Not many people know about his childhood and adolescent years in the Southern Republic, but there are fringe rumors about his past. Since becoming ArchDiocese he has employed the Paladins more directly than any other ArchDiocese in recent memory. Gabriel has been keeping a close eye on scattered mysterious reports from across the Northern Kingdoms. He has a growing suspicion that something dark is growing outside of the church's jurisdiction, but it is still just a theory and he only discusses it with people he completely trusts. The ArchDiocese knew Archus from the time that he was just a boy and he always did like his piety and grit. Since Archus became a paladin they have kept a letter correspondence regarding life, the church, and other spiritual or personal things. Gabriel keeps the wandering Paladin in the loop about church happenings, and Archus tells Gabriel of his adventures abroad.
