Settings/Locations for Age of Skylar
This particular world is known as Artoria and is known to have four different continents, one large cluster of islands in the middle of the ocean known as the Eye of the Abyss. No one ever ventures to these Islands as they are said to be cursed, a land where Skylar, the original Dragon, came from. The northern most Continent is Athus which is an olden style, old ways style land where laws are passed down by a Emperor who is not only just and kind but who sees the Draconian threat for what it is. He has an alliance with all nations and has trade routes set up through his land. As a fair trade the Continent to the west known as Grei has given the Kings Continent a railway system which can be used for transport or goods. There is a rather large school that floats in the water at the center of the continent. There have been no reported Dragon attacks on this School.
Grei is mostly known for its steampunk style cities, etc. Unlike other continents, this particular land is uninhabited by many Draconians and is usually a safe haven for explorers and renegades alike. This does not mean that Grei is safe, with no real overall leader they could never really be considered a nation. But more or less a band of small interconnecting shops, armories, and machines. They do not have many enemies and are always reasonable with their pricing believing that treating a customer well equates to them returning. There is a school for anyone wishing to learn Steampunk style work.
Shalon is the Capital of Shalonsha the continent to the south that is every bit a militarized land. It is full of armies trained to kill any and everything against them. At the moment they have only one constant threat and that is the rebel zealots that occupy the mountains just north of their borders. These Rebels known as the Black Dragon, seek out vengence against any who would go against Skylar. To them the death of their God Skylar was just a blessing unto them to punish the wicked ones around them. They find and sacrifice a Dragon to obtain its blood. Once this is done they send in a few scouts into a city, drink the blood, transform and wreck havoc on the cities around it. The Capital has grown rather aggressive and have just declared that anyone doing this or involved with the Black Dragon would be put to death. There is a military Academy stationed at the Capital.
Li Rei is by far the most beautiful of all Continents but unlike any others they have developed magic and caused their land to hover over the water to prevent intruders. Their technologies, powered by magic, far exceeds anything from any other continent. This also means they are safe from any attack from human or Draconian attack because for some reason the beasts can't get near this place. There is a school here however anyone lucky enough to remotely get to go would need to know the basics of magic to even apply. They are reserved and only talk to the Leader of the military in Shalonsha and the King of Athus. To show a peace offering and a sign of good faith they permit a total of 1,000 students to join their school of magic every 20 years. So far it is now time for Athus and Shalonsha to pick out their 500 students and send them on their way.
