Haha, or at least a starter/ opening.
I've never made an RP on this site, and I'm a little more used to 1v1 and/ or winging it. @_@
For some reason I was thinking of either a fantasy or school setting.
Moving convo, sorry.
I wonder how character creation would go.
"Mary-Sue characters only, must have no personality flaws, only contrived "weaknesses" based on social rejection/ domestic abuse/ tragic and innocent backstory allowed. Please provide RP sample of your character failing to save the world because evil/...
Taraninja, I will admit I giggled while reading that whole thing, but writing that at age 9, that's actually pretty impressive. I think I *kind of* wrote that well at that age myself, and I knew a girl my age who wrote better than I did in some ways. To be honest, I think it's pretty impressive...
I got so into learning Japanese at one point I was seeing Japanese words when they weren't there. Phrases like "for Pete's sake" temporarily took on interesting new meanings.
To deal with this, I usually just decide whether I'm playing a self-insert or not to start with, and if so, how "true" she is to me. If not, I start listing character traits, and if I see some that run too similarly to me, I grab a few and reverse them.

@Purple Kitti i have so many questions now ajshjehsj HOW does that happen?? i have no words :") just... amazing
I think just carrying an RP on long enough produces natural lulls and meandering in storytelling here and there. We were posting super-frequently for several months by the time it...
- Names, kinda, although as often as not a good name will jump out at me. I have agonized over a good name for great lengths of time, though. Sometimes I reuse names just to cut time.
- Profiles with endless details. Look, let me find out who my character is by playing, I'm not interested in...
"VRMMORPG Rp "
I fumbled reading that, like, six times. XD
Yeah, and I hate to be a rules lawyer (even though I've been forced into it a few times), so... yeah, no thanks. XD
I just got back on here today for the first time since I joined in 2015 (whoah, I didn't realize it had been that long!) and still haven't played on here partly because of that reason (moooooossssstly because of my absence, though, haha). Since 2011 I've been in exactly 2 (3?) group RPs, all...
I think "static" characters can be good for short-term RPs, but if you're going to play for a lengthy time, definitely get in some character growth! There are fiction series (TV, books) that feature static heroes that don't really experience a whole lot of growth, because all the action around...
I take the same approach as any novel/ manga/ TV show/ movie based on a video game would take and just write that way. Cinema usually doesn't address game mechanics.
Although I did have an interesting experience in a cross-fandom RP where one of the players was based on a video game, used a...
Overly stringent rules, particularly requiring a LARGE word count minimum. I don't remember where this was, but I passed up an RP once that demanded a 10 paragraph minimum, and I don't remember if it was the same one or not, but one requiring 10 sentences minimum per paragraph. (God I hope those...
