Fantasy A Lament for Lleris (Character Sheets and Lore)

This is the space for character sheets and any additional information about Lleris. I'll post my own character sheet as an example below!

Name: Angil Haldin
Race: Human
Age: 23
Weapon: Mace and Shield
Class: Cleric of Belgar

Appearance

Angil stands at 5'10'', more remarkable for the fiery, red hair he sports than for his height. His hair is cut short all around and a symbol of external equilibrium. Everything about him seems symmetrical. His hairless face presents freckles with mirrored counterparts on both the left and right cheek. His nose is perfectly crooked despite having been broken in his youth. Only his eyes betray an internal balance. While his left stares straight ahead, his right drifts to the side, as if desperately seeking the elusive fifth corner in the room.

Background

Angil was born into a Belgarite family during the Dutiful Razing. Just a toddler at the time, he was unable to understand the reason he and his family were ostracised in the village of Aldertown. The village in the east was rife with bigotry and lust for malfeasance. At the age of three, after the climax of the Dutiful Razing, he was whisked away from his home and taken to Lorfill by his father, Julian. His childhood there was happy, and his soul was light. Unlike the older children he could not remember the terrible events that had passed. He only learned of his mother's fate at the age of eighteen, when he was recognised as a man in accordance with Belgarite teachings and joined the clergy. His mother, Lucinda, had died at the hands of a mob in Aldertown while Julian watched helplessly, restrained by jeering villains.
Burdened by this knowledge, Angil studied for five years among the clergy, constantly questioning their teachings and seeking solutions to desires he could not control. Eventually he decided that the monastery could not teach him what he wanted to know and, leaving no note or trace of reason for anyone, left Lorfill, heading for the nearest port town, Selnyth.

Name: Killian arakos
Race: Half-orc
Age: 20
Weapon: fists
Class: rogue: pugilist

Appearance

Killian stands at 6'4, slightly shorter than average for an orcish male. His skin is mottled grey/green and tan. He is burly, and has long, wavy black hair cascading down his neck, ending just before his shoulders. he usually has it swept back away from his face and ears. His tusks are mostly unnoticable, as he has filed them down to fit into his mouth properly, embarassed by them and the attention they draw.

Background

He is molded by his upbringing, a harsh life that befalls most orcs in human lands. orcish culture has been bastardised into ghettos and the underbelly of society. constantly subjected to hateful stares and fearful looks takes a toll on a person, and thus whilst growing up his parents werent great to him, doing their best in their circumstances, until his father was killed by one of the town guard and his mother was forced to abandon him. as he grew up on the streets, he struggled with depressive episodes alongside the usual struggles of life in that situation, attempting to take his life multiple times but failing to. His entire body is covered in scars, a scratched pattern, like a parchment history of his struggles and scrapes. He finds it hard to make eye contact, and is intimidating and caustic as a defense mechanism, to stop people from getting too close. His entire life is defined by an absence of meaning, and antagonization by most humans. Noone has truly shown him kindness, perhaps that will change in Selnyth.

Name: Miles Melmidoc
Race: Human
Age: 63
Weapon: None
Class: Cleric of Belgar

Appearance

Background

Miles is an ageing Monk who lived through the time of persecution and has given more last rites than most monks have given any rites at all. The Mild Mannered Monk is a legend in Lleris, the only Monk who stayed behind when they were exiled to Lorfill. He has tried to revive the faith but has so far been unsuccessful, instead he spends most of his time doing good deeds and trying to live the teachings of the God Belgar. And so Miles Melmidoc has spent the last 20 years alone in the land of Lleris, the last Cleric of Belgar in a land that was once filled with his followers. Yet Miles has yet to lose faith and still continues his vigil, watching, waiting, wandering the land, hoping for a time when the Belgarites can return and spread the good word once again.
