Background:
Alex was born on Sao Paulo's countryside, a small town far from the big metropolis. Son of a storeowner and a housewife, they moved to Sao Paulo right after the boy was born. He lived a fair childhood in the medium-class downtown, as his father worked hard to provide for his family, and his mother took care of him and the home. Alex's parents always taught the boy the value of work, and the importance of never giving up. Going to school, playing soccer in the streets and watching cartoons on saturday morning were the daily life for the boy. Maybe it was those cartoons that made Alex so interested in Japan and its culture; watching the evening animes on the local channels had him fascinated on the archipelago on the far east, its customs and everything that came with. He begged his parents to enroll him on a japanese course, and after so many time, he finally got what he wanted. Since 13, Alex studied hard enough to be graded the top of his class, and warrant him a place on the Interexchange Prgram that the school offered. His effort was mainly the fact that his parents encouraged him to strive for greatness, and he wished to make them proud. Alex's parents doubled their efforts, worked hard and managed to send him overseas, and with that, Alex could realize his dream of studying in Japan.
