horrible. All those messes and disgusting spills she endured during her time as a lowly janitor, while her partner, Saki, worked as a teacher. Whatever the case, at least Saki stole a few rarities from the special faculty rooms, in particular the suitcase, before her untimely death to an EMF soldier. Several hours ago, Porter witnessed an EMF soldier fire a round of lead into Saki's chest. She was shot too, but unlike Saki, Porter survived the deadly bullet. She sighed, changing her thoughts to the textbook.

Porter began to read the textbook she carried, while waiting for the others to appear. She muttered, "Blueprints for the gift of data?" A small snicker escaped from her mouth faintly. In Porter's mind, the school contained a secret far worse than any other military facility, if it truly accommodated the blueprints within the textbook. Still, it bothered Porter that the teacher reacted to the suitcase's opening. According to Porter's assumptions, something had awakened in the female teacher, influencing Porter to comprise that the gift of data resided in the teacher.

Inside the classroom, as the terrorists began to detain Mrs. Yanneth, the amitite on William's person reacted explosively. The amitite latched onto William's body, fusing with his very being. He would fall to the ground under the dangerous effects of the amitite. A voice spoke in his mind, "Your life is no longer your own. I grant unto you, the gift of data, Auger. In due time, you will answer to my contract." An image of a mid twenties, white haired female, wearing a plain sundress, materialized in William's mind. Followed by the image, William would experience a vision relating to his past, present, and future. Once the vision ended, the voice stated one command, "Awaken!" When William opened his eyes, others stared at him, as if they witnessed a weird scenario, while one of the terrorists asked, "William, are you alright?" The curious terrorist touched William's shoulder, hoping to console him.

As William's occurrence transpired, Vivian along with the other students experienced something in their bodies too. They witnessed the past, where a nurse gave them a vaccination, before they joined as students in the school. When this vision came to pass, all the students in unison heard the same voice, "Your life is no longer your own. I grant unto you, the gift of data, Auger. In due time, you will answer to my contract." All of the students but Vivian inside the classroom perished after receiving the message. In Vivian's mind, she spotted a young blonde ten year old boy, wearing a tuxedo and dress suit attire. After the image, Vivian was beholden to a vision of her past, present, and future. As the vision ended, the same voice commanded her, "Awaken!" Vivian's eyes darted open, but unlike William, no one offered her hand in helping her back up. She awoke to scattered dead students.

Dorian and Nyla's ground troops rendezvoused at the base of the main school building which hosted the remaining High Tides terrorists. The two spoke briefly, starting with Dorian, "Officer Nyla, how should we split the investigation? Shall I head to the east wing, while you go to the west wing?" Nyla responded in full, "Officer Dorian, I'll head the west wing. You go to the east wing," she turned to her other ground troops, "Units 6E, 7D, 3B, and 2A. Accompany Dorian." They answered immediately, "Yes, Officer Nyla!" The groups split into two, and Dorian's forces, which included two snipers and four of Nyla's combat troops along with Dorian himself, headed in the direction of Porter, William, and Vivian.

Meanwhile, outside the school's main building, Harrier and Harlock's Oracles were engaged in combat. The two dispensed many of their resources prior to their battle, yet Harrier's Oracle included missiles, since Harlock exhausted all of his own. As the first missile launched from Harrier's Oracle and collided into Harlock's Oracle, Harlock dispatched himself from the Oracle in an escape pod. Although, a short battle, Harlock observed that Harrier's current reserves exceeded his own. On the High Tides communication network, Harlock shouted, "I'm retreating. Good luck William! Captain Tatankoch, we're out of fighting Oracles now." Another message was transmitted from the air craft, "This is Captain Tatankoch. William, we'll meet you at the roof. Have you secured Porter?"

Dorian's group conducted themselves rapidly. They couldn't afford to let the Terrorists escape, especially after all the trouble they've caused for the EMF. Therefore, they aimed to shoot any wandering students and teachers to avoid the risk of letting terrorists flee, but oddly enough they noticed that the students and teachers in the east wing were already dead. While scanning the nearby classrooms, they found Porter, a woman, reading the contents of a textbook. One of Dorian's soldiers fired at the woman, forcing Porter to duck onto the hallway's tiled ground in order to dodge the passing bullets. Again, she screamed at her terrorist comrades, "A little help here! What's taking you all so long!"

A top the clouds, the High Ride, Captain Tatankoch's commanding air craft, dealt with a horrible blow from the enemy Oracle's penetrating lance. The damage was done, and the shields were breached, showing a small hole in the air craft's internal systems. Fortunately, the damage was done at backside of the High Ride. Still, it made sense that General Rikdeth charged the back, since the front utilized a majority of the shield's energy, leaving the back wide open to attacks. Tatankoch issued another order, "Separate the High Ride. Order 34." Compared to other orders, Order 34 was unique. Essentially, Tatankoch never expected to issue order 34, since Order 34 meant that the High Ride would lose its backside. The High Ride is composed of three parts, the front, the middle, and the back. Order 34 disengaged the back portion of the High Ride, disconnecting the High Ride from General Rikdeth's grasp. Once the order was finished, Tatankoch told the crew, "Set course to the roof of the main school building. Quickly!"

The High Ride's thrusters erupted, propelling the High Ride closer to the school's main building. General Rikdeth's Oracle detached from the High Ride's discarded back side. However, since the Oracle utilized most of its thrusters, it needed more energy to chase the remains of the High Ride. General Rikdeth ordered his troops, "The Terrorist scum is approaching the school's main building. Send all remaining forces their immediately." While speaking, he received a message from his Sergeant, "Rikdeth, reinforcements are on their way. Jumlie city has dispatched two additional squads. I'm sending additional Oracles to surround the ship." General Rikdeth agreed with the Sergeants' command. From the EMF's mobile base, several additional model two Oracles ascended into the air, ready to detain the High Ride.

"Well? You heard the punching bag!" William gestured at the squad, who had been standing about rather confused by the whole suitcase scene. One of them eventually positioned himself behind Mrs Yaneth, pushing her at gun point out of the room and after Porter rather slowly. Watching the two leave, William's communicator bleeped with incoming transmissions, to which he opened the device.

"I'm retreating. Good luck William! Captain Takankoch, we're out of fighting Oracles now."

"Received. Try to kill a few more next time, eh?" William's sarcastic response was to be expected, he hardly played the cameradie game with anyone, just mind games. Speaking of which, this then prompted him to gesture at the girl who had helped Porter, "Fear not, little girl. Betraying your country in favour of survival can be a tough decision for most. Lucky you, old generous William is here to make it for you." He turned and glanced to another of the High Tides men with him, "Take her with us as well. The EMF general Rikdeth is known for his crippling kindness. I want some insurance in case he decides to come right at us himself." William knew the EMF footsoldiers and council didn't care about civilian causualities, but he also knew that Rikdeth was their Achilles in diplomacy. Whilst he was a brilliant general and fighter, he was too good for his own good. William was certain he would not fire upon an innocent young girl, he didn't have it in him.

As the second terrorist soldier moved to escort Vivian away, the next order from Tatankoch himself came through, "This is captain Tatankoch. William, we will meet you at the roof. Have you secured Porter?"

William promptly replied with a hint of pride, his tone dripping with a gloating narcissism, "Goodness captain, things sound hectic up there. One would think Rikdeth himself has come to do battle." He allowed himself to snicker for a moment before composing himself to retain some professionalism, "Anyway, yes, we have secured Porter and whatever this is that she has brought with her. Some kind of suitcase? We will indeed meet you by the roof, standby."

It was then that something otherworldly happened to William. His vision suddenly collapsed into blackness and an intense pain blossomed from his left breast over his heart where the amitite was resting in the pocket there, the material having exploded. The sound and force scared the three other terrorists still in the room, all having immediately assumed that William had been sniped somehow. In actuality, William had only been knocked down by the force, not particularly harmed in any way. Although his mind could not offer the same conclusion.

Inside William's head, a strange young woman dressed in white has appeared, issuing forth some sort of statement that he couldn't comprehend. Gift of data? Contract? What?! What followed next was nearly enough to drive William almost insane. It was his past. His father had come home for the first time in weeks. His mother was overjoyed, having been struggling with debt collectors and loan sharks for ages. Perhaps things would finally be okay? William could remember his younger naive self having been just as excited for his father's long-awaited return, for life to finally go back to normal. But no, life was no fairy tale, nor was it fair. A raised gun. A flash. And loud bang. Blood. More blood. Blood all over the floors and partly down the wall behind his mother. Her bodying slumping against it, lifeless. His father emotionless, a deadpan expression as he moved about the room, extracting what valuables he could from it. William, now his older self standing in the stead of his child-counterpart, could only freeze in an amalgamation of shock, horror, fear, anger, despair and nausea. His father had killed his mother and was now robbing their house. And he hadn't even the decency to say a word either.

William also remembered something else that his father used to say to him: "Son, life is not a game of karma or logical give and take. Life is a game of luck. You either win or you lose, the dice of fate have already rolled for your future. There is nothing you can do to change it - unless you're like me. Then you have your way with fate, eh?" A cheeky laugh had followed that, but it was not until years later that William had finally understood what he had meant. His father was in crippling debt because of his gambling problem, because his dice of fate had decided they didn't want to be meddled with any longer. His hand being forced, he had been forced to act as a sort of privateer for those he owed money to. In other words, a larceny thief. It was unlucky that this had happened to him, but the true bad luck came in that William's house was his target. With no choice, William's father had to commit the deed. Why he had killed his mother and not him also, William had no idea. But it had scarred the boy for life and made William into what he was today. Whether he was grateful or not for that, he was unsure.

All of this flashed through his mind during his neurological stupor on the floor. As it subsided, William unsteadily got to his hand and knees, visibility shaken. In fact, as he managed to barely get to his feet, he noticed that his hands were visibly shaking. A surprised and shocked look came about him as he stared into his unsteady hands, confusion reigning supreme at what the hell had just happened. He heard a ringing in his ear, but that wasn't probably just the trauma or shock, "Wh... What did you do to me..." He muttered, his heart thumping like how Porter's body had been treated earlier. This moment was broken however as one of the High Tides' squad members touched William in the shoulder with concern.

"William, are you alright?"

William, having had his back turned to the man, responded by viciously slapping the hand away and snarling, "Don't touch me!" He retreated several steps away from the man, glaring animalistically at him. The two simply locked eyes for a long while before William seemed to frown in confusion. Why was the other man still staring, not moving a muscle? William knew the guy didn't have that much courage or nerve, nor was he that terrified of William. Something was... wrong. Glancing away, William noticed the other two glancing back and forth in mirroring confusion, apparently more than able to move, although they froze whenever William stared at them. As he looked away from the first guy, the man burst into life, gasping for air as he had somehow been unable to breath. His nose was blocked and his mouth had been closed, so his inability to move had been slowly suffocating him. Down the corridor, gunshots were let off, followed by Porter's telling. Baffled by this development, William jumped back to action, scooping his fallen dart gun back up and moving to the door. He pointed without looking at the first guy he had somehow frozen, "You, collect the girl. You two, follow me." The second order was self explanatory as William left. He had missed the other students having their weird moment as well, nor did he realise that only the girl had remained alive.

William quickly strode towards the gunshots and Porter, his dart gun ready. As he rounded the corner he found himself unexpectedly faced with two EMF soldiers pointed guns at him. He had just walked out from cover and directly into the firing line, there would be no time to dodge. The dice of fate could only save him now.

And so they did.

As William was staring wide-eyed at the soldiers, they too stood still, simply staring. Neither fired a shot nor moved a muscle. By now, a spark of intuition ignited in William's brain. Something was definitely afoot here, something within himself had changed. People were stopping what they were doing to stare at him. Had everyone suddenly realised his incredible beauty? Were his eyes just that gorgeously captivating? As he studied the frozen men, William realised that their gazes were indeed drawn to his, however he doubted it had anything to do with the realisation of his looks. No this was something akin to the like of superpowers. Yes, William had been granted something extraordinary. Was this the gift of data that the odd women from the vision had told him about? He shuddered to think what price a contract for this power would cost him. Even he knew nothing was for free.

Then William began to giggle. And snicker. Then it turned int a chuckle which quickly became a laugh. A laugh that grew more and more hysterical with each passing second. William could not contain himself and closed his eyes for a moment insanity. The second he did, the soldiers rushed to life, one popping off a shot at him. The bullet scraped past his right arm, tearing the clothing and leaving a thin wound and a trail of blood in its wake. Suck air through his teeth sharply, William's laughing ceased immediately as he returned his focus to the soldiers, thus freezing them again. Raising his dart gun, he pulled the trigger twice, two lethal darts flying forth to lodge themselves in each man's neck. Their bodies swiftly gave up on them as organs shut down until they collapsed, apparently released from William's supreme gaze only in death. It was interesting to watch the point of when exactly they died, which was noticeable by the exact moment that they dropped to the floor, no longer paralysed. It seemed William had become a god amongst men at long last, yet much sooner than he had anticipated.

"More will be arriving, head to the rooftop. Air support will be landing their for a pick up." As William commanded Porter and the other terrorists, his voice quavered with both fear and excitement for what his future now held. If he now possessed what he think he did, then the world had suddenly just become all that much more easier to mess with. He would have to test this "gift" extensively, but he hoped it was exactly what he thought it was.

And not a moment later, more EMF men rounded the corner, shots popping off at William as he hid around his corner as well, "You two will stay with me, the rest of you go!" William shouted the order under the hail of bullets. He planned to hold off the EMF until Porter had escaped, as per his promise to the captain before he had left. Besides, what better time to test this new ability than in the field directly? A crazy grin adorned his face, his eyes even more wide with pure insane joy and anticipation for what was about to happen next. It was time to kill, and William had just acquired his latest weapon of choice.

Vivian felt a wash of relief, although brief, as Porter took the key card. She seemed grateful enough, so there was a chance things might turn out okay. But then Porter said they weren't leaving yet. Cautiously, Vivi returned to the other student and tried whispering to them in the hopes of calming them down. Vivi watched Porter with confusion as she opened her suitcase. Why did the key card work on the suitcase? Vivi had assumed the terrorist wanted the card so she could access doors or something. Just as Porter had unlocked the suitcase to reveal a mysterious textbook, their nearly catatonic teacher began to react. Despite having been completely unresponsive up until this point, Mrs. Yanneth was screaming as if she'd seen a horrifying monster. The children started getting restless, but Vivi continued to reassure them as best she could. "It's okay, we'll be fine. Look, she stopped." Vivi whispered as Porter started to explain to their teacher about something that didn't make any sense.

After the short back and forth, Porter ordered the terrorists to take Mrs. Yanneth with them and then offered Vivi herself to come along. The kids around her whispered not to go, that she'd be betraying her country, that it would be unforgivable. She considered the options. Porter seemed sure that staying here would be deadly. The lead terrorist began to lead everyone out, taking the teacher with them. After the man answered his communicator, he turned toward Vivian and gestured at her. It seemed regardless of her classmates' desires, the decision had been made. One of the goons approached the huddled group of students and casually pushed aside everyone who wasn't Vivi. It seemed they wished to use her and a shield. Vivi let out a sigh. There was no helping it. Before the terrorist could start leading her away, the lead terrorist William got another communication call.

Suddenly William was on the floor, a moment passed, and then all was darkness. Vivi saw her first day on campus. A nurse had vaccinated her, just as she had done with all students. Vivi had thought nothing of it at the time, but now it seemed like something terribly important. Before she could process any of it a voice entered her mind. "Your life is no longer your own. I grant unto you, the gift of data, Auger. In due time, you will answer to my contract." What the heck could that mean? As the voice faded, a vision appeared. It was a blonde haired boy, surely no older than 10. He was dressed in a tuxedo and dress suit attire. It was as if the image was being imprinted there for future reference since the boy did nothing of note.

As that vision faded, new ones appeared. A great jumble of images paraded through Vivi's mind. Images of a carefree childhood spent reading and playing games; images of her first day at school; images of probably her last day at school. Giant machines, fire, explosions, death. And then nothing until strange visions she couldn't make out and only guess at. Her fighting in war, against the people she used to think of as fellow citizens. And then once again nothing. The voice returned and shouted "Awaken!" With a great start, Vivian opened her eyes to see herself surrounded by dead students. Horrified, she scampered away and got up off the ground. Quickly scanning them with her eyes, it appeared they didn't die of injury. At least nothing external. So they hadn't been shot while she was unconscious. She suspected they had experienced visions like herself and presumably William. But for some reason they died and she lived. She turned to see William staring at one of his goons, the latter frozen in place. Just as William had looked away, the goon had returned to life, clearly out of breath.

"Weird." Vivi muttered to herself as one of the terrorist grabbed her by the arm. She didn't try to resist, so the man relaxed his grip and gently, if one could use such a word in this situation, tugged her along. With everyone dead but her, she had no reason to remain. The combination of all these crazy events, especially the last vision, made her willing to go along with these people, if only until she could be saved, although she was doubtful. No one had come to save her class, and now they were probably all dead. She wasn't anyone important, so there was no chance anyone would go out of their way to come after her. So she decided to make the most of the situation. She was alive for now, right?

Out in the hallway, chaos was ensuing. William had seemingly frozen EMF soldiers, and then launched himself into a laughing frenzy. The terrorist escorting her had loosened his grip in the ensuing firefight, so Vivi took it as an opportunity to get onto the ground and attempt to follow Porter as closely as she could. Vivian Astris didn't have time to worry about anything but escaping this place as soon as possible. She took a moment to process everything that happened after William fell to the ground. She had seen visions that were far stronger than any memory or dream. And now William could freeze people by looking at them. Did she also possess such an ability? As she thought this, a strange sensation came over her. In her mind spoke a voice not her own.

"Vivian Astris, you have been granted Auger. It is yours to use as you see fit. But do not use this power lightly, for it is not all powerful. Your Auger is known as 'Historia', the ability to see histories. To activate it, you must make physical contact with something, be it a person or object. Once contact is made, think of what you desire to know. Ten seconds of maintained contact must pass before you will be able to see the history you desire." And with that the voice faded. Vivi blinked a few times and tried to understand. If anything, now wasn't really the time to try and figure out how to use any sort of ability. She kept to the ground and followed the group.

Turn 5
Part 1 of Turn 5
Sergeant Mvklousey chugged down a bottle of water to calm himself from the stress of the situation. Although he called reinforcements to join the fray, the High Tides' air craft was over the school's base, which could mean many things, but nothing good for the Eranyne Empire. The council frantically uttered their comments around Mvklousey, "What will we do?," and "The terrorists are on the move." A small sigh left Mvklousey's lips, before he spoke to the eclectic council members, "Listen up," he paused to sip an additional helping of water, "We're going to-." Mvklousey coughed since he drank the water too quickly in a short period of time. Fortunately, he picked himself back up to pace, feeling a little bit embarrassed, "A-anyways. Council members. Don't you worry a thing. Our General will handle everything." He offered a sincere smile, but on the inside he understood that his fear was real, and he couldn't hesitate any longer. "Prepare the EMF Mobile Tank to move 200 meters to the north. Prepare for artillery fire."

Meanwhile, General Rikdeth stowed his Oracle onto the EMF Mobile Tank. He needed to refuel his battle machine, since its energy reserves were extremely low due to the prior battle. He ordered the mechanics, "I need a quick refuel on my thrusters. I'm putting an end to this horrendous display of terrorism. Hail the Eranyne Empire!" As the crew busied themselves refilling the Oracle's amitie, General Rikdeth pulled out a small locket from his pocket. He opened it, revealing a small picture of his wife and two daughters, his family that he cherished abundantly. Following the battle's end, he'd like nothing further than to enjoy tea time with his young daughters.

Something worried the General. Despite having the advantage, something was clearly amiss. Ten minutes ago, EMF scouts reported to the mobile command that a majority of students and teachers were killed instantly by terrorists. It was unknown whether any survivors were possible. He muttered to himself, "Those terrorist scum. Despite our orders, they've gone and killed every student. Each one had such a bright future."

Seated at the forefront of the High Tide's aircraft, the High Ride, Captain Tatankoch received several reports from his subordinates. Good news appeared from William's indication that he located Porter successfully, but bad news revealed itself as well, when a fellow member relayed, "Captain. For some reason, all the students and teachers are dead. Anyways, we're headed your way." Caps Tatankoch shouted at the High Ride's frontal mirrors, "Darn you, Eranyne Empire. You're killing students and teachers on purpose, to get even our allies against us." One of the High Tides navigators, dressed in short shorts and a black tank top expressed herself to the captain, "Tatankoch, dar. No need to get ya self so worked up n' all. They was gonna to do this trash anyway. Cowardly EMF." Captain Tatankoch locked his eyes on the blunt woman, "Kei. Now's not the time for your side gags." Such a comment produced a small cackle from Kei, "Now, come on Captain. Ya know I'm just playin'. But listen 'ere, ya Tatar doch. With our back being gone n' all, we don't got much energy, ya see for traveling. Once we get outta 'ere, we gonna need to stop someplace to refuel n' stuff." Whenever she pronounced a word in a degrading manner, Captain Tatankoch's eyebrows twitched bit by bit. "Thank you for reminding me Kei. Set a course for Cainan city. If we head to Jumlie, they'll be waiting for us there." She replied, "Got it caps. Once we get them peeps 'ere, I'll get a course up."

Part 2 of Turn 5
In the school's hallway, lead supplied the air with the smell of gunpowder. The display was unwelcoming, as bullets penetrated into the school's white walls, or glass mirrors. As Porter laid on the ground in her tattered, bloodied lab coat, she yelled a few obscenities at the terrorists, demanding they aid her this instant. She wasn't too worried about her life, but she panicked over the idea of losing her newly attained textbook. If she lost the blueprints for the gift of data, she'd lose her only opportunity to discover the secrets of the world. However, in that instant, she realized that maybe the Eranyne Empire already discovered the secrets of the world, if this textbook was in fact, the blueprint for data. Her body tingled, when her mind considered that thought. In Porter's current thoughts, the Eranyne Empire was more than just a lucky empire. It couldn't be any coincidence that they accommodated the blueprints within this very school. While she laid on the floor thinking about the Empire, William appeared from the classroom, and in that sudden moment, the soldiers' stopped their spray of bullets.

For some unknown reason, the soldiers remained frozen in place. Fortunately, Porter was positioned in a way to avoid William's gaze, so she questioned the man, "What the heck's going on?" And then, she heard monstrous laughter erupting from William's mouth. The demonic laughter continued for a few seconds, before it was quelled by a bullet grazing William's arm. Again, the soldiers were frozen in place by William, and then as William's darts hit their necks, the soldiers soon fell down onto the ground. Porter turned her head to face away from William, registering that William now possessed Auger. She attempted to offer a comment, but she considered to drop it due to her current time crunch. William ordered that two High Tides' scouts accompany him, while the rest escorted Porter to the roof of the school's main building.

Dorian watched in horror as his men were killed one by one, by a single Terrorist, laughing maniacally. Unsure of how one single man eliminated his troops easily, he requested a retreat to his men, "Pull back!" However, his orders fell upon dead ears, since William's Auger paralyzed Dorian's men. Dorian tilted his head to face his frozen men, placing his eyesight directly into William's line of sight. He questioned, "What are yo-," but Dorian ultimately froze as well, unable to finish his question. He unhanded his own chain sword due to the paralysis of William's deadly medusa-like gaze. The squad was powerless against the man's Auger.

Porter quickly stood up, confident that William's Auger could handle additional EMF soldiers. When the three escorts prepared themselves to protect Porter, Porter noticed Vivian laying on the school's tiled ground. "Well, pick yourself up, girl. Let's head out now." Porters' escorts were comprised of three High Tides' members: Chuck, a short boy with black hair; Sophia, a tall girl with pink hair; and Ferdiech, a tall boy with white hair. She remembered their names at least, but she completely forgot their personalities. For Ferdiech, he was holding Mrs. Yanneth at gunpoint, while Sophia lead the front of the group. Chuck positioned himself in the back, while Porter and Vivian remained in the center, as the four ascended to the school's roof via a stairwell. Despite their young ages, these three commanded themselves well as ground units, mainly due to their impressive comradery. Still, she wondered why these three in particular were escorting her, rather than William himself. Whatever the case, maybe she was safer without William's Auger potentially paralyzing her.

Part 3 of Turn 5
Yves Hallor, a student of Mr. Olavynch's class, equipped himself with the crazy EMF soldier's dropped hand gun, and proceeded to exit the classroom, in search of a way out of the hectic battleground. While slowly traversing the empty hallways of the school, his body began to feel numb, causing him to drop his weapon and body onto the hard tiles. A vision appeared before him, clouding his mind, and heavily burdening his anxiety. When the surreal dream concluded, he awoke to hear loud thuds of students and teachers dropping dead in the surrounding classrooms. Apparently, he received the gift of data, Auger. Still, it was odd for him to witness with his own eyes the death of his friends and fellow peers. He desperately wanted to cry out to the world to release him from this hell, but he continued to edge on, desiring his own survival. However, his demise seemed imminent, when EMF soldiers led by a short, young woman blocked his path.

Nyala Pierch commanded the remaining troops, checking each classroom. Initially, she hoped to prevent student causalities, and focus on eradicating the terrorists that plagued the school. That's why she was shocked, when she noticed the recently dead bodies of the student populace. She ordered her troops, "Gas Masks on everyone!" She thought they died of poisonous air, but if that was the case, she'd be dead too. The soldiers and Nyala quickly equipped their heads with gas masks, while trudging forward, spotting each classroom filled with a copious amount of corpses. That was until their eyes focused on Yves Hallor, the only surviving student in the area. When she saw the gun, she demanded the boy, "Surrender yourself to the Eranyne Military Force. Any form of resistance will be met with force." The boy dropped his weapon to the ground and begged, "Please, spare me! I'm only a student!" He held his hands high up in the air in a sign of defeat. Nyala ordered her troops, "Detain him at once. He'll be interrogated." In her mind, the boy should know something about the deaths that filled the school. Afterwards, she received an order from Mvklousey, "Nyala, order your troops to exit the school. Air reinforcements are arriving, and we're starting artillery fire over the school's roof. The High Tides' air craft is hovering close near your position." She had no choice but to command her troops to return to base. Hopefully, the captured boy would net her a promotion.

Part 4 of Turn 5
Harlock along with the two other High Tides' pilots landed their escape pods onto separate areas of the school. Harlock's pod crashed into another school building, while the other twos' pods rammed straight into the school's garden. Inside the classroom, Harlock spied several students and a teacher, all terrified by his presence. Due to the situation, he pointed his hand gun, while attempting to walk out of the classroom. If he wasn't by the school's roof in time, the High Tides would surely leave him for dead. After all, they only needed Porter, not him. Fortunately, he was met with little resistance, as the students and teacher randomly dropped dead. He spoke, "What the heck? How'd they all die?" His comments gained no response, so he brushed the event as an odd weapon. He was in a rush, and he could always ask questions later.

In the school's garden, the two pilots were visited by the empire's oracles and ground units. They had landed in the worst place possible. Deciding that their lives were forfeit due to their position, they relayed a message to Captain Tatankoch: "Sorry, captain. Looks like my sister and I won't be able make it back. We're issuing protocol: blow up." Instead of waiting for Tatankoch's response, they listed their regrets to each other. The brother spoke first, "Yo, sis. I'm sorry for everything. I should've protected your back, but that darn pilot got to me," yet the sister replied, "Sorry? Sorry doesn't begin to mention your stupidity. How idiotic that I must die with you, my accursed brother." Such cold callous words warmed the brother's heart, "Sis, thanks. I needed that." Within the next spare second, the escape pods blew up, engulfing the surrounding Oracles and grounds troops in flames.

As Captain Tatankoch heard the explosion through the coms, a single tear shed from his face. The brother and sister that so fearlessly served his command were now dead, laid to waste by their own sacrifice. He remembered them fondly, when they joined the High Tides. The brother would always cheerfully compliment his sister, even though the sister only replied with hurtful, murderous comments. He always thought they were a comedy routine, but now this was one joke lacking a punch line. Without the siblings around, Tatankoch knew the crew would miss their hilarious banter. However, his tear stemmed from something different, something lingering in the back of his mind. He shook his head, since he couldn't afford to reminisce over the past. His current mission held his priority.

Part 5 of Turn 5
After defeating Harlock's Oracle, Harrier headed towards the school's main building to state the destruction of Harlock's Oracle. When he finally reached the building, he collected a message from Nyala, "The Sergeant has ordered us to evacuate. Do you see a large air craft?" While in his Oracle, Harrier tilted his mech's head to have the visor spot the High Tides' air craft. He responded in full, "Yes, officer Nyala. What are my orders?" Nyala told the eager, dutiful man, "Report back to mobile command with your Oracle." With that order, Harrier used the Oracle's remaining energy to power his thrusters for a rapid flight to the command center.

Part 6 of Turn 5
Porter reached the school's roof, alongside the High Tides' terrorists and the female student. Chuck reported to Tatankoch, "Captain Tatankoch. We've got Porter at the roof. We're brining along two new members." A breath of relief fled Tatankoch, as he excitedly communicated, "Excellent news. We'll send ropes down. Hold onto them, and don't let go." In a few minutes, several ropes plummeted from the High Ride. Sophia ordered the group, "Come on. We don't have all day! Secure a rope to your body, so the captain can pull you up." While she spoke, Ferdiech tied the rope firm to Mrs. Yanneth's torso, who was furiously crying and complaining the whole time, "P-please! Let me go. I-I don't want to go with terrorists!" The rest of the group too began to latch the rope solidly around their waist. Fortunately, there were belts and handles to secure one's self completely for the ascension to the High Ride.

Porter offered to tie up Vivian, "Listen, girl. Secure yourself with this," Porter attempted to move the rope around Vivian's body, and if she were successful, she would use the belt to securely latch Vivian to the rope. Stretching herself thin despite the time crunch, Porter aided the girl, even with enemy Oracles speeding towards the High Ride. Porter assumed they had about two minutes, before the enemy's flying Oracles would arrive.

OOC Comments

A lot has happened for Turn 5. Originally, it was shorter and focusing on the roleplayers' characters, but yesterday, at the last minute, I thought about including additional details for each of the side characters. Hopefully, this will liven things up a bit and make things a bit realistic. Expect weekly posts, but they'll probably be on the last day of the week.

Unstoppable. He was unstoppable now. William could feel it coursing through his veins, building up a pressure behind his eyes that both excited and worried him. Adrenaline, what a hell of a drug.

A few explosions and crashes sounded somewhere within the school, but it went unnoticed by the slender man. William stared ahead at the stationary EMF soldiers with a horrifying glee. They were all helpless against his undeniably overpowering newfound weapon. Ignoring Porter and the others now, William strolled forward leisurely, his two henchman cautiously approaching behind him, unconvinced that the EMF would simply just surrender as they seemed to be doing.

Grinning evilly, William carelessly waved a hand ahead of him, "Kill them. Leave me that one." His finger now rested in the direction of the squad's apparent leader, who now also stiffened with a question dying in his lips as his breath soon would. A few sharp snaps that signalled the gunshots told William that the rest of the squad had been eliminated. He smiled grimly at Dorian, all the killer intent needed to end the soldier's life clearly evident in the nasty glint in William's eyes.

"An unfortunate situation you seemed to have found yourself in. Not to worry, The Black Gambler will put your concerns to rest." He moved forward ever so slowly, creeping in like a snake about to lunge at its prey. However William didn't feel like playing poisonous cobra right now. He's discovered that being the crushing python was often quite fun too.

"I know this must seem like a hopeless situation for you. It is. But it's okay, I can offer you a salvation. The ultimate passage to a more peaceful life. Well, I use 'life' loosely there." His hands snakes out, one gloved hand pinch the man's nose whilst the other cupped over the mouth. Fear was still evident in Dorian despite his paralysis. He was suffocating and he did not have the power to stop it. He was going to die now, here in this kill-zone of a school. William could feel it too, an overwhelming sense of pleasure washing over him.

"Come now, I know such experiences can leave you breathless. But do at least try to figure a way out of this one. It's not fun if you don't struggle." Whilst William did prefer to watch his prey suffer, he couldn't lie that this was almost just as rewarding for him regardless of what he had said. Slowly, the oxygen would be completely cut off from the man's brain, causing brain damage and eventually death. It was a terrifying and inevitable death that William had decided he would linger on and savour for just a little longer. The other terrorists with him looked on in discomfort at the sadistic spectacle, not wanting to get involved lest they fall under the spell of that monster's gaze.

"You can feel it, can't you? They say some people have a fear of suffocation. Are one such person, Mr EMF soldier? Well, I suppose we'll never find out now." Eventually Dorian's body gave out from oxygen starvation and collapsed on the floor, limp. William gazed at it longingly as his hands fell to his sides, almost wishing the soldier alive again so he could enjoy himself some more.

"Well, I suppose that is enough for today. We should be..." It was then that William noticed something odd. He felt a wetness on his lips. Was he actually crying? Bringing a hand to his mouth to wipe it away, William was shocked to see his hand came was stained in red. Taking a surprised step back, he quickly drew a handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed at his nose, the piece of cloth revealed even more of the crimson liquid.

The power came with a price then. Overexertion led to backlash in his own body, it seemed. Perhaps it would get better over time, perhaps it would get worse. William was not entirely sure of what it was that this power originated from, nor pretty much anything else about it. His knowledge of it extended to the ability to freeze people in place via eye contact to which it could possibly inflict damage to his own body. It was a curious thing, in and of itself. William began to wonder if anyone else had been given such power and if it differed to what he had obtained. Now that he thought about it, that one surviving student hadn't died with rest for whatever reason. Maybe she also had the vision he had had, she could have been given this Auger ability too. He frowned now, others who possessed this power were a threat who either needed to be made an ally or dealt with. William would have to decide which way that girl was to be handled soon enough: she had been taken back to the High Ride after all.

"Full retreat. We're done here." William abruptly pivoted and strode away from the now dead EMF soldiers quickly, eager to leave now. He would have to question Porter as to what the hell that suitcase was and generally just what was happening, especially to him. As he exited the building with his now smaller squad, he sighted the five mechs knelt in standby position. Nodding knowingly, he jogged over to it. As he reached the mech, gunshots rang out around him as sparks flew. Snipers had been stationed nearby and had apparently spotted them. William wasn't entirely sure why they hadn't fired earlier, then reasoned that they could possibly have been paralysed by him upon seeing his eyes, being freed as he disappeared behind his Oracle. Hopping in his piloting cabin, he started up his systems in preparing for a quick evacuation. One of the other High Tides men got in their Oracle as another was gunned down by the snipers.

Bringing his gun up, William fired three shots, one into the cabins of each unmanned Oracle beside him, so that the EMF couldn't get their hands on them. After he had done that, William activated his float at flew up and away from the sniper fire with his singular escort. As he travelled towards the High Ride, he remembered something. Feeling in his side pocket, William pulled out the keycard he had found on the late crazy EMF soldier he had ordered to death. Unsure what to really do with it, William simply studied it as his Oracle took him back to base.

Hachi Machi Hachi Machi

Vivian didn't really have time to crawl far before Porter had told her to get up. The older woman seemed confident in William's new found power. Enough to believe that they could just walk out unperturbed. Vivi got up and quickly dusted herself off before falling into step behind Porter. As they moved towards the roof, Vivi studied their escorts. They all seemed a bit too young to her. In fact, she'd say they had to be close in age to herself. One was a short male, another tall and female, while the last was a handsome boy with white hair and the tallest in the group. Gently, Vivi moved towards each of them and laid a hand on their arms. She thought now might be the time to at least get a grasp on her power.

The escorts didn't seem to mind too much. They may have thought that she was either trying to reassure them or herself. Regardless, Vivi counted silently to 10, thinking about the names of each of them, and where they were going. Experimentally, she tried opening and closing her eyes. She found that having her eyes closed made focusing easier, but harder to walk. In either case though, what she learned was just as clear. Their names were Chuck, Sophia, and Ferdiech respectively. Vivi moved away from them and thought about their destination. They were headed towards the High Tides headquarters, an airship referred to as High Ride. With the information, Vivi had gotten what she thought of as echos. Like information called other information, but didn't bring it forth. Like with High Ride, Vivi sensed something about the organization as a whole. But she didn't want to just keep touching them for fear of them growing suspicious.

In any case, she would be surrounded by people eventually. Her greatest fear was that they might turn her into some sort of guinea pig. As she was going back and forth on whether she should immediately tell anyone, the group had reached the roof. All around her Vivi could see smoke and destruction. Chuck reported that they had made it to the roof, and soon after ropes descended from above. Sophia then ordered them to secure the ropes, Mrs. Yanneth quickly starting to become upset. Vivian frowned, wishing that there was someway she could calm her teacher down. While she had been distracted by her teacher, Porter had come up behind Vivi. It seemed the older woman wanted to attach the ropes for her. Vivi lifted up her arms and allowed Porter to secure her to the rope. Vivi saw that Porter was getting nervous, so she did her best to remain still so Porter could get everything in order.
