  Born as the illegitimate son of a wealthy CEO, Akira's mixed heritage, with an American mother and Japanese father, marked him as an outsider from the very beginning. Despite his parent's eventual marriage (and later, divorce), his father's family never fully accepted Akira and his mother into their fold. Despite the familial dissonance, Akira's early years were marked by comfort and a sense of independence, as he was often left to his own devices.
  
  His first glimpse into the realm of yokai and the supernatural occurred during a childhood encounter that would shape the trajectory of his life. One day, when he was playing near treacherous waters, he lost his footing and was on the verge of drowning, when a spirit came to his rescue. However, when Akira shared this extraordinary experience with others, his words fell on deaf ears as the adults around him brushed him aside.

HISTORY

Kyoko was the introverted one, and Kyosuke, the charismatic and favored sibling who bore the weight of their family's legacy. The gods saw Kyosuke as the golden child, destined to assume leadership of the shrine as he honed his powers ahead of his sister. Kyoko, on the other hand, lived in his shadow, a kind and gentle soul uncertain of her own fate as she dutifully followed her twin's footsteps wherever they may lead. Despite their contrasting personalities, Kyosuke adored his sister dearly - a love steeped in regret, the kind that you only cherish when it's too late.

Fate took an unexpected turn when Kyoko decided to travel to America, seeking her own independence away from her sibling's shadow. When he was young, Kyo would make illusions to play with humans, finding enjoyment in making them fall for his harmless tricks.
This is his strongest ability as he's had most practice with it but it also takes the most energy, and depending on the size and scale of the illusion, can completely burn him out, upon which, he will go into a meditative state to recover his energy.
A telltale sign of his illusions is that they have a faint, lingering scent of sakura blossoms. They can also be revealed by using mirrors made of pure silver.
There are several ways to break through his illusions:
- by overpowering him
- attacking him while he is meditating
- using talismans specifically to ward off illusions

HISTORY
Malik Baxter, a lifelong resident of Clover Falls, had a blissfully ordinary childhood. Well, as ordinary as it could get being raised by a single mom in the police and a mysteriously absent father whom your mother still refuses to talk about. As a child, Malik was the undisputed leader of the playground - the one who rallied all the kids to join him on his adventures to play pretend pirates and defeat imaginary krakens from atop their jungle gym ship. If there had been anything out of the ordinary in his life, Malik had no idea. That is of course, until his best friend turned into a werewolf - an upgrade to their friendship that Malik had definitely not seen coming.

From that moment on, Mal's world was turned upside down, inside out, and all around as he was initiated into the world of supernatural beings. Instead of running for the hills, he however, embraced the craziness with open arms and an insatiable appetite for knowledge. He became the official fanboy of the supernatural crew, soaking up every tidbit of information like a sponge on a mission. Sure, there were days when he wished he could just go back to blissful ignorance, where his biggest concern was figuring out which video game to conquer next. But hey, who needed normalcy when you could hang out with werewolves, vampires, and other mystical creatures that seemed to always pop up at Clover Falls? Not Mal, that's for sure.

Although he was one of the few humans amidst a sea of supernatural beings with extraordinary abilities, Mal never let that dampen his spirits (or so he convinced himself). Mal rocks his human status like a champ, providing the much-needed dose of sunshine and smiles to his supernatural pals.

Now, with a murder stirring up trouble in their little haven, Mal's inner sleuth has been unleashed. Armed with his mom's top-secret police files, this self-appointed detective is on a mission to uncover the truth behind the mayhem.   From a young age, Kiran felt a burning desire to break free from the shackles his family placed upon him. He was driven to challenge the established order by the burning desire for freedom that coursed through his veins. In high-school, Kiran was the instigator of every protest, whether it was about unhealthy cafeteria lunches or exorbitant private-school fees, the cunning teenager discovered that he had a natural ability to rile up his peers without ever getting directly involved. Kiran's idealistic perspective guided him, seeing activism as the righteous path. Rules were meant to be broken, after all.
  
  However, Kiran's family remained oblivious to his double life. They were too enamored with his brother, the so-called golden child, who effortlessly fulfilled their lofty expectations. The Devraj family only saw Kiran as the obedient sibling, destined to follow in his brother's footsteps and enroll at Seira Academy to become yet another accomplished engineer. But Kiran had other plans.
  
  In a shocking twist, Kiran boldly announced a change of major on his application from engineering to fine arts. The opposition he faced from his family was formidable, but little did they know, Kiran had discovered the art of manipulation and finding loopholes to achieve his dreams. He had meticulously crafted a portfolio, acquired outstanding grades, and even orchestrated an exhibition—all part of his grand plan to manipulate his way into the prestigious academy. In his eyes, he had earned his place at the academy through his talent and hard work.

And so, Kiran embarked on his journey at the academy, unaware of the hidden hand that facilitated his admission. Jiahao discovered a talent for crafting epic costumes and the attention he got was off the charts.
