    History
    Growing up Akira never celebrated her birthday because it fell on the first day of Obon, the Festival of Souls, and her family was always much too busy prepping for the 3 day celebration of their deceased ancestors to focus on celebrating her living through another year, especially because Obon started on her birthday.

    But even so, Akira never really took much notice or that about it seeing as she was just as caught up in Obon as everyone else, so she really never understood what was so important about a birthday when all she knew was that the Festival of Souls began on hers.

    At a very early age while growing up, her parents began to take note that Akira seemed to almost never be paying attention to certain things and a difficulty hearing others. Her parents initially assumed that she was being a difficult child, still learning the girl's mannerisms since she was adopted, and choosing not to pay attention, but as time went on it seemed to get worse and so they finally decided to take her to the hearing doctor just in case, which is how they found out that their daughter's hearing was deteriorating, but the doctor's could not tell if it would just suddenly stop at one point or if she would become completely deaf, but they knew for a fact that she would be partially deaf in both of her ears and need hearing aids.

    By seven years old, when she was officially old enough to attend Mahoutokoro, Akira was already wearing hearing aids, doing accidental magic at home on a daily basis; driving her parents mad, and feeling like an outcast amongst the other wizard kids.

    Because of her strong desire to not always feel like the outside or the exception, Akira began to develop an interest muggle culture, studying it in and outside of school, ever since she learned there were quite a few muggle kids with her medical issue and it wasn't as look down upon as it was in the magic community.

    As time went on, and she was old enough to stay at Mahoutokoro as a full-time student, Akira was now into all types of muggles objects and would wear their clothing and tinker with their items to make a muggle/magic mix contraption. At first, it still hurt to be teased by her fellow school mates, but as time went on, she stopped caring and focused on her school work and side projects.

    Surprisingly, once she stopped caring her fellow peers started to like her more and would constantly ask for updates on her most recent projects and hang out with her. She was one of those few to graduate with golden robes at the end of her school years at Mahoutokoro. Following her graduation, Akira registered as a legal animagus in the shape of a fox under the mentoring of one of an old teacher.
