Queen Delphine has been reigning over the Mermaids and the ocean for a glorious four-hundred years alongside her husband, King Mortimer. Compassionate, giving, understanding and selfless, those would all be descriptions of exactly what Delphine is not, however masks being. Behind all that long, luscious hair and captivating eyes, the Queen is a vile, wretched being full of greed, desire, and most of all, hatred for those foul Sirens and lazy humans. What she wouldn't do to crush them in the palm of their hand. Every day the Queen grows more impatient, and it's only a matter of time before her people find out.

Mortimer hides behind his brooding, enigmatic gaze, whilst his Queen flashes the nation with her pearly-white lies.

Contrary to popular myth or what nasty tales the Mermaid folk may spread, the wise King Llyr is not only canny, but also culturally educated, open-minded and generous. However there are always two sides to every person, and the latter is not one you wish to the see on the King. Wrath, injustice, betrayal, yet the most terrifying of all, his calm expression and cold stare as he watches the life force drain out of his rivals. The King craves peace and tranquility, he has a vision, a dream, a future in which all species and their most magnificent representatives bear a new superior and flawless being unto the planet, to perfect evolution, and he will not hesitate to draw blood to achieve that, no matter who stands in his way.

THE SIREN QUEEN ;​

Once a mere peasant, rock bottom on the Siren hierarchy, mistreated by others and regarded as filth, it wasn't until Llyr, the heir to the throne at the time, took Rusalka under his wing and spoiled her with all her hearts desires that she truly began to see her beauty and radiate with confidence. For decades, the Cove family disapproved of their love, of their visions of the future, Llyr's radical plans of "attaining peace" frightened them. Rusalka was warned, persuaded even to leave Llyr and get to safety before it was too late for her, but she was blinded by love, and at the young age of 1200, the new King and Queen took up the monarchy after the sudden death of the Cove family, poisoned by one of their "maids". A tragedy to be remembered, truly.

The captain is the leader of the Mermaid clan, much like the Keeper they’ve inherited their rights and honor from their bloodline, very unjustly so. Although the fairytale tells that mermaids are inherently good whilst sirens seek only evil, this contradicts itself in their case. The captain, detests humans and sirens alike. They have the same interests as the wicked, to become the superior species and claim the Earth for themselves, however they may reign destruction upon their enemies before winning their game.

DESCRIPTION
Gabriel Riddle, the original town Keeper and Keyholder before passing on the responsibility to his eldest son Elijah, has been an important figure in Lachrymose for many years, being in charge of the lighthouse, safekeeping of town documents and the bookkeeping of local businesses, not only is he trusted but also adored by the villagers. Little do they know, he is nothing like he seems.

DESCRIPTION
Wallace Bernanrd has been in the fishing industry ever since he was a young child back in the golden days, he took over his fathers business, Bernard Bait, when he was just twenty-two years old and has been running it in Lachrymose ever since. Highly respected and appreciated by the folk of the town, Wallace is a kind, friendly and empathetic old man, usually seen around the bay or at the Seaside Cafè.

DESCRIPTION
Owner of the Seaside Cafè, located by the seaside just as the name suggests. The cafè was built back in the 1920s after a drunk bet between two business men, one of them being Michael Esposito. after that, it has been tradition to hand the ownership of the cafe down to the first child. Giovanni’s mother, Estella, still shows up every morning at 6 am to help her son and often point out Giovanni’s mistakes loudly in a thick italian accent.
