Appearance: Adelaide is a somewhat fragile, delicate young girl, who may be unhealthily underweight and skinny as well. She's often seen in heavy though loosely fitting clothes which drapes down on the ground, which are more often than not, made quite fancily, but are mostly worn to keep her warm. The girl is fairly short, being of 5'4" tall.
Skills/Hobby: Adelaine is somewhat skilled and knowledgeable in the art of magic.
Like: Adelaide is someone who very much is appreciative of the library they have within the castle. She very much enjoys staying inside, and reading her books. Adelaide enjoys studying magic, though she does sometimes dabble into reading fiction and the history of art itself as well. She also enjoys the comfort of being wrapped around in a thick piece of cloth.
Dislike: She is very much an introvert, and dislikes being in the center of attention. She also dislikes moving too much, due to the fact that it exhausts her easily, and the sun both ruins books and hurts her eyes. Those might be simple excuses. Though the art of offensive and defensive magic in combat does interest her, rarely would she like the idea of being in an actual fight herself.
Personality: Adelaide is a cold but timid person, who is more secluded than anything else. She can be considered a bit anti-social, though it's more that she's less interested in crowded parties and formal events, and prefers to spend her time in a more personal way. In her case, it's her sibling, and some of her servants, but hardly anyone else outside the castle. She freezes up in front of a large group of strangers, and she involuntarily stutters and panics when it's time for her to give a speech. Even with individuals, she finds herself freezing up and choking on her own words. It's quite a bad habit, but she isn't exactly looking to getting over this. It's not that she's unkind or mean or anything, but it's hard for her to be friendly.
It is due to this that her parents would rarely bring her out, anymore, merely opting to marry her off to someone in hopes that it'll help her. It's quite easy to call her simply lazy at times, though. She tends to be very passive as well, though she does have the ability to be passive aggressive to get what she wants.
Background:
Adelaide, even as a child, was quite secluded from her life. At first, this wasn't due to her own choice, mostly because even as a babe she needed special attention. This was due to the fact that her air passageways were tighter, making it harder for her to breathe at times. With the lack of exercise she gets, it's not much of a wonder why she became as weak as she is.
There are rumors about her actually not existing due to the fact that she's rarely seen outside, though no one would dare say so due to the fact that it would be disrespectful. Regardless, it wasn't like the public spoke of her a ton, mostly because she did put an effort to not go within public eyes. She is still very much skilled and graceful in her own ways, though it's less politeness and more simply being overly delicate. Now, for most of her ours, she lies down in her private library with a heavy blanket over her, and occasionally takes notes.
Adelaide is, however, spoiled in her own ways. She, not of her own choice, has a nurse or a servant, to sometimes tend to her. Though they tend to disagree with her actions, they rarely argue with her and mostly try to make sure she eats properly. She supposes she is lucky to have this life, though would much prefer to ignore any of the responsibilities that are given to her as the princess.
