Fantasy Age of legends- CS page

TheHistorian

Whoever this victor guy is i need to have a word…
Notice: Read the lore thoroughly please. This is not like most other god rp’s and the mythology you know of these deities from the real world is not accurate to this worlds lore.

Appearance: (can be a written description or a picture but if written must be detailed.)

Name: (i like plays on words and things that are similar to the original gods. You get bonus points for this.)

Age: (No god can be older than 999 years as the spell that allows for “gods” was cast that long ago.)

Race: (This is the baseline species for your god. choices are limited are Human, Beastmen, or merfolk currently see lore for more details and information on how to design your species if you wish.)

Title: (Who are you to your people? Thor is the Thunderer. Odin the Father of Asgard. Kai,Rhys is the Hecato. This is not God of “blank” rather something more flavorful and creative. Feel free to make your own lore for this I certainly will be.)

Homelands: (which city are you from? Is it one of the villages or towns surrounding a major city? Do you live alondgside men, beastmen, titans, or fish? Feel free to build your own lore as long as it doesn’t interfere with existing lore.)

Story: (what is your characters legend, clearly you have done something that is notable, otherwise how could you be a Legend that will on day be called a god?)

Demeanor: (this is where personality, body language and habits both good and bad go. No one is perfect and its our flaws that add the spice of life to our characters so dont be a mary sue.)

Magic Type: (Eldritch, Nether, Cosmic, or Natural. Its nebulous and vague and i wont exactly be to strict here though i may suggest a change if i think you would fit a different category. Note that Suggest isnt as serious as Requesting a change you are welcome to deny a suggestion.)

Abilities: (unlike your magical spells, your abilities are the passive abilities granted to you by your magic or godhood. For example Kai,Rhys is far stronger than an average man and can heal remarkably fast. Neither are spells but both are abilities he has due to magic.)

Spells: (not everyone is a spellcaster, you may leave this blank if you wish.

Equipment: (weapons, armor, tools, and objects your character carries with them, each player is entitied to a single magically enchanted item, though its power must be less than its weilder and cannot be the source, root, or majority of your power.)

Extra: (any pictures you may have, additional categories, writing samples, music. Whatever you want to add so long as it is after equipment on the page itself.)

At 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing a mere 155lbs Kai’rhys is not exactly the image of a great hero, however he is a perfect example of not judging a book by its cover.

Name: Kai’rhys (Kai-Reese)

Age: 29yrs

Race: Human

Title: Hecato-a Nuwe phrase meaning “He who protects” the male counterpart to Shacato meaning “She who protects” one of many phrases with different words meaning the same thing based on the gender of the one in question, as is natural with romanticized languages like that of the people of Nuwe.

Homelands: Otabo, a village on the southern most part of the Nile river delta. It is one of three “barrier towns” created to slow the approach of monsters and invading forces from the east of the red sea. Being The first of these “barrier towns” it was no hard decision for Kai’rhys to move here in his adulthood, after all this town is the front line of the fresh wave of Nuwe defenses.

Story: When Kai’rhys was born all in Nuwe knew he would be something strange, for he cried with the voices of countless infants. Because of this his parents were showered with gifts and blessings from the locals, with a slight spattering of threats and insults for good measure. Kai’rhys would grow up happy and well taken care of, never wanting for anything for too long. At least for a good while thats how it went. Sadly he would learn the sting of grief at a young age. Otabo before the fortifications began was more like a warning town with large towers that held great braziers where signal fires could be lit to warn the towns further up the river of impending attacks.

When the Surpann east of the red sea launched a raid he and his mother fled, but Kai’rhys father made a mad dash for the signal tower and lit the beacon even as he was pierced by an arrow and fell to his death below. As they ran his mother tripped, perhaps a stone caught her foot, or she was tangled up in the throng of terrified people. Regardless of the cause the effect was that a young Kai’rhys was forced to watch his mother be trampled as she protected him from the same fate. He would have died that day if not for Braxon, a bold strong man who scooped the traumatized child into his burly arms as he led people to flee. He even cut down one of the Surpann as they run showing Kai’rhys a better way one could protect people. in the end Kai’rhys would survive and a detachment of olympians would come and crush the surpann horde as was the usual resolution to their raids.

When they returned to the town, Kai’rhys was determined to never run away again. He spent what free time he had when he was not working the fields training in swordplay under the tutelage of Braxon. During which his remarkable and horrific abilities would begin to rear their many ugly heads. Kai’rhys seemed to possess an army within himself and in times of duress arms with weapons would grow rapidly from his body and lash out at all around him. However his understanding of this didnt come until the first time extra faces began to grow from him shouting unintelligible rambling that would echo in his mind and drown out his thoughts. Much as he liked the Boy braxon admitted to close confidants that the young man terrified him. That terror it seemed was well placed…

Eight years after his parents death the surpann would launch another raid but this time Kai’rhys and several other young men would take up swords, spears, and clubs to meet these foul creatures under the guiding leadership of Braxon. They thought they were ready, and how wrong they were. The Surpann outnumbered them nearly twenty to one and as hard as they fought one by one they would fall until eventually only Kai’rhys and Braxon remained. Back to back they stood their ground cutting their foes down even as the horde surged past them. As talented as Kai’rhys was, he was still only fifteen, his attention slipped for a fraction of a second and a spear found its way into his chest. As the blackness overtook him he swore he heard the sounds of the Unintelligible ramblings filling the air and even thought he could hear one if the voices speaking Nuwenese. He thought that was the end of him but he awoke afterwards sitting in the dust, broken bodies littered the battlefield, many were surpann, but many more seemed to be human, at first glance at least. Upon closer inspection one would find the limbs, torsos, and heads were grotesque versions of a human body, many having odd numbers of digits, or faces lacking mouths or a nose. Truly a horror show, but he was told that none of the Nuwe people had fallen aside from those who went out with him, not one single civilian had been killed, and every surpann was obliterated before the Olympians even arrived. Unfortunately it seemed that Braxon had disappeared.

After that time period Kai’rhys spent his usual training time attempting to manifest faces that he could understand to attempt to commune with the source of his power. While he told no one if he succeeded or not, shortly after this process he began to actually cast spells, and had gained a modicum of control over his abilities. Five years ago the Surpann launched another raid one which Kai’rhys did not wait for, rather he flung himself into the fray six miles southeast of Otabo, and singlehandedly crushed the horde of snake demons that numbered close to three hundred strong. Since then his people took to calling him Hecato, and he no longer is expected to work the fields. On the contrary people bring him gifts, food, and praise and openly ask him to never stop his training as they see him as one of their greatest guardians, unfortunately local leaders seem to feel threatened by that and are actively implying that Kai’rhys thinks himself greater than the titans, something that Kai’rhys does not believe, but will nonetheless cause him problems in the future.

Demeanor: Kai’rhys is a lighthearted yet driven man. He sees it as his duty to prevent others from knowing the grief he has had to live with and when it comes to fighting off the evils that plague his land he has an almost religious zeal. He seems to fear and appreciate his gifts in equal measure and will use them to help out in any way he can. That said he is somewhat more bold and aggressive than is normal and will not shy away from conflict, he does not believe violence is the best answer to every problem, but he acknowledges that it sometimes is the swiftest solution to what can become a worse problem, and that sometimes being unable or unwilling to fight will cause more harm than your violence ever could. Today he trains young warriors to help fortify Otabo, and many view him as a beloved public figure, at least in the towns of Nuwe.

Magic Type: Eldritch

Abilities:
Unnatural Strength- Kai’rhys can lift dozens of times his own body weight, his greatest feat of strength to date is lifting a beacon tower that had fallen off of a cellar door where people were trapped. The tower itself weighed at least nine tons.

Regeneration- Superficial wounds seem to fizzle out, yet even grevious injury seems to be reparable as Kai’rhys remembers the spear piercing his chest and was certain he was going to die from it. He has even shown great resistance to the venom of surpann fangs though it is still very painful.

Partial body duplication- The trademark ability of Kai’rhys. He can grow seemingly any number of arms, legs, torso’s, heads, and even partial body parts such as eyes, or a few fingers. While he does have control over this the process is painful, and pain makes it harder to control so he tends to limit himself as much as possible.

Tongue’s- as it turns out what he though was nonsensical gibberish was actually various languages coming from the mouths of his multiple faces. After about two years Kai’rhys has deciphered several languages spoken throughout the Titan empire and he wagers the other voices he hasn’t yet deciphered are likely also speaking other languages. While he may not be fluent in all the languages he can identify the thoughts of the additional heads that speak them echo in his mind in his own tongue allowing him to tell them what he wants them to say.

Awareness- many faces means many eyes, many ears, and many noses. In battle Kai’rhys has been know to produce extra sensory body parts to keep his awareness in battle up. His multiple overlapping fields of hearing and sight all but nullify stealth advantages.

Spells:
Duplicate- Kai’rhys discovered that when new hands grow they often do so carrying what his first hand does. Upon further study he found that each arm produced made a magical copy of the weapon he held due to his familiarity with it allowing him to envision all of its properties. Wondering if he could do this with other things he began to actually inadvertently created his first spell. Where he can take anything in his two normal hands, and duplicate it by simply producing more sets of arms which are holding the object in question. While this does not seem to work with magical items, he has used it to lessen the burden poor families have to feed their children.

Equipment: Olympic Forged Sword, “the Blade of Otabo”- A sword forged by the master smiths of Olympus and given to Braxon prior to his retirement from the olympian army. While not a magical weapon it is a wonderfully forged sword with perfect balance, a keen edge, and a weight that Kai’rhys has become accustomed to in the past decade. This blade can be duplicated by his ability.

Crown of the Hecato- A gift given to him from the smiths of Nuwe. Enchanted to never rust, and to direct force away from itself it is a reliable defense for Kai’rhys brain case. Furthermore headbutts delivered while wearing this are not mutually painful, as all the force is directed at his foe. It cannot be dulicated by his ability.

Belt of Olympus- as recognition for his bravery in battle and his charity towards his people outside of it, the government of Olympus awarded Kai’rhys an enchanted belt that reveals his location as a lions head symbol on any map touched by a Searching spell. This allows his own people and the government of the titan empire to always locate him so long as he wears the belt, while this may seem intrusive, it does make his task of protecting his people easier, as any person can approach a magic user to find him in a moment of need.
