For me,

Just a poem,

See?

Just a poem

Or two.

Poetry for no set reason,

Poetry for, "Tis the season!"

Not Christmas time,

But time to rhyme.

From verse to verse,

From line to line,

Stanza one,

Stanza two,

Couplets here for me,

And there for you.

A little poetry,

Just because,

A little poetry,

I wish it was.​

I love the water,

cool and flowing,

Water

Water

Going.

Going.

There's just one problem,

Water

Water

Going.

Going.

When the water starts flowing,

Water

Water

Going.

Going.

I'll surly jump in,

Though,

I never learned to swim.

Alright. Not commenting on the first one because it's functionally a doodle.


Swimming, or Something Like That has potential. I see what you're going for, and it actually starts and ends comparatively strongly. I thought you could stand to cut some parts - the second instance of 'Water, water, going going' and consider a different choice of words.


A cinquain structure might also work for this one.
