PERSONALITY: Alaric is a laid back person who always enjoys taking a moment to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Calm, collected, and aloof, he has a penchant for loaded questions, often directed at other people. Despite all this though, when someone mentions about their family, he has to do a double take due to the circumstances surrounding his own family. In battle he is silent, focused, and aware at all times.
HISTORY/BIO: Alaric Ortega was born to a mercenary family and lived a relatively uneventful life learning how to use the sword among other skills with his father, mother, and older brother. It wasn't until he was 17 when his true nature was revealed though. One night, his family was targeted by bandits for slaughter due to his father picking a side in a conflict. His family fought hard, but it wasn't enough and his mother and older brother fell in the fight triggering his latent dragon blood causing a violent awakening. Alaric, in dragon form, laid waste to the bandits until none remained. His father was able to calm him down and they fled to the guild his father worked at. The orchestrator behind the attacks was eventually brought to justice, but at what cost? Alaric's father never truly recovered from the loss of his wife and eldest child so he focused his attention on training his only son. When Alaric was 22, his father perished from the combination of grief, sickness, and age leaving Alaric all alone with no family left in the world. He turned to wandering, helping those who needed it, while also traveling.
