Realistic or Modern A&H Island Resort - Jettman and Co. {Now Closed.}

Pipa The Great

Certified Klutz
There was something magical about the way A&H Island floated atop a beautiful body of water. The lush green flora of the island contrasted gorgeously from the sapphire-blue of the sea, and the commercialized structures dotted in places over the land did nothing to lessen its appeal. But Theo supposed that’s why they called it a resort, and his cheeks pulled back to reveal a smile that would’ve made the Cheshire Cat jealous. Oh, how he loved being rich.

The Jettman Family helicopter landed in its respective parking spot on the roof of the A&H hotel, and Theodore Jettman nearly leaped out of his seat in his excitement. His sneaker-clad feet touched down on the embellished concrete and he spun around to help his sister out.

Josephine laughed at his goofy expression, taking his hand all the same and jumping out of the heli. “Why thank you, brother of mine.” She fixed her windswept hair, running her fingers through the tangled mess. It had been Theo’s idea to take the chopper, and while taking the speedboat to the island would’ve resulted in a similar situation with her hair, she prefered not to be hundreds of feet high. To her relief, it’d been a short ride, and she’d had the luxury of flirting with the luggage boy on the way. Not that it was going to get anywhere. He’d been a luggage boy, for Pete’s sake.

“It was a pleasure, sister of mine.” Theo took a dramatic bow, sweeping his arm out in a gesture to the elevator. “May I escort you to the pier? Our lovely friends should be here within the next hour, and I hear they serve delicious ice cream at the cabana.”

“Be careful Teddy, or I might just think you’re a mile high.” She hooked her arm through her brother’s and followed him to the elevator, adjusting the straps of the knapsack on her shoulders. “Mind telling me why you’re so awfully chipper this morning?”

Theo sighed at his sister’s childhood nickname for him, but the smile didn’t fade from his lips. “Well, Jojo,” he emphasized the name, “I’m looking forward to my last summer of irresponsible late nights and partying. A little taste of the helicopter’s complimentary beer might also have had something to do with it.”

“Ah,” Josie laughed. She hadn’t been aware that they even offered ‘complimentary’ liquor, but then again, they were the Jettmans. Practically anything was complimentary for them. “That does explain your strange behavior.”

“Join me in the fun, Josie!” Theo pointed at the ceiling as the elevator dinged and the doors slid open to reveal an elaborate A&H hotel lobby, decorated exactly to the tastes of her mother. “To the cabana!” Her brother announced.

Josie shook her head at her brother’s antics, but whooped in joy anyways, disregarding the alarmed faces of other guests. Her brother made a good point; it was time to let go and just enjoy what they had before they would both have to face the real world. Theo had a life full of business ahead of him, whereas Josie would be looking forward to a life full of living up to her mother’s expectations as the ‘proper Jettman daughter.’ A summer full of irresponsible late nights and partying was ahead of them, indeed.

"Attention passengers!" A loud voice came over the loudspeaker.

Finn awoke with a start and sat up, and looked around. He was outside on a boat, and the cool salty air softly blew, ruffling his waving dirty blonde hair. He yawned and stretched before standing up, grabbing his purple flat bill hat that lay on the ground. It read "RECKLESS" in big bold cyan lettering across the left front side of the cap, and wrapped around to the side of the hat. Finn smiled and placed it backwards on his head, and picked up his skateboard which leaned against the wall. He remembered what he was doing here, he was bored from walking back and forth and decided to take a nap on the ship's bow until they reached the resort island.

"Oh yeah, Theo." Finn whispered.

He remembered that his best friend had invited him to stay with him on one of his family's many resort islands. He laughed to himself and shook his head, tapping his fingers on the board. He knew there was going to be concrete there, and that meant he could skate. If Theo would give him time to do so, Theo always wanted to do something fun, and hated to watch Finn "work." Finn found himself wondering if Josie would be there with him, then shook his head to clear the thoughts. He knew Theo was protective of his sister, and Finn really didn't want to get into all that. He sighed and shrugged, and continued to watch the island grow bigger on the horizon. If things happened between Finn and Josie, then they happened. Finn didn't care either way, all he wanted to do was have fun.

There was some whispering on the loudspeaker, and then the announcement continued.

"We will be arriving at the resort in a few minutes, please make sure you've all carry on bags and your personal effects." The man's voice continued. "Please enjoy your stay at A&H Island Resort, and the Jettman Family wishes to thank you for your business and hopes that you'll enjoy your stay and come again. This is your Captain, James Emerson speaking. It has been a pleasure."

Finn's finger tapping increased, signalling that he was becoming impatient with all the waiting. He'd been on this damn boat for what seemed like hours, and wanted to be on solid ground once again. The island began to grow bigger, and Finn could see that it was huge. Multiple buildings were clustered together, some quite larger than others, and several beaches with people sunbathing, swimming and relaxing. Finn was getting really antsy, and began to pace back and forth. The ship slowed to a stop and a small tug boat with the resort's logo pulled up and connected with the boat and began to pull it into the dock. They arrived and stopped at the dock, and the workers began to work at a fast pace, connecting the boat to the dock.

"This is your Captain again, ladies and gents." The loudspeaker said. "Please make sure that all your things and children are accounted for before you leave the ship. We like to wear lost jewelry and we sell the lost children to the circus when we make it back to the main port. Please form an orderly line and have your boat tickets ready to exit the ship."

Most of the people on the boat chuckled and began making sure they had everything. A line began to form, and Finn rushed to get into line and pulled his ticket from his pocket. It was wrinkled up, making Finn sigh and try to smooth it out. As he approached the island worker, a blonde woman, he gave her a friendly smile and held his ticket out for her to check. She took it, scanned it, and then looked back up at Finn with wide eyes.

"Hey, aren't you THE Finn Coates?" She asked. "That cute guy who's the next biggest thing in skating? You won the X Games last year, right?"

Finn started chuckling and nodded his head.

"Yeah, that's me." He said.

She handed his ticket back and gave him a huge smile.

"I'm a real big fan!" She said.

Finn gave her a wink and walked through the checkpoint before turning around and giving her a smile.

"Maybe you'd ought to come find me after you get off work, then." He said with a laugh.

He turned and threw his board down on the ground and stepped on it, skating off down the pier.

"Hey, no skating!" A security guard yelled at Finn.

Finn blew the man a fake kiss and continued down the pier on his skateboard, kickflipping off the stairs and landing perfectly on the ground. It was time to find Theo.

Brighton walked to the pier, immediately taking in the tropical breeze blowing through her wavy hair. She longed to just go ahead and jump into a bathing suit. She longed to be out having the time of her life on that beach. She sighed let the bellhop pull her bags out with her. Other kids she hadn't seen and had seen were coming her way. She sighed and got ready to introduce and be introduced.

Brighton was just happy to be out of the boat. She was one of the first people to race to get off. Many people asked her about her life in the modeling and acting business. Lots of pictures were taken. So many it was hard for Brighton to see in street lights and such. Her mother had given her a break in both as she had been doing it for years, at least since she was five.

A boy skated up to the pier. Brighton noticed him as Finn Coats. He won the X games last year. She only knew this because she had to model there with the trophy. Brighton even got to get some pictures with the top three winners.

She sighed and leaned against the railing, checking the time every once in a while. Brighton was excited to see her friend in person, again. Brighton had been so busy acting this summer she didn't get to see Josie at all. They just talked over the phone a few times.

Kyle had been staring out the window of his parents' private jet for what seemed like hours. He tried to distract himself, but everything reminded him of his ex-girlfriend, Erika. Since he and his sister promised their parents they wouldn't fight, they haven't said one word to each other. Kyle glanced over at Olivia and she was busy doing something on the iPad. He sighed and went back to staring out the window.

As soon as her parent's private jet had taken off Olivia was busy working on the company iPad. It helped passed the time and gave her an excuse not to talk with her brother. If someone said anything an argument was likely to occur. Olivia noticed her brother was staring out the window and sighing for pretty much the entire plane ride. The captain turned the seatbelt light on, which meant they were landing. Olivia closed the iPad and stared at her brother.
"You've been moping for days, you're friends aren't going to want to see you like this." She stated a matter of factly. Kyle heard his sister's voice and turned his gaze towards her. "I'm not moping. I'm just tired and bored and I just want to lay on the beach." He snapped back at her.

The plane
came to a stop on the runway. The stewardesses opened the door. The children said goodbye to their parents' employees and made their way into the warm sun. Olivia put her sunglasses on, took her blazer off, and tucked the iPad in her bag. Kyle walked into the sunlight breathing a relaxing sigh and putting his sunglasses on. This is exactly what he needed, he was ready to cut loose and have fun with Theo and the others. Olivia walked next to her brother, she didn't want to be here. She was already planning the work she could do for this afternoon. "Can you loosen up a bit?" Kyle asked looking at his sister. Olivia shook her head, as she took the iPad back out in search of wifi. "How can you expect me to have fun when there's work to be done?" she said bluntly tapping away at the iPad. Kyle smirked and grabbed the iPad from her "like this" he said holding it out of reach. "Now you have to have fun." Kyle smiled at his sister. Olivia rolled her eyes and scowled "Are you 5? Give it back." She said trying to reach for it. The two of them bicker in the middle of the resort as Olivia tries to get the iPad back.

The cab pulled up to the vallet, and the wild blonde on heels stepped out onto the cement. She had dressed slightly on the formal yet still somehow laid back side in her skin tight blue jeans and black strapless peplum top. Her stick straight silky blonde hair, which was usually pulled into a high pony was left fallen around her shoulders. The tropical climate was not Bethany's hair's best friend, and that would be proven later when the frizz would kick in, but for now it was pretty calm. She looked a little tired from the jet lag, but other than that she seemed to have taken care of her appearance a little bit more that day. It'd be her first impression of the whole summer at A&H, and she wasn't going to blow that by wearing her signature baggy sweatpants, adidas sneakers, Berkley sweatshirt and top knot to her first day. She would probably wear that sequence of clothing eventually, but the key was to wow everyone the first day, and slowly ease into wearing more comfortable clothing.

Bethany strode into the lobby, lugging the only suitcase she hadn't gave to the bell hopper behind her, and made her way to the front desk. "Hi, do you have a reservation under Calvin?" Beth asked, peering past the computer at the woman who was typing away at the keys. "One moment please." The woman replied, glancing at Bethany before returning to her typing, which was so fast it almost seemed blurry. "Ah, Calvin, yes." She said as if she had made the discovery of a cure for cancer. "Room 341." The woman said with a hospitable smile, handing a room card to Bethany. "Thank you." She responded. "Just sign here." The woman pushed a clipboard towards her containing a document. Bethany took the pen and signed it hurriedly. "Thank you, enjoy your stay."

Finn whistled a tune to a song he'd heard on the boat, and continued to skate down towards the hotel. It was a nice day outside, the wind was blowing softly, and the warm sun shone brightly. A smile grew on Finn's lips and he clapped his hands in excitement, it was going to be tons of fun to get away from all the skateboard magazines, the journalists, and the skateboard companies that wanted him to wear their stuff. He wasn't paying attention to anything or anyone but getting to the hotel and checking in. All his luggage should already be in his room, which would save Finn a lot of time. Finn ollied over the curb and down into the street and looked both ways before skating over to the other side where the hotel stood. He did another trick which lead him on to the other sidewalk and hopped off his board and opened the door to the hotel lobby.

A wave of cool air hit him in the face and made him sneeze. After he wiped his nose and thanked whoever blessed him, he turned his attention towards the check in desk, which was made of white marble and noticed a blonde girl who looked like she was checking in. A smile spread on to Finn's lips and he wiggled his eyebrows in an up and down fashion, before getting a little run and then hopping onto his board and rode it over to the Concierge's desk.

"Hey! No Skating in the hotel, sir!" A males voice yelled.

Finn ignored the man and arrived at the desk and hopped off his board and softly collided with the desk, and rested his elbow on top of the desk. He shot a look down at the girl and gave her a wink before turning to the second lady who manned the desk beside the first one.

"Yeah, I've got a reservation for a Finn Coates." He told the lady.

He smiled kindly at the woman behind the desk who returned his friendly smile, and started typing away at her keyboard. She didn't say anything as she typed his name, the keys producing a subtle clicking sound.

"There's an 'e' in it if you're having trouble." He said. "C, O, A, T, E, S."

She nodded and stopped typing on her keyboard and clicked on something with her mouse.

"Yes, sir." She replied. "Mr. Coates, you're booked for room 342. Your baggage should have already been placed by your bed, and the room has been cleaned, the linens replaced, and you've got fresh towels."

She clicked some more on her computer before looking up at him, and handing him the keycard for his room. Finn took the card and thanked the woman.

"If you'd please sign this paper stating that you'll leave the room as you found it, and that we're waived of all liabilities if things are stolen, damaged or lost." She said.

Finn took the paper and signed it before handing it back to the woman, who thanked him and put the paper away somewhere under the desk.

"That about does it, Mr. Coates." She said. "You enjoy your stay on the resort and try not to get into too much trouble."

The sun beat down on a dainty girl's orange hair as she stood in the warm sand. As the waves gnawed the beach's edge, smoothing the rocks and soaking the soft dirt, Clarke stood in place with a soft smile cracked across her cheeks and a longboard propped against her thigh. It was such a nice day out. Her hazel eyes settled on the boat as it pulled into the dock. People rushed out and headed to check into the resort. Boy, was she happy she didn't have to be moving all their bags today.

The softened sand kicked up as the young woman stride off of the beach with her board on her hip. She pull her sunglasses down over her pale face and smiled as she headed towards the resort. Air conditioning was a must right now. The heat was almost just too much. As she walk inside a long sigh of relief pulled itself from her lungs as the cool air cloaked over her. It was so nice. As she made her way to go sit in the lobby, a "whoop" caught her ear. Trying not to stare, she noticed the two siblings who walked in. She'd seen them here before, but only once.

She pulled her round sunglasses over her eyes as the sun shine in through a window onto her. The light took to her hair and made the natural orange seem to glow. Her ginger hair was something she'd cursed over since being a child, but dying it any other colour seemed unfit. Nothing else seemed to suit her like the thick, ginger waves. Remembering back to middle school, Clarke thought of the kids that used to make fun of her. She chuckled. There were so many witty comebacks she could have used then, but only thought of when reflecting on the insults. Classic Clarke.

Suddenly, while in her moment of recollection, someone called her name. Zoned out almost completely as she stare towards the front doors at nothing in particular, it took about five loud yells to get her attention. It was her manager. Throwing forth a fake smile in order to hide her urge to scowl at the woman, she stepped over carefully. Manoeuvring around the luggage and people with familiar ease.

"You called?", she asked, Boston accent twisting her words gently.

"Why aren't you in your uniform? And you're late again.". The boss seemed cross. A shiver slipped down Clarke's spine in light anxiety.

"I don't have work today, ma'am. It even says so on the schedule...", her words faded. Confrontation wasn't her forte.

"A new one was posted last night, remember? At 8:30. You should have checked it." the older lady snapped.

"Well, nobody told me and I was off at six.", Clarke justified. If this lady made her work today, she was ready to cry.

"I'm writing you up for this. Do you know how well the ratings are on this resort? We didn't get there by misreading schedules and being late. Take the rest of the day off but don't let this happen again, got it?". Her voice was hushed so the guests couldn't hear the conversation. The manager stepped back behind the counter, continuing on with her work.

Clarke sighed, plastering another smile back onto her face as she went and stood in the sun once again, pulling her longboard out with her. Maybe she'd go for a ride.

Bethany quirked a defined brow at the dirty blonde haired guy who'd given her a rather flattering yet playful wink. She wasn't the type to blush, and look down, more so the kind who would shoot a glance back. So that's what she did. Beth pulled the handle to her luggage up to her height, and strolled off across the lobby on her way to the elevators. They were large, extravagant and a shiny gold. Clean enough that she could see her tall curvy silhouette in the reflection before she pressed the button and the doors receded.

With the doors giving way, Bethany stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the third floor. She figured she'd change into a swimsuit when she got to her room, maybe unpack a little, and head to the beach. It was hot that day, and you could be Bethany couldn't wait to hit the waves. She hadn't lugged her board all the way here for nothing, either.

Scanning the key on her room, Beth slipped inside the spacious suite, and she was not unimpressed. It was thoroughly luxurious, and even though she wanted to go to the beach, or even the pool, the room was so nice it made her want to to stay there the whole time. But there was way more to see and do.

After changing into her neon pink bandeau bikini, Bethany swept on some orangish pink lipgloss and tucked her hair behind her ears. She slipped on some sandals and slung her lime green beach bag over her shoulder, heading out.

Finn watched the blonde woman walk until the elevator opened and she stepped inside. He gave her one last smile before turning back to the lady behind the desk, who was watching the whole thing. Finn raised and eyebrow and they both shrugged at each other.

"Looks like you might have made a new friend, Mr. Coates." She said, a soft chuckle escaping from her lips.

"You may be right, miss." Finn agreed.

He said his goodbyes to her and turned to walk toward the elevator, and pressed the up button. He stood there awkwardly for a few moments before the elevator dinged and the polished doors opened, revealing a fancy elevator with stained hardwood floors. Finn stepped through the elevator door, turned and pressed the button for the third floor. He moved his hand down to the button with a picture of the doors sliding shut and the word "close" in capitalized white letters. He pushed this button multiple times until the doors slid shut, and the elevator dinged, signaling that it was going up. Finn watched the display above the doors as it counted up from L to three, and the doors slid open. Finn stepped out and looked down both hallways. The hallways were painted a lovely shade of blue, and the flooring was stained hardwood flooring, just as the elevator. There were two signs on the walls in front of the elevator. One had the numbers 300 through 350 and an arrow pointing to the left and the other read 351 through 399 to the right.

Finn placed his hand on his chin, stroking the stubble that was growing there, trying to look inquisitive as he studied the sighs, looking as if he was a philosopher pondering some great question. In an instant he turned to the left and continued down to his room. He kept his eyes constantly scanning the room numbers, 301, 302, 303 and so on. He eventually drew closer to his room and pulled his keycard from his pocket and began to insert it into the door's lock when the room across from him opened up and out stepped the blonde women from earlier. Finn opened the door and turned around, propping the door opened with his heel, he smiled at her and studied her quickly. She was wearing a neon pink bikini, was wearing orange lipgloss and had a lime green beach bag slung over her shoulder. She was obviously going to the beach, whether to swim, sunbathe or surf, Finn didn't know. He didn't really care either, he was just going to take the opportunity to hit on her.

"Hey, you look kinda familiar." Finn said. "Have I seen you somewhere before?"

"I cannot believe you embarrassed me in front of all of those people," Josie groaned, shoving her brother one more time.

"I'm sorry, okay? How many times am I gonna have to say it?" Theo rolled his eyes, following after Josie. He honestly hadn't seen the waiter coming.

"Are you kidding?" Josie retorted, spinning around to face him. "If you hadn't had a dip into 'the helicopter's complimentary beer,' I wouldn't be covered in iced tea and Rocky Road, and I wouldn't be so annoyed." The cabana, as was promised, actually did serve some of the best ice cream on the island. Unfortunately, Josie hadn't gotten a taste of any of it, because Theo had clumsily walked right into one of the guys delivering their order, causing most of it to topple onto one of the pool chairs. Coincidentally, it was the pool chair she'd been sitting in.

The hilarity of the situation had been enough to sober Theo up, and he'd nearly died laughing because of his sister's reaction. He started to chuckle again. "Aw, come on Josie." He threw an arm around her shoulders and turned her around so that they could start walking back to the hotel. "You can hardly notice the stain. I'll buy you a souvenir shirt to make up for it," he joked.

Josie swatted him in the abdomen. As if. The chocolate covered the entire front of her cotton white blouse, and the tea had spilled mostly into her lap, ruining her favorite pair of khaki shorts. She huffed. "Whatever, but I am so getting you back."

Theo grinned widely. "Then let the prank wars begin, little sis." He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he took it out, reviewing the message that was sent to him. His eyebrows shot up and he stepped away from Josie.

"What?" She asked, halting.

"Um," Theo scratched the back of his head. "So, the concierge just told me that several of our friends have just arrived."

"I'll just change first, then. We can talk to them after." Josie moved to walk past him, but he stopped her, wearing a strange look on his face.

"That's the thing, I said we would do a meet-and-greet and I don't want to be the only one there when Brighton shows up."

Josie furrowed her eyebrows. There was something weird about his expression. "Why?" She asked slowly. "Wait, don't tell me you..." She trailed off, her eyes growing wide with realization.

"Look, it was only one time," Theo quickly explained. "That spring break was crazy--"

"Theodore Bryce Jettman!" Josie yelled, thumping the side of his head. "I told you my friends were off limits!"

"And they are!" Theo put up his hands, as if in surrender. "Just please, wait until after to change." He paused a moment before stripping his jacket off and handing it to her. He'd worn it while they were on the chopper, knowing the air would've been a little chilly up there. "Here, you can wear this over your clothes."

Josie was still in shock, but she put the jacket on anyways. It wasn't long enough to cover her shorts, but the tea was already dry, and nobody would really notice it so long as she kept her hands down. "I don't even know how to reply--"

"It'd be better if you didn't." Theo started a new message on his phone and sent a group text to all who were invited, telling them to meet in the hotel lobby.

Josie shook her head, slowly beginning to walk again. "I'm never going to forget that. I could've gone my entire life without knowing."

Theo looked up from his phone to see his sister's disturbed expression. He laughed, grabbed her hand and led her towards the hotel at a faster pace. "Oh, but then what kind of brother would I be, Josie?"

Kyle and Olivia had yet to check in to the hotel because they were still bickering in the hotel lobby. "Kyle, give me back the iPad." she said through clenched teeth as she lunged and jumped around him trying grab it. Kyle laughed "No, You will relax on this vacation if I have anything to say about it." He kept switching the iPad back and forth between hands, making sure to keep it just out of her reach. Olivia stopped and crossed her arms. "Kyle. You are a child, and you're causing a scene." she said in a parental way. Kyle playing along stuck his tongue out at her and retorted, "I know you are, but what am I" in the most childish way possible. Olivia placed a hand on her head. "Just give me the iPad." as she said it she reached for the iPad. Kyle moved it away at the right time and wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her in a tight hug. "Let me go" Olivia protested in a muffled voice from being squished. "Aw come on Liv, can't a brother love his baby sister" He said as he moved her in the position to give her a noogie.

Kyle's phone buzzed in his pocket, he let her go and read the message on his phone. "Oh good we're already in the lobby." Olivia huffed as she tried to straighten her hair out. She glared slightly at her brother. She shook her head and walked over to the front desk to retrieve the room keys for them. Kyle kept the iPad tucked under his arm as he stood in place, he wasn't going to let his sister work while at the resort. He is going to make sure she has fun. Olivia returned handing him his room key without a word. Kyle wasn't done teasing his sister yet, he went to hand her the iPad but pulled it away before she could grab it. "Grow up." she said and shoved him. Caught off guard, he stumbled back almost knocking a luggage cart over. "Liv don't destroy the place we just got here" he said laughing it off. She rolled her eyes. The two of them stood in the lobby waiting for the others making small jabs at each other.

Getting the text to meet in the hotel lobby, Brighton took in her last breath of the warm, fruity smell that she had fallen in love with. She sighed and began to walk back to the lobby.

Walking in, she stopped at the doorway taking in the cool weather. She saw the counter and two siblings already. Brighton walked up to the counter and sighed. She stepped in the front of the desk.

"Um. I think it's under smith." She turned back to see if anyone was paying attention. When she saw they weren't, ahe whispered. "That's Brighton Smith." The lady looked up and smiled, handing her a card.

"Here is you key, and enjoy your stay at the A&H hotel! Oh and sign here." She passed a clipboard with documents on it. Brighton read over it and signed. "One last thing, would you like a bellhop or pull your own bags." The lady brought around her luggage and passed it over to her.

"I can take it myself. If that's okay." Brighton smiled a thanks and walked to the elevators. She really wouldn't mind a bellhop, but she wanted to enjoy her room by herself on the first day. Now, what did the lady say? Room 343? Probably.

Right when she was about step in, out came two people. Brighton immediantly dropped all her stuff. "Oh My God! Josie! You don't know how much I missed you!" She hugged her and laughed. It wasn't like her to do things like this, but for Josie, Brighton would do anything. She flipped her sandy blonde hair and turned to theo. "Missed you too." She gave him a small side-hug. "It's so great to see both of you!" She practically jumped in joy. She looked back at Josie and smiled wide. "You know my producer let me bring a jet ski that we used for my last summer shoot, if either of you would like to take a ride later." She was looking at both of them but emplied Josie.

Brighton finished and told them to just text her if they wanted to. She walked past them and headed towards the elevators. Before walking into the elevator she turned and passed theo a look.

Brighton watched the elevator climb in numbers as she patiently waited for he elevator to hit the third level.

"Sir, we are circling the island now. Please prepare for landing. We hope the flight has been satisfactory." spoke the captain over the intercom of the Foreman family private jet. Claudius was seated, legs crossed, in a luxurious leather armchair, staring out the window. He was the plane's sole passenger, not counting the stewardess, who hurried over presently to pick up his now-empty wine glass. Flashing her a grateful smile, Claudius's attention returned to the island resort that sat in the glistening ocean. "So, it seems the Jettmans haven't changed much." he mumbled to himself wryly. "But, I have. CEO of the Foreman Group. The business prodigy meant to continue the Foreman legacy. And I'll be dead before I'm 30." The last sentence sounded sour in his mouth, and he grimaced slightly. But, with a shrug of his shoulders, as if to reassure himself, he added, "Still, I'm 21 now. At least I have the glorious permission of the law to drink now." With that he took a sip of aged red wine from the wine glass he held delicately in his hand.

The plane extended its landing gears and landed almost without a sound. Claudius's wine barely sloshed in its glass. The stewardess came back out and opened the plane's door. "I hope you enjoyed the flight, Mr. Foreman. Will you be needing help with your luggage?" she asked as Claudius stepped down the stairs. "No, I don't think I will. I'm sure the Jettmans have provided ample assistance. Thank you, Claire. That will be all. Have pleasant flight back." he spoke with a practiced nonchalance as he put on his Ray-Bans. Claire, the stewardess, smiled while bowing her head a little. "Thank you, sir, I will." As she walked back onto the plane, she blushed a bit. Not because of any undue attention, but more the fact that Mr. Foreman had thanked, going so far as to call her by her given name. His kindness, in addition to the more than generous salary, was the main reason she stayed. On Claudius's part, he was not aware of any particular courtesy that he extended; rather, it was simple etiquette of human interaction, performed to the letter. Just as he'd expected, as soon as he began walking towards the terminal, a group of uniformed men quickly collected his bags. In the terminal, he decided to take a seat in one of the available chairs to wait for his ride to the main resort. "I wonder what they're all like now? I heard Finn has had some success, and Kyle and Theo are up to take control of their companies. Surely they'll all be surprised to see me. I wonder... How is she?" he mused quietly.

The moment Josie and Theo walked through the glass doors of the resort, Josie was ambushed by a familiar flurry of shiny blonde hair. She grinned at the enthusiastic tone of the girl's voice, immediately returning her best friend's hug. She squealed and even hopped a little. "Bright! Long time no see, little miss supermodel." She let go of the girl, still smiling.

A corner of Theo's mouth twitched upwards at Bright's curt greeting. Things between them hadn't quite been the same since... Well, since their dynamic had changed. He gave her a nod in greeting. "Brighton. Nice to see you're doing well," he added politely.

Josie inwardly cringed, pushing the idea of her best friend and her brother being together out of her mind. She really hoped it wouldn't be awkward between them, but she wasn't going to hold her breath. Theo brought that upon himself. "I'd love to go with you sometime, Bright. I'll see you later?" Josie waved at the girl as she went up the lift, not missing the look she'd given Theo.

"Ooh." Josie dramatically clasped her hands together. "Is it just me, or did the room just get a little bit warmer?"

Theo poked his sister in the side, shaking his head. "Okay, you need to shut up. We are not going to play that game while we're here." He would admit that adding Brighton to his list of companions had been a bad idea, but they'd both been pretty wasted at the time. Not that it really mattered anymore. As the saying goes, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Josie waved her hand at him. "Yeah, yeah." She caught sight of a familiar pair of siblings arguing a little ways a way, and she let out a little delighted laugh. "Well, if it isn't the Butler siblings. They're at it again."

Theo followed his sister's point of view and smiled at the bickering brother and sister. "Aye, Kyle!" Theo said, loud enough for them to hear. He went over to where his friends stood and Theo shook Kyle's hand, embracing him the way guys did. "How ya been, man?"

"Hey Liv!" Josie addressed Olivia. She wasn't really close to the other girl, but she was sure that could change over the course of their vacation. She gave the girl a hug anyways. "I have to say, it's good to see you out and about."

Theo agreed. "Now that you've got your nose out of your books, we can get to know each other." He lightheartedly dropped a wink at her. He looked over at Kyle again and saw the iPad in his possession. He pointed at it, a brow raised. "I hope you brought that solely for taking pictures and tweeting about how much fun you'll be having."

Elizabeth finished writing the last part of the script that she needed for college as they approached the island in the jet and smiled as she read her work for the thousand time. She was helping her mother´s friend in her production classes for college and that made the professors very interested in her work and asked her if she wanted to take a few classes to see If she could work with him in a really big project. Elizabeth was really happy for that opportunity but she was really excited to see her friends again .

When the plane finally landed, Elizabeth got down quickly and some flight attendants helped her getting her bags. "Thank you, have a safe flight! " Elizabeth said nicely as she entered the lobby of the hotel and looked around for her friend.

(I know I suck at opening post)

Olivia was busy trying to express the importance of the iPad, but Kyle wouldn't give in. He was determined to make his sister have fun on this trip. He knew she is capable of having fun, they used to have fun all the time. He just had to create the right atmosphere for her. This atmosphere did not include the iPad.

Kyle heard a familiar voice calling his name and stopped his bickering with his sister to go say hi to his friends. Olivia followed closely behind. Kyle returned the embrace with Theo, "hey man, I've been pretty good. And yourself?" He gave a polite smile to Josie. Olivia heard Josie call her liv she cringed slightly at the nickname, but gave her a smile and responded "hi Josie." and awkwardly returned the hug. She gave Theo a smile "it's nice to see you too Theo." Kyle snickered hearing them make a comment about how Olivia never has any fun because she's always reading or doing work. Olivia hear her brother snicker and elbowed him conspicuously as she kept smiling. She directed her attention to the iPad "actually it's mine, and it's for work. That has deadlines." She said emphasizing the word deadlines. This was directed more at her brother than anyone else. Kyle smiled and patted the iPad "but you don't need it because you're on vacation" Kyle emphasized "you know the thing where you relax and have fun." He stated sarcastically towards Olivia. It was clear there was still some bitterness left between the two. Kyle shook his head trying to diffuse the situation. "So what's new with you two?" He asked Theo and Josie cheerfully.

As Kyle reminisced with his friends Olivia was busy trying to figure out a way to get her hands on that iPad. She didn't care what anyone said. She wasn't going to earn the company by laying on the beach. She was briefly tempted by the idea of laying by the pool, but quickly got her mind back on track. She would get the iPad.

"Excuse me Miss Rockmoore, we have arrived, " a young waiter nervously tapped Summer on tne shoulder rousing her from her slumber. Summer groaned and smiled "5 more minutes daddy," she took the magazine off her tousled hair and squinted as she adjusted to her new enviroment. She brushed her dress and sat up abruptly. "S-Sorry Miles was it? Thanks can you get me the vodka from the bar fridge. The waiter started to protest pointing at the empty beer cans on the table next to her, but Summer gave him a pouty look and batted her eyelashes and he sighed before heading out of the section to retrieve the alcohol.

While he was gone Summer got up from the double bed and made it quickly and hastily before beggining to pack the books and other items strewn around the room. She got her custom made Gucci bag and and packed the objects into it carefully and slowly. Miles quickly returned with the vodka and hesitantly gave it to her this gesture was accompanied by Summer almost cracking up as she saw how nervous he was. Summer took the vodka and quickly took a swig before the shocked waiter could stop her she then took her bulging bag and started to walk to the front entrance as Miles followed behind her with the rest of her bags. They walked down the small gangplank to the airport and Summer stretched her arms out and yawned looking around at the brightly coloured resort and she sighed "Paradise," she said the word in such a loving way you would of thought she was speaking of her own mother well at least if you hadn't seen Summer and her mother contact with each other in real life she would say her mother's name with malice and hatred. Summer took the bags that Miles was holding and then whispered a flirtatious

"Thank you," Summer gave him a quick peck on his cheek before giving him a small wave and walking down the pier into the reception her bags rolling behind her. Sum,mer handed her large suitcases to a handsome bell boy with a five dollar bill and told him that she was with Theo his eyes widened and he quickly asked where she would like them

"Wherever Theo's are," She said before turning on her heel searching the room for anyone she knew.

Summer bright emerald eyes shined as they caught sight of the blonde hunk of a boy that was Theo. Her lips curved in a cheeky smile and she straightened her posture as she strided over to Theo and his slowly growing group of friends she noticed a few familiar faces. She covered Theo's eyes with her soft hands just realising that she ahd only remembered to put one of three rings on her hand.

"Guess who," She said in a forced low voice taking her hands off his eyes and embracing him from behind. Summer laughed and stopped the act

"Oh my god I missed you so fucking much," She covered her mouth and turned to face her "Sorry for my foul language baby girl," she said patting Josie's hair playfully the cheeky smile not rubbing off her face.

Before the elevator completely closed, Brighton grasped the last look she got from theo. She shook it off. It was just one time! He doesn't like you anymore! Plus, what would Josie say about you two? Boyfriends come and go, but friends are forever! You could loose a friend! She told herself wiping away the memories of they're time together.

Brighton smiled as the elevator lifted the third floor. The whole room dingged indicating that it was on the floor and she could exit.

Picking her bags up, Brighton walkend down the hall. She walked unsteadily to find room 343, when she saw her other friend looking like she was ready for the beach herself as a guy hit on her. Carefully, Brighton set everything down and from halfway down the hall asked, "Beth, is that you?" She cocked her head and walked forward noticing the girl more.

"Lord, it's been way too long! How are things with you?" She gave Bethany a small hug and friendly smile. It really had been long since they had talked. Josie, Beth, and her had been the best of friends once. Brighton hoped they could catch up.

The guy's words caused her to pause for a moment with a "Hmm, not that I know of."Bethany replied, her Australian accent proving to be prominent.

The cocky guy from the lobby was at it again. Normally Beth would've been rolling her eyes and walking away, but she wasn't going to deny that a part of her didn't mind the attention. She glanced over his shoulder at some resort guests, their hair damp as they carried towels, beach toys, and a big green plastic blow up doughnut floaty back to their room.

"Are you headed to the beach?" She asked inquiringly.

Bethany figured it was one of Theo's friends, since he seemed to be traveling alone and as far as she knew looked to be in the same age group as she was. This Summer was already proving to be one of the best she'd had yet. And from what she could see, it could only get better from there on out.She

thought of Josie for a moment. It'd be nice to see her, especially on vacation. She'd always loved the idea of traveling with her friends and seeing them in new environments. She snapped out of her train of thought and refocused her vision on her new found acquaintance.

Although, her intense focus was interrupted, joyfully so by a familiar face, framed by wavy blonde locks. Brighton! Bethany waved her over, smiling. "It has been too long! But things are great." Beth said, embracing her.

Theo clicked his tongue at Olivia. "Sorry, sweetheart, but I can't have people working while on vacation here." In a grand gesture, he plucked the iPad out of Kyle's hands and tucked it under his arm. "It's company policy," Theo elaborated. "You'll have to get through me to get this baby back." He tapped the object with his finger, smirking.

"Nothing new so far, Ky," Josie stepped in, answering his question. "Just looking forward to spending time with out friends." She shrugged, then remembered to ask Kyle about how he'd been doing too. "What about you?"

Theo perked up. "Oh yeah, how are you and that beauty doing?" He snapped his fingers, thinking of the name. "Erika, right?"

Suddenly, a pair of dainty manicured hands went over Theo's eyes, followed by a sweet voice. Theo grinned, turning to give Summer a proper hug. "Hello to you too, Princess." He pulled away and gestured to the Butlers. "You remember Kyle and Olivia, right?"

Josie nearly gagged at the interaction, her eye twitching when Summer ruffled her hair. As nice as Summer was, Josie hated it when the girl drank herself into oblivion because it resulted in some teeth-gritting moments like this one. Theo, of course, was blind to it. He had a soft spot for both Summer and his other female best friend Elizabeth. The only other two girls Theo treated with such care, if not more, were Josie and his mother. But that didn't mean Theo didn't try his best to be nice to all girls.

"Missed you too, Summer." Josie raked a hand through her hair, trying to fix it back into place. "It seems like such a long time since we last saw you." She felt like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders, truth be told. She loved seeing all of their old friends again. On the other hand, a part of her still felt like there was something missing. She went through their list of expected guests again, and she deflated, realizing that she was wrong. No, it didn't feel like something was missing. Rather, it felt like someone would be.

Finn chuckled when he realized that his joke had gone way over her head and shook his head no.

"Not really, I'm not a big beach person." He said. "I was going to go look for a good area to skate a bit before I got into some parties or some-"

Finn was cut off as his phone went off, making a nice three note xylophone tune. He reached into his pocket and quickly read the text from Theo asking him to come to the lobby. He smiled apologetically to the woman and slid his phone back into his chinos.

"Well, there's a change of plans. My friend who owns the resort wants me to come to the lobby. There will probably be a party, hell, you can tag along if you want. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a bit. If you want, I'll can wait until you change?" He said. "I'm Finn by the way."

They were interrupted by another blonde chick, who threw her arms around the other blonde Finn was speaking to. Finn raised his eyebrow at the two and a smile spread on his face.

Olivia shook her head. "Theo, you don't understand. I need that iPad. It's company property, there's a lot of information on there that if lost will be detrimental. Please just give it back. I promise to keep the working to a minimum." she pleaded. She even added some puppy dog eyes that usually worked on her brother, it couldn't hurt to see if it worked on Theo too. Kyle rolled his eyes, he heard the change of tone in his sister's voice and knew that the puppy dog eyes were soon to follow. "Olivia, really? The puppy dog eyes? They may work on me, but don't use it on my friends." Kyle stated slightly annoyed.

Kyle heard Erika's name and shifted awkwardly. "Oh uh....yeah. We're...she's great." he chuckled a little plastering a fake smile on his face. Olivia looked up at he brother confused. "I tho-" Kyle quickly interrupted his sister "I was going to bring her, but she had a photo shoot." Olivia stared at her brother shaking her head, then looked to Theo "they broke up." she stated bluntly. Kyle eyes widen "Olivia!" he snapped. She shrugged "Well you did." Kyle shook his head "We're just taking a break...she wanted the summer to focus on her work." Olivia snickered "if by work you mean photographer then sure." Olivia stated suggesting an affair. Kyle shook his head embarrassed "There's nothing between them!" He said with a slight sound of desperation in his voice. "we'll be back together by the end of summer." he stated hopefully. He shoved his hands in his pockets "s-she just needs time" he says softly, looking down. Olivia rolled her eyes "and the pity party is back" she said sarcastically. She looked up at Theo then to her brother "I'm sure you two will consume enough alcohol this vacation that you won't even remember that spoiled brat" Kyle shrugged, as he thought about her. "she wasn't a brat." he defended quietly. Olivia nudged her brother towards Theo "I can't believe I'm condoning this, but Theo please get him blackout drunk."

Olivia, deep down, hated seeing her brother like this. It turns out she did have a compassionate side to her. Her brother needed to have fun this vacation to get his mind off of her. As she stood there watching everyone else interact, her focus went back to the iPad that was currently in Theo's possession. She began plotting to get it back.

Brighton smiled brightly. Maybe that's why her name was what it was. She had never heard the story of her name before. She shook off the thought.

"Yeah well things have been hectic lately! I am surprised my boss even let me off!" She paused and then added. "Josie is down stairs. I need to get situated in the room. Tell her I will be down and we can go hang out or something." As much as Brighton didn't want to leave her friends she needed to go. The luggage wouldn't un pack itself!

Brighton walked down the hall and put the key into rm 343. She carefully opened the door and walked in, immediantly amazed. The room was sparkling a gold color. She picked up her bags and walked to her room. Still in shock, Brighton unpacked all her clothes and makeup and put them in the shelves.

When she finished, Brighton shoved her suitcase under the bed and stood up, out of breath. She really just wanted to take a nap, but her friends came first.

((i made it a bit longer.))

Claudius was not kept waiting for very long. A veritable convoy of black SUVs and a sole Roll Royce slowly came to a stop in front of the terminal. As yet another entourage of uniformed men took his luggage to the SUVs, a well-dressed man stepped out of the Rolls Royce. "Welcome to A&H Island Resort, Mr. Foreman. I hope your flight here was enjoyable. My name is Roger. I will be taking you to the main resort to meet with the rest of your party. Please, right this way." With a sweeping bow and obligatory smile, Roger opened the door to the Phantom. Uttering a quick thank you, Claudius stepped into the spacious cabin, settling himself into the luxuriously upholstered leather with a practiced ease. After all, to ones such as the Jettmans and Foremans, such opulence was commonplace.

Once Claudius was in, Roger entered the car through the opposite door. With a glance from the driver and a nod from Roger, the entire group of cars began rolling. "Most of the guests have already arrived. Your mother called and informed me that your decision to come here was last minute, so the others are not aware of your arrival. No need to be alarmed however; they are most likely simply greeting each other. And, I am confident in saying that I don't think you'll be disappointed by what the island has to offer. The Jettmans spared no expense when they said they wanted to create the world's premiere island resort." Roger spoke, his smile still plastered on his face. If anyone were to talk to Roger, it would be difficult to guess whether or not he really enjoyed his job. His specious demeanor certainly didn't seem to suggest so.

Claudius was not put off in the slightest, however. On the contrary, he found it a tad amusing; working as a CEO, he was the recipient of numerous such pleasantries and etiquettes from ambitious employees who wanted to be on good terms with their employer. "Thank you, Roger. I'm sure you're making all the efforts you can to ensure my timely arrival." With a slight chuckle, he added, "It stands to reason that this island will exceed expectations. The Jettmans were never ones to underperform or be outdone." This thought brought Claudius back to the one time in his life that he had true friends. Kyle, Theodore, and Finn were incredibly accepting young men, and Claudius's reminiscing of his time with them, as well as with a certain young woman, effectively ended any further conversation until the cars reached main plaza of the resort.

Soon, the convoy rolled into the smooth, black driveway of the island's main hotel. All around, the landscaping was immaculate. Trees contrasting with colored flowers amongst bushes shaped to resemble intricate design gave the entryway a grand aesthetic. The hotel itself was enormous, as anyone would expect of a seven-star hotel. The interior of the hotel blended seamlessly with the exterior, as the front entrance offered a direct view into the lobby. From inside the car, Claudius could see what looked to be a group of young adults standing in the middle of the hotel plaza. After Roger exited the vehicle and opened Claudius's door, he stepped out and began to approach the group after muttering a quick thank you to Roger and the driver for their service.

As he got nearer, his walk slowed as he began to make out snippets of the conversation. There was no sign of Finn, but Kyle was there, along with Theodore and a girl who'd just given Theodore permission to intoxicate Kyle to the point of a blackout. Claudius could only assume that was Kyle's younger sister, Olivia, whom he hadn't really talked to in his earlier years. Another girl, probably one of Josephine's friends, was also present. "Speaking of Josephine... Ah, there she is." he spoke to himself. She looked radiant. Claudius resumed his walk to the group, although his smile was slightly tempered by the thought that not only did his friendship with Theodore prevent any chance of a relationship, but his familial affliction made it so that he'd have to choose someone else in the near future for the sake of his family. But, he shelved those thoughts before they ruined a perfectly good reunion.

Clearing his voice slightly during a lull in the conversation, Claudius wryly pointed out, "At least now, it's legal to get that inebriated. Not so much when you guys were high school." With a bemused smile, he reached his hand out for a handshake with Theodore, who was probably a bit confused as to why Claudius was there, though not in a disapproving way. When, he responded, Claudius quickly pulled him in for the type of manly embrace that two prideful people engage in after a long absence. "This is quite the island you've got here, Theodore. I was thinking of purchasing it. What's the going price these days for a billionaire's retreat?" Smiling amicably, he similarly hugged Kyle and greeted Olivia. "How's life treated you, Kyle? Do you still play football? Sorry, you Americans call it soccer. No matter what you call it, I've gotten a bit better. Care to see if you've still got me beat? You can bring Olivia along too. I'm sure she'll relish watching her big brother sweat."

And, finally, he came to Josephine, who seemed pleasantly surprised to see Claudius. "It's always a pleasure to see you, Josephine. I see the years have been good to you. I'm sorry about my declination before. I really did have some company work, and I must have been afraid the Foreman Group would be overtaken by communists or the like in my absence." he joked with his patented crooked grin. "Luckily, my mother helped me see sense, so here I am!" With that, he gave her a brief, but firm hug. Being back with all of these great people, Claudius felt that perhaps his mother really was right about the benefits of his taking a break.

Summer laughed as Theo embraced her, her chuckle echoed around the lobby making some older customer grumble in disdain but Summer didn't care this was the last holiday before most of her friends would be leading their own company and she wasn't going to waste it. She walked around to the right side of Theo as she raked her fingers through her hair biting her lip as her fingers connected with a large knot that had formed during her gruelling flight.

She watched in amusement as the prim and proper Olivia tried her hardest to get the IPad off Theo but her attempt was in vain even through her drunken haze Summer could see that Theo ment business, and by business she ment none of it. Eventually the topic changed to one that Summer was not unfamiliar with break ups, Kyle one of the boys that has gone to Theo and her school was in massive denial about a bitch who had obviously cheated then dumped the poor soul. She interjected when Olivia condoned getting him a blackout

"I can help there," she laughed she was all about the booze and clubs this holiday and maybe a few dates if she found an eligible bachelor.

She turned to face Theo

"I'm going to unpack can you meet me in my room in twenty," she then turned on her heel and approached the counter a woman quickly got her to sign a couple of contracts and then gave her, her exclusive pass as she was with the Jettmans she thanked the woman and headed towards the elevators. When's she reached the second highest floor she got out na headed to her room at the very end of the corridor she chuckled as she saw the gold on every surface

"Why am I surprised it's the Jettmans for gods sake,"

The bell boy had obviously appreciated the tip and had actually unpacked for her and apart from a missing ring that she hated everything was there. She quickly changed into a ombré bikini with a neon pink shawl over the top. She texted Theo quickly

The bell boy was great and unpacked for me so I'm already get everyone to change into their bathers and let's swim
