The first thing that comes to your line of vision as your eyes adjust, is blackness.

Pure, utter blackness.

You don't know how, or why, you're here... but you are. There's no sign of a doorway, or windows, or any escape of any sort. Just simple, pure, condensed darkness as far as the eye can see. You weren't tied up, or gagged, or restrained in any way. The dim light bulb above you at least allowed you to see a few other denizens within your surrounding area. And then, suddenly, a bright light flickered in front of you. And then, suddenly, you understood.

Though whether or not you liked what was happening was a different story.

Not that it mattered, of course.


That's right! This is our first, real and proper, Chronology Series Side Story! The intention of these are to be short mini-roleplays, with the purpose of giving our members some fun outside of our main events! This is one which I personally have been planning for a bit, and I do hope that you manage to find some enjoyment out of it! Of course, as always, if you're not a member of the Chronology Series already and you're interested in this roleplay, don't fret! Feel free to either join our Discord or shoot me a message here on RPN, as we do love new faces!

A few things to keep in mind about this RP specifically, though:

1. You must play a morally ambiguous/villain-like character to participate in this roleplay. More so the former than the latter. Think along the lines of Bane or a GTA protagonist. Basically, don't really go for a straight up villain like The Joker.​
2. If you have participated in a TCS RP before, do NOT play someone you are currently playing in our main event, or someone who you plan to use in a future event, as due to reasons that will be revealed in this particular RP, that would be troublesome for me in particular. You may use someone who you have played in a past event, however.​
3. Due to the intended size of this RP, there will only be fifteen spots available, not counting my own NPC of course.​

Melodic Cudgel - Roman's trusty cane, which he carries with him everywhere.

Although it appears to be an ordinary cane, it's also a makeshift gun, which can be used to fire at his enemies in rapid succession. It can also fire two different kinds of explosive projectiles, one red flare and one white flare.

It can also be used as a defensive tool, able to block and withstand shots from various attacks and even weapons, such as Blake Belladona's Gambol Shroud (as seen above.)

Melodic Crudgel can also be used as a tether, which can be used to grapnel from long distances as well as hold onto various objects. It can withstand great amounts of force too, including that of a moving truck at high speeds.

Powers/Abilities
With the left leg "the leg of decomposition" and the right leg "the leg of fusion", therefore by that which controls this, the right arm's "third leg" (control rod and fuel rod), she is able to manipulate the ultimate energy, nuclear fusion and fission. Her abilities come from the god of nuclear fusion, Yatagarasu, and were granted to her by Kanako Yasaka in the god's attempt to turn the Hell of Blazing Fires into an energy source for Gensokyo. Essentially, this means that Utsuho's own body actually houses a divine spirit, technically making her into a branch shrine for Yatagarasu. Apparently, the duller the holder of the power, the better they can utilize it. The red eye on her chest is proof that Utsuho obtained the power of fusion by absorbing Yatagarasu because the god's eyes are red, according to Chapter Three of Cage in Lunatic Runagate.
Basically she can nuke you as her power is to control nuclear fusion and fission. Yatagarasu is the Misaki God of the Nihon Shinwa. In Nihon Shoki, as the messenger and envoy of highest sun god of the Nihon Shinwa, Amaterasu Oomikami (天照大神), Yatagarasu is considered the incarnation of the sun. It has been said that Yatagarasu possibly lives in the sun. That is, it means that she's able to manipulate the same temperature as the the highest heating power in the natural world, the sun (Furthermore, by the spells that she uses, she is also able to spring forth the same gravitational attraction).

Madam Mayor is a ruthless, slightly psychotic, temperamental woman who works for Sir Benedict and the "Them" corporation, what is she the Mayor of? We don't know and gave up after the last person to ask lost a shoe. We do know that she has political influence and is possibly a "Them" Board member due to her close ties with Benedict. She mostly spends her days overseeing the Agents and managing them....in the most terrifying way. Madam Mayor is also very peculiar in her personality, she always has a huge smile and is flooding with positivity, but she's also known for her explosive anger and her somewhat sadistic nature. When angered Madam mayor will throw things, scream, physically hurt others and throw cars to name a few normal things. Alright, I'll stop here....she's coming my way.

Sig was sent to Haven City by Damas in order to find his son, Mar.[2] Damas apparently lost his son in the city, and wished Sig to retrieve him. While there, Sig somehow met Krew, and began working for him as a wastelander, retrieving artifacts and trophies (metal head skulls) outside the city walls. Sig had been working for Krew for years before the events of Jak II, according to him,[3] though the amount of years remains unknown.
Sig was first met in Jak II when Torn sent Jak and Daxter to deliver a package of eco ore to Krew at the Hip Hog Heaven Saloon. Sig was the first one the two met in the entrance to the bar, and would later hand Jak his Morph Gun and Scatter Gun mod with it. Jak was also given the mission "Protect Sig at the pumping station" during which they shot down spyder gunners to collect their trophies afterwards. Eventually, as Jak and Sig grew closer, Sig revealed to them that he thought Krew was "in over his head" and wanted to break away from the crime lord. When Krew obtained the ruby key, he sent Sig down into the Underport to open ancient passageways.

When Sig completed the task, metal heads flooded passages and the city, revealing that Krew had sabotaged and betrayed the city. Sig expressed his desire to eliminate Krew in return, though Jak and Daxter already completed such task. Jak and Daxter then further escort Sig out of the Underport, and just before the exit elevator, a large metal-pede (which also chased them shortly before their arrival to the exit of the Underport) crashed through the ceiling and fell on top of Sig, crushing the bridge he was standing on, sending him into the dark depths below. Sig was presumed dead until he appeared at the celebration at the Naughty Ottsel towards the end of the game, where it became evident he survived the metal-pede.

Jak 3
Sig returned to Spargus during Jak 3, and first appeared in the cutscene following the mission "Defeat marauders in arena", during which Damas ordered Sig to kill Jak, or vice versa, as it was Arena of Death tradition, not to be defiled by anyone. They both refused and were sent to Damas' throne for punishment. As Damas stated, they would have normally been cast out and banished from Spargus, though given Sig's work in Haven, and Jak's usefulness, he showed mercy upon them, given that they complete the mission "Destroy eggs in nest", in which Jak and Sig had to use the Gila Stomper to destroy metal head egg infestations.

Sig is later seen during the mission "Blow open tower door", where he accompanied Jak, Daxter, and Jinx in a HellCat cruiser, protecting Torn driving a cargo transport to blow open the door to the Metal Head tower. After the mission, it was Sig who handed Jak his Super Nova upgrade. He is seen a few more times in-game operating vehicles, and towards the end was sitting on the throne of Spargus in the Arena of Death as king (replacing Damas who had died while fighting alongside Jak in the palace ruins).

Sig was one of only a few members of Rayn's combat racing team who were not poisoned by black shade, as he did not attend the will reading on the basis of his distrust in Krew's schemes.[4] He returned early on in the game and joined the group, when Ashelin challenges his commitment with, "Easy for you to say, your life is not on the line". He replies "For my friends, it is" showing a selfless attitude towards his friends. He used the Howler 99 during the Red Eco Cup, the Hammer Head during the Green Eco Cup, Yellow Eco Cup, and exhibition mode; and the Anvil RTX during the Blue Eco Cup.

With his slender face, long ears, and opposable tail digits, Swiftglove is the perfect thief. He is always busy, and very materialistic. He often holds items in more sentimental value than other people.

A constant joker, Swiftglove thinks of himself as able to get out of anything, and rarely takes anything seriously because of it. He will even laugh off making an enemy.

Swiftglove is also very focused, especially if money is involved. This creature is very hard to distract, and is as persistent as a squirrel. If you can catch him, then he will prove to be a very hard worker.

Nothing. He relies on his own natural skills.

Powers/Abilities
Night vision: Self explanatory.

Stunning breath: Breathes spores that induce paralysis for a while. This has the most effect for the portion he actually blew on.

Keen hearing: His long ears are great at picking up sound.

Opposable tail: His tail ends in three digits that can be freely moved around. The fingertips secrete a special oil that erases his fingerprints.

Wing powers: Swiftglove cannot fly with his wings, but they do have other uses. He is able to glide, and they can stretch out far enough to cloak him completely. When he joins them together, the large eye pattern pulses, briefly putting the foe into a trance.

A disgraced warrior from the Demon World who sought revegne against his foes and enslaver, Togouro. After his defeat at the hands of another demon, he resigned from his chance at revenge, believing it to be impossible for him regardless how much stronger he became. Togouro himself met his defeat at the hands of a human. Now with his tormentor dead, Bui is left with no path to walk.

Equipment
Axe: Bui normally fights melee-style using a enormous battle axe, about the size of his own body. The axe is created by Bui's own demon energy, which materializes into an axe when he wills it so. It is so heavy that throwing it onto his shoulder once caused his feet to sink a few inches into the Dark Tournament's stone fighting ring.

Powers/Abilities
Bui's most notable ability is his inhuman strength, as he was constantly clad in body armor that could easily break the ground underneath it, if it happened to be dropped or thrown. His speed is also noteworthy.​

• Enhanced Strength: Bui has enormous strength enough to be able to hold on to his gigantic battle axe.​
• Battle Aura: By removing the armor, Bui's body glows with green demon energy and is used for offense and defense. The Aura serves to increase Bui's already impressive physical capabilities, serves as an extremely effective buffer against most offensive techniques, and grants him the ability to fly. He also appears to be able to gather the energy of his aura and fire it as green, spherical blasts of at least moderate power.​

• Aura Battle Cross Attack : This cross-shaped energy blast homes in on opponents. It is said by Bui that he typically makes the attack only as powerful as required to kill his enemy.​

Appearance:
Odin appears to be an old man. While wooden armour made from the bark of Yggdrasil veils him, he covers his wooden armour in his cape-turned-cloak. As a sign of age, his hair is white and long, and his beard is of great length. He wears an eyepatch over his right eye.

Short Bio:
Odin is ruler of the Aesir and a constant seeker of knowledge. One day, he foresaw pieces of Ragnarok, the Twilight of the Gods. Odin had always done everything he could to prevent Ragnarok, and I mean anything.

Odin located the three children of Loki and the Jotunn Angrboda - Fenrir, Jormungandr and Hel - and proceeded to cast these harbringers of Ragnarok away. Fenrir came to be chained in Asgard, Hel designated a realm to be sealed in and Jormungandr was to be killed by ravaging waves, but the serpent was too powerful.

One day, however, the three escaped, thanks to the meddling efforts of what he suspected was the Welsh wizard Merlin. Believing that Ragnarok would begin if he did not find and reimprison the spawn of Loki, he set out. While the tale would have it that he would ultimately face Merlin's prodigious son, something happened before those events could occur.

Odin wields the mighty Gungnir, a powerful, magical spear that will always strike its target.
He can summon and command his great eight-legged steed Sleipnir.

Powers/Abilities:
Odin once sacrificed one eye for the ability to see even more with his remaining eye. His all-seeing eye can see things in places he is not present in, and its presence can give him prophetic dreams.
Odin has command over his pair of Ravens.
Odin has the ability of gods, such as longevity and flight.
Odin has vast knowledge in magic and runes, and can apply them well.

A cybernetic body possessing extreme strength, endurance, and flexibility, this artificial body can temporarily morph shape, either by enlarging itself for bursts of extra strength, by contorting its skeletal structure for unparalleled dexterity, or even by duplicating itself for short periods of time. Canon: He's a Tembo the Badass Elephant OC I made, being one of the new types of Phantom soldiers I designed.

Short Bio: Before the Phantom army, he was a soldier in the Shell City army. When Commander Denmoore, leader of the Phantoms, was revealed to have at one point worked in the Shell army, too, Warren was inspired to join the Phantom army. Once the Commander was eventually defeated and arrested, he became one of the few remaining ex-Phantom soldiers to continue to rebel violently against Shell City and its army, until he finally blacked out when someone successfully defended themselves when he attempted to attack them for their support of the Shell army. Then he woke up here.

Equipment: A dagger and a pistol. He is also still wearing a Phantom soldier outfit.

Powers: No special abilities, but he's super quick to fighting, and is decently skilled in combat thanks to his training.

Other info: He constantly hates on the Shell army and will attack anything with glee if they are known enemies of the Phantom army. He's not very smart, though, and sometimes he doesn't use his common sense. The type of Phantom soldier he was is an Enforcer.

Short Bio: Murdoc Alphonce Niccals was born in Stoke-On-Trent on June 6th, 1966. Although the exact whereabouts were never verified, it was rumored that his mother gave to birth him at the Belphegor Sanatorium, a halfway house for "the sick, the needy and the incredibly bored."

As an infant, he was dumped on the doorstep of his father's house one night and was discovered by him as he was returning home from the pub.

Murdoc went on to a very abusive childhood. It has been proposed that his many addictions and his sour attitude were due to his abusive childhood. His father, Sebastian Jacob Niccals, (or Jacob Sebastian Niccals, depending on who's asking) was a spiteful drunk of a man who often verbally abused and exploited his sons.

During his childhood years, Murdoc attended Sodsworth Comprehensive School where he gained a reputation for his truancy, puerile pranks, ugliness, poor personal hygiene, and generally unruly behavior. From the first day, he would frequently be found in the corridors during lessons and propping up walls outside of the classrooms, distracting the other students with "endless quacking noises and pointless, malicious humor". His form teacher, Mr. Gravadlax, a man described by Murdoc as "turning up stinking of poppers", described Murdoc as "an appalling student" and "a stupid imbecile who often turned up smelling of whiskey". Although, even as a child, he had charisma, had a great knack of getting his acquaintances to see things "the Murdoc Niccals way" and certainly stood out. Despite all this, he was also the target of much bullying both from the pupils and the teachers. Murdoc was also bullied at school by a big, thick, meaty skinhead lump of a boy with arms like two racks of kabob meat named Tony Chopper. Chopper would call Murdoc all kinds of names and the list went on with new ones added daily. Murdoc got back at Tony by calling him a lot of offensive and extremely harsh names, ultimately calling him "a useless, bloated backward waste of space who would probably get a job of holding up 'For Sale' signs on the corner of streets only to then get himself fired and replaced by a bucket of soil", which resulted in Tony punching Murdoc in the nose, breaking it.

The local pub had a routine talent show called the "Are You A Star?" talent contest that Murdoc was often forced to participate in so he could win his father's drinking money. The performances arranged by his father were always humiliating song and dance numbers, usually with feathered costumes and tap shoes, including one performance in which Murdoc was forcibly dressed up as Pinocchio and sang "I've Got No Strings". It was from here on out that Murdoc decided to become a musician, and he would never again take the stage under someone else's direction. He would wreak his havoc on this world of buffoons.

Murdoc dreamt about becoming a famous musician and leaving Stoke-On-Trent. After becoming a Satanist, he began making deals with the devil and came to an arrangement with him. If Murdoc was to become a famous rock star, he would offer Satan his soul. When the deal was finalized, Murdoc acquired Satan's bass guitar "El Diablo" and his middle name was changed from "Alphonce" to "Faust".

Murdoc played in a number of bands before Gorillaz, though they never went anywhere. The names and instruments of the other members appear in the Gorillaz 2005 promotional booklet and are given as follows: Billy Boy (who is based on a character in A Clockwork Orange) and Tiny on guitars, Crunch on drums, Rocky on keyboards, and Munch, who appears to be listed as "Band Artist." Not much else is known about these characters including their personalities or current whereabouts, although they appear on a few pieces of official Gorillaz artwork, most notably in the previously mentioned booklet as well as in Kong Studios, where an image of Crunch, Billy Boy, and Tiny can be seen on the wall in the instrument room.

At some point in the early 1990s, Murdoc founded a band called, Murdoc's Burning Sensations. Not much is known about the band outside of being a featured headliner for a concert at the Withered Hand in Stoke-on-Trent on November 29, 1994. It is assumed that the band broke up at some point prior to 1997 due to unknown circumstances.

On August 15, 1997, Murdoc and a gang of criminals were on a crime spree in a stolen Vauxhall Astra. Their next target was Uncle Norm's Organ Emporium where Stuart Pot (AKA 2-D) was working. Murdoc launched the car through the shop window, crashing directly into Stuart's face, putting him into a coma and giving him an 8-ball fracture on his left eye. After the incident, Murdoc was arrested and was sentenced to 30,000 hours of community service and spending 10 hours a week caring for Stuart.

One day while skidding his car around a car park in Nottingham, Murdoc accidentally sent Stuart flying through the windshield into a curb, giving Stuart a fracture on his right eye, yet waking him up from his coma. Impressed by Stuart's appearance, describing him as "a blue-haired, black-eyed god", Murdoc recruited him as the lead singer and keyboardist for his band and gave him the nickname 2-D for the two dents in his head.

Murdoc is based on The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, Creeper from Scooby-Doo, and Baron Von Frankenstein. He is also loosely based on Damon Albarn himself, with many of the events that happen to Murdoc and things that Murdoc say being loosely based on that of Albarn. "Damon is Murdoc, basically", Hewlett says, "When Damon has an adventure, it tends to happen to Murdoc too".

The Bookkeeper is the Guardian of the Annals of Eternity. She spent her time Reading through the stories within, Organizing and Cleaning the Shelves, and guiding any who entered her Domain to the knowledge that they needed. Over several lifetimes, she became jaded with her lot in life. Why should she be trapped in this Dusty Library forever when other Celebi got to roam the Forests and watch over Time as it unfolded. It wasn't FAIR! She donned a disguise and became the Legendary Phantom Thief, CRB. Known by his Calling Card that he left behind, He stole precious artifacts from all of history, past and future, storing them away in the Annals where no one could find them.
Until one day, she was visited by a group of adventurers, looking for a way to save their archipelago home, they had come to the Annals to search for a solution. As she guided the group, one of them, by fate or chance, stumbled away and found her hidden treasure trove. She was panicked, and quickly confronted the interloper, but was surprised when the Eevee showed not disgust or rage at his stealing, but admiration for his skill and power. CRB had, after all his time alone, made a friend. The group found their information and left, but Returned, many, many times. Eventually, a heist went wrong, and CRB found himself on the opposing side of his friend and her comrades. In a moment of compassion she called off her allies, and let the Mythical Pokemon leave, on the condition that He leave the treasure behind as well. It was the first and only Time he had lost his target.
Later on, the Unthinkable had happened. The Annals of history were damaged, and two recordings of events had appeared. For the First time in all of Time Dialga appeared and ordered the Bookkeeper to destroy all previous recordings of events, and replace them with the new recordings, before leaving again. Curious, the Scholar of Time began to Read the new additions and compare them to the old ones, and discovered something horrible. Dialga had erased someone from the timeline itself. Everything they did, Everyone they helped, was undone. Her eyes began to water as the implications of what had happened set in. Her one and only friend, was gone, with only her to morn their passing. She hid the books away where only one of her kind could find, defying her orders, and donned her disguise once more. She abandoned herselves, her history, her home, and her purpose to enter the void outside of Time and steal her friend back, no matter the cost.

Powers/Abilities
Celebi can Travel through Time Freely and exist Simultaneously through time. They can detect anomaly's in time, as well as pull others and objects through time, both forward and backwards. They can also change others to a previous state, which is useful for reverting the trauma done to Shadow Pokemon. CRB knows all moves a Celebi can know. CRB carries an obnoxious amount of custom calling cards, to leave where ever he steals from.

Tamatoa is a self-absorbed, 50-foot crab who lives in Lalotai, the realm of monsters. The conceited crustacean wants to be more than a “bottom feeder” and overcompensates for this perceived shortcoming by covering himself in all things shiny.

Tamatoa is a gargantuan coconut crab that hails from Lalotai, a realm inhabited by monsters. Living in a giant seashell within the realm's depths, Tamatoa is known as a "beady-eyed bottom feeder," a social reputation he greatly despises. He covers his shell in gold, rare artifacts and treasures as a means to elevate his status, and this overcompensation eventually became a crazed love for all things shiny. An avid collector and hoarder, Tamatoa's materialistic obsession has driven him into madness over time.

A shiny shell isn't enough for Tamatoa, however. For centuries he has plotted to steal and control the heart of the island goddess Te Fiti. In doing so, Tamatoa would possess the ultimate power of creation, thus ennobling him to a supreme and preeminent entity.

Tamatoa is also the long-standing arch-nemesis of acclaimed demigod Maui. The two appear to know each other extremely well, with Tamatoa even having knowledge of Maui's near-tragic beginnings. During one of their battles, Maui ripped off one of Tamatoa's legs which, according to Maui, plays a part in the giant crab's hatred for him. Maui have even received a tattoo for defeating him. Despite his own physical prowess, Tamatoa fears Maui when the latter is equipped with his magical fish hook, but not so much when he learns that Maui is out of practice using it.

Powers/Abilities​

• Immense Strength: With his massive size and body weight, Tamatoa possesses incredible physical strength that eclipses the raw strength of a demigod. When Maui was stripped of his fish hook's power, Tamatoa was able to mercilessly attack the former with ease. Being a coconut crab, his claws are also extremely powerful, though the magnitude of what they can destroy has not been explored.​
• Expert Fighter: Despite his enormous size, Tamatoa is expertly able to fight opponents of any size. He displays enough agility and dexterity to strike small, human-sized opponents with pinpoint accuracy. His coordination is so great as to thrash Maui with vicious combos, easily demount opponents on his back, and gracefully spin Maui's small fish hook in his claws. Combined with his afore mentioned strength, Tamatoa is extremely dangerous and able to defeat nearly any opponent lesser than Maui at his full power.​
• Bioluminescence: When in pitch darkness, Tamatoa undergoes a physical transformation in the form of a trait called bioluminescence. This is found in real deep sea creatures (including some crustaceans) and allows Tamatoa's body and the shiny objects hoarded on his shell to emit a neon, glowing light. His pupils, irises and scleras, meanwhile, can change color by alternating from vibrant and alarming pinks and blues.​
• Camouflage: By using the hoard of gold upon his shell, Tamatoa can perfectly disguise himself to appear as an inanimate mountain of treasures until he chooses to reveal himself. He mainly uses his shiny shell as a hunting tactic, luring unsuspecting fish from the surrounding ocean straight into his mouth, among other prey. When bioluminescent, Tamatoa can perform counter-illumination, meaning he can manipulate the neon light of his body to match the darkness of his lair, completely camouflaging his form. Only Tamatoa's teeth and eyes can be seen in this form, when grinning and when they're open, respectively.​
• Eternal Youth: Tamatoa is more than a thousand years old at the height of the film, as he knew Maui before his exile. He shows no signs of aging and proves to be in excellent shape.​
• Fourth Wall Awareness: Possibly due to his state of mind, Tamatoa is seemingly aware he lives in a fictional world. While beating down Maui, he asks the audience to look up the definition of a "decapod," then later asks them for help while comparing himself to Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.​

Tamatoa is unpredictable and possibly insane. His mood tends to shift at the drop of a hat, going from cheeky and comedic, to murderous and menacing in a mere matter of seconds. He's quite monstrous in both size and attitude; one of his most well-known traits being his sadistic habit of eating anyone around him, be they humans, sea creatures or even deities—he even admitted to eating his own grandmother.

Tamatoa has a twisted sense of humor, specifically shown when he dryly remarked that it took a week to eat his grandmother because of her enormous size. He also takes pleasure in torturing his enemies both mentally and physically, as shown when he gleefully - yet brutally - thrashed Maui across his lair, while crushing the demigod's ego at the same time. With an apparent lack of boundaries, Tamatoa has no qualms with mocking someone's dead loved one, or exposing someone's deepest insecurities to amuse himself.

Above all, Tamatoa is extremely narcissistic. With a superiority complex, he views himself as beautiful, and others as irrelevant and disposable. Unlike Moana, Tala and Maui, Tamatoa does not believe in inner-beauty or "listening to your heart". Instead, he views anyone who is not physically attractive or outwardly strong as insignificant and lesser than him, albeit perfectly fit for a meal. This is his biggest flaw and ultimately causes his downfall, as he underestimated Moana's intelligence (because she's a human), which allowed her to best the villainous crustacean.

To some extent, Tamatoa's narcissism is superficial. In truth, he is insecure and uses his glamorous appearance and valuable possessions as compensation. As such, he welcomes anything that will increase his power and, by extension, his social status, such as the heart of Te Fiti. Tamatoa's lust for power also cripples him to a degree, as he gave up his chance at destroying Maui in favor of chasing after what he assumed to be Te Fiti's heart.
