Thoughts on Dragons:Alistair had always given the idea of dragons and other legendary beasts no mind, believing that they were simply just stories thrown together to strike the imaginative hearts of children. Personality:Having been raised in a small coastal fishing village, Alistair was raised around the same familiar people; giving him little experience dealing with those outside of their village's circle. Because of this, he grew up without having a grasp of an individual's 'personal space' and is often very rough when communicating. He has little regards of self monitoring, and hardly gives the judging of others a second thought.
Alistair can be loudmouthed, often speaking too much and far too loud. He does mean well, usually with no ill intent towards anyone and often offending others with what he considers jests and teases.
He has a heavy sense of pride, and it is usually enforced with his towering frame. Alistair's pride also drives him to become protective of others, feeling that because he is often the largest he is usually one of the physically strongest.

He never had the dreams or the plans to move away from fishing, since there was nothing there for him closer inland. Only grass and trees, and hardly a large body of water in sight. His receival of the invitation was going to end up just the same, shrugged off without a second thought. However, his mother pushed him to pursue whatever mystery the letter entailed, insisting that he had three brothers who would be able to support the family just fine until he was able to return. So, he took his leave, finally walking away from a lifestyle that he had lived on his own, and never even suspected that his life was about to completely change.
