Hey! Just a few rules for this.
  1. Children of canon characters are allowed, but make sure you pass it by me first, so nothing I have planned conflicts with any ideas ya have! Don't be afraid to experiment!
  2. Be realistic. Don't have your alchemist be able to use fire alchemy, water alchemy, and every other alchemy. At most, they know basic alchemy, and one specialized form.
  3. Same for non-alchemists. Don't make them unstoppable killing machines.
  4. No Homunculi (yet.) Philosopher's Stones are incredibly powerful, so yeah.
  5. Have fun!

(Yes, I know it's sci-fi. Just couldn't find anything else.)

Family/Significant Other:
Father: Catatonic
Mother: Deceased
Significant Other: Girlfriend, Alive (Duh)

Rank: Major

Alchemic Technique:
Lightning Alchemy: Pretty self explanatory. Through careful research, Ben is able to use alchemy to manipulate the electrons in the air, thus creating various kinds of electricity. He has become quite proficient in the art, having created gloves that allow him to easily create bolts of electricity, similar to Mustang's gloves.

Alchemist Alias: The Lightning Alchemist

Personality: Ben is not a soldier at heart. He's a scientist, and a damn good one, at that. He loves every kind of knowledge, especially alchemy. He's known for locking himself in his study for hours on end, experimenting and studying until he passes out. He has a naturally curious nature, always wanting to know the why and how. This does effect his social life, though. He has missed several dates due to his research, though he has gotten much better about it. He is prone to being a smartass as well, and a general know-it-all.

Backstory: Benjamin was born a year before the Promised Day, having very little memories of it. He does occasionally have vivid nightmares of being trapped inside Father, however. His father was a State Alchemist, as was his mother. They were both known for their research into alchemy regarding the manipulation of electricity. They would often spend hours upon hours doing research, while Ben was left to his own devices. He found comfort in knowledge, reading the books on alchemy that he could find lying around. He of course didn't understand it at first, but he eventually learned a thing or two, only furthering his love of alchemy. His mother was never able to see her life's work complete, however, as she died of disease when Ben was young. His father became obsessed with learning the secrets of lightning alchemy, pushing his son further and further. Ben went to the best college his father could send him to, where he met his future girlfriend, one of the children of Roy Mustang, who was currently up to be Fuhrer. They met in the library, where they both bonded over alchemy, before eventually starting a relationship after they had graduated. Ben returned home, only to find his father a broken, bitter man. In a last ditch attempt to finally see his dream come true, Ben's father attempted to make an exchange for the knowledge via alchemy. He learned the secrets of lightning alchemy, but at a cost. He became catatonic, trapped in his own body, unable to move. Ben was the one who finally saw his parents lifelong worked through, submitting both a thesis, as well as a demonstration to pass his State Alchemist exam when he was 18. He was assigned to the squad for his incredible knowledge of alchemy, as well as, well, knowing the Fuhrer via his own daughter.

Family/Significant Other:

Michael Thorne, Father (Deceased)

Tachiagari Thorne, Father (Deceased)

Lucian Thorne, Brother (Missing)

Rank: Major

Alchemic Technique:

Light Alchemy - A technique still in the process of being refined. Started by his parents, Micah inherited this style of alchemy that allows him to manipulate the particles in the air to bend light. This lets him focus light, bend it to hide things, or focus it to create an intense heat. At the moment all he can do is bend light, thus making something seem cloaked or absent from one’s sight.

Alchemist Alias: The Shining Alchemist

Personality:

Because of his lifestyle, Micah is almost always happy. Naturally he is an optimistic guy and normally Micah is pretty calm and level-headed. He often thinks things through before acting upon them. A kind heart guides Micah in almost all things as he desires to spread love and prosperity. His kindness is something that Micah is known for, as he's even nice to those that dislike him. While he isn't one to start a battle, Micah is very strong-willed and he isn't the type to simply roll over.

Interacting with others is easy for, Micah and always has been. He is always kind and polite to those he talks to, even if he does forget his manners sometime. Micah is a good listener, thanks to having interesting friends. He pays attention very well to the wants and needs of others. He also doesn't mind going out of his way to help people. He sees himself as following in mother nature's footsteps, by putting others and their needs before his own.

Backstory:

With one parent being a scientist and the other being a soldier life was never simple for Micah and his brother. Tachiagari was a biologist from Xing while Michael was a state alchemist in the Amestris. The two met one day by chance in the Eastern Desert when both got separated from their parties and needed to assist one another to survive. Although Tachiagari was an alchemist he wasn’t as skilled as Michael, but their joint cooperation would lead to the creation of Light Alchemy. The research didn't stop them from adopting two boys that had become orphaned. They started their life in Amestris, working for the government.

Micah was the older brother and so his father looked to him to be the inheritor of Light Alchemy. As a soldier he knew that very rarely did the research ever get finished by one generation. Micah wasn’t the best student but as Lucian was no student at all he was the only option. Because he was always with one of his parents, learning and researching, Micah developed a very carefree personality and adopted a laid back attitude. Although all of his free time was spent in the lab working on alchemy he barely understood, he learned to find the joy in the small things like a sunny day or a really funny joke.

When he and his brother Lucian joined the military, Tachiagari protested a bit, but wasn’t able to persuade them to choose another course. The exam that should have been celebrated due to their success turned into a day of mourning. Reports came in that both of Micah’s parents had died in a massive fire that burned down their house. When he went to consul his younger brother Micah was unable to find Lucian and heard from other students that Lucian broke down and ran off. With no guidance or support now he turned to the use of recreational drugs to keep that happy demeanor he once had. After that Micah committed to the idea of becoming a state alchemist and registered with Light Alchemy. He was given a spot on a special squad after his demonstration impressed his peers and higher-ups.

Shooting down my enemies with precise strikes is all I've got. Without that, who am I?
Jiao-Long McAllister

  • Name: Jiao-Long McAllister

    Age: 26

    Ethnicity: Half-Amestrian, Half-Xingese

    Height: 5'9"

    Weight: 161 lbs

    Eye Color: Blue

    Hair Color: Black

Appearance: Jiao-Long is a man that stands at a height of 5'6". Inheriting the black hair of his mother and the blue eyes of his father, he certainly looks like an exotic mix between the two Purebloods. Gaining a face that would most likely be passed off as Xingese but also getting the frame of a rather well-built Amestrian would also gave it perfectly away. His body frame is rather lean and well-built, but his muscles doesn't bulge out nor is he took keen on showing it off.

When on duty, he keeps wearing the usual military uniform with small modifications such as the two sashes of knives hidden underneath his coat and another one wrapped around his waist along with his sidearm and a rifle. When off duty, however, he seems to prefer rather casual clothing and has been seen playing between Amestrian styled outfits and Xingese-styled outfits which his mother had made for him. He never leaves without at least one sash of knives around him along with his sidearm.

    Family/Significant Other:
    • Robert McAllister [Alive] - Father
    • Lie Rin [Alive] - Mother

Name:
Elizabeth "Lillibet" Crossley

Age:
24

Height:
5'5"

Weight:
145 lbs

Eye Color:
Blue

Hair Color:
Blonde

Appearance:
A slim, strong woman known for her curvaceous hips and fair looks. With delicate features, her high cheekbones are softened by youth and jaw sculpted in a smooth upward curve. Nimble hands make for a steady aim and quick jabs in fistfighting whilst they offer ladylike size and light-touch, something which is a boon in the intelligence core. Slender shoulders are oft draped with her military coat, the collar ironed but holding her head high enough it seems to never chafe or dare put a fibre on porcelain skin. Her rapier is almost always slung on her hip as a ceremonial, but deadly, reminder of her station. Outside of being on-duty, she prefers loose blouses and soft pastel coloured jumpers. Between that, her hair is found in a variety of styles from plaits, buns, or simply falling below her chin. Especially being tied up for combat situations, should the locks get caught or otherwise.

Family/Significant Other:
Father - Major General James Crossley [Alive]
Mother - State Alchemist Mary Crossley [Deceased]
Brother - State Alchemist Albert Crossley [Alive]
SO - N/A

Rank:
First Lieutenant

Personality:
Elizabeth, contrary to her comely looks, is a fighter through and through. She's a fierce, manipulative woman who takes into account what batting her eyelashes can get her. Still, Crossley is as honourable as you can get when it comes to intelligence officers. Behind protective walls and disorientating personalities that were made to lead others on, Lillibet is still that bubbly, mischevious soul that ran through muddy gardens and ruined dresses. Quite the stress smoker, she can be found outside on Monday mornings with a cigarette or during a high-pressure situation; never quite managing two packs a day as some older fellas seem to. She's oft flirtatious to get her own ways, prideful of her heritage and never seems to speak much of her brother. Glad that his alchemy keeps him from matters that require good soldiers. As much as she's a sweet girl, Liz is more than capable of providing some alarming opinions on the current democracy and the Ishval province. Overall, she is certainly not the most tolerant of those who've put their life to the military. One should instead be afraid of her from the standpoint of the skills garnered working in the shadows.

Backstory:
The Crossley family has always been soldiers, they are the infantrymen, the intelligence, the armoury. They are the lifeblood of officers and ancestry with a rich history. Elizabeth and her brother have spent their lives dedicated to Amestris, both pure-blooded with conservative values implemented by their father. However, Albert deviated from such strong indoctrination when he joined the ranks of alchemists. Elizabeth has not relinquished hers. She was the first born daughter, the apple of her father's eyes and forever excelling above and beyond her rank. She had her mothers looks, James' tenacity, and an ambition to follow grand footsteps. Major General Crossley, nevertheless, has a muddied history and cruel streak. One of the petty officers during the Ishval civil war, he's been attributed with massacres and known for his violent policies against civilians. It was during the time out there on the frontlines, James discovered more to himself than he thought possible. By the end of the conflict, he met Mary, a woman willing to fix a man people believed couldn't be. They married in the summer that year and birthed their first child a couple later. Everything was as it should be. Albert came years after and completed their nuclear family. Crossley became close with Lockheed during the border scuffles that came later, near Drachma which were marked by his classic casefile of mass murder.

Mary died when Lillibet was seven and her brother was five, suicide they called it. Found with a hole in her head after taking James' gun and doing the deed. She left nothing behind for them. Elizabeth was distraught, her family in tatters and her father retreated mostly. Imparting wisdom and pride where it was needed to coax the two siblings along. He seemed to grow fonder of Elizabeth and her choices, encouraging her to join the ranks of the military as he once had, besides her immense interest in sports and gymnastics which aided her in the years to come. She was her father's daughter, whilst Albert was left out in the cold. It drove him away and to the legacy his mother left behind. Alchemy.

She worked hard for where she managed to get herself. Going through basic induction and acting as a private, using her father's name as a way to command respect. She excelled in swordsmanship but left such sparring as a mere hobby and turned her sights to marksmanship. Her eye with a rifle was equally great however, pistols appeared to be one of her weaknesses. She never did have the hands for a side-arm, she was eloquent in every sense of the word. Nevertheless, Elizabeth fought her scuffles and proved what she could do. In the end, what else was there? Those skills of fine education and articulate speaking translated well into processing data, decoding, and intelligence. The sweet face and bountiful charisma proved even more so. Beyond the stern authority they were taught to hold, the young woman passed one of the few offered exams for the intelligence bureau and accepted a promotion there.

Upon reaching the unit, she was met with Lockheed. The old family friend and now it appeared, senior officer. Elizabeth has worked under him for over two years now and counting, putting her faith in the older man that he may keep her opinions between them and other discussion, often referring to him on a first name basis off the clock -- if at all they pass.

Family/Significant Other:
Father: Arthur Klement [64 years old] | automail mechanic, retired/teacher of Rasima Klement
Mother: Rosa Klement [61 years old] | Author, Historian
Sister: Rasima Klement [28 years old] | automail mechanic

Rank:
Brigadier General

Alchemic Technique:
Flame Alchemy

Alchemist Alias:
The Wildfire Alchemist

Personality:
Anita Klement, through the guise of the professionalism and slight suck-uppishness, she shows to her superiors, had garnered a reputation that will surprise anyone who actually meets her for the first time, given they are equal or below her own rank, and not under supervision of those who oh-so-adore her. In reality, Anita is a bubbly, lighthearted individual who just so happens to have the smarts to back up her position in the government. Despite the fact that she is constantly being pushed to produce more alchemic findings in her field, she'd never complain, and especially wouldn't be caught dead asking for help, whether it was fetching some paperwork, or aiding in some experiment or another. As for the "personality" Anita puts on for her superiors, she does her best to be professional and tends to act like the infamous idea of a "teacher's pet," though there are rare exceptions. Those exceptions being people Anita knows on a personal level. Of course, this professional personality tends to be rather uncommon these days given her age and rank.

Backstory:
Anita grew up in Rush Valley, with her parents and younger sister. Despite the age difference between the two, Anita and Rasima were amazingly close. Even though they didn't have the same interests in all areas, Rasima falling in love with their father's work, and Anita finding alchemy mesmerizing, for a long while, they found a strong common ground with history; their mother's profession. They loved the stories before bed and on lonesome afternoons, they were seemingly never disinterested in the random facts that Rosa recalled at any point of the day.

However, there are many things that changed on the Promised Day. For one, it sparked a discussion between Arthur and Rosa about whether it was actually safe to stay in Amestris. Arthur thought it would be best for all to stay in Rush Valley- after all, that's where their family, friends, and home were. Rosa argued that, because of the Promised Day and the events leading up to it, there would be no use in staying home of another war broke out, and she had a feeling it would be many times worse than the Ishval Civil War. Rasima sided with Arthur, while Anita sided with Rosa. This effectively split the family in half, and in the months trailing the even that sparked this conflict, Rasima and Anita grew distant, no longer talking at all by the time the one year "anniversary" of the Promised Day hit. One short week after that, Rosa and Anita were headed North in an attempt to find some way out of the country.

It should be noted, that through all this time, Anita Klement was nowhere near as.. passionate about leaving the country as her mother was. In fact, she wasn't even entirely sure about whether she wanted to leave at all, especially after they reached Central City and realized the full extent of alchemy that could be achieved. It was this place that made her realize how foolish leaving would be; Amestris, despite the rather un-peaceful past, was being transformed from the inside out, by none other than Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist. After a few days of staying in the city, her mother attempting to find a suitable place to leave to, Anita began trying to convince her to stay in Central City. This, quite frankly, did not make her very happy. She was trying to protect them! Who would want to stay in an unstable country like Amestris! Despite her background as a historian, she had no eye for the future. Rosa couldn't see the fact that Amestris was changing to be a better nation, and Anita realized the magnitude of her mistake in siding with her mother in this issue. Having been disowned by her family in Rush Valley, and now without the will to stay with her mother, Rosa was truly the unstable one, evident in the fact that she let Anita, only 13 at the time, go off on her own to live in Central City.

By the time Anita Klement became of age, she was already self-sufficient, and had secretly been researching the secret of Roy Mustang's special form of alchemy. Despite the fact that it had to be essentially re-created from scratch, assuming the validity of rumors and speculation, she was making considerable progress. Often she would find herself questioning whether it was worth all the effort, but found herself looking forward to it the very next morning. It had become something she couldn't let go of figuring out, and the longer she experimented and developed, the more her passion grew.

Ten years after the Promised Day, at age 22, Anita Klement and her research were recognized by the government, and was made to be a State Alchemist after an impossibly short process of proving the rumors of her flame alchemy being real. She was, without a doubt, nowhere near as controlled in her flames as The Flame Alchemist was, but it was still being developed, and growing in versatility year after year. When she caught wind of a special squad being formed to combat the MBA, Anita was on top of it in no time.

Sister: Rasima Klement [28 years old] | automail mechanic

Though she loves her research, she is irritated by being constantly monitored for process in current experiments. Currently, her research has only yield a product that can be uses by alchemist but she presses on until this puzzle is solved. When she allows herself to get out of the lab, she indulges in comforts that she can scarcely afford, relying on her good looks to fit the bill, otherwise using her military rank to bully commoners into giving in.

She is the younger sister of Hayden Schuler a soldier who many though to be missing after he was to report in at Central City. In actuality, he is being kept in a sub level of Laboratory 3, the victim of his own father's vicious deeds. He is a mix of automail and alchemic augmentation, paid for with the death of their mother. When he was found, he was absence of his senses and completely rabid. Vesta is being working to find a way to calm his mind and as payment, she is working tirelessly on military tech and research. His whereabouts and identity must be kept a secret, if anyone found out he was there, the public outcry for his head would mean her poor innocent brother would die not a man, but as their father's monster. She is often compared to her father, and never in a nice way, her intellect and paternity make her a threat to many around her.

Appearance:
random_maya_by_kasuria_d5hictd-fullview.jpg

Family/Significant Other:
Father: Alive
Mother: Alive:
Sibling(s): Alive
Boyfriend: Alive (Duh)

Rank: None, not a State Alchemist

Alchemic Technique: Electromagnetic Alchemy:

Though it's still a work-in-progress, Emily, alongside Ben, has developed a unique form of alchemy. Using the already discovered Electrical Alchemy, Maya uses said electricity to manipulate ferro-magnetism. Basically, she can increase or decrease the magnetism of anything containing iron or nickel, though it is still in development. So far, they have only been able to cause a coin to stick to a small iron rod for a few seconds, but they have been making great progress, and they expect to create a more efficient transmutation circle in the next few months. They also plan to hand some of their research over to Vesta Schuller, as they intend it to he used for utility by non-Alchemists, something she herself is researching.

Alchemist Alias: None

Personality: Emily has many of the traits of her parents, both good and bad. She is incredibly intelligent, calm under pressure, confident, and stubborn as hell. She's also a massive smartass, as evident by her snarky jests that she throws at Ben. She's highly intellectual as well, rarely believing anything unless given solid proof of it. She does have her heart in the right place, though. Right in her chest (hehe, get it? It's not funny, I'm just tired.)

Backstory: Emily was born in the presidential palace on May 3rd, 1917, being the first of Roy and Riza Mustang's children (maybe even the only one. Not sure yet.) Despite her place in the world, she was treated like any other child by her parents, the two wanting her to not be burdened by their pasts. Emily would often spend hours upon hours in the library, reading the various books on alchemy that lay on the shelves. She was a prodigy at a young age, even if her father made her promise she wouldn't become a State Alchemy, or use Fire Alchemy. She of course promised, instead becoming fascinated by the concept of using alchemy to manipulate electricity. After graduating from high school and attending the best college possible, she met Ben Abram's, the very person who would perfect Lightning Alchemy. The two were originally lab partners, and bonded over their love of knowledge and alchemy. They perfected Lightning Alchemy together, eventually dating after a lot of awkwardness on both ends. They both graduated, and moved into an apartment together, with Emily getting a job at the university, as that was the only other place she could get funding for her research besides the military.

(A bit short, but it's really just here for reference. Plus I'm tired and about to go to sleep.)

Wilhelm Lockheed, Brother, Alive (35)
Franziska Lockheed, Sister, Alive (27)
Werner Lockheed, Brother, Alive(27)

Rank: Colonel

Alchemic Technique: N/A

Alchemist Alias: N/A

Personality: A demanding, cold, aloof and strict person, Lockheed is a man of few words, unless he's in the company of people who he deems worthy of his attention, which are very rare as Colonel Lockheed has few people that he'd call friends. A man detached from Civilian life, and self-isolated in Military circles due to his beliefs about the current state of Amestris. He believes himself to be what every Officer of the state should be like. Effecient and Professional. meanwhile he has managed to retain a deeply dark and sarcastic manner of humour, one of the many legacies of the Front.

Backstory: Third son and the fourth child of the Lockheed Household, a family with a history in tailoring in the small city of New Optain, if their oral tradition was to be believed than they had been Tailors ever since 1781. One of the most vivid memories is of him and his family watching the Soldiers march off to the trainstation to go fight in Ishval for the Fatherland, he was so impressed that he got his Father to enroll him to a Military Middle School, begining the start of his carreer in the Army, He Finished the Academy in 1921with medicore scores at the age of 24 as a Second Liutenant.

Serving under the Draconian Colonel Crossley, He was assigned to the Northern Garrision, which soon saw action upon the escalation of the border conflict with Drachma, to say the least, the details of the deeds commited under Crossley are better left unsaid and redacted from official records. He remained in the Northern Front till 1924, which had a lasting effect on Lockheed's personality

Re-deployed to the Western Front in 1924 under a new unit. Fortunately being assigned as part of an Occupuation force, holding a strategicly important town in he hills. Here he developed a relationship with one of the locals albeit it was cut short by his platoon being redeployed to the frontline and the Ceasefire of 1925.
The Uprising of 1926, fueled by the defeat in both the North and the West and the death of the beloved Führer Grumman, engulfed serveral cities, including Central in chaos and anarchy for serveral weeks, and it was this enviroment that Captain Lockheed returned to. Once again under Crossley's command, he participated in the supression of the Revolution. Sweeping Central one street at a time. He was there to witness the lynching of Gertrude Weisberg, the Revolutionary leader. Upon the restoration of Order, Lockheed's later statements to his comrades in arms suggests that the level of brutality that they used was disturbing and that he later regreted taking part in killing his own countrymen. He was appointed as the head of a Military-Police HQ in outer Central.

In 1930 Major Lockheed was appointed as the Commander of a Batallion in Ishval, to fight against the Ishvalan Libration Front. Insurgents terrorizing Amestris. He and his Batallion showed remarkable success in supressing the insurgents. Dealing them a heavy blow by encircling a large pocket of Insurgents in the Sand Dunes and forcing their surrender.

After the Compromise of 1933 with the Ishvalan Insurgents, Lockheed, along with all Amestrian presence in Ishval was recalled to Central for re-deployment. Due to his efficiency in dealing with the terrorists in the Ishval Insurgency, and ability to maintain order in the streets, Major Lockheed was promoted to the Rank of Liutenant Colonel and assigned to the Military Police in East City, where he once again served exceptionaly, bringing many long forgoten cases to an end. With the recent upheveal and rumours of Anti-Mustang activity he's been assigned to the Intelligence in Central to look into the case.

Other:

-December 13th 1921-
We,'re back in the Third Line. Even the Artillary sounds so distant now. Förstner and I decided to take a stroll while off duty and came upon a scene of the company cook arguing with the soldiers, It turns out half the company was shelled to death yet the cook was unaware of the development so had cooked the full meal and ordered the rations accordingly, and now was refusing to give the extra to the soldiers, we intervened in the Soldier's behalf. It was their due. We smoked with the NCO's afterwards. It looks like the Men are losing faith in Victory, I sadly agree with them. As the weeks pass and the frontline remains my dreams of ever returning home as a hero of the Republic crumble, I've not witnessed the heroism of war that our elders always talked about but sheer carnage. Förstner remains steadfast that we'll be in Drachma's Capital by the New years eve. I remain sceptical.

-January 1st 1922-
I was the Goalkeeper for the Thirty First Platoon today. We showed those damned Drachs! And won the Great Northern Cup, which is a whole box of Drachman Ciagarettes, they taste as expected of Drach quaility but still better than nothing.

-November 2st 1923-
Slusser went out of the dugout this morning to check up on the new conscripts, most of them boys who barelly turned sixteen. Turns out he died while distracted with his little hoby of sketching, One of those damned Drachman snipers. They target us officers to break morale. It was a quick death, a mercyful one, shot right through his head. Got Höfler's boots before they carried him away, He won't be needing them any more in the heaven of the Matyrs. Höfler wasn't lying about the quality of the boots, It served him, Förstner, Eckstein, Webel and Slusser yet it's still in better condition than the shit that Central Command assigns to us. I'll take good care of the pair in all their memory.

-October 26th 1925-
The news of the ceasefire reached us early this morning, It's started as of Eleven o clock. I got out of the Trench to salute the Cretans, the Cretan officer did the same, a first since the New Year's eve of 21. The War has ended but we've been ordered to retreat from Creta in two weeks time, and according to the Radio, same is true for Drachma, It feels like all the death was for naught.
