I'm going to try and write a post this weekend. It's busy on my end for the holidays and I owe some other RPs a response. Sorry for lagging behind cause I'm still in this.
I will also be bowing out. It looks like this won't be revived, but I am not in the best condition mentally and have not been for some time. Cheers to all of you guys writing endeavors.
I imagine the Hornet and 29k got the nod because of their multirole capabilities, small size, overall design, and being better suited current mission demands with newer electronics.
It's kinda hard to compare the 14 and the 18 in that respect because they were designed like complimentary pairs...
It definitely is. You can use almost any plane in AC7 to the end.
I just prefer 4's version with the F-14A where its more of a midgame plane and functions as a fighter than a multirole.
I just really like the aesthetic of the plane. It's like a flying dagger.
The Tomcat is a sexy plane as well. I just don't use it very much in AC. I think it and the F-16 keep getting done dirty by making them early game planes. Only Ace Combat 6 really did the cat justice by making it viable...
@Rusty of Shackleford
How do you want to play from here? I went ahead and took care of all the pre-flight stuff on my end. I'm thinking I'm going to let you go through the takeoff procedures and just have Spook follow you out and go airborn next post?
Yeah. The DCS stuff is mad useful. Especially the cockpit tutorials since Ive never actually gotten to play it properly due to how much stuff is required.
Oh, since we're sharing research information, I think I still have a list of fighter pilot vernacular / terminology laying around from a previous RP if thats something you guys would like to see.
If I don't, I could probably find the video I got them from.
Note about that last one: Strangereal seems to violate this rule whenever the hell it wants if the circum-pacific war and belkan war pilots are to be believed.
