TV & Film Any favorite old movies/remakes?

Mine totally has to be Blade! I remember watching it when I was younger, and can't wait to see the new remake

Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai is definitely one of my favorite films. I don't think that I'd want to see a remake. It's hard to imagine anyone holding a candle to Mifune or Shimura. It's been awhile since I've watched it so maybe I'll take this as a sign I should settle down with it. I'm also a fan of most of Kurosawa's other films, especially Yojimbo/Sanjuro and Red Beard.

A boy and his dog has always been a favorite of mine. It's funny, dark, tense, and entertaining.

This is gonna sound weird as hell, but the documentary Grey Gardens based around the elderly mother and daughter who are shut-ins and former socialites related to the Kennedys (through marriage I think?).

Godzilla: King of the Monsters 1956.
Amazing movie that ended up having an even more amazing remake.

 

[Emotional Enigma]

I always recommend people watch Paprika. Its kind of old but still really good imo. Also Memoirs of a Geisha is an amazing movie.
