Fantasy A Totally Free Fantasy RP - The Group Version - Rules

The creatures available

Banshees

Banshees are creatures that can stay young by sucking life force from their victims. They do so by touching the victims, but they can also decide to lead a mortal life. Then, they will live as long as humans. Banshees can be killed by anything that kills humans, but never touch them! If you touch them, the damage that you inflict on them will also be inflicted on you. Banshees are always female and can give out loud screams that can make concrete break.

Humans

Humans are like real humans, just that they can use telepathy. Some humans can talk to animals or use telekinesis, but these gifts are rare, and their combination is even rarer.

Vampires

Vampires can use telepathy, can read minds, are 10 times as strong as an adult man, can turn into any animal that really exists, can influence people, animals and the weather, can climb up straight walls and have got very strong senses. They can only drink blood - if they eat or drink anything else, they have to puke - and can only die if they lose too much of it. If they have babies, those babies are human-born. New-born vampires are usually the students of Count Dracula. To become a vampire, you need to either be bitten by one or to drink a vampire's blood and then to die. Just like humans, some of them can talk to animals or use telekinesis.

Wereanimals

Wereanimals are similar to the common werewolves, just that they can change whenever they want to, and, like vampires, they can become any animal that really exists. In addition to that, they can talk to animals.

Witches/wizards

While wereanimals cannot use magic, both humans and vampires can be witches/wizards.

There is some type of magic for almost anything. Only two things they cannot do: For some reason, they cannot cure birth defects by magic, and they cannot bring people or animals back to life. And not all of them are able to use certain types of magic. Those types are seen as very strong magic, and only people who have a special gene for it can use it. Those types of magic are:

- spells that directly kill the victim (like 'Avada Kedavra' in 'Harry Potter')

- drain of energy (some would call this PSI vampirism)

- any type of magic that affects more than 100 people.

The gene is very rare, and they say that only one person per century has got it.

Novices, of course, are not able to use all the types of magic that their genes allow them to use (yet).

Starting place and time

The RP starts in Rome, and the starting year is 2015.

Additional rules

Godmodding

To make the RP fair, godmodding is not allowed. That means that all your characters need weaknesses. Still there is no need to tell them right away; it can also be interesting if the other players have to find out about them first.

Lenghth of posts

I chose this to be a casual RP, since I like some description, but if you cannot do that for some reason - I am okay with it.

Language

The main language is English. If you write something in another language, please make sure to write the English translation in brackets behind it.

Character sheets

Please, post your character sheets in the 'Character sign-up' section.

Clichés about witches/wizards

Please don't play those old clichés about witches and wizards. They are not necessarily evil, and they do not need to have a pact with the devil or any other kind of demon to be powerful. They just need to practice enough to strengthen their skills.

You might wonder why I say this. Well, I have done research on wich trials in Europe a few months before, and I saw what those clichés can lead to...

If there's anything that you want to add to these rules, feel free to PM me. We can discuss everything, then.

This RP is always open, so... if we've caught your attention, feel free to join!
