Atlus: The Planet

The homeworld of the Principality of Atlus. Its climate is surprisingly similar to post-war Earth with a gravitational pull of 1.2Gs. Entry to the surface is strictly controlled by the Atlus Home Fleet keeping a constant watch on all approaches to the planet's orbit. Has a total of 5 capitals, 4 ruled by the Nobles with 1 main capital run by the Royal Family. The main planet of the Olympus System. Ruling this world would cause a massive spike in available resources from the Atlus colonies.

Kaisic War with UTA, KE asks for Atlus assistance to defend their home-world.

"our new friends, let us mend the wounds that we have inflicted eachother, and come together for another glorious and patriotic battle...

Now...what I will tell you will put me in hot water if this were to get out...

The way we Kaisics...'reproduce' is through the mass production factories that we have on Paremeth. This is currently under threat from selfish UTA forces, in their attempt to expand their territory.

As you are aware, the loss of this planet could mean extinction for our people...our way of life shall be forgotten.

We advise that your forces join in conjunction with ours, and create a unstoppable force capable of wiping out the UTA forces.

Just note, if this were happening to you instead, we would rush to your aid as quick as possible.

With good intentions- Harlkshire Kukenhimer, ambassador droid 227." -note from KHC (Kaisic High Command)

Atlus-Kaisic Relations:

Neutral Stance

"My dear Kaisic allies. By decree of the Crown Prince and after much debate. We have decided to honor our alliance and send our Colonial Fleet to your aid. But let it be known that our generosity must be repaid in full. We request a sample of each of your weapons and ships for research. We will give you 2 months for the exchange. May our will be ironclad in the face of the enemy. Strength through unity. Unity through freedom."

Promise delivered, Slightly...

A Kaisic ship soon arrived. It was the corvette, a mostly normal ship with an amazing engine.

the ship seemed abandoned, as the pilot abandoned the ship on it's slow course to the planet with a beacon to catch the attention of the Atlus.

There were no weapons on them.

Atlus Commisariat

Senior Commisar J.Kingley

"Slow ahead... There! Alright Sir, we're connected to the Kaisic ship. Running full scan prior to entry." Sgt Ainsley told me as I watched over this Penal Squad of Pathfinders work. I was lucky enough to have a hardworking man among the whole disobediant bunch. Sgt Elliot Ainsley was charged for inproper conduct when he was found with a certain female Noble's missing knickers in his possession. Despite Lady Bauduin seeing the humor behind it, her brother insisted that the poor lad be punished. That was how I ended up with him.

"Good. Remember, we are expendable so anyone cocks up the whole operation, we die." I said in my usual monotone voice as the Pathfinders grumpily prepared their carbines. I simply checked my revolver before I got the all-clear from Ainsley.

"Everyone in!" I order as doors to the boarding pod opened and everyone rushed out, guns at the ready only to be greeted by... Nothing.

"Oh come off it! Bloody tincans, is this it?! What a load of bollocks!" I heard one of my men cry out in frustration. I simply clicked my earpiece.

"HQ this is Falcon 1. All clear. The ship seems empty."

Thinning Patience

"My Kaisic Allies. We do not find your delivery amusing or helpful in any way. While the ship did indeed have a fine engine, it did not contain anything else. Not even a single soldat or droid was aboard. We sincerely hope that your next delivery will prove useful or else, there will be consequences."

Kaisic-Atlus Relations:

Uncertainties, mistrust.

"My Fellow Atlus Friends, I apologies for this incident, but I cannot do anything about it.

As you are aware, sending weapon tech to a former combatant; especially after the war ended in a stale-mate, is Extremely risky.

If we were to send weapon tech, and if your intentions are to harm us, then you could easily develop stronger things to directly counter our tech. Again, this isn't because of our hatred for you. We have no qualms with you or your people.

We simply want to protect ourselves .

We will send more things your way, but don't expect it to be anything fancy or new. Our old weaponry, although similar to our new tech, may indeed prove some use.

Sorry, once our relations become better (And there are no chances of us being stabbed in the back) then we shall share our tech and military forces.

until then, our old tech shall suffice."

[Transmission from the Supreme Councilman

of the United Human Republic of Alkar]

This is Supreme Councilman Johnathan Katol of the United Human Republic of Alkar. Me, my council, and my people understand that we have had problems in the past. But shall we let the past be the past and may both our people look to the future. My planet has come to a need of resources and we are having to resort to militaristic methods of gaining them. We, the people of Alkar, are requesting an alliance between our people. May this one be stronger than the last and bring peace and prosperity to our people. We await your response.

Exchange Proposal. A Gift of Trust.

"Very well. Seeing as how we both have the same goals of self-defense, I offer your people a gift. Expect a troop transport with an engineerimg team and a sample of each of our defensive equipment to be in orbit around Diagna within 2 weeks. There we shall do an inspection of each of our people's equipment while under the watchful eye of both our militaries. I trust that this will lead to a better understanding of our cultures and work ethics."

Atlus-Alkar Relations:

Seeds of Trust

"Greetings United Human Republic of Alkar. After much discussion by our Noble Council and with his Majesty's blessing, we are prepared to start a brand new relationship with your Republic. As for the resources, we shall see if we can spare a portion of it for your people. May our old, dark history never be repeated."

Arrival

The Corvette finally reached it's destination.

It came out of warp and quickly slowed it'self on entry. the tension of the cabin immediately dispersed and faded.

After some time of silence, the pilot spoke.

"Radio op, get the Atlus' attention. Their present has arrived."

The radio-op nodded and sent a signal to the Atlus crews.

The pilot turned to one of the side panels, pressing a button and leaning close to the panel.

"Cargo hold 1 through 3; escort your gifts to the entrance bay, Infantry: please report to escort and supervise this transaction. Thank you.."

the droid cut the recorder and sat back in his seat.

Hopefully they would accept this...

In the hanger, P2 bots stood in pairs in the corners of the room, looking over the two Old Guard infantrymen. Four more soon entered with an opened metallic crate filled with Kaisic Soldier spare parts. the crate next to it held VERY old kaisic weaponry.

Atlus Merchant Fleet

Rear Admiral Daniel Bauduin

"There we are gentlemen... Welcome home." I announced as the ship exited warp. The sight of the Home Fleet ships and the orbital dock was a sight to behold. Indeed, some of the crew members openly wept at the sight. Some of the men on board had completely given up and now, home is right in front of them. If I'm being honest, I felt the same too. It felt like I was away for months, years would be exaggerating. The joy we felt was dampened when a Drake-class battleship loomed over us, its cannons aimed directly at our ship.

"Steady men... Set up a communications..." I ordered, steeling my nerves at the intimidating sight. Our lives are on the line here. And just when we are within reach of home.

"Almost there..."

Atlus Noble Council

"I REFUSE!" Baron Bauduin shouted, slamming the table with an angry fist and causing one of the nearby guards to flinch slightly. The Head of the Bauduin family was furious, a sadly common sight nowadays which is why the rest of the Nobles treated the sight as something normal.

"And why would you refuse, Bauduin? Isn't it your son that was killed by the Terran forces? Would this be the best course of action?" Viscount Cromwell asked in a barely disguised jab at the elder Bauduin. The Foreign Affairs Minister felt smug at the seeming incompetence of the Bauduins. First the loss of Diagna and now the fact that the Heir-Apparent has gone missing for a few months. He took immense joy in seeing the Bauduin head seeth with anger and wanted that moment to last longer.

"Albus, that's enough! I do not approve of your tone!" Duke Harken interjected. The tall man rose from his seat and practically radiated authority as the highest ranking Noble. Viscount Cromwell simply smirked and nodded.

"Very well. Please continue."

"Don't act so high and mighty you worm! You don't deserve your position!" Baron Bauduin suddenly shouted, leaping out of his seat and slammijg the table with both hands. His anger reaching the boiling point.

"Arlet please. Ca-"

"Don' you 'Arlet please' me, Archibald! That smug parasite is doing this on purpose to make me look bad!" Baron Bauduin interjected Harken's attempts to calm him down while glaring at the smug Cromwell with loathing. He was about to go into another angry tirade when a Commisar barged into the Council room.

"Pardon my intrusion, Milords! Father!" Chief Commisar Emilia Harken respectfully apologized, panting in exhaustion with her normally impeccable uniform slightly askew.

"What's the situation, Emilia?" Duke Harken asked, slighlty concered with his adopted daughter's state. The Commisar took a moment to catch her breath and neaten up her uniform.

"You would not believe this, Milord Bauduin!" Emilia started, her words grabbing the attention of everyone present. "But he's returned!"

"... 'He'? Who is this person Emilia?" Baron Bauduin asked impatiently, his anger was cooling down but Emilia's vague report was making him feel irritated. Emilia was about to answer when the door opened a second time.

"That would be me, Father." To everyone's shock, Daniel Bauduin himself strode into the room, a proud smile on his face. "So tell me, what did I miss?"
