Within the Depths of a Dream
There is no “hell” in this universe. No fiery pit of doom where sinful souls are cast down to suffer for all eternity. There is, however, Artorus or more commonly known as The Abyss. The plane is not only the place where souls go after their body’s death, but the domain of Sirris the Exiled.

Inkar

The first level of Artorus, this is the place were freshly disembodied souls are sent if their death was unplanned such as at a young age or murder. The landscape is more of how it was during their lifetime aside from constantly being submerged in a night-esc time of day. Those here are eased into the transition while going through something similar to the five stages of grief. The shock and denial of their current status, anger and guilt that they felt they had done something wrong, bargaining a way out, a deep depression, and then finally acceptance.

Yarda

The second level of Artorus is where souls who have accepted their death are then transferred. There are two ways to get here, either moving through the stages in Inkar, or having accepted their eventual parting such as an elderly mortal or one stricken with a grave illness. The landscape is similar to the last although with a few differences from normal life such as no need to sleep, eat, and a bit more freedom seeing as the delicate transition is already complete.

Saray

The third level of Artorus is where Sirris’ grand palace made of the darkest obsidian and the purest white of stained glass. The whole level is just the expansive palace, those who the goddess chooses and those who’ve shown potential end up.

Nebun

The final and deepest level of Artorus, this is the only level that is comparable to hell. It is where those who are deserving of eternal torture are sent. This can either come about by being a criminal in life, losing one’s sanity within the other levels, or harshly betraying Sirris. The landscape is a wasteland void of everything except a darkly colored dust. Formless it is swept by the dry wind that coats the level endlessly.
