Creatures
Darklings and Twilings
Darklings, also known as Boogiemen (Never call one 'The' Boogieman as he is shunned.) They're beings whom rely on fear to survive, with the exception of a few. As their name suggests they are heavily based upon Darkness. Being able bend it to their will, Teleport anywhere that is Dark, and many more feats. The most Powerful Darklings can also Solidify it and use the Darkness that dwells within the hearts of man. Aside from Exiled Darklings they are weak towards natural light, it hampers their ability's and slowly kills them the longer they are in it. Exiled Darklings are usually ones that have become Twilings (Such a dumb name, I know.) Who've moved from simply bending the Dark to bending both Light and Dark. They are often hunted for their deeds against the Darklings, and thus are a rare sight. Both beings can enter a human form, however it renders them unable to use most of their powers. But it also removes their weakness to light.
Humans
Humans are like real humans, just that they can use telepathy.
Reverse Werewolves
Wolves who become men. Their essentially the same as werewolves but with a few differences. They aren't effected by diseases, as a Wolf they can change their size quite easily, and they retain several odd features as a Human. (Golden eyes, being incredibly hairy to the point that shaving is useless, and oddly sharp fingernails.) Its rumored that they are descendants of the Big Bad Wolf. Several of them have the 'Huff and puff' ability. Males also have trouble forming families with normal humans...As theres a chance the woman will give birth to a litter of baby wolves/Humans.
Vampires
Vampires can use telepathy, can read minds, are 10 times as strong as an adult man, can turn into any animal that really exists, can influence people, animals and the weather, can climb up straight walls and have got very strong senses. They can only drink blood - if they eat or drink anything else, they have to puke - and can only die if they lose too much of it. If they have babies, those babies are human-born. New-born vampires are usually the students of Count Dracula. To become a vampire, you need to either be bitten by one or to drink a vampire's blood and then to die.
Witches/wizards
Despite reverse werewolves, all creatures can be witches/wizards. There is some type of magic for almost anything. Only two things they cannot do: For some reason, they cannot cure birth defects by magic, and they cannot bring people or animals back to life. And not all of them are able to use certain types of magic. Those types are seen as very strong magic, and only people who have a special gene for it can use it. Those types of magic are:
- spells that directly kill the victim (like 'Avada Kedavra' in 'Harry Potter')
- drain of energy (some would call this PSI vampirism)
- any type of magic that affects more than 100 people at the same time.
The gene is very rare, and they say that only one person per century has it.
Novices, of course, are not able to use all the types of magic that their genes allow them to use (yet).
