The Targaryen Dynasty has ruled Westeros for nigh three hundred years, the uncontested rulers from Dorne to the Wall. Yet the recent king, Maeryn the Mad, has left the seven realms broken after three decades of sitting atop of Iron Throne. His passing has caused a power vacuum in both King's Landing and Westeros, with his vile children looking upon their fathers throne lustfully.
BUT-
They aren't the only spawns from Maeryn that wish to climb the stairs and sit upon the Iron Throne. An older bastard brother in Essos seeks the help of the Golden Company in his upcoming war, as he publicly declares himself the rightful king, and his sisters true bastards.
Beyond those with the blood of Old Valyria in them, the lords of Westeros are discontent with the Targaryen Dynasty and many seek change. The chief among them is Braedon Baratheon, second born son to the late Osmund Baratheon. The elder stag having been executed by Maeryn for a jape, Braedon has now taken up arms against the Targaryen's, declaring himself the king of the seven realms as well. Seemingly, House Baratheon is not alone in this war, with Houses Tully and Stark being close to the late Osmund Baratheon.
In the Sunset Sea another threat looms over the realm, the Greyjoy lord Conn has risen from the Iron Islands, yet another king. Conn has quickly started a campaign of bloodshed across his neighbors, hitting Fair Isle in the Westerlands and now the Shields in The Reach. Rumors float with King Conn that he has a dragon egg and means to hatch it, but only his trusted crew know his true intentions.
Petty nobles and high lords alike plot their next moves, each and every one of them driven by ambition. Westeros is on the verge of breaking and burning, with armies marching into battle as righteous men ride down the path to treachery and treason. With seemingly everyone playing the game of thrones, the question is asked -- who will win and who will die?

House Arryn -
House Arryn are a mostly peaceful house. They rarely enter a war or a rebellion without good cause. House Arryn roost themselves in The Eyrie; a tall mountainous castle that looks over all of The Vale.
They have not yet sided with anyone in the war to come. In-fact, depending on their leader, Gelgin Arryn, they may remain neutral through-out this whole fiasco.

House Baratheon is an age old house who have occupied The Stormlands since almost the beginning of time. They are known as fierce and strong warriors, who rule with an iron fist. Ser Osmund Baratheon was a widely respected figure. But, when Ser Osmund made a small jape about House Targaryen at his son's nameday feast- his head was being chopped off the following week by Maeryn The Mad.
Now, Ser Osmund's family call in their banners and prepare for war.

House Blackfyre -
House Blackfyre is the bastard 'house' of House Targaryen. Maeryn The Mad had produced several bastard children who all share the name Blackfyre. His oldest bastard, Viserys, has now put a claim on The Iron Throne, as he is a man and he is older then all of Maeryn's legitimate children.
House Blackfyre currently reside in The Free Cities of Essos. The leader of House Blackfyre and oldest bastard of Maeryn- runs a mercenary company called "The Golden Company".

House Greyjoy -
House Greyjoy have The Targaryens to thank for their current position. If it wasn't for Aegon The Conqueror, House Greyjoy wouldn't be leading The Iron Islands. But, they are. Conn Greyjoy is a young, but ambitious, man who knows the sea like the back of his hand.
He is a worthy warrior, and the people of the islands see him as a great ruler- although they may not always agree with his ways. Although he is young, he has an bastard child who is as wild as the waves.
House Greyjoy's army may be the smallest in all of The Seven Kingdoms, but, Conn's sister has returned from a long voyage with a dragon egg. This will most certainly give them an upper hand in the war to come.

The infamous House Lannister of Casterly Rock are the richest family in all of The Seven Kingdoms. Tytos Lannister was Maeryn The Mad's hand. Some people oft gossiped about how Maeryn and Tytos were the most corrupt and most useless men in all of Westeros. However, now with both Maeryn and Tytos dead-- House Lannisters' role in the war to come is up in the air.
The Lannisters are known to be greedy and snobby. They usually have a whiff of arrogance around them because of their social status. Although the current generation of Lannisters are a bit... different.

House Martell of Sunspear have ruled over the kingdom of Dorne since forever. Once, The Dornish peoples had independence. They could do what ever they pleased and not have the people of Westeros looking down upon them. But, House Targaryen conquered Dorne around 200 years ago.
Now that Maeryn The Mad has died. The joyful, lustful people of Dorne seek to regain their independence. However, the Dornish do not ONLY fight with swords and spears. They fight with words, cunning moves, and sometimes... poison.

House Stark is beloved by The North. They are known to be honorable, kind, and loving- yet they also have an edge to them. The members of House Stark have wolves blood, and sometimes they act before they think. House Stark resides in the historical castle of Winterfell.

House Tully -
House Tully rule over The Riverlands. The most rural region in Westeros. House Tully itself is respected by most, but, they can be seen as a 'small' house to people not of The Riverlands. This leads to people greatly underestimating them.
House Tully has close ties with both House Baratheon and House Stark, although whether they join their side in the war to come is still up in the air.
House Tully also has an age old rivalry with House Greyjoy. As the Iron Islanders would oft sail up the rivers and attack and raid small villages.

House Tyrell -
House Tyrell are the second richest family in all of Westeros, and probably the most loved. The Tyrells rule over The Reach with care and tenderness. The commonfolk of Westeros simply adore House Tyrell as they're in-charge of the majority of wheat and grain stores. House Tyrell have always been loyal to House Targaryen, so it seems like they'd side with The Targaryens in the coming war.
However, it is all down to Hollis Tyrell...

The rules are pretty simple, you all probably know them already from other RPGs.
Important Rule: As of now, we are NOT accepting anymore Targaryen or Blackfyre characters. We're crowded with them. It may change in the future. If you have a specific idea in mind, PM myself, @TheFordee14, @WanderingJester, or @Hypnos.
But the odds of getting a Targaryen/Blackfyre are extremely low. We're talking about Big Foot rarity here, folks.
- NO Godmodding OR Meta-Gaming OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
- PLEASE- No Mary Sue/Gary Stu Characters.
- Do NOT Control Characters That Aren't Yours To Control.
- Fade-To-Black When Doing A Sex Scene.
- In the event of a fight or battle, play your role realistically. If you feel like you're being cheated or things aren't developing correctly, message me.
- The number of "Top" fighters will be limited. Not everyone needs to be Jaime Lannister or The Mountain. If you want to make a very skilled warrior, PM me and we'll discuss it.
