Origin:
Rose Quartz, Steven's mother, loved the Earth and was dedicated to protecting it, no matter the cost. She lived here for thousands of years, dating humans in an attempt to understand who they are, yet not learning true human nature until meeting Greg, Steven's father.
After a few years of dating him, Rose had decided to experience the miracle of childbirth, seeing Sour Cream as a baby helped her make up her mind. She shapeshifted a womb for herself, knowing of the consequences if holding this for a full 9 months. She thought that Steven would be the key to bringing together gems and humans, the one thing she aimed for.
After Steven's birth, Rose "died", and he inherited his mother's gem. He was raised by his father during his baby/toddler years, but around 10 years old, he started living with the gems in the newly built house.

Personality: Steven is a very optimistic, cheerful boy, seeking to find the good in others, no matter how many bad things they may have done. He is very family/friendship oriented, keeping loved ones close and trying to make sure that everyone around him is happy.
He is also very childish, being a young teen, loving to play video games as well as his action figures/stuffed animals.
He has a very pacifist attitude, not wanting to resort to violence to resolve conflict and preferring a peaceful way of going about this. This is often a weakness he has, since many enemies are just the opposite (such as Jasper), not accepting his peaceful ways.
When Steven is determined, there's nearly no way you can stop him from completing a goal. He wil go out of his way to figure out problems, no matter the cost.
Though he is a positive, good-natured child, he has recently, but slowly, has been gaining self-esteem issues, due to everyone expecting him to be like his mother and not truly himself.
Likes: Playing instruments (mostly his ukulele), befriending/bonding with others, helping others, learning new things (particularly gem stuff, such as new powers and the like)
Dislikes: Being compared on a scale to his mother, hurting others, feeling useless, square pizza
Weapon:
Shield - His weapon, as inherited from his mother, is a pink shield with a rose/thorns designed on the front. This can be used both defensive and offensively, defensive by blocking any sort of weapon/sound, while he can throw it at others offensively.
Bubble - When in danger, Steven can form a bubble around him (as well as others if they are next to him), protecting the ones inside from any threats outside of the bubble. This bubble can shrink and grow, depending on the size Steven wants it, but it costs more energy to make it bigger, while less energy when it is smaller.
There are two abilities known with this bubble. One the outside of it can form spikes sticking out from it, making it to where it can stick into places as well as be used offensively by being thrown at/rolled at an enemy.
The other is that th bubble can stretch and form around another person nearby. once it has formed around, Steven can pull in the other to join him in the main bubble.
Floating - Like the other gems, Steven has the ability to jump to a very high height, along with floating and landing with ease.
Super Strength - Self-explanatory, Steven is much stronger compared to the average human.
