Personality: Nao is a calm and collected individual whose sole purpose is to protect her family. Growing up, she adopted the values of hard work, determination, respect, and loyalty from her father, Chakrii, who was a farmer. After his death, Nao took on the title of being the main provider of her family and worked endless days and nights, allowing her to support her mother and sister. Her strong sense of responsibility allowed her to lead her small village to seek refuge in the South, and to ensure the safety of her own family, she voluntarily enlisted in the military. Although Nao's situation forced her become a soldier in the joint forces of Understein and Aenia, she believes that their victory will free Aenia from the suffering and hardships brought upon by the communist regime of Tramonian Confederation.

Strengths: Speed, stealth, stamina, and intelligence. She is also able to rationalize in high-stake situations, and will act according to what she believes will yield in the best outcome.


Weaknesses: Physical strength because she focuses more on stamina, speed, and intelligence. Nao can be loyal to a fault, especially when it comes to her family. She also tends to question others' motives, and begins to question her own humanity as time progresses and she is forced to kill Aenian soldiers on the other side.


Background/History: Nao is the eldest daughter of Anong and Chakrii Kugimiya, and the sister of Kana. The Kugimiya family has worked in the village rice paddy located on the borderline that later unofficially splits the democratic coalition and the communist regime of Aenia. Throughout her childhood, Nao often played in the fields whether it be racing through the stalks, hiding in the swamps, or climbing the trees in nearby woods -- as a result, she has honed certain physical abilities such as speed, stealth, agility, and stamina.


Despite being brought up in a rural setting where work rather than education is valued, Nao developed her intellect by reading as well as partaking in lessons at a small school in a neighboring village. Her enthusiasm for learning allowed her to gradually gain knowledge about various subjects, and though she is not very familiar with the world as a whole, she is knowledgeable about Aenia.


When Nao was 17, her father, Chakrii, was forced to enlist at the beginning of the war; he was killed by the Tramonian Confederation not long after in battle and thus Nao became the leading figure of her family. As the territorial disputes inch closer and closer to her hometown, Nao devised a plan to lead her family and fellow villagers to seek refuge in the south, and although they are successful in reaching their destination, Nao enlists as a soldier in the Paroningian Coalition to ensure the protection of her family.

• Her mother, Anong, is 32-years-old. Kana, her younger sister, is 16-years-old.
  
• If possible, she writes to her family every two or three weeks.

Name: Dieter Falk

Appearance:

Personality: Dieter is a serene, if not stoic young man. Being raised in a family of veterans and soldiers molded him into a calm and mature individual from a young age, though he tended to deviate from the usual 'Falk man' model by showing more tenderness and emotion than his father and uncle. It was mostly a product of his great deal of interaction with his grandfather, a veteran of the world's most brutal war, a kind man ridden with the severe mental scars of a soldier. Dieter tends to keep to himself most of the time, yet he has no difficulties whatsoever with interacting with other people, or even displaying any sort of affection. He displays a great deal of loyalty and care to his friends, family and squad mates, but he can become quite reckless when someone he cares for is in danger or even offended; In the end, Dieter can become slightly overprotective.

Strengths: Calm and composed under pressure, can take control of a situation should it call for a leader. Alert at all times.


Weaknesses: Overbearing, can become slightly paranoid. Tends to not get involved in issues that aren't his, yet would be solved if he intervened.


Background/History: Born in one of Unterstein's many metropolises, Dieter had quite the normal childhood and adolescence. He was presented to the world of warfare and militarism from a young age, as his family, the Falks, had an old tradition of sending most if not all male sons to the army as soon as they were able to enlist. He, however, strayed away from the path of becoming exactly like his rather apathetic father by taking a liking to his grandfather, a veteran from a terrible war that left him mentally scarred. This taught him about the horrors of war and all that came with it, making him aware and immune to the mindless mentality that war was 'awesome', as many teenagers believed it to be.


Miscellaneous Information: He has a tendency to whistle when by himself, and often stares off in the distance when he doesn't need to be on alert.
