This is almost off topic, but this reminded me of a character in GTA IV. Can't remember his name, and I'm not gonna guess where he was from, but he had this accent and way of speaking where I couldn't understand most of what he said, and it was both audio and subtitles.

Hm....that's actually a good point. I'll definitely keep that in consideration. As for the feather, one of the reasons I decided on only one is because I'm not that great at drawing large masses of feathers. Though if I take off the stability issue, they wouldn't need to be color coded anymore...

I have too many ideas as well. I used to count how many characters I had, but I stopped at around four hundred. I think my problem is that it's too easy for me to be inspired. Sometimes I'll make a character that originated as nothing more than a random line of dialog that flew through my head...
